So it was December 2017, when I figured out I was pregnant. It was around the middle of the month, when I took my first pregnancy test in which was positive. A week or two later I got two more pregnancy tests, I wanted to be rather sure before I went and made a doctors appointment. I didn't get to see a doctor until January 7'th, that is where I found out an estimated due date, which was august 10'th. I have to be honest I was just about terrified because I had no idea how I was going to provide for a child, I still lived with my parents little lone have my own kid. It wasn't the best timing to be pregnant I hadn't quite turned 21 yet, was working at a dollar store, living with my parents, and your dad was sneaking into my room at night just to have a place to stay half the time. (Just saying, two people on a twin bed makes for 100% cuddles 100% of the time.) So no it wasn't really a good time to find out I was pregnant. I remember even though I was terrified and had no idea how things were going to work out I was still excited to find out I was pregnant with you. Now I must tell you, that there are several different versions of this story floating around out there, but this is how it really went down so don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
We were excited so we told our friends I was pregnant, however my parents weren't quite in this loop, your grandparents well really just your grandfather, was going through this phase where mommy wasn't really on his good side, he didn't like the boy I was seeing (your dad) and he didn't seem to like the person I was. Me and him haven't seen eye to eye in years though so I suppose I'm not all that surprised.
We didn't know what to do and people kept bugging us about you, so we ended up telling people I wasn't pregnant anymore even though we still knew the truth. I was more or less terrified of what it was my parents were going to say if they found out I was pregnant with you, I know that they didn't like your father for a good while...
See your grandfather was busy putting together one of his projects that he likes to do. He was creating a place for homeless people to go and get help getting on their feet which is nice but once he was done building it up, and getting it going he was done with it, he needed something new. So he decided to look for a new church, and chose one in Colorado. At first me and your father were going to stay back in Olney, my parents wanted me to move with them but the offer wasn't open to your dad as well, I had just figured out I was pregnant there was no way I was going to leave your father behind like that! A bunch of drama happened in the process of which I prefer not to recall, but eventually your grandfather either got used to the idea that your dad wasn't going anywhere, or had some marvelous revelation to which no one else is aware. Eventually things went right somewhere and we all ended up moving to Colorado.
