It had been what felt like forever and a day since Roukan had seen, let alone talked to another Pae. He had managed to track down a few of the souls his spirits had come in contact with, relieved to see that they looked happy, or at least that was the impression he had gotten just from watching them. He hadn't dared go up to them personally, his lack of confidence wouldn't let him just do that. He couldn't bare the thought of learning that he had been responsible for possibly ruining their lives.

A nose to his hand brought him out of his temporary thoughts. He smiled, patting his companion on the head, seeing her form glimmer only faintly. She was much more corporeal near him than when she strayed. Though he had become used to it he hated seeing her begin to fade the father she got from him. He had lost so many other spirits, he couldn't bare to lose her too. "Blue...." he said softly, a faint smile against his lips.

His tail wagged as he lifted his head again to taste the fresh mountain air before feeling a spring in his step again. Chuckling, he eyed the she wolf, a silent conversation passing between the two of them without words before both took off in a full sprint at a random direction to who knew when or where. All he wanted right now was to simply run....

sudden whiff of stranger had come to her. She did not like strangers. Not this close to home. Damn the Brennevin. He always cause trouble.

Snarling at trail, she attacked it. In the following sense. No one in right mind would attack ground. Unless stupid. Then, maybe.

Stamping her way to the where the trail increased in scent, she did not bother to hide her decent down the moutain toward it. It was in her territory. Not she, his. That meant it must answer to her.

She quickly followed the trail to a small area but she was unsure of what she see. What is this? On her land! Like those damn party pae. Always with yammer and the yapping. She was tired. She just want peace.

Yet here she was. With another intruder. Doing Goddess knew, on her side of the moutain. What did she do to keep them away? Make traps and signs?

She cocked an eyebrow from the shadows. At least this one was faun. Maybe was inbred. She know none with a tail, such as that. And what was he talking to?

Roukan had picked up on the scent of another and stopped almost immediately in his tracks. It was a scent that felt familiar but wasn't necessarily so. He ducked quickly behind a tree, Blue following behind him almost naturally. His ears were alert as his icy blue gaze glanced around his surroundings, his tail rigid and stiff.

It didn't seem like the other was moving so he had to wonder if perhaps they had spotted him first, which made his stomach churn. He wasn't good with socializing. He had been thrust into this world at such a young age without any social interaction from others like himself or even similar that he was almost pure animal at this point.

When he finally caught sight of the other, as they didn't seem to care much about hiding themselves, he had to pause. His breath caught in his throat as he eyed her. She looked like him, almost completely....with a few exceptions. She didn't have ears like his and she had branches on her head like some of the other types he had glimpsed before. If he didn't know any better he'd assume he just happened to take up residing in areas where these type of beings lived.

Still, he didn't see man with canine features like himself. It made his heart flutter a bit, but not for any good reasons. At least not yet. Was this another of his 'victims'? Had he been responsible for her features and thusly ruining her life? She seemed angry.....and that made him even more nervous.

Blue pressed her nose into his leg as a way to try to calm him down and he simply shrunk back a bit, leaving his hand on her head for comfort.

Ira scoffed as the other stilled. Of course he had the smelling of her. This was her territory. She wanted him to know what came for him. Death. Well, perhaps not DEAD death. Maybe just maiming. Maim was enough to scare someone. Right?

Deciding that the standoff the two were engaging in was ridiculous, she emerged from her dark corner and crossed her arms over her chest. Her expression was fierce, her eyebrows spanted down across her brow and just the barest hint of fang showing.

"You. Out. This wood is mine." Her accent thick, since she had not practiced speaking to anyone but Brennevin. And sometimes she liked to trip him up with unintelligible words.

Then she waited. Eyeing this....was it a dog? And why was he patting a spot beside his leg. Oh, no. Perhaps she had found one of those simpletons. You know. The kind with...what were they called.

Pets.

Maybe she should call to it so he would leave faster. "Oi. You too." She caled out as if in afterthought. But her gaze was at the dog by his leg.
