She waved goodbye to him and watched as he walked off for the rest of his shopping. Jeanette turned her attention back on her grocery list and proceeded to turn around back to the food aisles where she finished up as quickly as she could.

That was all she really needed at the moment and hummed happily to herself as she walked the isles, picking up what she needed and placing it in the cart before moving on. Stahl was, in a sense, half certain he'd be fired during his first shift this morning, a missed alarm resulting in being somewhat late. As luck would have it, or maybe he was just overestimating the expectations after the quick training/orientation the day before, there was little more than a warning this time. "This time." He thought as he settled in at the checkout. He wasn't sure how much he'd enjoy this job, if at all, or if he even planned to stick around for long...but the fact of the matter was that he needed the money, whatever he had left over from his travels was quickly on the decline. Holding back a sigh, he did what he could to not look like the most clueless person in the store. Still, he couldn't help but let his gaze wander. It felt weird being on this side of the counter, the other customers now customers he would have to serve. It was unusual, interesting and a tiny bit overwhelming all at once...he just hoped he'd survive long enough to get the hang of things. Idly, he reached down to touch his water flask, but instead found nothing but his belt. He refrained from sighing, yes it was also the sort of container used for alcohol, but it was still a shame to have it in a locker in the staff room. Instead reaching by the side of the stall for a plastic water bottle, he took a quick sip as he once again let his eyes wander the immediate area.
Ragna managed to make his way to the grocery store, the cake still in good condition as he ran over to the freezer to grab a bag of fries. It seemed somewhat busy today before he ran back over to the front, he seemed a bit.... full on his hands as he set the cake and the fries down, taking a moment for a small breather before they tried to scan the cake. "No no no, sorry, I came in with that cake." He told the person with a small smile as the person looked at him like he was joking before he called for the manager to check the footage. Ragna sighed before rubbing his slightly wet brow from the small showers outside. The manager indeed confirmed he came in with the cake as the clerk nodded their head and offered him a bag for the cake so the plastic container around the ice cream cake wouldn't become too slippery to hold. He nodded his head as they double bagged the cake, handing him the fries in another bag before he paid the $5 bucks for the fries. He took both bags in two different hands and decided it would be best to find his brother first to inform him of the party and the location before he was off of work. (Exits)
"Hmmm... my sister does want ice cream. Too bad cookies and cream is unavailable."
In fact, the only flavors available are pistachio and almonds, chocolate brownie, strawberry, mango and salted caramel. Yukari was back at the grocery store, having to restock the pantry but also to satiate her sister's sweet tooth. If anything, she asked her to make the cookie dough nachos that would compliment well with the ice cream since she hadn't had that for a while. The younger Koizumi sighed; Yukina's sweet tooth would definitely be insatiable at times, but then again, the extra calories would be burned off due to her training anyway, so it wasn't that much of a deal. Her eyes were on the other items listed down, meaning aside from the cookie dough, she also had to buy rice, bread, noodles, chicken and pork. Not to mention that the soy sauce, milk, orange juice and seasonings were also running out so they were included in the paper. All in all, the list was a bit too long.
After that much contemplation, Yukari gave up, resorting to just returning to the frozen food aisle later once she was done buying the others. After all, the others had to come first, especially the ones for the main meals.

It was finally a nice day outside, but of course she had to spend it indoors doing chores. So here she was, yet again at the grocery store. While it was warm out, Jeanette still wore a layered skirt and long sleeves because she always felt a little cold. Her long white hair was up in a half-ponytail, half-bun fashion. She was pushing a cart towards the dairy and frozen section, staring down at her list for the usual- almond milk, heavy cream, peach juice, and a few vegetables and fruits among with other various things. She stared up to see where she was going, but not enough in time to prevent her cart bumping into another girl's cart. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking to where I was going, I apologize." Jeanette frantically apologized to the other lady. When she looked at the silver-haired girl, it looked like she was also holding a long list.

Yukina decided to just head to the frozen meats section, planning to call in the butcher to get most of the cutting done by that guy. But the bumping of another cart close to her own stopped her in her tracks and the younger Koizumi was about to scream if it wasn't for the apology from the other female. A sigh escaped her lips after the apology was done. "We'll just go to the similar aisles to save time. I guess you also have frozen meat to purchase for meals." On another note, she may end up having another acquaintance that she had met in StarCreek. Two birds in one stone... as she would have guessed. "Do you have the feeling of being indecisive about something? That's me with ice cream at the moment."
That conversation definitely sounded random, but it was better than the silence since she was now in the mood to be talkative. Yukari then wheeled towards her destination, allowing the other to follow her since she wouldn't mind some company.

After repeatedly apologizing to the young lady, Jeanette tried calming herself down and took in a deep breath. The other girl seemed to be speaking with friendliness, and she wasn't sure if someone would be so familiar with a stranger in a grocery store. Jeanette wasn't one to question people too much though, and so she responded with a warm smile.
"Oh, well I wasn't really going with the intention of frozen meat, more like dairy products," she awkwardly said and turned her head towards the aisle they were both in the middle of. Though now as she was thinking about it, she could use a few frozen items to have on hand in case she didn't want to make anything after a long day. Jeanette faced the silver-haired lady again, "Uhm, I'm not sure. Though I can't say I've really had ice cream."

Upon hearing that the lady was actually intending on going to another aisle, plus the fact that she hadn't tasted any ice cream before, that was when Yukari giggled sheepishly. "Ooops. My bad, but yeah, I do also need milk after getting the meat and poultry from this section right there." And after she called out the butcher to cut down the meat and chicken into smaller pieces for easier handling, as the knife was whacking against the board with the protein being trimmed, Yukari was looking at the selections on display, the surface of the glass foggy because of the refrigeration. "Are you definitely having reasons why you haven't tasted ice cream before? I guess it must be due to dairy allergies or you are more prone to tonsillitis, unless you have a much more serious cause behind that." And since they were in StarCreek, the reasons may be certainly far from normal.
Maybe the witch's curse could be related to the reason, but no, she shouldn't overthink. Her eyes remained on the display as the butcher continued on chopping the meat.

The girl's laughter at her comment made Jeanette frown, she knew it was odd, but the judgement still hurt. Gripping the handle of her cart, she fidgeted where she stood and looked to her side where the girl was calling out to the butcher. Every sound of the knife hitting the board echoed through her ears. Distracted though, it took her a moment to realize that the other girl had said something to her.
"What? Uhm, I'm just very prone to being cold," Jeanette started to explain to her, "So, I usually try to avoid things that would make me cold- like ice cream or frozen custard." She couldn't help but think about how the girl had laughed at her for it. "Is it really that strange?"

It still felt weird to Stahl....he was an employee here on some days, others he was a customer. Today, being the latter, he let his gaze sweep through the aisles, a small part of him still in work-mode. Where everything was, where the busiest lines were...he didn't think he'd start learning all this when he first started. There was plenty he didn't know, of course, but it still surprised him. "Focus...you've only got so much time to kill and some of that needs to be used cooking." His thoughts scolded. He let out a sigh, he could just as easily go out to eat, but he was already certain he was starting to gain just a little weight from being in the city for so long. Well, he was sure his time here wasn't as long as that of others, but it was still quite a while compared to his previous lifestyle...even if he rarely cooked back then, being on the move constantly meant he was still in decent shape. Moving towards the produce section, the male glanced amongst the various fruits and vegetables and smiled very slightly to himself. He could grow these himself if he really wanted to...though with his power and the accompanying curse he'd have to be very careful, either that or take chunks of his time away from his other plants to do so. Considering the effort would be for himself, there was little chance in the world that was happening.
