In the Northth, near the border of the Cloud Village, an open field, larger than one can really take in like it's twin to the south, exists. This area is a farmland primarily, with the provincial produce being Rice and Wheat like in the South. This farmland pulls from the fell method and uses the higher altitude to their advantage in making both cold resistant wheat and rice. These strands of crops are slightly more valuable due to this resistance, though only for countries with similar weather. There are a grand total of six farms here each producing wheat and rice. Each farm produces a grand total of one ton of product per week. This product is then shipped to the village for processing, storage, and sale. Unlike the southern version, this area is actually populated by refugees from the Swamp lands to the northeast where the UHV pushed out those who wouldn't join. The dozen or so families were resourceful, taking the felled trees and beginnings of a farm made by Jeon and Jay Park, Kumo ninja who are natives of the Swamp, to create amuch larger more impressive farming structure.

The duo stood side by side, staring at the oddly dense vegetation of the area. As they could see, the ground was ripe for farming, btu they would need to, sadly, clear out all of the vegetation and what have you. To start, they dropped down their weapons and the duo mirrored each other's handseals. "Water style, Violent water Wave!" At the last syllable they expelled together, slowly turning their bodies as they cut into the earth where all of the trees in the ground. It was painstaking, and consumed chakra from their shared pool, but it made the work go by infinitely faster than it would have should the pair had done it all by hand. For the most part, they actually did a fairly good job of knocking them down or carving them up good enough to move away. BUt the two didn't knock em all down with ninja magic, no way. That would have proved to be so incredibly boring. Shoes came off, and handwraps applied over them and hands. The two did a bit of stretching, loving the feeling of grass below their feet.

For the second part, the duo set a bet. Whoever could knock down the most trees would win. The duo counted down together from five, finishing out stretching as they did so. As the countdown hit 0, they launched into opposite sides of the forest. With thundering blows of formless strikes echoing for kilometers, perhaps not literally, the two of them were straight up uprooting the trees or breaking through them with decidedly powerful attacks. It was slower sure, and a lot more effort, but the pair were better off for it. Always good to work off extra energy. So it was that the two smashed and pushed and kicked and chopped away, literally tearing apart the forest in a very direct way. It got somewhat tedious for Jay, and Jeon wasn't very entertained with hitting things that couldn't hit back to be honest, but the duo continued for the sake of winning alone. In the end, Jay got bored second, which meant his path of destruction eventually cut into her own. This, for all intents, meant he did more destroying than she did. Finally, Jay had something over his sister.

For the next portion of the building of this farm, the duo took to working together to move all of the trees into one area. THeir muscles complained, but the duo fought through it, not needing to stop until half of the several dozen trees of varying types and sizes were together. They sat on the logs, baking in the mid-day sun for a bit. Jay had chosen to forgo his shirt, and Jeon was down to her sports bra. Insects could try to bite them, but it only tickled the hard-body duo. In about fifteen, the duo was back to gathering the trees to the spot that they had chosen. It was, again, monotonous and tedious work but someone had to get rid of all of that s**t, and who better than the twins who knocked it all down. Better yet, why completely get rid of all of them when they could use the resources? Once they were gathered, the twins reached for their machetes.

They worked together, tree to tree. They slashed all of the branches and leaves off of each one, and then tossed them into an ever growing pile away from where they were planning on creating their new farmland. The pair shaved off the roots as well, doing their best to make rounded tree trunks that were more like huge logs. They would then roll them into an ever growing pile, just like the foliage they were shaving away. They were used to hard work that should take all day going by quickly. They, after all, were essentially slaves in their childhood doing this. It was strange they still enjoyed the most basic form of botany work as much as they did, but two things made the hard work go by much faster for the two of them. First, they were free of constrains. They farmed, much like they fought, because they chose to. Secondly, anything the pair did together was better than doing alone. Their teamwork was on point as usual as they blazed through some otherwise extremely tedious and tenuous work. Sooner than they realized, they were finished with the difficult part of that work. A crew would likely come by to turn the foliage into mush and remove the trees for wood working. The duo then turned still sharpened blades on the rest of the foliage that was left behind.

Since they couldn't reliably start a controled fire, they had to do this part the hard way. There was a combination of machete chops, pulling as a team, and naginata shovel work across the massive area the two were tilling. It was still a ways off from being dark, and they were far from the mountain where they had found the stalker corpse, but they didn't honestly want to get caught outside in the dark for the time being. Not alone where another, larger, angrier pack of glass wolves could be in wait. They had good visibility all around, but animals had to hunt and kill here prior to their terraforming, and those creatures would likely have good skill with hunting even in these conditions. This bore in Jay's mind as he pulled a whole bush out of the ground with his sister and threw it to the pile of foliage. This was mostly the story of their clearing of the Northern Prarie. It was starting to look like some good farming space now, but they still had a bit of work to do with it. On to the next part of their labor, as it were. They walked across the mud left behind from the water jutsu, separating for the next step.

The pair stood at opposite sides of the field again. The duo replicated their seals from earlier, the Violent Water Wave skill. They were extremely precise with the skill, boring straight lines clear across the field, then turning and clearing more of that land. They angled themselves to cut deep enough, but not to leave a whole lot of water behind in the earth. The balance was delicate but necessary for the further steps if they wanted to get this done before it got too late. The pattern was one made specifically for farming rice, which was what this land was best suited for farming. Strangely enough, Jay's work didn't dwarf his sister's as far as the neatness and symmetry went, even though he did take to water jutsu more than she did. Where the two of them met streams, they cut off the supply of water, and then gathered together. Jeon stepped into her brother's arms and he threw her, literally, as high as he could. She peered over the farm from several stories up, and as she started to fall, he leaped to catch her mid leap. He landed holding her more like a wife than sister, and she gave him a thumbs up for the theatrics. She also confirmed they had done a good enough job, and hopped out of his arms to gather the two huge bags of seeds.

They each put on on their shoulder, and started planting. This was, without a doubt, the most tedious part of all. So mundane. Same thing. Plant in mud, close. Plant in mud. Close. Even the writer was tired of this nonsense by the end oft he proverbial first post. But the trio persevered! They made it go quicker by singing songs to themselves. Via twin telepathy, they ended up singing the same song, rhythmically planting from the hundreds and hundreds of seeds that they had brought in huge burlap sacks. Now, the two of them were dancing while they worked, doing all they could to make their lives more fun. WHen they were finally near enough to each other to hear they were at the same part of the same song they only got louder and more obnoxious in every way. This was, essentially, the end of what was required of making the farm, so the two of them were getting excited. When they finally got done, they high fived each other, got a whiff of how much they smelled like dog, and immediately went to go home and shower, taking what they came with.

As they travelled down south, Shu sniffed as he spoke with a low growl, "Twins." Hakanai furrowed her brow for a bit. "They were here?" She questioned as he nodded. Hakanai does one nod to let him know that she understood. It must've been recently too. Everything.. was bulldozed down and it looked like some things were planted. Hakanai and Shukenja were careful to look for clues as well not to disrupt the soil below. Hakanai sighed softly. She shook her head at her furry friend and tilted towards the other direction, "Let's go to another open area and see what we can find. If not, let's go to a busy one. Maybe we'll find some clues..." With that, they both headed out.
