Physical Description: Fi'don stands at 6'1 and has the body of a young man who has worked in a Weyr all his life. He's not overly muscled but is definitely fit and his trim frame speaks to an entire life of running around with heavy buckets, doing physical labor, and taking care of a dragon for nine years. His pale green eyes are friendly and honest, and it doesn't take long for a stranger to work out his emotions based off how expressive his entire face is. Fi'don's messy mop of curly strawberry blonde hair is all the more interesting thanks to the shock of white that dominates his forelock. His skin is quite fair and he burns easily under the sun unless he's got proper clothing on. He tends to wear a hat when working outside for long periods of time, but during training sessions with his wing he often ends up with a sunburn on any bit of skin that's exposed. For that reason he favors long sleeved tops and pants that are made of light material and colors during the summer months so he's not sweating to death under the layers.
Personality: On first meeting Fi'don one might say he blends into the crowd. He's not terribly concerned with the limelight, he does his work, keeps his head down and remains focused on whatever task he's doing. He's not an introvert but certainly doesn't go out of his way to interact with people. If someone does approach him he's incredibly friendly and will chat with them until they are ready to move on. He considers himself a loner, content to do his job and retire to his Weyr to read or focus on side projects. Fi'don loves puzzles of all sorts, whether they're physical or mental, and he enjoys creating little wooden and rope mind-bogglers in any spare time he has.

One way to know when Fi'don is completely engrossed in something is if he's singing. He has been told countless times that if he hadn't been a dragon rider, any Harper would have been glad to snatch him up as an Apprentice. He is very humble with his talent and won't go out of his way to perform but if someone asks he's always happy to oblige. He's not professionally trained and is content to keep it as a hobby, more than comfortable with his lot in life. Fi'don is definitely a homebody and doesn't care for travel even if he has the convenience of Simariath to hop from place to place. He likes what he knows and is nervous when new things are presented to him. Failure is one of his biggest fears, thus the dislike of new things or situations. Familiar is safe. New is dangerous.

Underlying all of these things is Fi'don's genuine delight in making others smile. Although he keeps to himself he does enjoy company and being part of a group, of something bigger than himself. He fits in well with his wing and his fellow riders and enjoys helping out the Candidates when he can, knowing that they could be riding with him one day. He may not be the one that comes to mind when others think of a brave rider or a strong leader, but that doesn't bother him at all. He'd rather be the friend in the shadows helping others succeed while taking none of the credit.

Fi'don's face is incredibly expressive and it certainly doesn't help that his emotions are simmering just below the surface at all times. While generally happy, his empathetic nature lends to his quick mood swings. If someone is sad, he's sad with them. If they're delighted, so is he. Even the most oblivious people can read Fi'don like an open book and while he has come to accept the fact that he can't hide his emotions, it's not a trait he's particularly fond of.

Due to an accident in his youth, Fi'don freezes up whenever he's near the ocean. If he can see the water or hear the waves memories from his near death experience take hold, often times crippling him to the point of hyperventilation and blacking out. Since Impressing Simariath he's been better about his trauma since she is able to help him mentally get through the fear. It is not often that they find themselves fighting Thread over the sea, but when it does happen Simariath takes care that Fi'don doesn't get distracted, otherwise they return to the Weyr.

History: Fiechordon was born at Western Weyr into a little family of four: his mother, his father, and one older sister. Both of his parents were dragon riders and he grew up enjoying rides from their blue dragons along with his sister. Fiechordon was always a quiet child, the perfect counterpoint to his sister's boisterous attitude. She certainly ran the show and he followed along without question, doing whatever she asked happily. It was this blind trust in his sister that led to his near death experience when he was five. He had followed her onto a pier that stretched out into the sea, and a misstep had sent him plunging into the water below. Thankfully a few dragons and their riders were out swimming in the water and heard his sister's cries for help and they managed to pull him out before irreversible damage had been done. Fiechordon spent the next few days in the healer's ward to make sure he wasn't going to suffer any ill-affects from breathing in water, but it seemed the only scar he'd carry with him was a fear of the sea.

Two years later, thankfully, his parents applied for a transfer to High Reaches that was accepted, and the small family packed up their bags and headed for the mountainous Weyr. Fiechordon was glad to be away from the sea and came out of his shell a bit more in his new environment despite the much less laid-back air to the place. His sister disliked High Reaches and complained often about the cold winters, but Fiechordon thrived in the mountains and the more ridged systems they had in place. When she became of age, Fiechordon watched his sister join the ranks of the Candidates, eager to join her two years later. They stood at several hatchings together before she Impressed to a lovely green dragon, and a Turn later it was his turn to Impress as well. A sweet, loving green had hatched first among the clutch and was the last to Impress. She had taken her sweet time in meeting each and every one of the Candidates personally, nuzzling their leg before moving on or bumping their hands for pats. Finally, though, once all her siblings had found Theirs, she finally picked Fiechordon as hers. It was a great relief to have a dragon and he was so excited to share in the joy with his sister.

Together Fiechordon - now Fi'don - and his sister and their greens trained and flew together, but after five years the two sadly split ways. Fi'don had known it was only a matter of time before she would head back to Western and once her contract with High Reaches was up, he and Simariath bid the duo farewell. They had made enough friends with her help that he wasn't alone, but it was strange not to have her by his side.

Two years ago Thread returned, and with it came heavy responsibility. Fi'don was glad for the challenge and fights hard with every Threadfall, following in his parents footsteps with pride. The destruction Thread causes is incredibly painful to him even if he doesn't personally know anyone affected by the age-old menace, but he can feel the pain of those that have lost loved ones and will do whatever he can to protect those that remain.

Physical Description: Simariath is fairly average in terms of build for a green. She's not overly long or short, has a reasonable wingspan, and isn't over or under weight. Her most distinguishing feature would be her headknobs which are quite slim and are very sensitive to the touch.
Personality: Simariath is a hopeless romantic and isn't afraid to show it. She flirts very sincerely with any dragon to cross her path from the smallest white to the largest gold and everyone in between, even if they have no interest in greens. Her hearts are hard to keep but when she does find someone to settle down with, they will have to be understanding that she will still give her love to anyone who wishes for it. That being said, Simariath is fiercely protective of those she loves. Fi'don always has her hearts due to their bond, and whichever dragon has captured her interest on some level will receive as much devotion and protection as she can manage. While Simariath is open with her love, she is very jealous of anyone stepping on 'her' territory. Any suitors for Fi'don will have to get past her first and any dragon encroaching on her chosen ledgemate will get a feisty green clawing at their hides. When she is not tied to one dragon she is much calmer and loves to rise to both chase and be chased.
