Shyloh's upbringing is a little different than the average troll. Because of his relatively forced seclusion, he's grown up with a wide array of survival skills at the cost of a pitiful ability to socialize. In fact, most of his contact with other trolls to this point has been primarily with hunters, the occasional other (often unfriendly) forest dweller, or miscellaneous highbloods from the local Four Fronds. His lusus does understand the importance of socialization, but Shyloh's age and unpredictability had largely forced her to keep him under a tight watch where she knew he could be protected. Now that he's a little older, she trusts him with exploring alongside the sprouts and venturing out to try and build some healthy rapport with other individuals.
It is because of his new found freedom that Shyloh has found one of the first loves of his life: exploring. The world is extremely expansive to him and the idea of uncovering the secrets it holds excites him. His seclusion has made for a fairly boring childhood, and as such he has a very vast imagination. It's not uncommon for him to make his excursions more "exciting" by letting his thoughts run wild in the process. His hive is filled with many "treasures" that he's accumulated over time, though these range from cool shaped sticks to random trinkets he's picked off of the many dead criminals littered around the forest. Speaking of which, Shyloh has a rose-tinted lens on the hunts in general, with the hunters being really cool bringers of FINAL JUSTICE to the unworthy criminal scum. Aside from admiring hunters from afar though, he typically stays clear out of their way.
While this is in part due to the obvious dangers present with accidentally interfering, most of it is because Shyloh is actually just a very shy boy. Shyloh very much wishes to have friendships and meet other trolls, but his lack of social skills leaves him very anxious and can cause him to make reckless, stupid decisions. Any time he feels like he's under pressure he has to fight his tendency to lash out and panic. Shyloh is very self conscious and hard on himself as a result! Shyloh tends to throw himself into vicious, self destructive cycles of guilt and frustration whenever he feels like he messes up an interaction that could lead to a potential friend, or worse: ruined an already existing friendship. Every mistake has a tendency to feel like the end of the world as he knows it. Shyloh attempts to be constructive with these emotions, but he lacks the mental and emotional maturity to really be successful at it, so when the guilt phase is over and done with, he usually tries to focus hard on the "making amends" stage. Shyloh can be very generous with trolls that he feels like he's slighted (even if he didn't and it's completely made up in his head), which often results in a lot of gift giving and messy apologies. Shyloh's preferred method is "I'm sorry" cards, followed by lots and lots of flower crowns.
Speaking of, Shyloh really loves plants. He thinks they're wonderful, and by proxy of his guardians being plant-like in nature, he tends to consider them his "first friends". Shyloh is very kind and respectful of plant life, even going out of his way to tend his own gardens around his hive and plant new saplings whenever he can. He has a strange habit when it comes to the latter; sweeps of growing up watching the sprouts bury dead organisms into Momosa's shell for sustenance has caused Shyloh to adopting a peculiar habit; Whenever Shyloh comes across something dead, whether it be a troll, animal, etc, he immediately takes advantage of it by burying it to use as fertilizer. Afterwards, he makes small gardens over top out of ferns, flowers, or sometimes baby saplings. Because of this "recycling of life", Shyloh doesn't believe things necessarily "die", rather they just "become life" for something else. He hopes that one day he can grow up to become a great big tree himself!
As far as Shyloh's other hobbies go, he also enjoys drawing, and he has many coloring books, cheap paint sets, sketchbooks, etc scattered around his hive as a result. These are all fairly worn and well used, as he only ever gets new supplies whenever the sprouts can procure them for him. While most of his lofty artistic pursuits lay primarily in drawing, he does like to make scrapbook-esque collages with pressed flowers and other vegetation he finds. His most prized example of this is a work in progress field guide he's been making of all the local flora in Four Fronds! Shyloh also enjoys roughhousing because it's a good source to alleviate his aggression, and FLARP is something he's always considered fun and wanted to try thanks to his wild imagination. When he isn't busy with any of his hobbies, he's usually engaging in what is essentially "tutor time" with his lusus. Momosa herself is very old and Shyloh definitely isn't her first time raising a troll, so she has come to formulate a scheduled method of school-feeding her charges basic life skills, such as reading comprehension, math, etc. Shyloh likes to learn new things, but he isn't fond of reading, as he's dyslexic and has difficulties with his vision. Momosa hasn't quite caught on because her own vision is pretty bad herself. Still, Shyloh at least has most basic skills despite growing up in seclusion.
One thing (and perhaps the only thing) that Shyloh has a very firm grasp on in regards to society is the hemospectrum. Momosa has taught him to treat every caste with respect, and that the caste system exists to keep society harmoniously balanced. She often uses the criminals in the hunts as examples to Shyloh to remind him to respect the law. Shyloh doesn't have many questions about the way it works as a result, and just accepts it for what it is. Still, he doesn't abuse his position as a tealblood to be a jerk to lowbloods. He regards members of his caste and lower with relative ambivalence to their blood and more weight on their actions as an individual. Conversely, he's very trusting of highbloods because of their natural role in society as leaders. At the end of the night though, he's still just as anxious to meet anyone for the first time, regardless of caste.

XX◦◦ ⤿ Despite his overwhelming shyness, Shyloh really is one hell of a go-getter. He does want to learn as much as he can about the world and the trolls that inhabit it, and it's easy to get him excited to do things! His willingness to try new things usually wins out over his anxiety. Even if he needs to take a step back to get himself under control, he'll usually be ready to go whenever he's warmed up!

XX◦◦ ⤿ Shyloh has a variety of hobbies, and because he hasn't had much else to occupy his early sweeps, Shyloh has ended up being very dedicated to his crafts. He takes all of his creative pursuits very seriously and works hard to put his heart into anything he chooses to expend energy on. This is a very defining mentality for him, as Shyloh not only dedicates himself to his work, but to the individuals he surrounds himself with as well. That being said...

XX◦◦ ⤿ Shyloh, at his core, is a very loyal individual once you've earned his trust. He greatly values all of his friends (or the trolls that "put up" with him) and is more than willing to stop what he's doing to help out whenever he's needed. Shyloh knows and understands that he's not a perfect individual, so he tries his best to help out all the trolls he cares about in any way he can! Their happiness is very important to him.

XX◦◦ ⤿ Shyloh is hilariously shy, and he's very bad at dealing with it. Growing up in relative seclusion has left him woefully un-socialized, so coming in contact with other trolls has a tendency to put him on edge if not set him off entirely. This is a large sort of stress in his life as he's genuinely a lonely kid who really just wants to make friends, but really doesn't know how.

XX◦◦ ⤿ When it comes down to fight or flight reflexes, Shyloh almost always tips towards fight. This is because Shyloh is a very reactive individual who hasn't exactly learned the gift of foresight yet. When he feels an emotion he typically will act on it immediately and as such it can be very difficult to get him to slow down. Thankfully, Shyloh does try learn from his mistakes and makes an effort to keep from making the same one twice. Given outside variables and his unpredictable anxiety however, he is still unfortunately prone to slipping up despite knowing better. These shortcomings make Shyloh very frustrated with himself!

XX◦◦ ⤿ Shyloh doesn't know much about the world outside of the forest, so aside from some general basics, he has a tendency to believe in whatever's being fed to him, especially by older trolls and highbloods. I mean, they would know, right? However, Shyloh doesn't take well to being bamboozled, so if he finds out you've wronged him, it'll probably take a while to build his trust back up.

Shyloh's lusus is a bit unusual, as rather than being one solid thing Momosa is instead a large network of symbiotic relationships. Individually, Momosa is a massive tortoise like creature that can easily dwarf a small building. Because of her gargantuan size, she lacks a great deal of mobility and expends tremendous amounts of energy even attempting to do so. That being said, Momosa does preform a great migration where she moves herself around the forest to find new places to root. This is mostly to track locations with the best sunlight as the seasons shift, but also to till up new soil for nutrients and to let her previously occupied spots recharge.
Since she isn't able to move well, Momosa has to rely on outside help to really get all the nourishment she needs. Momosa's shell is home to a very particular type of soil that just so happens to have the perfect requirements for housing another species of creatures. A large colony of what Shyloh refers to as 'the sprouts' use Momosa as a refuge to thrive in. In return, they assist with tilling her back, planting new things, recycling old growth, and accompanying Shyloh to places where Momosa can't. Alone, a single Sprout is very weak and unassuming. Their strength comes in numbers, and a swarm of them can be a very formidable threat. New ones continuously grow from Momosa's back to replenish the swarm whenever numbers dwindle.
As much as Shyloh loves the Sprouts, they're very simple minded. Because of this, Shyloh has a tendency to view individual sprouts as replaceable, because they all share the same mental hivemind and are all essentially clones of one another. Shyloh's main bond is with Momosa herself, who serves as a beacon of wisdom and a teacher for her charge. They both have a fantastic relationship with one another, as Shyloh adores his mom above all else.
