Candidate Tollar
Tollar had not expected the egg to shift, and was instantly afraid he'd set his giant hands too hard upon it's shell, a quick glance at the gold to make sure he wouldn't bear the brunt of any rage for it before his spiked heart rate began to drop. He should be used to this. He's seen eggs shimmy and jostle for a fresh touch, he's 'heard' them in his head. Would he ever get used to that? He took a calming breath before cracking an unpracticed smile at it and muttering something barely intelligible under his breath. His thoughts were clearer, and guarded against his words. (He'd heard THAT talk too many times...) ~I am barely a trundlebug to your magnificence. How do you fare today? The heat treating you well? There's sharding-well a lot of it.~
Careese of Bronze Toplamath
Careese, satisfied her first load were all dismounted safely with no torn garments, gave a respectful bow to the weyrlingmasters on watch and waited to be sent for another batch. She'd managed to fit some 9 or 10 little white-robed ragamuffins on her great Toplamath, and he panted with glee at the excercise, and the 'hugs from aboves'
Dimeti of White Giligelith (1)
Dimeti wasn't usually one to attend hatchings unless he had to. Today, however, he was willing to make some exception. After all, his new weyrmates were all there, and with as many candidates as were coming, they could use the extra eyes. They'd never keep up without him, surely!
So, there he was, settled in the stands and looking over their great, healthy, beautiful gold. And he was Busy fluffing his white's ego, assuring him that no other dragon here could possibly compare.
C'ran of green Tefelath (1)
The farmer had been left curious. He wanted to see this clutch, and he wanted to see the candidates who were so willing to put themselves on the line like this for just... a chance. However much of a sliver it might be. He wondered if it would always be a chance, now that things had so drastically changed, and he hoped not. But, no, positive thoughts, he reminded himself. ~Lest ye spoil the eggs for them.~ his green remarked in the depths of his mind, and he silenced his thoughts. He could not afford to worsen the chances with his own wanderings. So instead, he turned his mind to making plans. Happier plans, similar to those running through all the candidates, but different. He needed a good time... The hatching, perhaps.
It was perhaps beyond his intention that he looked so thoughtful as he watched the candidates below, against his normal grain.

S'var 3
"At first, certainly," S'var agreed, his gaze lingering on a young man who had just touched the clutch's largest egg, the best hope for a gold. "I expect this clutch will be moved to Fort once they're old enough but ut in time they," he nodded at the eggs as he continued, "they and others, their offspring, will begin to fill the northern Weyrs once more. Julith's legacy will be a great one, just as Malsalth's is becoming." There was of course the fact that some of the dragons born from the green clutches had been unusual to say the least, strangely coloured patterns and overgrown teeth, but so long as they were healthy he wasn't going to quibble over that.
