It had been what felt like forever and a day since Roukan had seen, let alone talked to another Pae. He had managed to track down a few of the souls his spirits had come in contact with, relieved to see that they looked happy, or at least that was the impression he had gotten just from watching them. He hadn't dared go up to them personally, his lack of confidence wouldn't let him just do that. He couldn't bare the thought of learning that he had been responsible for possibly ruining their lives.
A nose to his hand brought him out of his temporary thoughts. He smiled, patting his companion on the head, seeing her form glimmer only faintly. She was much more corporeal near him than when she strayed. Though he had become used to it he hated seeing her begin to fade the father she got from him. He had lost so many other spirits, he couldn't bare to lose her too. "Blue...." he said softly, a faint smile against his lips.
His tail wagged as he lifted his head again to taste the fresh mountain air before feeling a spring in his step again. Chuckling, he eyed the she wolf, a silent conversation passing between the two of them without words before both took off in a full sprint at a random direction to who knew when or where. All he wanted right now was to simply run....

Roukan had picked up on the scent of another and stopped almost immediately in his tracks. It was a scent that felt familiar but wasn't necessarily so. He ducked quickly behind a tree, Blue following behind him almost naturally. His ears were alert as his icy blue gaze glanced around his surroundings, his tail rigid and stiff.
It didn't seem like the other was moving so he had to wonder if perhaps they had spotted him first, which made his stomach churn. He wasn't good with socializing. He had been thrust into this world at such a young age without any social interaction from others like himself or even similar that he was almost pure animal at this point.
When he finally caught sight of the other, as they didn't seem to care much about hiding themselves, he had to pause. His breath caught in his throat as he eyed her. She looked like him, almost completely....with a few exceptions. She didn't have ears like his and she had branches on her head like some of the other types he had glimpsed before. If he didn't know any better he'd assume he just happened to take up residing in areas where these type of beings lived.
Still, he didn't see man with canine features like himself. It made his heart flutter a bit, but not for any good reasons. At least not yet. Was this another of his 'victims'? Had he been responsible for her features and thusly ruining her life? She seemed angry.....and that made him even more nervous.
Blue pressed her nose into his leg as a way to try to calm him down and he simply shrunk back a bit, leaving his hand on her head for comfort.
