Name: User Image

Alkemi -
After the ancient art of Alchemy, from which one would try and transmute one thing to another. Could be an anime reference or two too.

Warudo -
From "The World", a card that symbolizes the end of once cycle and beginning of another in the Tarot. Also, most certainly an anime reference.

Blood colour:
        #3a72a6! ████████

Gender:
        Genderfluid, uses they/them pronouns

Symbol:
        User Image

Profile:
An enigmatic young troll with a penchant for crafting stories, Alkemi Warudo is the troll to go to for some good advice... if you can stomach their miserable social skills. In fact, Alkemi is a troll that seems far too old for their age at first meeting. Polite, but stiff and formal, their true childlike nature only comes forth when someone asks the right questions. Just like their cards they consult, or the stars they assign, the right questions will get the right answers from Alkemi. From there they are a bundle of curious energy wearing their formalistic mask. This mask puts them at a distance from other people, but their insatiable curiousity and creativity keeps them trying again and again.

As stated before, Warudo is always wondering about the world around them. Given their lonely lifestyle though, being in a cave on Busthind Mountain with their Mother, most of their answers up to this point have been fabricated from the corners of their tiny mind, in combination with what they observed from the world around them. What isn't filled in by that is filled in by Mother, whose own views tend to be on the old-school side. Combine all that together, and it results in an old-fashioned child trying to make it in this new fangled world.

What they love the most is trying to understand everything, and as such has created their own form of Astrology and cards similar to the Tarot. Though not particularly mirthful, they do think there are too many coincidences in this world for there to be nothing going on. Trolls born when the green moon was in this constellation, for example, display these traits from personal experience. Of course, they are drawing on like, a pool of two trolls they've met under that sign. But still! Coincidence? They think not! So they also like to read books on the spiritual side to try and figure out why the world is the way it is. Lots of books on philosophy, it gets a bit overwhelming.

Being a little old-fashioned, Warudo adheres to the hemospectrum the best they can. Respect for the purplebloods above them, and in turn expects respect from those beneath them. As well, they become confused when trolls come outside their caste into parts of society they normally don't. Redbloods as Lieutenants? Who ever heard of such a thing! Though this turn of events is surprising to Alkemi, they are fascinated by this as well. Because of their isolation from other trolls, however, they really do not have much of an idea of what they are supposed to do with their lives outside of their A Rainbow of Trolls book. Clever and skilled, with the ability to make great decisions... is that truly what they are? Well, Warudo has to try, right?

If a troll doesn't fit the type of person they should be, this is cause for further investigation! Is it poor star alignment? Best get their charts ready and track that information. Then of course, try and help a troll come back to the proper path with some gentle coaxing. A troll can be born under horrible conditions, but still be salvageable. Warudo hopes that by gathering this information, they can put it to good use somehow. Perhaps by guiding trolls back to their true potential, they can find their own.

They live happily with their cranky Mother, a huge dog-like beast that lives with them in their spacious Cave-hive hybrid. Though Mother loves her adoptive charge very much, with her great age there comes a lot of challenges. She does not always have the energy to put up with Alkemi's enthusiasm. As such, outside of basic needs like food, protection, and guidance, Mother is often resting at home. This isn't to say she is completely incapable of travelling; she's just not the young Lusus she used to be. Alkemi is left up to her own devices during these times, and enjoys finding new ways to spend it. When they aren't doing aforementioned activities, Warudo loves to try and surprise Mother with little trinkets and gifts. Mother doesn't show a lot of enthusiasm for them, but Warudo knows she loves them because in her own area of the hive they are all set up on display. Truly, a proud mother.

Strengths:

Creative -
More than the standard 'creative', Warudo is happiest when they are using their intelligence to make something new. Whether it is as simple as stretching their paint out a little while longer by mixing it with other things, to completely fabricating stories about their little constellations, if there is a will there is a way for them. This can lead to some outlandish theories, but nonetheless they can be entertaining.

Curious -
What is that bug? Why is that bug that way? Who goes there? What is your name? Why is that your name? Prepare for a million questions, as Warudo asks you about everything in your life and then some. Insatiably curious, most of their creativity stems from their need to answer questions they have. In the absence of answers however, rituals have taken their place. Being exposed to little trolls sure can cause a lack of answers. The nice thing at least is if someone is looking for help, all they have to do is tell Warudo about anything at all, and they will be pleased to give their own answers in return.

Optimistic -
Despite all their flaws, and the distance they feel from other trolls, deep down Warudo is an optimist. Things will work out for the better... eventually. Good things come... someday. Despite their loneliness and distance from others, they will one day be able to share their gift with others, and to help Mother! Even if a reading comes up sour, or the stars are not in your favor, Warudo has a way of spinning things to make things come out right.

Flaws:

Convoluted -
Getting ideas and words out of Warudo is almost like pulling teeth. Not because they do not want to share what they have; truthfully, they want to share too much. When its necessary to talk about who stole something, Alkemi Warudo will not only say who, but what they looked like, their life ambitions, their motivations... All until it gets far too muddled to understand clearly. They speak in roundabout ways, going through all the checkmarks and markers they leave for themselves before finally getting to the answer.

Ritualistic -
Things must be done a certain way, otherwise they become uncomfortable. Their life is a routine: waking, grooming, day-to-day activities... Sometimes their rituals can be as convoluted as their communication, and distract from the matter at hand. Going outside the ritual, since it is unfamiliar to them, will make Warudo even more uncomfortable than they already feel most of the time. When others do not seem to display ritualistic behavior, it confuses them. However, Warudo is more than happy to include people in their habits! Oftentimes they will try and steer people towards following their own patterns, such as putting Mother's braid on the right shoulder. Oftentimes this is backed up with "this will make Mother happy" or "this will bring good luck".

Anxious -
Warudo feels separate from other trolls, and this in turn puts a lot of anxiety on the poor kid. Though they are hopeful for their future, and think that one day they can get over this hurdle, in the end their inability to communicate clearly and their habit of having habits keep them from pushing forward more. To explain this feeling, they feel like they are at a party at all times, but they do not know how to initiate conversation with anyone. Therefore, they stand at the edges always, a watching wallflower, who never seems to get that courage to join the dance. Not knowing what their role in the hemospectrum quite is, and constantly appeasing some sort of nervous habit, Alkemi Warudo does not know how to deal with this emotion yet. Yet,
as stated before, is hopeful that one day they can share what they love with others.

Weapon:
Though it may seem silly to see a child wield such a thing, Warudo uses a traditional sword in combat, as seen often in medieval pictures. It is a bit big for them (and admittedly belonged to the first child Mother had), but they love it dearly and regularly clean and maintain it. Hopefully they do not have to use it any time soon!

Appearance:
Frail and small, Alkemi could possibly blow away in the harsh winds of Busthind if they weren't careful. Despite their small stature though, they have a strange presence that tends to draw people's attention. Perhaps it is their perfect braids running down each side of their head, or their mature-for-their-age flowing top and flowing patterned pants, but Alkemi isn't a troll that will go unnoticed if they can help it. They stand tall, are prim and proper, and above all relentless in their desire to talk.

Home:
Though far from poor, due to Mother's stubborn ways, they live in the very cave they found her in. This does not bother Warudo, however, because they have decided to make this place rather beautiful. It is kept warm by the large, cave-hole-shaped door they had installed. All of the insides are painted with painstaking pictures of the stars they view in the sky each night from home. As well, thin sheets of fabric are connected across the cave in various draping patterns. This is actually serving a practical purpose: This cave is decked out in electric lamps. However, in order to take care of the "aesthetic" of the place, their wires are hidden in these drapes. Not very fire resistant, but great for appearances. Though they have this modern amenity, Warudo does not use microwaves, televisions, or other things of that nature. Instead she relies on traditional stovetops and books for entertainment and cooking. Their recooperacoon and small room (really, an extra nook hiding in the cave) is shielded by many drapes, and inside there is a small slab where they safely keep their special cards. Nobody gets to come into this room except for Alkemi, and sometimes Mother if Alkemi was a naughty child and needs to be summoned. If someone is looking for advice, Warudo will bring the cards out to them.

Overall the place is rather neat, even the large piles of pillows are meticulously arranged, and their many slab bookshelves are alphabetized. Things have to be in their proper order, after all!

Lusus:
A hulking beast known simply as “Mother” guards Warudo in their cave home. Interestingly, this lusus is not Warudo's first one! Alkemi Warudo’s original lusus died protecting them when they were very little, barely out of the caves. In an attempt to protect themselves, they latched onto a rather old, cantankerous lusus whose own child had long since grown and died. Call it a second chance for both of them. But because of Mother’s giving them said chance, Alkemi does not want to burden their parent. They do not ask for many favors, out of both respect for their Mother’s time and health.

Mother is rather old-fashioned, and somewhat distant as a parent. She has no sympathy for any mistakes her child may make… supposedly. Yet when she can, she brings little gifts and treats for her new charge. Though these are few and far between, not for finances but simply because long journeys are laborious for her, Alkemi treasures all gifts given to them. Despite their mother’s lack of outwards affection and mercy, Warudo adores their Mother. They know Mother’s true name – Nina, but will not use it out of great respect and protection. Names mean things in their world, and proper respect must be given when due. Respect, for both the inanimate and the animate, is what Mother emphasizes most of all in her teachings. People must give respect, in order to command respect. Following the Hemospectrum, respect of names, protection of ceremony… all of these are ideas that Mother has passed on through her time with Warudo. Because of this, Warudo prefers going by their last name (to guard their first), and has developed little rituals in their own life they follow through to.

Appeareance-wise, Mother is a hulking dog-like beast creature that slinks about on all fours (when she does decide to move), with long, long hair that Alkemi braids nightly and then drapes over her shoulder. It has to be the right one!

You lay me so low with Mother. I didn’t realize at first WHAT YOU DID THERE, and now I’m dyin. She’s perf.

OKAY! Alkemi is looking great! I really LOVE the concept of them having rigid ideas of trollish stereotypes (based off of the Rainbow of Trolls book… Amazing). I just wanted to ask a couple of questions about their views for a bit of elaboration.

How might they respond to a troll who doesn’t fit into their stereotypical idea of how certain trolls should act? Does she edit her findings based upon her own made-up Astrology, or hold true to Alternian propoganda?

Does she try to influence others to be more like their archetypes, like how she strives to act like her own?

Also, please make sure that Alkemi and Mother are well enough to do some traveling so that they can interact with other trolls and take part in the world.

One shop-canon thing, is that lusii seek out trolls with like-blood colors. Sorry about that, but Mother can have the same blood color but also have had a previous charge before so that is A-OK!

I love Warudo, but ******** you for giving me feelings regarding Mother. How dare you.

I don't see anything that needs fixing here! I'm a little curious as to how Warudo feels about juggalos (just given that they're the biggest supernatural cult on Alternia), but yeah... other than that...

Good luck, matey!

No crits from me, but I have a question. Trolls have their own form of astrology based on 48 star signs. Does Alkemi ascribe to the "mainstream" method of astrology, or have they made up their own version based on their own observations/upbringing?

Other than that--
