Coraciidae chooses C and takes the sudden turn towards the wails
First Coraciidae had been falling and now she stood awkwardly stiff as marble grit flaked off her feathers. All her focus for a few seconds was on brushing the dust away before her attention was finally caught by a raucous din of clanging metal and shouting. Glancing up from her preening, her pupils dilated and she attempted to look everywhere at once.
Firelight danced and shone on bronze everywhere she looked. Helmets, armor, swirling patterns all over the marble columns, and those pots like beacons. She wanted a closer look. Spreading her wings, she took a quick leap in the air.. and stumbled forward a step when she failed to take flight. What was wrong with her wings? Were they still encased in marble? No, that couldn't be it.
She took a couple more test hops to see if she could get any lift, but was frustrated every time. Pouting, she picked her way through the hazardous terrain, heading in the general direction of the long path sided by columns and crossed by occasional jets of fire. But then she heard this mournful wailing and veered to the right, following the sound. Those paeple sounded miserable, sure, but it seemed better to walk into that than the middle of a fight.

Eleora chooses A
Eleora was about to respond to the okten she had bumped into when thing had started to go south, quite literally. As she fell through the floor, she attempted to flutter her wings, but despite their rapid beating she continued to fall into darkness until she found herself sitting in the shell of a marbled statue. With much confusion, the female climbed out, looking for the male she had just been speaking with. She didn't see him among the few pae that were gathered here, only strangers covered in white dust. She attempted to fly again, but it proved useless aside from shaking off some of the marble debris that had been on her. Strange.
Eleora didn't like the sounds she could hear in the distance, actually she didn't like any of this. Other pae seemed quick to head off in one direction, and Eleora thought perhaps she should follow them, although it made her nervous hearing all of the wailing. She was about to follow when she saw a pae stop to pick up some of the weapons that were scattered around the floor. That was a good idea. With the sounds she was hearing, it felt like she could use some protection, she could still follow the others after. She began to dig out a sword, wondering if she would actually be able to use it if she needed too. At least she might feel better if she had it.

Coraciidae chooses 3-A and heads west toward the defeated creature
Cora plodded along behind the other pae who had chosen to take the path that led to the wailing voices, becoming more morose as the cries got louder. Scuffing her feet, she continued to pout and sulk over her apparently out of commission wings. Something was keeping her grounded and she didn't like it, not one bit. Her wings were, of course, gorgeous. But they had also been useful up to this point.
When she came to the fork in the road, she cocked her head west then east then west again. What she'd thought had been many voices of other pae sounded now like single somethings, one very, very mad and the other thoroughly depressed. With a small sigh, she turned west. Misery loved company, right?
