Player Custom-In Hatchlings!

That's right! For this double-clutch we are going to open things up and allow players to try out for custom baby dragons! These dragons will still be designed entirely by the colorists, but the theme, personality, and why me are all written by you.

Winners will not be announced, but instead, their babies will make an appearance in the Hatching and Impress to their character!

Please note: Cheri and Uta like to write surprise dragons that even staff do not know about. There is a good possibility that some themes you choose as a player to write have already been written/used for non-custom dragons. Do not get upset if the theme you chose makes an appearance and goes to someone else. We've had these themes in mind for ages now, but like to keep secrets. We promise we didn't steal your idea.

Additionally, why we usually like themes to be unique, there is the possibility for twins -- in which case we love the idea enough we decide to throw in two from the same egg (similar to Macuith & Xochith) or we will allow Disney songs to have songs from the same movie. This will give you guys some flexibility in themes.

The Rules

The Rules

1. We don't currently know how many "winners" there will be. There will likely be at least 2, one from each clutch, but after that we just can't say.
   
2. You may enter up to 2 entries. One for the Harry Potter Clutch and one for the Disney Clutch.
   
3. You could win two custom-ins, provided they were written for different Candidates. You could win one custom-in. You could not win a custom-in. You could also win a pre-written dragon already in the Hatching, or two pre-written dragons, or Impress to no dragons at all. Nothing is guaranteed!
   
4. Entering for custom-ins does not disqualify you from Impressing a pre-written one in the actual Hatching.
   
5. There is a possibility that the Candidate you write for the custom-in already has been matched with another prewritten dragon! You don't know what we' have in mind! Don't be disappointed if your Candidate Impresses to a different dragon or a different color! Don't get attached to these custom-ins!
   
6. There is a possibility that the theme you choose has already been used for a surprise egg! Not every hatching in the clutch is listed right now, as we like our surprise eggs. Just be aware.
   
7. If you write two custom-ins for the same Candidate, if you win, your Candidate will only Impress to one or the other.
   
8. Golds and whites are not permitted.
   
9. You do not get to design what the dragon looks like. That will be a surprise designed by our colorists and revealed during the Hatching.
   
10. Please keep in mind that all dragons have empathy! So even if you make a mean or cruel dragon, they cannot be completely incorrigible, and cannot be purely evil or overly vicious. You will be disqualified, or at least not win, if the hatchling doesn't fit!
    
11. These are free, as all Hatchlings are in EoP.
    
12. Drama will NOT be tolerated! If this experience turns into angst, either public or private, and causes more trouble and hurt feelings than joy, then we just won't do it again. So please, if you can't handle possibly not winning or not getting picked, then don't participate. This is a trial run and we just won't do it again if we find out or get dragged into drama over it. This is meant to be fun and offer opportunities to you guys! It's not meant to hurt or punish anybody. There will ALWYAS be more Hatchings.

Disney Clutch Specific Rules

1. All custom-ins must be based on Disney Songs!
   
2. DO NOT make cosplay characters. Obviously, a dragonet could be inspired by the hero or villain singing the song, but these are NOT cosplays and should still be their own character at the end of the day.
   
3. DO NOT base Hatchlings off Songs already listed!
   
4. While we prefer you choose different Disney Films that haven't been used, we understand that there may be some duplicates due to Surprise Eggs. I would suggest looking for Disney Songs that might be less well-known if you want to avoid possible duplicate or shared themes.
   
5. It is possible we might share themes and have twins or triplets. If you are uncomfortable with that, then I would choose a more obscure or less popular Disney song.
   
6. Again, don't get attached to a concept or idea. Your Candidate could already be matched with a dragon of a different theme or color.
   
7. If you do not win, you may hang onto the theme in case we have future custom-ins post-graduation. That said, these themes CANNOT be used for quests or future dragons. You would need to rework it and nyx the theme if you wanted the personality for a quest or adult dragon.
   
8. Just because you enter doesn't guarantee you will Impress anything! Not everybody is going to walk away with a dragon, even when we have so many!
   
9. Remember, this clutch will know Fianth as a doting and very affectionate mother and blue Krahsujunth as their father. They will have an Uncle Rixth who is obviously their biological father, but thus far he is unaffiliated with High Reaches. Obviously, things could change down the road, but this is where we're at. :3
   
10. Rhianth is Fianth's younger sister, so the Harry Potter clutch is technically their clutch cousins.
    

Harry Potter Clutch Specific Rules

1. All custom-ins must be based on Harry Potter!
   
2. DO NOT make cosplay characters. A dragonet could be inspired by the hero or villain who used the spell, but these are NOT cosplays and should still be their own character at the end of the day.
   
3. Do NOT make themes based off specific Harry Potter Characters. Instead, we ask you use more general HP themes, such as spells, and HP specific creatures.
   
4. We would highly suggest and prefer you avoid making any based on some of the creatures in HP. Why? ....Well. There are more Hatchings and we don't want to spoil anything but... We probably have a future Hatching planned that uses those themes. So sticking to spells, potions, courses, locations, and Wizarding World specific themes is likely more ideal. If you were to match a theme we already have planned to use, you risk not winning.
   
5. DO NOT base Hatchlings off Spells and Themes already listed!
   
6. Understand that there may be some duplicates due to Surprise Eggs.
   
7. It is possible we might share themes and have twins or triplets. If you are uncomfortable with that, then I would choose a more obscure or less popular Harry Potter theme.

Kronoseth is her arm candy. They will not likely stay long at the Weyr, but will be frequent visitors. This could, of course, all change, but is where we're at currenty.
    
12. Fianth is Rhianth's older sister, so the Disney clutch is technically their clutch cousins.

Custom Forms

Remember that your Candidates MUST already be approved before you make them a dragon! If your Candidate has not been QCd then you will simply need to wait for that to happen before you enter.

These Hatchlings are primarily full-customs. This option means nothing is left as a surprise. You will choose the theme (it must match the clutch theme), the name (it must be inspired by the theme in some fashion), the color of the dragon though not its design, the personality, the physical description (again, not an actual design but more like its size and notes about its physical appearance), and the Why Me? portion.

No golds or whites allowed. Bronzes and possibly browns will be limited. Greens and blues are unlimited. This isn't to say you can't try for a bronze or a brown, but know that we can't let every player win on only those colors.

Origin of Name: Adalissimalyth- or Malyth, for short- is a Frankenstein-syllable assembly inspired by the name of one of the characters from The Aristocats: Abraham de Lacy Giuseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley. The ridiculous length of the name is intended to reflect Thomas’ own rather long and unusual calling.

Inspiration: Though inspired by the catchy jazz song ‘Everybody Wants to be a Cat’, as featured in The Aristocats, Adalissimalyth has only a loose connection to the characters in the movie. The Parisian setting and jazzy feel of the film itself lends itself well as a basis for this soft, kind-hearted, carefree troubadour-come-vagabond. There are hints of O’Malley in his charming ways, and his devotion to family stems from Duchess and Madam’s love for their nearest and dearest. The kittens Toulouse, Marie and Berlioz lend their playful joie-de-vivre as well as a loving inter-sibling rivalry.

Adalissimalyth is inspired by the whole cast of colourful characters in this movie. Who wouldn’t want to be a cat? And a cat-like dragon- well, that just sounds even more amazing...

Personality:
It begins with a cool, relaxed, ‘oh my dear, would you care to join me in this lovely patch of sunshine,’ which is then followed with bright-eyed interest in his latest victim conversation-companion. A smooth-talker through-and-through, there’s very little Adalissimalyth could achieve or acquire when he puts his mind to it. Charming and roguish, he initially presents as a suave, passionate and impatient creature whose own needs are the most important thing in the world- but yours are a close second, don’t you worry. He’ll have you right and ready to shine in no time at all, just after this little… catnap… over here…

Ah, yes, right. Duties. Malyth has a questionably strong work ethic, this is true. He is a stubborn, headstrong dragon, surprisingly set in his ways once he’s figured out how life works (and naturally, he wants to make life work in his favour). He won’t necessarily excel at drills, because repetitive routine is rather boring in his esteemed opinion, but given the right incentive he’ll flourish as a charismatic leader. He is devoted to whatever cause tickles his fancy, and surprisingly attached to those he calls siblings, parents and wingmates. Bold, daring, and somewhat overly-confident, Malyth is secretly prepared to risk his life to save others. He is entirely too thoughtless about personal costs, and reckless with his safety. Psh. Bad things happen to other people, not cool dragons like him, okay?

Despite his propensity for being a huge sweet-talker and a giant flirt, Malyth is a gentle and kindly romantic, ready to sweep his next love interest off their feet. Courting and serenading a gentle heart is one of life’s greatest pleasures, at least to him, and he takes great care in doing it well and proper. One of his innermost desires is to someday find a mate and have a large home of which he might be proud. As a consequence, he can be possessive and materialistic, often hoarding his and his rider’s possessions, as well as taking the unguarded belongings of others. Look- if it’s just lying around, unloved… well, it’ll have a better home with him. No doubt about it.

A wellspring of sunny optimism and delightful joie-de-vivre, very little brings Adalissimalyth down. Even in times of crises, he proves himself a quick and adaptable thinker, often surprising those around him with how ready he is to direct and guide those who depend on him. He might seem wilfully independent and morally-flexible- to the point of reprehensible selfishness- but this facade is purely for appearance’s sake (coolness can be measured, after all). Despite this, his loyalty to his peers and loved ones knows no bounds, and he’ll serve them right to the end- even if he’ll mock-complain loudly about it along the way.

Mercurial and showy, he likes to take part in aerial or acrobatic demonstrations that put him in a good light. He is, afterall, a very great dragon; therefore it only makes sense that people appreciate him and compliment him frequently. His rousing theatrics can become tiresome- especially to those who are not amused by his penchant for silly games, for Malyth seems to possess unlimited energy that may remind some of the local frolicking weyrbrats. Nobody is spared from his playful banter or physical affections: personal bubbles aren’t a thing in his vocabulary, and it’ll take a decisively warning tone to stop him from approaching even the most surly of dragons.

Adalissimalyth has a deep fear of large pools of water, which is at odds with his need to be fastidiously clean. Lakes and seas scare him to no end, and he will never be comfortable swimming despite the necessity of baths. He tries to play it cool- but if anybody remarks on this failing of his, he will become very quiet and withdrawn from conversation. He can’t fathom why water is so terrifying… it just… is... What if there are monsters lurking down there? Or somehow he drowns? Or he falls and falls and he can’t fly anymore? Eurgh. Water is the worst.

This dragon harbours a great fondness for music and Gathers, and especially loves Harpers. He does his best to memorise and sing songs- but unfortunately, draconic memory being what it is, he often reinvents the lyrics and melodies as needed. This doesn’t phase him in the slightest: his blossoming love for music blinds him to his own off-key crooning and non-sensicial serenading. Will he try to sing during Flights? Yes. Will it be good? Ah, well… Someone out there is bound to appreciate his effort. Probably.

- Devoted and loyal to his loved ones

- Showy and exuberant
- Selfish unless the situation suits him
- Mostly a giant narcissist, egocentric

Adult Size: 44’
Physical Attributes:
A long-limbed, wiry bronze with a surprising amount of agility beneath shimmering hide and rippling muscle. He has a true predator’s build, sleek and streamlined: if it weren’t for the fact that he is a dragon, he might have made a good guard-feline, or possibly a runner for shows or races… His tapered muzzle and long headknobs lends him an almost feminine air, whilst a long tail serves to mark his mood with its habitual flicking to and fro.

Though he ranges more on the larger side of the scale for one of his colour, he does not have as much stamina as other bronzes. However, what he lacks in endurance he makes up for in sheer willpower and bullish stupidity. He is prone to over-exerting himself- especially if his desire to compete is roused by others. No, he won’t stop flying just because his wings are burning, thank you very much.

Additional Notes:
His name might officilly be Adalissimalyth, but very few call him that. Malyth answers to Malyth primarily, mostly because Adalissimalyth is a mental-mouthful, and some (including Ruunan) might struggle to remember it in its entirety. Personally he doesn’t mind two jots about his name- Malyth sounds good, and Adalissimalyth is interesting, right? Of course.

Malyth has an unfortunate habit of wanting to trip people with his tail. It’s funny when they fall, okay?

Why Me? Ruunan needs a dragon who will involve him in things- whether he likes it or not. Malyth has a lot of energy and drive, which Ruunan lacks, as well as a desire to achieve something in his life (the founding of a loving, wonderful family and a home). Ruunan, in turn, brings an even-tempered, methodical patience to Malyth’s overblown enthusiasm, rounding out the dragon.

On a story-development level, I personally would love to see how Ruunan adjusts to becoming a bronzerider, like his father. If he were placed in a position of responsibility in the future, it might help catalyse character change or growth and ground him a little more. There is also the ‘living up to father’s expectations’ and ‘moving out from his shadow’ that are storylines beckoning to be explored further.

I actually would prefer to have one of my candidates with a pre-written dragon as I LOVE the surprise and figuring out how to play a new baby but this boy jumped in my head and wouldn't leave so I have to write him down at least. XD

Origin of Name:
Slaketh's name comes from a mashing together of Menken and Slater as a nod to the songs creators. Alan Manken and Glenn Slater

Inspiration: ."I've Got a Dream" is a song written by composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn Slater from Disney's 2010 animated feature film, Tangled. About a group of misunderstood thugs that dream of better lives for themselves. Showing you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.

Personality: Even from inside the egg Slaketh started to pick up on the fact that the world outside was a harsh place. His parents were judged just for being together and producing him. Every candidate that laid their hand on his shell had their own fears an insecurities while also harboring hopes and dreams. But he was in no doubt that to survive and even thrive in the world beyond the hatching sands he would have to be tough.

No one is going to push around Slaketh! He's large aggressive and standoffish with most people that even try and approach him. Neither is he afraid to make his point by spilling blood. In flight's and other instances where he has to prove himself against other dragons he can be down right dangerous. And he never apologizes or shows any remorse for his actions even when they are considered by any right minded people to be over the top.
He is a demanding dragon who states bluntly what he wants and expects. His anger easily sparked when he is denied.
He is not a dragon that easily forgets a grudge and if someone slights him in some way or insults him they better watch their back! Unsurprisingly he has issues with authority and being told what to do making early training a challenge for his rider as he will have to talk Slaketh around to following orders if the bronze doesn't want to follow them or takes a disliking to the one giving them.

But that is only one side of this bronze, the face he shows to the world and his shield. If someone approaches him in the right way he is capable of making a connection and when they do they are often surprised by what they find.
One on one Slaketh can be a very encouraging fellow. If you have a dream or secret desire he will always prompt and nudge them toward it with a gentle claw. He's even willing to help if he can. His advice is solid and good natured, born from a wisdom that accompanies his unique out look on life matched with unflagging enthusiasm.

Plus once he decides he likes someone and ushers them into his inner circle he is fiercely loyal and protective meaning they are automatically excemt from his more aggressive tendencies.
Slaketh also quite forgets to be mean and scary when faced with anything small, cute and delicate. He simply melts around baby animals, kids and frilly pink things, bows and sparkles.

His special passion though, are flowers. They are just so beautiful and fragile and oh the colours! And oh the excitement of seeing them blooming in different seasons! And he could start to gush. In fact he is most content sleeping in a meadow filled with wild flowers and will regularly collect blooms with his rider to decorate his ledge. It is also why Slaketh will always be a staunch tried and true weyr dragon. He just hates thread that scorches the earth and destroys all his beautiful blossoms.

His dream is to rid the skies of thread for good once more so he can scatter his flowers across the northern lands and make them lush with flowers and greenery again.

Positive Traits: Dreamer, Loyal, Encouraging. Committed thread fighter.
Negative Traits: Aggressive. Spiteful. Standoffish. Unapologetic.

Adult Size: 40
Physical Attributes: While Slaketh stands at the average height for a bronze he looks bigger than he is because he is absolutely solid. Well muscled from his toes to his tail's tip he has a hefty bulk to his appearance but none of it is fat.
This means he is defiantly one of slower dragons, especially on the ground but his endurance is unflagging.

Additional Notes: Slaketh loves flights for all the lovely ladies. But in line with his love of cute things, his hearts desire is a small cute green he can shelter under his wing and protect. Snuggle and smooch. The cuter, smaller and more feminine the green the more his heart goes pitter pat. In fact he throws himself more whole heartedly into flights after any desired green with much more enthusiasm than he will when it is a gold flight. (But he won't turn down a pretty gold lady either)
He may also attempt to woo the special green ladies before flights by presenting them with flowers. (Of course)

Why Me? Slaketh needs a rider that can match the face he wants to show the world. Someone that he knows won't be afraid to stand up for themselves or do what needs to be done if they are wronged. He knows Sul can do that and will listen to him when he explains why someone needed a beat down. But most importantly he senses in Sul a dreamers heart to match his own, someone that will throw themselves into fighting thread with just as much vigor and commitment.

Origin of Name: Moira are the greek Fates who control the Thread of Fate. Gods cannot alter that which is ordained by the Fates. Fairy Godmothers are often the deciders of fates.

Inspiration: Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo is sung by the Fairy Godmother who helps Cinderella. The song is mostly nonsensical and yet able to accomplish great acts. Cinderella’s fate is changed in those odd phrases.

The original animated Cinderella left out some of the lines of the song: "If your mind is in a dither, and your heart is in a haze, I'll haze your dither, and dither your haze, with a magic phrase” and "if you're chased around by trouble, and followed by a jinx, I'll jinx your trouble, and trouble your jinx, in less than forty winks."

Personality: Why hello there! You seem very blue, but you are not a dragon, so it might be best to not stay that way. How can Moirath help? Moirath is always ready to help someone in need but be careful for it might not be the help you want. She just wants to make sure your dreams come true.

Her help comes in whatever form she decides is best and while she is clever she doesn’t always pay attention until the end. Actually, even if you don’t want her help, you will get it. Might be better to not argue, and definitely better to not interrupt. Interruptions can derail her and then where will your help be? She might just do more harm than good.

She is rather clever and her ideas usually get the job done even when they seem to make no sense. Have some fun while your at it, Moirath says. All these dour stiff souls need a little help finding the joy inside them. Moirath is willing to lend you some of hers while she helps find yours.

Distractible is a nice way of putting Moirath. Her rider will need to often guide her back to the course at hand. Her mind is also often going faster than her speech or actions and things will get lost along the way. Moirath will rely on her rider to help fill in the gaps because she is not going back for those lost bits.

I humbly submit that this particular concept will really only work for bronze as far as the plot points I would play out with it relating to Le’x and Kratoth. I am fully aware this is a huge limitation on my chances and am 100% okay with not being picked if the color isn’t available! I would rather try for something I felt inspired by rather than something I’d make up just to make something up. I’d love to hear your suggestions if there’s an interesting tweak that might work for another color, though! In any case, a prewritten match of any color is preferred if one exists!

Origin of Name: Taken from the Czech translation for “two kings,” the name is loosely based on Durmstrang’s coat of arms, which depicts a two-headed eagle. It also represents the dragon’s feelings on who he and his rider are—two kings of one mind.

Inspiration: Dvakraloth is inspired by the Durmstrang Institute, the northern wizarding school in the Harry Potter universe. Durmstrang is, at least in the films, depicted as a more military-esque school, run by an ex-Deatheater and prominently featuring the Dark Arts in its curriculum. The school is exclusive on who is permitted to attend—muggle-born are not allowed at all, and, though it was established by a woman, females appear to be either not allowed or have very limited enrollment.

Personality: If anyone was meant for greatness, it is Dvakraloth. He is strong. He is brave. He is motivated. He comes from a pure line of stalwart dragons, proudly unashamed of his brown father Kronoseth. This bronze will not have the opportunity to freely seek his own way of life as his parents did, but he was born into a Weyr where every opportunity lays open to a male of his color. Though he means to make thorough use of this advantage, he puts little stock in ranks as determined by a dragon’s skin.

Dvakraloth is not a metallic supremacist, but he is, however, unapologetically sexist. He finds that a green’s inability to clutch makes flying her a trifling waste of time, but also that a gold’s ability to do what a green cannot does not make her worth much more. He has great respect for his mother Rhianth, who carved a life for herself on the outside where she is not worshiped just for the sheen of her hide and not stifled into being little more than a glorified brood mother. He believes every dragon should be weighed by their actions and achievements, not by something arbitrary, such as their own biology, that they had no part in.

That’s why he is moved to step out on his own, to take what should be his with as much vim and vigor as is necessary. His bold style is both a boon and a barrier at times, letting him break down walls weaker-willed dragons cannot, but in the process alienating some people who would be worth so much more as friends than as enemies. But the top, as they say, is a lonely place.

Physical Attributes: Dvakraloth inherited his mother’s massive, broad-winged build, his body a looming bulk that all but eclipses some of his smaller siblings. He is neither overly muscular nor slender, his form balanced and athletic. His most notable feature aside from his sheer size is that his chin is longer than average and comes to a point with a small forward curl, bringing to mind the look of a goatee on a human.

Additional Notes: As an adult, he will rarely chase, considering greens not worth the effort. He will only chase golds, though in most cases it is merely for the purpose of duty in passing on his bloodline’s superior genes. From his clutchmates, Dvakraloth seems to prefer the company of [Slytherin Egg]. (If the actual character makes sense once hatched, of course. Mentioned because it was noted that Durmstrang students sat with Slytherin House during meals during the Triwizard tourney because they shared similar outlooks. Feel free to add others that might work, too!)

Why Me? Somebody needs to remind Karone of who he is and where he’s come from. He is no drudge, no nonentity to be condemned to anonymity for the rest of his days. He is a noble, the son of a Lord Holder! Perhaps the time to rule over land is ended, but he is still ruler of himself! Dvakraloth sounds the call to move forward, for Karone to rise up and take his place among the elite—whether it be as a dragonrider, a harper, a swordsman, or anything else he desires to be.

Conversely to Dvakraloth’s ideas of grandeur, the truth is that Karone has been depressed and angry and fruitlessly (if unconsciously) self-entitled for far too long. He’s become a much darker person over the two turns he’s spent at High Reaches, his competitive nature and desire to improve himself stymied by the strict structure of candidacy and a new purpose still undiscovered. Having someone whose very life depends on him could be a cure like no other, and if being faced with some of his own flaws in draconic form, Kar has the potential to see with stark clarity what he actually looks like to other people, and why he hasn’t been able to make very many friends outside of his cousin Le’x. With that understanding, he may learn how to temper both himself, and the sharpest edges of Dvakraloth’s personality.

Origin of Name: Nanuth's name comes from the Inuit word Nanuq (also Nanuk or Nanook are used), which means polar bear. In Inuit religion, Nanook/Nanuq was the deity considered the master of bears, who decided if hunters would be lucky in their pursuits of bears.
Inspiration: In Brother Bear, where the song comes from, they put a great emphasis on the importance of totems for the people. Since Kenai's totem is a bear, it is only fitting that Nanuth's inspired by the bear totem/spirit that is so respected by the Inuit/Native American people in Alaska. The people had a great respect for the polar bears in the region and Kenai turns into a brown bear in the movie. The bear spirit/totem is a beautiful representation of love, strength, courage, being a guardian, and grounding influence.

Personality: Nanuth is a dragon that absorbs a lot of the knowledge around him, making him a very wise dragon. One way this knowledge is gained is by him meditating on what he or his rider did in any given situation. The other way is him watching others and making note of their actions, both things done right and mistakes. Then he formulates ways to build on what he has seen to make it even better or turn a negative into a positive. He has plenty of advice he can give to others, all they have to do is ask. Just like one of those wise men up on the mountaintop, he wants others to work for their answers, he isn't going to just give it to them. Not only that, but like the wise man, he prefers to be by himself most of the time. There are very few people that he allows to break his solitary nature regularly, one of them being his rider. He isn't the greatest at being part of a team, so he may need help on communicating better with others. With some patience, maybe he will be more open to imparting his advice to those who might need it and not keep it to himself.

For those who can get past his solitary walls, people will find Nanuth a loving dragon. He wants the best for people, he just stinks at talking about it to anyone but his rider. To his rider, he will always have the loving words and actions, it is easy with them. This is a dragon who is at least always thinking of ways that he could help others, even if doesn't always voice those thoughts. To those who manage to get him to open up, they will find he can be very protective of them. He will do all he can to keep bad things from happening to those he cares about. He may not be the best at words, but he makes up with it in his actions. Unfortunately, if you rub him the wrong way, this brown will be breathing down your neck. When he gets mad, he get boiling, and it takes a lot to calm him down. One wrong word or action will get this hot tempered dragon fired up. It will take his rider to calm him down and make sure he doesn't cause any trouble.

Along with his love, protection, and wisdom; those close to this brown will find a rock of strength for them to lean against. He will always encourage his chosen few, making them know they can do anything they put their minds to. He is always ready to do whatever needs to be done, no matter how tiring the task may be. He will never back down from any challenge or threat, very few things scare Nanuth. He is a beacon of courage for those who find themselves feeling fearful. This is a dragon who will be more than glad to share his strength and courage to those worthy, especially his rider.

While his courage is something to be admired, it also can lead him to be overconfident. He feels there is nothing he can't do and no one can stop him. That cluster of thread doesn't scare him, he can burn it down without any help from anyone. Of course he can handle that maneuver that everyone else is failing, it is child's play. What do you mean that piece of advice won't work, you are just doing it wrong. In his mind, there is nothing he can't do, all he has to do is put everything he has into it. And he has learned so much, he doesn't need anyone's advice on things..well, except maybe his rider. He doesn't want to admit when maybe he could use some help too. It will take his rider to steer him straight, reminding him that it is okay to ask for assistance. His rider will not think any less of him, but will think he is even more courageous for it.

Unfortunately, this brown can also be very territorial, not wanting people to encroach on places he sees as 'his.' After all, he must have areas where he can go to think and be alone, doesn't he? That ledge is his and that spot of grass was chosen especially by him. Dragons and people can pick somewhere else, he is not going to budge from where he is. This also goes for items and people/dragons/flits that he sees as his, whether they are or not. That bucket of meat is his and don't even think about touching his straps..unless you are his rider. When he finds those he likes, he doesn't like people being near him that he hasn't approved of. It is even worse for his rider, he will give people or dragons so much trouble if they do not get his blessings to spend time with his rider. His rider is going to have to get a handle on that, especially when things and others do not belong to him. With a gentle reminder, he can be reasoned with if he does too far.

Physical Attributes: Nanuth is a maximum size brown, who is as big as some of the average sized bronzes. He may look like he is pudgy, but it is all to hide how strong he really is. He may not have the agility of blues and greens, but he makes up for that in stamina and strength. He can stay in flight for a long time and doesn't seem to tire very easily. Eventually fatigue will set in, if he pushes himself too hard.

Additional Notes: Nanuth will love chasing after golds when they rise, just so he can show how well he does in the air. He will do the same for greens, he doesn't matter the color of the girl dragon in flight. When he does find the female to be with, he will make sure she is alright with him chasing still. During thread, he is a forced to be reckoned with, his flame as hot as his temper can be and extra long when he is ticked off. Flying is in his blood, he loves being up in the air because it gives him such a beautiful view of everything. It is also to be noted that sometimes it looks like he is just 'hibernating' in the air, but it could just be that he is biding his time to make the perfect move.

Egg: Look Through My Eyes- Brother Bear A big egg that has a dark, starry blue color to it. In the center are five curved markings, that are jagged and look like claw marks. Each marking is a different color (pink, brown, red, yellow and orange).

Why Me? Nanuth knew Zamistia was the one the moment he broke from his shell. Her warmth caught his attention, something that he felt he couldn't live without in his life. Her heart was as big as his, he admired how much she did for others. However, he also could tell that she was a light that needed a protective wing to make sure nothing put out that glow. She would need every bit of strength and courage, something that he knew he could provide. He knew his soulmate completed him and he completed her in a way that they both needed. He would do anything for her, make her realize that she didn't need to hide in the shadows anymore. She was made for greatness, he will urge her to shine her light for all to see. And Zamistia will make sure that Nanuth's temper is kept in control, as best as she can. She will stand by her dragon, letting him know that he needs to allow himself to open up and shine himself. Together, this dragon and rider pair will grow and find the place where they belong.

Origin of Name: After Ignotus Peverll, one of the three brothers in the Deathly Hallows legend. The one who managed to outsmart death.

Inspiration: The Deathly Hallows are three highly powerful magical objects supposedly created by Death and given to each of three brothers in the Peverell family. They consisted of the Elder Wand, an immensely powerful wand that was considered unbeatable; the Resurrection Stone, a stone which could summon the spirits of the dead, and the Cloak of Invisibility, which, as its name suggests, renders the user completely invisible.  And it is said that anyone who holds all three objects is said to be Master Of Death. Harry Potter is the only known Master of Death, having gathered and mastered all three Hallows and most importantly, accepted death, as the true master understands that death is inevitable and that there are worse things in life than dying. 

Personality: There are mountains to climb and challenges to face all the time, and Ignotuth will find and conquer them all. But he knows there are right and wrongs ways of accomplishing things, and he would never stoop to doing something wrong, even if the outcome would eventually be good. Black is black, and white is white, things are right or wrong and there is no in bewtween. They are also proud. Proud of who they are, what they do, their purpose, and Theirs. Whomever Theirs is.

They are also cold, distant, not liking nor wanting to interact with others. Unless it is required of them to fulfill a task or accomplish a goal. But once the need for others has gone, they aren't one to need others. Friends aren't necessary. And as part of a method to keep away those that aren't necessary in their life, they speak sarcasm quite fluently, even sometimes when they probably shouldn't . Origin of Name: The name Raqisath derives from the Arabic word raqisa, which means “dancer.” This name was chosen because the Tarantallegra charm causes one to dance unwillingly.

Inspiration: Tthe Tarantallegra charm, or the “dancing feet spell,” is a charm used to force another person’s legs to begin dancing uncontrollably. It requires a clear, unobstructed view of the target to be successfully cast. The name of the charm is likely derived from the Italian tarantella dance, which is a quick and lively dance. This curse is cast several times throughout the Harry Potter books, most notably in Book 2, when Malfoy casts it on Harry at Dueling Club, and in Book 5, when Antonin Dolohov casts it on Neville, causing him to smash the prophecy concerning Harry and Voldemort.

Personality:
Raqisath prefers not to lead, although she loves to be praised and held up as an example, and can be quite competitive when it comes to demonstrating her mastery of a skill. Otherwise, she is mostly a follower. She is not the dragon to turn to for new wing formations, despite the ease with which she fits herself into group maneuvers. Creativity is not her forte, though with a given framework and instruction she can accomplish just about anything. This being the case, she will follow a person or a dragon with a strong vision almost slavishly.

This dragon, unfortunately, is mostly unable to see the good in herself unless it is reflected through someone else’s eyes. Even in areas where she excels, Raqisath will dismiss her abilities as minor, or credit her accomplishments to someone else, which makes her both easy to get along with and easy to manipulate. Raqisath craves positive praise, but will settle for any sort of attention, believing firmly that corrections are infinitely superior to nothing, because at least if someone takes the time to correct her, they still believe she is capable of improvement. Nothing would just mean it isn’t worth the time to try to set her to rights. She is absolutely the dragon who requests feedback after every practice and takes it very much to heart.

Fortunately, she is a quick learner, at least when it comes to physical things, and has excellent muscle memory, but even if she didn’t, Raqisath is both disciplined and obedient. She absolutely has it in her to dedicate herself same task for hours and hours, polishing minute details to a near obsessive degree. In this, Raqisath’s dedication is a double-edged sword. On one hand, she is a hard worker who will apply herself to a skill until she masters it. On the other hand, her single-mindedness in the pursuit of pleasing others (and thereby pleasing herself, at least fleetingly) means she could well do herself or her rider injury by pushing too hard.

An interesting aspect to Raqisath’s attitude toward improving herself is that she truly believes that improvement is always possible. Perfection, of course, is unattainable, but one can always be better. This may seem like an odd sort of optimism for a dragon who thinks so little of herself, but she does not only apply this belief to herself. She believes that hard work really can be a substitute for natural ability, and that anyone can accomplish anything, if only they are willing to discipline themselves to put in the time and effort, and her eye for detail, while usually turned inward, makes her a good assistant teacher, sort. She wouldn’t want to lead the class, but she could certainly walk around and make sure everyone was getting everything.

To address the matter of her vanity: Raqisath has a very clear idea of the Green Ideal, at least physically. A green should be small and quick, lissome and lithe. Her movements should all appear effortless, and her hide should always gleam. A green should never overeat, because to do so would create unsightly bulges in that petite form, and although strength is important, it is equally unappealing to have muscles that bulge excessively. After being such an ungainly hatching, Raqisath will always take great care to arrange herself in attitudes which display the long-muscled line of her body to greatest advantage. To achieve this goal, she has the self-discipline (and lack of self-regard) to limit her food intake and assume uncomfortable poses for long periods of time, rather than be shown to her best advantage. Raqisath also has a distinct eye for beauty in others, but it is less covetous than appreciative, and she always prefers someone who can move well over someone who is decorative but stationary.

Despite being a very physical dragon, Raqisath will probably be slow to reach sexual maturity, and not much interested in flights besides. Her body is a tool, and since as a green she could not possibly produce eggs from a flight (nor would she want to), she would not be putting it to its best use simply by rising to mate. At least in her opinion. Her human, of course, is welcome to do as she pleases, and obviously Raqisath believes in true love for both humans and dragons, but anyone who falls for her had best know that she will never, ever believe them when they say she's beautiful.

Because she is quick to learn most physical skills it won’t be long before she becomes graceful even on the ground, and eventually exuberant in flight. As an adult she will master the skill of deliberately isolating movements so that she does not come off as twitchy. She is stronger than she looks, but if her rider does not ensure she eats well, her stamina will be limited.

Additional Notes: Raqisath really likes music, especially when there's a strong drumbeat. She absolutely cannot keep still in the presence of a harper plying their trade.

Why Me? Reya is exactly the sort of strong and practical mind Raqisath would follow between and back without a thought. The fact that Reya, too, is driven to excel and willing to work obsessively will also appeal to the green, who will also benefit from Reya’s ability to balance her time. Reya knows when to say enough is enough and move on to something else, so when Reya says it’s time to stop practicing, Raqisath will heed her because she knows Reya understands how important it is to get things right, and that Reya is equally unwilling to look a fool by putting forth insufficient work and preparation. Similarly, Reya’s experience in caring for others means she will pay attention to how hard Raqisath works, and whether she is making unsafe decisions for the sake of self-improvement, and she will help her make more moderate decisions without simply issuing ultimatums. It isn’t just that Raqisath needs Reya to lead her and care for her, though. Reya will find in Raqisath a kindred spirit who shares her love of learning and her ambition to push herself to ever-greater heights. Raqisath’s appreciation for beauty will help Reya see that not everything in life has to have a purpose. Sometimes it really is enough simply to be beautiful.

Origin of Name: Derived from a combination of the latin word avid for “bird” and forma for “shape”.

Inspiration: Avifors is the transfiguration spell that transforms the target into a singular bird or into a flock of birds -- occasionally into a flock of bats, as well. The spell is vivid burst of blue light.

Personality: Excuse me, coming through -- the party is here, baby! Aviforth vyes to be the center of attention. He’s an attention hog from the get-go, wanting the spotlight to be on him. From the bright chipperness of his personality, to the fluidity of his body -- he’s here baby, come check him out! However, he’s not a completely selfish dragon, and doesn’t mind dragging someone into the spotlight, or sharing it when need be. Come share the light and dance with him, he doesn’t quite mind! Quite, being the operative word. Life is a party, why not enjoy it?

Aviforth radiates cheer out of every inch of his silky hide-covered body. There’s so much negativity between thread and everything else, why does everyone feel so negative about life? He’s there to breathe fun into everything. Games, happy chatter -- he’s there, Aviforth knows just what to do. Yet it often leads to him dancing and side-stepping around responsibility. He’s definitely not a dragon who has his eyes on the social ladder, and that’s perfectly fine by him! But chores and lessons will be an absolute bore, as will wing drills--and has a rather brattish take on them. Why fly a certain way when the sky is so limitless? He wants to be as free as a bird, not confined down to such limited space!

With a masterful control of his body, Aviforth is quite proud of his class clown title. He isn’t quite the smartest of his siblings and cousins, or at the very least seems to not learn his lessons. Why pay attention when he can show off for his siblings in how fun trying to stand on only his front two feet can be? Oh, a somersault! Let’s do that again, it gained some laughs! He loves to make someone happy! Playful at his core, it will take a lot of patience and gentle handling to find a balance for Aviforth--that there is time for play, but also needing to make time for work. It will be a very fine line to hammer down, for Aviforth’s sensitive sense of self wilts as he’s pressured to shape up--and will need gentle guidance to find that he doesn’t have to quite give up who he is just to get what’s needed done.

As he grows, Aviforth will find that everyone is pretty. Scars? Overweight? Missing bits? Nope! Everyone is pretty in his mind, for everyone is worth celebrating. Flirting will come a bit easier as he grows and matures, and finds his slinky body even more useful to cause dragons to stutter--often using his more playful, affectionate nature to brush up alongside a dragon, for Aviforth has always been a cuddler. From Golds down to Whites never escape his gaze, and he can always find something pleasing about any dragon.

Physical Attributes: He’s a very fluid blue. He’s long, limber without being seen as lanky. Aviforth’s wings are large without being cumbersome, and this dragon always seems to have a mastery of his form, even when goofing around. Aviforth takes full advantage of his sleek form, for he is an active dragon. He sashays when he walks, and his wings are always in movement--using them more like fans as he dances through life. Once he’s able to fly, those massive fans will always be going, for his rider will have a hard time ever getting him back on the ground.

Additional Notes: Aviforth is a quirky dragon at his core. Out of his shell, he’s dancing to the beat of his own drum. His wings are wide and used more as an expressional show of whatever he’s feeling. Harpers will always have the biggest fan in Aviforth--especially ones that play more upbeat tunes! Flights are one thing this dragon enjoys -- flying and dragons to flirt with? The best of both worlds. Yet his eyes stray to all sides of every flight, for he appreciates dragons of all colors.

Why Me? Oh, Cavera! Sweet, dear Cavera. He has waited so long for you. Aviforth is the Court Jester to your Queenly Court--for when a frown may grace your kind face or the tears may fall, he is here to coax a smile from the saddest of moods in any way that he can. He will always catch you before you fall, for he is the most reliable dance partner you could ever hope for -- and you will never feel alone again.

He is here to fly your dreams to the moons, yet will need your more grounded nature to make sure he comes back down to Pern. For his more vibrant personality will gain him some side eyes and negative remarks, and he will need that inner strength to remember to always be yourself, no matter what may be said.

Origin of Name: 유력한, which can be romanized as the name Yu Ryeok Han, is a Korean word meaning “potent, strong, effective, ruling.” Yudokhath’s personality, while laid back, is strong and self-contained when compared to his rider’s. He exists to lend his strength to Farinalgo, applying it in such a way so as to be more effective than any other influence in the man’s life. In short, he’s the yang to Farin’s yin.

Inspiration: “Lesson Number One” is a song from Disney’s Mulan II, sung by Mulan and a group of little girls from her village during a training montage. It’s a song about being balanced and well-rounded—for example, able to be both strong and gentle when necessary, and being brave even if you’re scared. And maybe NOT CRYING even though your emotions are wildly stirred. The inspiration was chosen more to be about the completion that occurs when a dragon and rider bond than either being particularly balanced on their own.

Personality: This blue is a well-spoken dragon who loves a good conversation, especially when had from a comfortable, scenic view. He’d very much rather be doing that than wing drills or actually fighting thread—when he’s old enough, that is. The occasional flight of fancy, leisurely paced for the sole pleasure of flying with his rider, would be ideal. Perhaps as a tangent to his preference for putting in the smallest amount of effort required, Yudokhath despises handholding and refuses to do it. He’ll be nice the first time, but after that, it’s a cold fish to the face to anyone who expects the sympathy to keep flowing. “Sink or swim” is his peculiarly appropriate motto.

That attitude might tweak the feelings of more sensitive types, but it would be a rare occasion that he would treat someone that way out of actual anger. He’s generally very laid back and positive, if a little self-focused. He likes to present himself as being charming and having it together, making use of polite words and flattery.

Physical Attributes: Yudokhath’s disposition toward indolence inclines him to be a tad overweight, but he is otherwise rakishly lanky. If he were human, he’d be considered vulpine-like, tall and slim, lacking in both bulky muscles and feminine softness. His tail is extra long, wingspan narrow from front to back but wide from tip to tip, and his eyes are often narrowed in a peaceful expression that can occasionally be mistaken for sleepiness.

Additional Notes: He tends to not chase very often, unless he is especially attracted to a rising green or another male riles him enough to join. He’s just too lazy to care all that much.

Why Me? Let’s face it: Farin needs to learn some balance. I mean, the bloke cries at anything even remotely moving or painful. And he can get bloody annoying when he’s happy, too. Just calm down a little, all right?

What was that about balance, Yudokhath? Who’s the lazy one around here? Farin’s energy and social aptitudes will help to lovingly force Yudokhath out of his slothful ways. And nothing counteracts vanity like a bit of tasteful filth, am I right? Bath time will be quite an adventure for this pair, no doubt about it.

Despite his focus on decorum, Yudokhath is willing to get up from his comfy spot and join in on the fun as long as Farin can remember to curb himself. He enjoys the spotlight as much as his rider, and would be a perfect assistant for any lesson or demonstration Farinalgo can come up with. Farin has shown time and time again that sympathy only weakens his ability to control his emotions—Yudokhath is more than happy to show this wilting flower some tough love. Both boys have some aspects that are a bit out of proportion, but the other has something to help make up for it, while also strengthening each other’s good traits. As the song says, one is not enough, you need both together.
