Caiden gave Deimos a wide eyed look. "The uh, the... entire crew?" He grew a little pale as he looked this way and that, suddenly realizing where the zombies had come from. He had refused to think about it, the zombies were just... there. Not made out trolls, that was not exactly what he wanted to be thinking about as he killed zombies tho...

Deimos decided to ignore Austri's attempts to needle them all into getting angry, figuring it would probably just frustrate her more than a snide response. "There's only three of 'em." Thank god. He didn't want to spend any more time than was necessary beating back the undead in the ship. They'd find the control room sooner rather than later, right? Right? He stifled another yawn, then readied himself for another session of zombie killing. They would get there eventually. Then maybe after he'd go get something sweet - he was suddenly craving some.

        Gog, was he getting tired of this. Tired of fighting these zombies, tired of being on this ship... the company was fairly enjoyable. Even Austri was tolerable, but it was definitely spoiled by the fact that he had to keep repeatedly bashing this daywalker's head on the side of the wall. "JUST. ********. DIE." he roared, as he kept smashing its face in over and over.

        The more he fought, the more upset he felt.

Well that could have gone better. "C'mon Mahmud, are you gettin' tired?" He stepped in to take out the last two zombies, slamming one into the other before crushing both skulls with his mace. Yep. Needlessly violent but effective. He looked back to Mahmud, "I know a lotta good sleep remedies if you are." He was totally teasing. But also serious. Insomniacs gotta know that s**t.

Caiden sighed. What Deimos had said really stuck with him. These zombies... they were all trolls, they were all people with their own past feelings, relationships, loves and hates... It was just.. not something he had considered before. He felt guilty not helping to attack the zombies, but he still felt weird about it.

        Weary from the hoards they had to keep fighting, Mahmud walked into the room not expecting much. And really, there wasn't much in here anyways... except it seemed, a few more hideously mutated gerbils. Again, out of instinct, he jumped back to stomp on them but they started to squeak helplessly. "Oh uh... sorry." Fadafad was joining in the squeaking, seeming to carry on a conversation with them.

        One in particular spoke out to him, and Mahmud picked that one up.

        "Hey guys, this one's Tadalaa. I think they are cool."

        Gog he had been on this ship too long, on all these ships too long. He must've been losing it, because now he was talking to gerbils.

"Wait are you s'posed to name those things?" He tilted his head at Mahmud, completely missing the gerbil that crawled up his suit to join the one he'd picked up earlier in a pocket. "I've never had pets before, dunno how that s**t works." Man... he needed to get books on gerbil care. At least that wouldn't be too expensive, or hard to find. Gerbils were everywhere.

"Whaaat?!" Caiden exclaimed as Deimos admitted he didnt name his pets. "Well then we gotta help you come up with a good name, right?" Caiden beamed at Mahmud, nodding to get the other brownblood to join him in name suggestions. "What about.. Socks?" Caiden tilted his head again, thinking. "Or mold, or guck... or clod?"

Once they came to a split, he held up a hand. "I'm gonna check this way real quick." He shuffled off quickly, eager to see if there was anything useful down this particular pathway. He was met instead with a shuffling sound and promptly turned around and walked as quietly back to the group as he good. "Nope, no, not a good path. Let's go that way instead."

        "Mmm..." Mahmud nodded along to Caiden's suggestions, trying to think of an equally... erm... interesting nickname. "Dei loves space... so probably a star name? Or something astronomical?" Though he wasn't in much of a mood to socialize anymore, Mahmud DID find himself feeling a bit better doing this and walking down the hallway. "Or name them something like...
        Supermassive Black Hole. Or Pulsar. Or Red Shift..."
        he muttered, all the while racking his brain for all the terms he learned from Polair's books that she gave him.

        "Ya got any ideas for names, Austri?" Eh if they were stuck in a team together, and they've been through this much so far, he... may as well try and make conversation.

The room beyond the door seems empty from the hallway, but stepping inside you are swiftly aware that you are not alone! For lurking in the corner is a dark groaning shape. As it turns towards you, you realize you are entering strife!

It seems like there has been critical damage to the ship in multiple places. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
3- The ship refuses to power on, even after you follow headquarters instructions to make sure they are plugged in, and hitting ctrl-alt-del. It looks like something core is not functioning. Your team is instructed to leave the small black boxes containing deadly explosives in key positions on your return path to the exit.
4- Powering on the ship is easy enough, with the instructions from headquarters in your ear. The screens show that the ship is functioning perfectly, and headquarters patches in the control of a remote helmsman. They wait until you have returned to your boarding pod and leave, before steering the boarding vessel away.*
If any troll in the party has helmsman authority, they can steer the ship to given coordinates, then return to the boarding vessel with the rest of the team.

Caiden had been... avoiding using his power in his usual ways. He usually enjoyed a burst of butterflies, a field of flowers... Autumn always the forefront of his imagination. But he didnt really have her anymore... She was famous now, he was just... him. He used a wave now, a wave that crashed angerly against the monster. It felt sad, alone. Lost at sea.

        As that wave crashed against the monster, Mahmud clutched his little Fadafad and Tadalaa to his chest in protection. What... what the hell was this guy, too? Suddenly, Acrlic grew far more interesting. There was this fleeting moment where he felt concern for Acrlic, wanting to protect his... water? Based abilities? Away from Austri.

        "Oy. Acrlic... Dei, hold them please." Gingerly, he placed the two gerbils in Dei's arms before he could protest, and then ran towards Acrlic and the monster. "Austri hurry up!" he called to her as he ran on by. "If I kill this thing before you, I'll tell all the Sirens!" Hopefully that'd be enough motivation to get her fighting.

        And then? Mahmud wrecked the hell out of that monster.

        Now that he knew his hammer worked? He went to ******** town. Sure, the monster was ******** him up, and, again, fighting absolutely sucked, but the sooner he finished this the sooner they could all-- BLECH

        "EEEEUCH! EW! UGH! I.." Some of the rotting goo got in Mahmud's mouth while he was scream-fighting, and he backed off the monster before delivering the final blow to start dry heaving that flavor out of his mouth.

        Absolutely disgusting.
