It was a welcome sight, the door. Caiden extended a prong and gave it a touch. "Hey," He said to the door, "Nice seeing ya."
And then they passed on, passed by the door. Doors were a symbol of continuing on, of moving to a new place, but also of mysteries and dangers that they contained. Caiden wasnt ready for such dangers yet.

How many doors had they passed? Enough to make Deimos think they must be getting close to the room they were supposed to examine. The stupid music Mahmud had turned on was still playing some weird beat, but it only made him more antsy. He wanted out. He stopped as they neared a hallway, pausing to look down it for a few moments. "This hallway's no good, nothin' goin' on down there." He shook his head, then continued jogging along the corridor they were already on.

What was this? Blessings from unforseen god of doors or something? All they kept finding were doors. Doors that they were all trying to avoid because personal experience stated there'd be something bad behind them. Like a falling ceiling, perhaps. Gog were all his ceilings going to be reinforced somehow from now on, thinking about it. "I unno guys... having so many doors in one place... kind of ominous."
This entire hallway was just filled with doors. Austri didn't know how to feel about it, especially with the cheerful Zumba music blasting in the background. Her hands rubbed her head a little, contemplating. A small part of her was tempted to open one, but it soon died after hearing a loud groan on the other side. Uhuh, nope. They were scouting, and that was it. The greenblood shuffled onward to the next.

The corridors seemed to meld together, becoming one long, long, tunnel of zombies running to the fodder. "Well," Caiden started, talking to his team, "At least we can be pretty sure we know whats coming, right?" It was zombies, the answer was always zombies. No where was safe, not even the space behind doors.

The amount of doors on this corridor was really...unsettling. He kept moving, eventually passing to the front of the group when he spotted something ahead that looked interesting. "Hey, a storage room. Maybe we'll find something useful in here." He waved the others into the room after him. Most of it seemed like nonsense, but... maybe they'd get something nice.

Finally, an open door! Usually those had been safe, and they could even find something good inside! But when they went in there wasn't much hanging around, except-- "Woah GOG hey! Hey hey hey! Stop squirming!" Inside were more of those mutated gerbils from before, on their other ship. "If you don't stop running I'm going to SQUISH you by mistake-- gah!" Finally, Mahmud managed to scoop up a particularly skiddish one.
"Awww" he cooed, feeling a little bit better now that he was finding cute things that he didn't have to kill. "Mmm... calm down... uh... Janus." It was determined. This one shall be Janus.
Whoah, there were so many of them! Austri was fairly certain she had at least two back in her dorm, and seeing them so sweetly near her was almost adorable. "Hmm~ I think you're gonna be, umm...~" She liked the name Janus, but Austri didn't want to copy it. "Janeus~? Janeus~ Ohoho~" Passing by another door, the greenblood pat its head endearingly. What a cute gerbil. They did need to move on, however. "Alright, let's move~"

Caiden held the animal in his hands. It was at one point adorable, innocent, a beacon of light in this dangerous land. It was something that could love, that he could love, and so a good thing. But on the other hand... it was still an undead creature. Oh well, he would take what love he could find. "Hi Janis."

More gerbils. That's all it was. Well- that was fine, he'd just...have to figure out how to care for so many. It wasn't like he could just feed them to Thypion. One, they were too small, and two, he wasn't about to give his lusus mutated food. Gross. He stopped as he almost passed by another open door. "We must be in some kinda storage area... there's another open room here we should check out." He waved the others to come join him inside.

Checking it out? No problem! Seems that now that there were far less zombies to fight, Mahmud's mood was picking right back up. His butt wiggled a bit as he bent over and dug around through some of this nonsense junk. Were there more gerbils? To be honest, he didn't know how he was going to explain this many to Tevini and Cerpin when he got back-- oh! "OH!" Standing up straight again, Mahmud held out something to his team. "Remember this stuff, Dei? Its that gas we used on Nahori... the one that got her conscious again!"
It was another ******** door. There were almost too many doors now, it was almost like they were pressuring them to open them. Austri pursed her lips, crossing her arms and huffing some. Janeus pressed its nose on her cheek lightly. For some reason, she really wanted to thank some sort of gog right now. Janeus...? No, wait, that wasn't right.

A welcome sight. A door. Caiden pulled out the spray paint and did a few designs on it, turning its sad, abandoned look into something more contemporary. Something someone could look at and say to themselves, "thats a good looking door". Hopefully not open it tho, he didnt want to make it look welcoming, just good.

They were really booking it down the hallway- seriously. He was pretty sure he hadn't run this fast in his life. Was the music actually helping? "Maybe we're past all the personnel areas?" He sure hoped so, anyway. The echoing music was growing more and more distant the farther they ran, something he was both thankful for and a little disappointed about. It was, admittedly, pretty funny to background music to this debacle of an excursion.
