N'y'ar was neither born of a hold nor a weyr. Raised as part of a travelling holdless merchanting family, he's never known hold or weyr until recently, when 'captured' on a search. He performed for his meals when he was free, and now performs for fun. A natural showman, he has a tendency to embelish his clothes and words to make them as flashy as possible.

Finn, AKA Hucklewherry, is known for his dangerous games and silly maneuvers. Getting his chores done by getting others to do them, and generally getting in trouble. For that matter, he wasn't even supposed to be at the hatching to begin with; he snuck in with a friend who had gotten the invite, and who had hardly been aware of him until the dragon showed up.

Corubin (Cubbin, to his grandparents) grew up spoiled, but learned quickly his entitled behaviors only garnered negative attentions after he joined the candidacy. It took him only a short time to figure out he got more positive attention when he gave it, so he kind of adopted a 'big brother' persona around other candidates. Since he's been a candidate long enough, this has become more of his true self than he initially intended, though he still enjoys the finer things.
