Oh Venus, he'd never find his dad at this rate, or anyone else for that matter. Would he even see Momda again? Sighing, he rubbed his temples, glancing around. Well, going west and catching up with the rest of the group seemed the smartest thing to do right now. As he went, he noticed his feet making heavier sloshing sounds than before and they strangely felt heavier. Looking down he noticed the black shadowy oil of the ground seemed to be forming on his feet like boots. "Oh great....." he whimpered softly, hoping that they'd slosh off later and he wasn't stuck this way...

Oriana x Bindi B. Head West
Oriana watched in horror as the other Pae around them left them behind. Did they HAVE to keep moving? Was that the only way to get out of this nightmare of a place and get her fins back? She looked towards her new friend with sorrow in her eyes, "Lets go." she said softly. "Before something worse happens to us."
She motioned her to follow, most definitely slithering AWAY from all the commotion. NO way would you see her running head long into trouble. Nope, she was all about just getting out of here as quietly as possible...
Xoana clung to Beltan for dear life, sorely, sorely glad that he had the training he did, and was keeping her safe. She did a lot of tripping over her land feet, but eventually she got them solidly underneath her to keep up so he wasn't needing to drag her as much. Until they got to the oil, that was. She slipped in it with a yelp and would have landed squarely on her rear if he hadn't also slipped, grabbed onto her, and slid both of them into the wall.
"Chum!" she swore. "What in the depths was that?" Under different circumstances she might have been embarrassed using such language in front of him--she did want him to think she was a lady, after all--but this didn't seem like the time or place for caring about that.
Beltan x Xoana choose B and continue South
Totally unprepared for the vehemence or the content of her exclamation, Beltan snorted on a laugh which he tried to quickly cover with a polite cough. She had perfectly summed up his thoughts on this whole thing in a delightfully colorful way. But, apparently, this place wasn't finished with its tricks because at that very moment the West wall gave a great buckling lurch and slid down into the floor with the deep rumbling of shifting rock while the shadows there frantically wiggled out of the way.
"That's an excellent question. Unfortunately, I don't have any good answers. Nothing is what it seems here and, I dunno about you, but I'm creeped by the giggling and I don't wanna find out what's wrong with the cookies. Only thing for it is to keep going, I think. Shall we?"
After Beltan laughed at her, Xoana had the good sense to be a little embarrassed, and she blushed a little. At least if he could find humor in the situation, it meant they weren't in immediate danger, right? She took a deep breath to try to calm herself.
"Everything here is creepy," she agreed. "I'm glad we're together. Let's keep going."

[Killa x Ranuin | A : Westward to Cookies]
Killa was incapable of processing what was happening as the Agony was pushed further away and her body was pulled back in the direction she'd come from. Stumbling forward a bit before she was able to regain her balance, she blinked twice before looking up at the significantly-larger wolf faun pulling her forward.
Now, normally she would probably be terrified at the prospect of a big, scary, wolflike stranger appearing from nowhere and pulling her into darkness.
This was no exception.
However, she was already in such a state of panic that it seemed to merely blend in with the rest of everything and hardly registered as a new threat. Lucky Ranuin?
The pair managed to weave through the maze and catch up with the group ... just in time to see them split up between two paths. One of these continued into the scary shadows, the other opened up with a pleasant aroma. Eyes tearing up once more, a wave of hope and relief washed over Killa - clearly this was how they could get out of this dark, scary place! Without bothering to get free of Ranuin's grip or even, you know, say anything to him, her strong bunny legs propelled her forward towards the 'safe space'.
Phorcys kept a strong hold of Mellinae when she gasped and his eyes narrowed at the drop of the wall. No, he didn't like ANY of this. "I agree. It feels like every turn of the corner is another trap lying in wait. Let's keep moving."
As they continued down the pathway, he took a glance now and again to the woman at his side. He recalled that they had originally hooked up seasons ago and he'd thought little more at first than another pretty face in the lake. Heh. And here they were, together in the middle of unknown dangers, and she was still impressing him with her inner strength and how well she had adapted in the face of adversity. He didn't say any of this aloud, but did ask quietly as they 'walked,' "You still doing okay? You seem to have gotten the hang of your new land legs." He chuckled lightly to try and ease some of the anxiety and tension of the situation.

Mellinae grimaced at his question. "If this is what surface living is like, I say we stay down under." She took a moment to eyeball her thin crab like legs. "But at least now, I know what a knee is, right?" She said, continuing his 'lightening the mood' trend. "And if we ever come across that evil witch who gave me knees, I swear on the queen, I'll give her one right back." She spat.
Seriously. Who in their twisted mind would come up with these things? If he hadn't been here, she didnt know what she would have done.
Beryl took the break to catch her breath and to make sure she wasn't more than bruised after being bounced around like a ball from that toss. Afterwards Hauyne suggested that they keep going North and she nodded. "Sounds good. Seems that the creature might be heading that way too." She wasn't going to leave her without hitting something. Even if that something was the non-moving ground if the creature decided to keep hiding. Whatever was in here needed to go.
And then they could celebrate by eating a few of the harpies.

Aquos, Rainbow Dash, Kelpie, Jae As you round the corner you see a Pae fleeing. Who was that? You look around and frown, well other than that its just a dead end. Time to turn back around. As you do, you make note of the paths you’ve already gone down and head north- oh hey! You run into others, have your greetings and continue on. You turn west before finding a sharp turn south… Well alright it felt like you had just come from that direction. You all pause as a split appears to the east of the path you are taking. These decisions never get easier.
South you can hear the excited chattering of conversation. It sounds like a huge group is down there! Safety in numbers? Or perhaps it’s a bunch of rocker cherub ready to knock you out? Hmm maybe going away from the sound would be better. You peer into the darkness to the east and see something shimmering. Ooo that’s pretty!
A. It looks like some others are further south, we should follow them! B. Hmm there is something shiny down the east path we should go this way!
One might call it a miracle that they had all found each. They took such different paths it was remarkable. The junction where they stood was a little unique. The could go East, but one could hear clanking and yelling in the distance. The could go Southeast and follow a trail of small purple feathers. The third choice was straight south, into darkness. The walls looked oily and fluid. Hands reached out trying to blindly grasp anything daring to come too close. Deep down the path in the absolute darkness there was a tiny little speck of light.
Which do they choose: A. Investigate the clanking. It obviously is metal hitting metal, but the yelling was intriguing. B. Follow the purple feathers Southeast. Perhaps it’s a breadcrumb trail C. Head straight South into the darkness. Hold your hair and wings down less they be caught.
Ugh. The path turned into a dead end. She was so hungry... She just wanted out of here so she could get something to eat. Unfortunately, the path she took backward led her to what sounded like a big crowd of Pae. Ugh. No thank you. Another path choice came up and she headed toward it.
It was made better by the fact that something shimmered down the hallway....

Blush has had it! She was done with this stupid freaking maze. She took on the macho personality, to see if it would help her fight off the growing fear she had inside her. But oh, no! The stupid Agony named Neika had decided she needed a bit of a fight in all of this... this... STUPID thing! Rather than taking to fight like her other companions that she found in the midst of this scenario, she went to find a big stick to fight off only to return to find it defeated. The pink pae'il's night was definitely not one of good luck, she hated it. Maybe she should just bury herself when she gets home and never leave again? That is if she can get out of this godforsaken place, to begin with. Rolling her eyes, she dropped the heavy stick and proceeded to follow the others on the 'quest' that they are currently on.
It seemed like it was endless, with all the twists and turns they had to take until they reached their current predicament. When the split was approached, the red-head turned around to observe what was around her at the moment and gave a deep sigh. "I am definitely not getting conned into something freaking shiny again," she muttered and shook her head angrily. Being in a group is much better; granted, it would attract something big and bad, but being alone and chasing something shiny would do the same thing. Soo.... onward with the others to head south!

Oh thank everything there were paeple again.
Fresh, warm tears rolled down her face as pure relief washed over the fey. They had found others; they weren't alone anymore. Turning to look over at what otherwise might have been a scary faun, Killa took his hands in hers and looked up at him with a sniffle and her ears folded down behind her head. "Thank you so much for helping me!" Another sniffle. "I-I'm Killa by the way - KEE·lyah not... uh... KILL·ah... W-What's your...?" Her ears shot up as the sound of metal on metal reverberated through the room, the closest one flicking towards the source to the east.
Her body grew stiff as she was abruptly pulled back to reality. That's right. They were still here. They weren't safe here. Her ears folded back down and her hands started shaking as she quickly turned her head this way and that to reassess the situation. The direction of the scary sounds was no good, nor was that one that seemed to have super scary hands grabbing this way and that. She didn't care that there was light at the ends of it - what if it was just another scary pae like before?
Oh no... If they ran into another super scary pae... She didn't want to think about it.
They needed to move. But she was too scared to move.

Mellinae and phorcys choose the darkness, c
Mellinae took a moment to breath at this next fork. And she thought really hard. Perhaps the maze was keeping them running by providing empty threats. Only they didnt know they were empty, so like blind sheep, they followed the Maze's game? Turning toward Phorcys, she grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him close. "I don't like this. The maze is tricking us. " she pointed down the feathered path. "A friend in need." She pointed down the path with clanking amd fight sounds. "Fellow fighters. "
She finally pointed toward the darkness, the one with the grasping hands. "What if the most protected way is the way out?" She asked. "We've ran all over this place and keep getting lead on. What if we need to fight to get out?" She asked. She was worried she sounded crazy but hoped he understood. He was such a strong man, surely his brain matched.
She turned her full body toward the darkness. "I'm done running, phorcys. I want to go home." She teared up a little at that last part, but stuck her chest out. This was it.
She had had a great run. Met a great guy. Attended a decent party, allbeit with a wonky end. Why did every party they go to have such a ******** up ending? Grabbing Phorcys hand in hers, she smiled. "With you I can do anything." Befor taking off and heading for the darkness with a yell.
Rainbow Dash x Aquos choose B Rainbow Dash's head was spinning. First the fight, which she and Aquos had bravely mastered. They were a pretty good team it turned out, which surprised her. She knew she could handle herself, of course, but he hadn't seemed so certain. Second, all these different paths... it was hard to keep track of them, that was probably what was wearing her out the most.
Finally they met up with some others. "This is great!" Rainbow Dash thought aloud, safety in numbers, although it also made her feel like they had just been going in circles.
The 'Daring Do' reader in her saw the shimmer and thought that it had to be some super secret awesome treasure. For a moment her mental exhaustion disappeared and was replaced with excitement. "Let's follow them." she encouraged Aquos, seeing that another pae had already gone that way.
