WHO WE ARE:

    Fight Club is an organization that prizes an individuals own prowess, strength, and ability. In simpler terms, it's a group that allows members to come together and fight! Whether it's to show off their own skills or to hone new ones, both skilled and novice fighters are welcomes and encouraged to join. Fight Club boasts a variety of resources so that trolls can get all the experience and training they could ever need!

    Currently, Fight Club is run out of downtown NHC in a gym named Fleetfeet. It's huge. You can't miss it. Fleetfeet offers a variety of work out equipment as well as official fighting rings for Fight Club members to duke it out in. You don't need to be a member to utilize the gym's resources! You do need to be a member to access the whirlpool jacuzzis, though.

WHAT WE DO:

    As said, Fight Club provides resources and networking for trolls who either love to fight, or want to get better at fighting. By joining Fight Club, you'll have access to a variety of veteran fighters, their experience, and like-minded individuals that you can forge strong friendships with! Fight Club provides a leader board system to encourage friendly (or not so friendly) competition with your fellow members! Members that can boast experience or prowess with combat can enroll in the Mentor program and younger individuals (child) have access to training programs.

    More information on these topics can be found below!

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

    Participate! Fight Club will run an annual Battle Royale for trolls of every ilk to take part in! Put on by Fight Club members, even non-members are welcome to participate! The Royale serves as a massive recruiting opportunity for the group as well as provide already-established members with great opportunities to climb the leader board! More information for the Royale will come up when the event is specifically run. Otherwise, you're just expected to do the best that you can do.

Please read the whole thread before signing up! PM the following form if you're interested in joining! (Or send through discord, idc really...)

CURRENT MEMBERS:

Sarcel Cincil :: Proprietor
    Military Captain personally appointed by the Queen, she's a very rugged blueblood whose scars tell her story of survival for her. When she isn't in the office neck deep in paperwork, she's usually in the gym keeping her form up or giving tips to her groups members.

Eostre Diazzi :: Mentor
    A military Lieutenant personally appointed by the Queen, this elegant blueblood doesn't look much of a fighter - but she loves it almost as much as she loves being a spy. She's happy to give fighting lessons and mentor trolls looking to fight better, and specializes in hand-to-hand, kickboxing and unarmed battle.

Kursha Vidari :: Mentor (unfortunately)
    Former rebel and felon turned military captain, Kursha is a troll well known for his penchant for battle and has even more scars than Sarcel does. Most times he seems content to waste club time harassing the big boss, however he does contribute towards training and practising with recruits. He's a crack shot, most proficient with rifles, but he's no slouch when it comes to melee combat either.

Elidae Bonbon :: Member/Mentor/Resident Cheerleader
    A rather cheerful and friendly sergeant for the royal Alternian army under the infamous Captain Vidari. Don't let her small stature and benign demeanor trick you- she's quite adept with dexterity and sharp melee weapons. While she's not being Fight Club's cheerleader and boosting morale, she will be more than happy to practice with recruits and teach what she knows, whether in or out of the ring- especially with the younger crowd!

Quella Fehtan :: Member
    Quella wasn't just raised wild, she was born that way. When she first joined the military, she thought she was joining Alternia's pack, but she didn't expect there to be so many RULES. Now she wants to join the gyms so she can really cut loose and get in a fight or two without strings attached. (careful, puppy tends to bite!)

Static Charge :: Member
    Static is more shy than he would like to be, and Fight Club is an environment where he feels he can learn how to stand up for himself. The blueblood also wants to dedicate more of his life to the military, and really focus on bettering himself.

Mihail Kreios :: Apprentice
    Mihail is a straight laced troll with a stern looking disposition, giving off the impression that he is aloof and cunning despite his young age. With keen eyes and a silent gaze, he studies those around him, learning and adapting.

Kerras Farron :: Apprentice
    A gentle soul who appears to have gotten lost and ended up in the wrong building. No other troll could look more out of place. Kerras has little love for meaningless aggression, shying away from most forms of violence. However despite their squeamish nature, it seems they have something to prove...

Tsarzi Ameroc :: Apprentice
    Equipped with the coolest demeanor this side of Bushind and a permanent deadpan, she definitely doesn't seem the friendliest. And you'd be right. Tsarzi isn't here to make friends, but you're welcome to try. For now, she studies as an apprentice in preparation for when she can join the fray.

Malice Ragoon :: Apprentice but not 4 long
    With cut lips and bruises aplenty, Malice is a troll who looks right at home at Fight Club. One of its fiercest members despite her youth, she'll take anyone any time. Don't let her battered appearance fool you--the bruises are darkest around her knuckles.

    FAQ;

  • My troll is an adult/kid! Can they still join Fight Club?

          Yes! Because of the nature of Hivestuck's battle mechanics and for the sake of the leaderboard, Adults are allowed to join but not permitted to participate in the annual Battle Royale. However, Adults are still encouraged to fight with their peers! Similarly, this is why Kids are not allowed to fight either! Both Adult and Children have access to different programs that Fight Club can offer. For more information, please read the Mentorship Program/Apprenticeship Program posts respectively for more information.

  • My troll is nonmilitary! Can they still join Fight Club?

          Of course! While Fight Club is a military sponsored group due to Sarcel Cincil being the initial benefactor of the group, trolls by no means have to be enlisted in order to participate. By participating, they will not be pressured to enlist either.

  • My troll is a rebel! Can they still join Fight Club?

          The short answer is no, but there are some exceptions. Because of Sarcel's position in the military, she will be doing background checks on applying members. If your troll has any mark on their personal record, she will know about it, and you aren't going to be in for a good time. That being said, any rebellion member with a false military ID or any rebellion member who has cleared their names from official databases at any point will be able to slip by with little scrutiny. Trolls who have created enough of a repertoire for their current alias can also apply. It is still not recommended for your troll to join even if they meet the aforementioned criteria, as there is a very heavy military presence within Fight Club, but you may still enroll at your own risk so long as you understand the potential consequences of being caught.

  • The user above me in the leaderboard is MIA or too busy to accept my position challenge/I'm too busy to defend my position! What do?

          Everyone has personal business and IRL obligations that they must attend to, and we definitely understand that. However, in order to encourage activity and keep things from stagnating, Fight Club reserves the right to make exceptions to our rules to allow for participation. We will answer these concerns on a case by case basis, but in the event that we experience this issue frequently, we will put an official guideline in place for working around this. If you're currently experiencing this, please contact Melancholies via PM or discord so we can work it out!

LEADERBOARD

    Within Fight Club is the ever most important leaderboard. To place high on it is coveted and comes with a variety of perks, the most important of which being bragging rights. Placement is reset annually following every Battle Royale, mostly to make way for new members and clear out inactive ones. That being said, placement is a privilege reserved specifically for Fight Club members. Placement can also fluctuate between Royales, though there are rules for doing so!

    • Currently, the only trolls eligible for leaderboard placement are teen trolls.

            Because of the battle system, adults begin at a much better advantage with their larger HP pools and extra roll damage. If enough adult trolls enroll in Fight Club, then I'll consider making a separate leaderboard for them to participate in. Otherwise, they would always occupy the top!

            That being said, not every eligible Fight Club member has to participate in the leaderboard if they chose not to. It is highly encouraged, but not necessary.

    • In order to be eligible for position challenges, all battles must be conducted equally. No powers, artifacts, or trinkets.

            The only exception is if your opponent has something of equal values. For example, a powered troll may fight another powered troll or a troll with an artifact so long as the combat level is the same. Troll A has a novice defense power, so to use it officially in a fight Troll B must also have a novice power OR a novice artifact. Otherwise it will always be stock 20/20 HP, no items, final destination.

    • To challenge another troll for their position, you must issue a CALLOUT battle.

            The only troll that you're allowed to officially callout is the troll above your troll on the leaderboard. If the challenging troll wins, they now occupy that spot. If the troll defending wins, they get to keep their position with no penalties. Trolls must wait a minimum of two weeks before issuing another callout. Trolls that are currently participating in a callout (i.e defending) battle cannot be called out until any current battles are concluded.

            Battles of this nature should be titled as [FC-BATT] to distinguish them as Fight Club mandated battles. At the end of the thread, this code should be posted by the one who issued the callout:
MEET ME IN THE PIT
Troll who issued the Callout:
            I'm calling out!:
            Result: (Win/Loss)

            This is purely for me to keep track of the board and keep it as up to date as possible!

MENTORSHIP

    Fight Club also boasts an impressive mentoring program! Trolls with outstanding combat prowess or skill can apply for a mentoring position. This comes with all the normal perks of being a Fight Club member, but with added freedom, clout, and accessibility. Mentors are expected to participate as much as they can in Fight Club related activities, as they are effectively supposed to act as gurus to new members, trolls who need training, or whatever Fight Club needs for them to do at the time. Established mentors are essentially going to be Fight Club's representatives, and as such comes with a lot of jurisdiction.

    • So what does being a representative mean?

            In order to join Fight Club, all trolls must be vetted through Sarce. With the introduction and expansion of representatives, they will have the ability to recruit new members on their own and have the ability to participate in behind-the-scenes management when necessary.

    • But I don't want all that responsibility!

            That's ok! You can still be a mentor without being a representative. However, mentors are still expected to do what their title implies: mentor. You will be expected to guide your less hardy companions through the woes of training, and to be a general role model for newer members to look up to. You will be expected to work especially close with those in the apprenticeship program, as they are specifically there for your guidance.

    • Great! So how does my troll become one?

            Currently, this role is only available to adults and teens. The entire purpose is that Sarcel found your troll to be experienced and responsible in combat, and decided to trust you with the role of imparting your knowledge and skill onto other trolls. Adults, by way of the battle mechanic system, will almost always be considered for this role because they are stronger than teens by default. Teenagers must apply to join Fight Club and be active, prolific, skilled members before Sarcel would trust someone (who is, icly) much younger and therefor less experienced.

            Fill out this form and PM melancholies if you want to be considered for a mentorship position!

            I'M CAPABLE!
            Troll name:
            Position: Mentor, Representative or both.
            Qualifications: Please list your qualifications! They can range from service in the military, any sort of unique talents that your troll has acquired, special skills, etc. Please keep in mind that Sarcel will likely want to see if your troll can back up their words, especially if she doesn't know them.

APPRENTICESHIP

    Don't know how to fight? Or maybe you're just terrible at it? Or maybe you're just plain too young to be on equal footing with your older peers. Fight Club believes that combat expertise is a very vital, if not 100% necessary skill for survival here on Alternia. That being said, there is an apprenticeship program for younger trolls that want to especially hone their skills with some of Alternia's best!

    • So what do I need to be eligible?

            The apprenticeship program mainly exists for children who want to whet their appetite with Fight Club, but are ultimately too young for the battle mechanics! By joining the apprenticeship program (which is open to all kid stage trolls, no vetting required), you guarantee a position as a initiated member upon growth.

    • Cool! So what does this do for my kiddo?

            Honestly at this point, it's mostly a way to network. You'll meet many other trolls with like minded interests and have many future opportunities by beginning your initiation as an apprentice. If your kid is also interested in the military, Fight Club is a good way for them to catch Sarcel's attention. Having a Lieutenant who wants to vouch for you is never a bad thing!

    • But my teen is a wimp-a**! They can't apprentice?

            This is a kid only position, sorry! Teens are welcome to join and still heavily encouraged to seek out the advice of the older members! It's what they're there for. Plus, when you're that age, you don't have an excuse to be such a wimp. You gotta hit the ground running.

            Because this is a child-only position, there are no forms to fill out! Any child applying to join Fight Club will automatically be put into this position.
