For both Aysel and Rahim, the journey from their previous home to the beaches now had been... a long one. Rahim only somewhat remembered the lands he was born to, having been so young when he and his mother left. For Aysel, she spoke none of the circumstances that lead to their departure, though Rahim was at least aware of the lost, sorrowful, or at times even wistful looks she would send towards a certain direction depending on their travels.
He'd learned early the uselessness of trying to pester his mother for information. She was steadfast in her decisions, now as ever.
The silvery lioness had taken the lead over him, something she often remarked to him was only because they were without a male leader or defender--a role he'd been raised pointedly to take over. Even now he walked ahead of his mother by a good handful of steps, his own grey eyes keen as he looked about for potential prey or threats.
Thus, of course, why he came to a halt upon spotting the figures ahead, one lounging about on a rock on their back. Behind him, he could feel his mother's presence, a comforting sensation. He was not alone, even in whatever strange lands they went to.
"Hello," he called out, "could you tell us what these lands are?" He felt it was obvious they were travellers, if he was asking such things.

"Well that depends really," Tomsnii replied without looking up from her nails. Here she was on the border complaining that nothing was going on and right in front of her, a mirage of a lion and his mother had formed. It was exactly what she had wanted and yet her mind had yet to catch up to the fact that she was most assuredly not lone.
Well, excluding her sister of course.
"Who's asking?" Amtat rolled her eyes at her sister and turned her gaze back towards their new visitors. Clearly related, she surmised that the older lioness might be his mother, aunt or even an older sister. Not exactly exciting but given they were the first things they had seen in a while she'd take it. It was in those moments that she rolled back on to her stomach and clucked her tongue.
"You're on the borders of the Bahari, if that helps you get your bearings," she mused.
"Oh, or were you asking who the Bahari are?" Tomsnii finally looked up and tossed a look towards the pair. "Which, in fairness, would depend entirely on your answer to Amtat," she gave a wave of her paw towards her sister. "Carry on."
