A sun-kissed creature, C'ran grew up on a farm in the Southern lowlands that grew berries flourishing in the shallow waters. He had never much dreamed the life of a rider, but it found him, and then two creatures entered his life, his dragon Tefelath and his now-weyrmate Leiya, both of them so beautiful, no landscape could possibly compare, and at roughly the same time.

C'ran can be impatient, but is not unaccustomed to situations that may be uncomfortable. It was this imperviousness to discomfort that drove him to join the northing party, and take both of his beauties with him. His hope is that he can, bare minimum, help keep one of the weyrs up north from falling into ruin while the poor fools left behind try to rebuild enough to cover the continent. He'd like to hope things don't go sharding on him or either of his lovely little rainbows, but... Shells if he isn't gonna try!

Dimeti seems to have multiple personalities. Sometimes smooth as silk, he can try to talk you out of your thickest winter coat in winter. A wizard with words, it's not unusual for him to pay compliments in droves while stealing your meatroll from the plate in front of you. Many hate him for this, and can see it coming. He seems to think he's about the hottest thing you can get without thread and dragonfire, and perhaps past experiences haven't helped dissuade him from this belief.

As can be expected, the only rider he never seems to tire of is his own.

Appearance: This youth bears eyes of a surprisingly pale blue, narrowed as they might be. Dark, coal-black hair tops his head, usually pulled back in a high ponytail poof. His clothes are usually pristinely dusted and layered and fitted with a tailor's hand. He likes to dress a little older than his age and rarely scuffs his clothes. When that does happen, he is careful to have them mended before he wears them again.

Personality: Cartoun is perfectly used to things being in their place when they're supposed to be. It is unusual for him not to have things a certain way, just as much as it is for him not to get his way. Many of his Nannies caved to his desires easily at home, and he is always frustrated when he cannot will a dragon to choose him as his own. With much competition between his brothers and he for the hold he lives at, he hopes for a different life.

Despite his upbringing, however, he's not holding out for a bronze or a brown, as more ambitious types might. No, this boy wants something a little closer to his own size if he can arrange it. A white, would actually suit his needs perfectly. Yes... Something that can more easily stay on the ground with him. Something that won't succumb to needless and overexuberant shows in the air and death-defying falls. Something calm and intelligent and reflectve. (Has anyone told this kid that most dragons are at least a little of all...most all of that?)

History: Even as young as he is, this young holdbrat has had many adventures. One of the lesser-watched of his siblings due to his independence, Cartoun has spent much time wandering caverns, halls, and various other buildings in various states of repair. He sees all the little things that need work in his domain and all the repairs that must be done. As he knows he cannot do them himself, he logs them on a parchment he turns into the maintenance staff anytime he can. Unfortunately, his writing is chicken scratch and some of them can't read, so very few things ever got fixed.

Aware that his dream as a dragonrider may be a pipe dream, when he's not been invited to a hatching to sit in, he will lean heavily on a swords instructor for lessons. He's advanced, for a 13-year-old, but can't match up with those who have more experience, and wth the possibility that he may not ever be a rider, his alternate goal is to be the best damn swordsman in the North.

Hatchling Appearance: Montezumalth does not stand out for build nor many of their limb aesthetics -- actually, Montezumalth is quite plain for a dragon in that aspect. However what this dragon compensates with is their eyes. Montezumalth has expressive eyes that communicate her emotions far more vividly than most dragons -- her eyes are strikingly attractive and draw the eye. These good looks however seem to come with a slight drawback, Montezumalth is rather sensitive to bright light and often suffers from headaches if she spends a lot of time under a glaring sun -- consequently this dragon is fond of cloudy days and nighttime.

Personality: Montezumalth has a strong, commanding presence that demands respect, and she knows it. Montezumalth has a commanding manner at all times and seems quite skilled at maintaining attention, and, surprisingly, makes an effective leader. Although gruff in asking others perform tasks, despite color differences, they are not unkind or inconsiderate of others and works well with them -- believing only as many can they all survive. Montezumalth is quick to change gears and ask others if someone cannot perform, and will give the benefit of the doubt to those who refuse without complaint.

Montezumalth is the patient sort, whom dearly cares not only for her rider, but for other riders and, surprisingly, candidates, both in the Weyr and whom are yet to be properly Searched, seeming innately aware of good candidates from bad... And she is fierce and quick to protect them with her very life is it is asked of her. To those Montezumalth claims under her protection, she is nothing but gentle, tame as a kitten, but to threats, they are as death itself.

Sadly, Montezyumalth is a proud dragon, whom demands the best for herself and all she considers ‘hers’, disliking lesser things with a passion. This pride often makes her unable to see when she does ill to another, and when it is pointed out and the dragon realizes, she is often plagued with guilt and sorrow for what pride hath wrought until all is well, and pride returns. Montezumalth is especially proud of her appearance, believing herself THE HANDSOMEST dragon, and Cartoun THE PRETTIEST RIDER.

Montezumalth is also quite prone to superstition, often claiming to believe in luck, fate, and destiny, and doesn't quite believe that she controls it. Everything is commanded by a higher power, from who her rider is to how they hunt, and it is incredibly difficult to convince her when a higher power might, say, ask of her to do the smart thing and MOVE already, however it is possible with a little creativity.


Mind Voice: (#008B00) Montezumalth has a sweet voice demanding respect and brimming with confidence. Although it is expressive, she rarely becomes agitated or afraid or changes pitch, even, however, Montezumalth can certainly whine like a champion..

Why me? For Montezyumalth only a rider as strong and self-assured as she could possibly have sufficed. Cartoun’s eye for detail, over the top though it may sometimes be, appealed to her and so too did his intelligence and persistence. For her part Montezumalth brings drive and focus to the table, she has her own ambitions and she believes that Cartoun can aid her in rising to the place she believes she belongs in the Weyr’s hierarchy - unlike his nannies she will not easily cave to his demands, she respects him as an equal partner and expects the same in return.

Inspiration: Montezumalth is Mjolnir. Enjoy the power of Thor! Chocolate Chip cookies are an iconic cookie, or biscuit, made with a dough laden with chocolate chips, and is popularly paired with milk. Chocolate Chip Cookies can be soft, chewy, or even crispy and are a versitile cookie, even making a delicious dough, although one can get ill from the flour and raw egg in it -- most don't care. Montezumalth is named for Montezuma, the last major Aztec king, whom is known for sipping unsweetened chocolate, sometimes with chilis in it, and for introducing cocoa to the Europeans.
