:[VDay 2020]: The Maze of Chaos

Welcome to My Insanity!

The ground cushioned the fall of all those sent into chaos and Eris' shrill laughter reverberates against the walls. The air felt heavy and it took a little more effort to breathe but it smelled of cookies adding to the overall sense of joy existing in this place. The pae landed on something bouncy, and it is difficult to get up and walk. The laughter turned into giggles. Sweet and innocent child-like giggles.

"Do you want to play a game!?" An unseen child asked.

Two ports of exit, one to the East and one to the South, were guarded by little cherubs in party hats, holding big purple balloons. A golden apple depicted on each balloon. "Come play with us!" They spoke in unison.

Chaos doesn't even begin to explain where your Pae just landed. What will they do?
A. Stay. Try not to cry. Cry a lot.

C. Head south towards the other creepy Cherub.

Reindonis smiled seeing the cherubs with the ballons maybe this was a party after all. He walked up to them and grinned "So what is the name of the game?" He was ready for a challenge, game, party. Whatever they had planned he would roll with it and go for having fun and adventure. He wouldn't shy away from something that wasn't normal, normal was not in his wheelhouse anyway.

With only a singular thought in the angel's mind, he slowly moved his body into the fetal position and silently began to cry.

The shadow that extended from Kolgae seemed to have gained a mind of its own; like a mime, his silhouette appeared to be trying to coax the black angel into action... or at least into a sitting position.

It didn't appear to be working.

Did she get called off to ANOTHER world? Oh boy. Where was this? Heavy air, the sent of cookies and child laughter? Ya it might have been funner at the party. Kally fumbled a bit as she tried to get up but the ground made it difficult. She quickly got frustrated and just sat like a pouting child for a moment before digging in her claws to help her gain her footing. If she broke one of her beautiful claws there would be hell to pay.

Luckily for her the male she had been cooing over landed near here. And some others as well but she really did not care for them. "Huh. Not the party I was expecting. Plus a giant mood killer." Kally flicked her tail as she looked around. "Someone does like cookies though." Did that mean there was food around? Better food at least?

Then there was the Cherubs speaking. Urrg. She didn't like them. "Well then handsome, east or south? Those seem to be the only options." She huffed slightly. Both options seemed like a loose loose but what else could they do? Stay here? Not likely.

Applebloom was definitely sorry she came to this stupid party this year. She had no idea who that lady was pretending to be Venus and she had no idea where in Telrunya she was now.

And those cherubs with the balloons were creepy as all get out. It seemed like she really only had two choices to try and get out of here and both of them were manned by creepy cherubs. "Great," she muttered and picked a direction.

This one also had a mini reindeer Pae with rainbow antlers. Huh. "Hiya," she said to him.

Reindonis smiled at the pretty yellow tall girl and said "Hiya, I'm just seeing what these cherubs have planned here, I'm Reindonis." He looked back at the greeters and tried to remember if they looked the same as the band members from before. "I'm not sure if they are from the band or not I didn't get to watch for very long before we were dropped into the darkness. Did you notice?" He noted he didn't know what to call her. "What's your name?"

"Nice to meetcha, Reindonis," she said and smiled a bit. She looked a little closer at the cherubs but she hadn't paid attention to the ones from earlier too much either. "I'm not sure, honestly. Weren't the ones up there kinda punk rock lookin' though?" She shrugged. "Oh, right, sorry!" she apologized with a small laugh. "I'm Applebloom."

Nonougo choose b.

Nonougo was freaking the ******** out. Mom had said to go play. Mom had said to find food. Mom had NOT said to fall into a floor chasm cause a damn fish pissed off a god. She didnt know which god had been pissed off, but she wasnt sure she liked this one either. Holes in the ground were about as bad as false, sloppy love. When she got out of here, her and mom were gonna have a talk about her new boundries. Including banning Nonougo from any future valentines events.

When she finally landed, she bounced a few times and watched the other struggle. Good thing she freaking slithered. Hearing the laugh of the Not Venus was really creepy. She had slithered about two inches when she heard the first creepy child. And then the other.

Staring back and forth, she legit swore. Well this was a pickle. Which way was gonna get her out of here? She couldnt exactly stay and slither around. But she couldnt exactly just choose either. She did the nature responsible thing. She played eeny meeny miney mo.

Which pointed her at creepy cherub number 1. Great. Taking a deep breath, she slithered toward the tiny cherub and ignored the growl in her stomach that erupted due to the odd smell of cookies in this dank, thick smelling air. Her tongue burned a little as she stuck it out to taste the air around the tiny cherub.

God, the smell coming off the cherub tasted even better. But no. She couldn't. Those things smelt great, but their horrible aftertaste would ward off even a starving naga. Deciding to distract herself, she eyed the little cherub and attempted to reason with it. If it even could be reasoned with. Let's face it. Mass hallucinations weren't always agreeable.

"I'll play with you if you let me have that balloon? I find it ssssssssoooo adorable." She added a lilt to her voice to match the surroundings. She, in fact, did NOT find it adorable but she wanted to collect things to show her mom so mom wouldnt think she was fu**ingg nuts when she told her about Not Venus and the hole in the ground.

You know, if they hadn't literally fallen into this situation in quite so unsettling a fashion what with all the dark swirling mist and falling into a pitch black void, the cushy, bouncy landing might have been fun. And the smell of cookies might have made Selich go in search of the sweets instead of feeling like they were trapped in some demented bakery. Nope, no thank you. Selich did not want to play. But staying here with both creepy Cherubs looking on was absolutely not an option.

"Weel... Ah'm no' sure there'll be anypae comin' ta save us, anyway. And Ah'd rather take odds on one of them wee lads than both. One way's good as t'other then?" he said to Hanna, squeezing her hand and leading her toward the Cherub to the south.

Monroe x Gray choose C

'We need to get out of here...'

Well, too late.

Monroe desperately reached for Gray's hand as they fell through the darkness, at last finding it as they landed on something bouncy. She quickly looked down to examine what exactly they had fallen on. It seemed harmless... She took a breath of relief, that was when she smelled the cookies. That smelled good, much better than the sad attempt she had for bread before they fell. Monroe quickly checked her pocket to make sure her makeshift bread weapon was still there. It was.

She found herself filled with Joy as the cherubs called out to them. "Come on!" She called to Gray, tugging him along with her as she tried to stand up. The ground was so bouncy that she ended up toppling all over him. The girl giggled, that was fun.

She finally managed to figure out how to walk on this bouncy surface, after a few more bumps and giggles with her boyfriend (some intentional, some not) and headed towards the cherub that their wobbly path had led them to.

[Eclipsing Swarm - A. Stay. Try not to cry. Cry a lot.]

"OOF!"

Grumbling a bit to herself, Eclipsing Swarm had to admit some relief to have fallen somewhere so...bouncy...after such a long drop. Strange that her wings hadn't been able to even slow her fall. The inky blackness had been a nice element though. Well done.

Ah right, where was she now? A cacophony of laughter met her perked ears and she looked around curiously. Nearby, two odd childlike things beckoned her to play with them. Well, she and the other Pae picking themselves up off the ground. She checked her arms and wings, nothing broken, good. With some effort to balance on the oddly bouncy ground, she managed finally to get one hoof under her. Then the next.

Then the next. And the next.

Wait a minute.

Puzzled, she stared down at the two hooves where they should be, then the second pair of hooves behind that. Um, since when had her butt gotten that big...oh and sprouted a couple extra legs? The very confused bug horse attempted to turn herself about and get a better look at her strange new changed form, but unused to having the extra limbs, she had no idea how to coordinate moving with them. She not only managed to get her legs tangled, but also kick one of her own ankles hard with another hoof, which sent her sprawling back to the rolling ground. Her eyes burned a bit, fighting back tears from the sharp sudden pain. She wouldn't be going anywhere, to play with strange children or not, until she got her own body under control.

Awe heck no! now Tugger was angry, this was just..... he literally yelled out loud and swore, not caring about the feelings of more delicate personages... this whole thing had just turned very sour.

Then he focused, hearing a feminine voice, and turned towards the female Rak he had been trying to chat up. "Wasn't a party at all my dear... now this?!.... " he sneered towards the two cherubs. Food could wait, sitting around wasn't in his plans either even if those Cherubs creeped him out.

"One way is as good as another my lady..ah...i forgot to ask your name" he said with a cheeky grin, giving her a small bow "This way then, stay close, i'll protect you" he laughed, knowing that, as a rak, she had no need of being protected. "I'm Tugger by the way"

[Kolgae x Eszra - C - head south]

If Luna wants to post, Kolgae wants to cry, but let's say Eszra ain't about that life. Will respond properly tomorrow.

Well.

All that certainly happened.

"Now this is more like it!" She laughed, glacing around at her surroundings.

"Ain't that the truth toots!" Her turnip cackled, jitttering madly on his stick.

Eszra blinker. Usually he never talked unless someone passed thru her barriers (realistically, were not going into the times she thinks that he talks). But now he really was. And he sounded like some kinda northern Jersey type.

"Whadda we waitin for? Fun and games lie a head!" He cackled again.

Eszra studied him a moment before glancing around and spotting the black angel she had been with previously, sitting down in fetal position and crying. Smiling she ran over and grabbed his hand. "No time for that now sweetums, a body in motion stays in motion!" She said, tugging him towards the south exit and the creepy cherub. "I bet he knows something! Right nippy?"

"Right again doll! And ey ey why the looooooong face dark boy? Bahahahahahahahahahaha!" The turnip laughed as it's face seemed to stretch rather impossibly long and actually in Kolgaes direction.

Mobie is choosing C

NOPE ... was the first thing Mobie thought upon appearing in this new place, he looked around for Tugger and was going to call him back but he saw the Rak with another, a female and he felt instantly guilty about wanting to call him away... no.. no he had to be brave, even in the face of two creepy little cherubs. He wanted to sit and cry a little but no, he would follow in Tugger's footsteps, even though he didn't have feet. He would go follow one of the Cherubs.

FOR THOSE WHO CHOSE A (if you didn’t post this is your option)
Uhg, so much crying. It was really annoying! The Cherubs covered their ears and growled at the Pae who were left behind. This wouldn’t do at all. They had asked them to come play!

Two giant boots appeared behind the gathering of Pae. They stomped twice before booting them in the behind and shooting them forward into the maze. They had to play! No choice no choice!

1-A. Soar through the air towards the east
1-B. Tumble towards the south


FOR THOSE WHO CHOSE B
You head east down a long hallway, the smell of peanut butter filling your senses. As you walk the ground become wobbly and hard to manage. Finally you come to an intersection and all halts as if awaiting your choice. To the west is utter darkness, the sound of child-like giggling with a creepy deepness to it is heard. The east path is better lit, but there is something- wait, is that blood streaming down the walls?

2-A. Head west towards the questionable laughter
2-B. Head east and possibly find out where the blood is coming from


FOR THOSE WHO CHOSE C
The Pae head south towards the playing grounds of the creepy cherub. As they walk, giant red rubber balls shoot out from the sides of the walls and nail them as they pass. They’d better hurry if they don’t want to get one in the head- oops spoke too soon. Kolgae manages to take one for the team and hits the ground. When he does, though, he finds himself ontop of an old, worn scroll.

Kolgae has trigged a booby trap and gets a power scroll in return!

The group manages to survive the impromptu dodgeball session and finds that their long hallway has an opening to the east. They can continue forward if they’d like, but the east smells like a rainy afternoon. That sounds pleasant doesn’t?

3-A. You’ve already come this far, might as well continue forward and see where the hallway leads
3-B. Mmm that smells nice, lets head east!
