"And here I thought we were a storm." said Keionx, recovered enough for some fun back-and-forth, "Surging through this ship in unstoppable glory." Nevermind the whole... getting beat up part. They'd already cut a swath through the ship, and would continue to cut a swath through the ship, save the world, and bring back the precious information back to the Initiative to boot. Keionx was feeling pretty confident about that.
"But if we are a train, then I am certainly not the caboose."

Hands on her hips, she did a last once-over, checking the team's facial expressions and breathing. "Okay, looks like we're good." Time to head on out! As she got ready to go, she paused.
"Hm. Actually, I feel nimble enough for another quick jog. I'll let you know if I find anything cool."
A quick run down the hall, and it seemed to go on for too long and too quietly. No doors to speak of, either.
She jogged back. "Doesn't look like it's worth it. Where do you wanna head next, boss?"

"Mmm, I say we should go over here." Another hallway was found and Eridia had no other option but to go through there. They couldn't possibly go back their tracks, they had to keep on moving. Sure she was having a hard time to hit her opponents but she couldn't let them know how stupid she felt. Eridia had to ignore the feeling of incompetence. Keep it all in.
Keionx understood - sort of - why they were letting the purpleblood lead. She still wasn't sure where the troll was on the damsel-villain scale, but she was already wary of being backstabbed. Certainly, Kei wasn't trusting her with their backs, and it was easier to scout out terminals from this angle.
Still, they had been led to what appeared to be a looping hallway... were they any closer to their goal?
Enemies - she heard them before she smelled them, and smelled them (in a faint way, as if through the cold thin air of Busthind) before she saw them. And there were a lot of them.
All right - what was her kill count? What was Ardais... Augh, that was the name, Ardais. Ardais what, though? Damn if Keionx was paying attention, though. And what was the purpleblood's count?
She got into her battle stance as she figured it out, and - with the count in mind - got ready to rumble.
Eridia's choice brought them to a bunch of daywalkers. Like, a huge old bunch. Awesome! More target practice. But... She could also keep track of the others, see how they do. And she should save her ammo anyway. She easily batted a couple away. "Okay, there's a lot of these guys. Show 'em what you've got! Consider them target practice."
But, oof, so many. Very easy to get separated from everyone else. Luxara started to flee towards the rafters.

It was like fighting the tide - these things just pressed forward, even when she cut at them. Keionx backed towards the closest team member - her shield wouldn't do much good if something got behind her. She was still so far behind on the daywalker count - she needed to do better.

"I want to leave now." She said sternly. What was this, a swarm of some kind? The highblood flung one of the daggers at a daywalker, ran after it to retrieve her weapon, huzzah! She had hit some apparently! Her luck was shifting from bad to good... Perhaps. Stepping up closer, she had been hitting walls again. Lady luck definitely was against her at this moment. With a sigh, Eridia retrieved her weapon.
A couple of daywalkers grabbed her mid-run. More annoyed than anything else, she gave them a quick clobber with her crossbow. She looked to the rest of her team. They didn't seem to be doing much better. Was it that overwhelming? Man, that'd suck. They barely even got anywhere on the deck! "We just re-energized. Let's use that energy to take these guys out and keep moving! It'd be embarrassing if we couldn't. Show 'em what you're made of!" Like life, for instance.

Rutaca Spuode (Keionx Rutace) Show them what they were made of? Keionx was trying. She hacked apart three of the daywalkers and blocked the blows of a few more. Hands reached over her shield, wrapping around it and nearly wrenching it from her grasp. She shook it, violently, and managed to get some control back...
By the stars, were they learning?!

she hated missing her targets, Eridia hated feeling so useless, so defenseless, so-- ARGH! A daywalker had attacked her from the back, bringing the surging pain in her upper body again. She didn't know how much strain she was giving to her upper extremities, and honestly she wasn't thinking about it at the moment. Kill, kill, kill. That's what she wanted to do.
Eridia stuck back, stabbing the undead troll in the eye as payback.
Yes! Hits! Good! The younger trolls were going at it now. Getting it together, taking down the daywalkers in decent numbers. Luxara still easily just smashed some jaws with her crossbow. Less ammo, more fun. "You're starting to get into the groove! Good job! Focus on your targets and they should go down real quick!"

It was turning into a tug of war for her shield, and, with the way it ended up positioning her body, Keionx couldn't properly slash at them. To make things 'worse' she could see that the purpleblood was doing better. Than her. Keionx resented having to count for her, but it would be all right. With patience, she could catch up...
Or maybe, if she let them take her shield...

This was some kind of sick and twisted joke. It wasn't even a funny one for gog's sake. Eridia grunted, looking totally displeased. She kicked, she stabbed, she tried to keep the enemy away-- but the strain was too much to handle. Eridia panted under her breath, body shaking heavily from the wear she had experienced.
She wanted to go home. This was just too much for her... Or was it?
Well, Kei wasn't doing too great all of a sudden, but Eridia was keeping up her groove. Good. Maybe she could be some kind of leader yet. Luxara continued to keep vigilance, having given up on a vantage point, instead keeping around the fringes and bopping any weak or unassuming-looking daywalkers. Which, admittedly, was rare.
But she could see her team better, and fewer daywalkers continued to roam. "You're weeding them down! Keep it up! We're almost done with 'em."
