"Cheers," Doyle returned amiably, holding the second glass out for Eliza. Perhaps it was for the better that she didn't take it from him, though he couldn't help but wonder why. Feeling too intangible, even with her pin on? While her reasoning remained a mystery, the effects of the punch revealed itself quite clearly as Eros's poetic words descended into a gibberish not unlike the other Elizabeth's. The new visitor to their little group arrived just about the time he lost the war to hold in a laugh, and watching the kelpie continue his attempts at talking to the nekomata didn't help contain it in the least.

"What he means to say," he cut in finally, managing to regain his composure at last, "is yes, we are. I'm hoping to begin classes soon, myself." Red eyes drifted towards the punch bowl before returning to the nekomata. Another Elizabeth, for all he knew until he introduced himself. "And there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with this punch. I've tried it myself. He just always sounds like that." He held it out in offering to Kamakura, since Eliza hadn't taken it.

"That said," he shifted through to another topic without hesitation, whether the cup was accepted or not, "staying in contact shouldn't be difficult." He nodded to Eliza. "We'll all be attending classes here, after all. It would be stranger still if we didn't run into one another from time to time, wouldn't you say?"

Reluctantly Kamakura took the drink from the shadow man as it was offered to him. The nekomata gave the cup a curious sniff as he peered at the liquid, and at those gathered. It seemed risky to try his luck again...he had already had a run in with the punch bowl. Sighing softly he wore a reluctant smile suddenly as he lifted his glass to them as if honoring the shared action. He felt bad for the kelpie who seemed unable to speak to him properly...it didn't help the one boil was now laughing.

Kamakura fought the grin he felt trying to pull at his lips. "I see...." He mused as he glanced at the little group. A bunch of fresh soon to be students to Halloween? He didn't know that many creeple to begin with, it was surprising he had found a bunch of soon to be year one students. "It is nice to meet you all." He held off just a moment with introducing himself, at least until he had the liquid courage to warm him up to the group of strangers.

Tipping his head back he drank the cup. His eyes widened as he felt heat spread across the entirety of his being. "Oh...my.." Kamakura felt heat spread across his entire being. His pale cheeks flushed a rosy red as he fanned himself. "Is it just me..or is it hot in here..." Kama muttered his tail fur standing on end as he continued to fan himself in a rather dramatic fashion.

I'll get you guys another reply with him introducing himself and answering both questions asked soon i promise

"How tragic" Kinti crooned. "that the lovely lady should be left all by her lonesome. Of course I'll pay you mind, dear sweet. It would be a crime and a shame to do otherwise." Pretty, but with an apparent brain, a rare combination in his estimation. Maybe she would keep him from being bored, and if not he was sure he could find a way to ditch her, or if ignoring worked as she indicated, there was his out if she proved too clingy or vapid after all. Still, he hoped she wouldn't disappoint him. So many people did, it would be a treat to find someone actually worth more than five minutes of his time.

"So, Ekaterina. Whyfore are you at this event? I was coerced, and the person who did it hasn't even shown up! Rude if you ask me, though I suppose not all is lost now that you've found me."

A grin, pouring on the charm. Boy wouldn't it just give those who knew him heart attacks to see him not being, as one of them so eloquently put it, 'a flaming turd'. He still wasn't sure if the 'flaming' part had to do with actual fire or the implication that he was gay. Either way, he didn't really care. He wished he could see their reactions though. "Now I feel so underdressed!" Again though, he didn't care. If he dressed fancy, someone would inevitably ask him who had died and that wasn't funny the first time, let alone the fiftieth. Then he really would have to kill someone, and that led to unfortunate things he would rather avoid.

Her brow raised a little at the comment of 'dear sweet,' as it was a tad more familiar then she was used to with some one barely more then 'utter stranger,' but for the moment she let it pass with no comment. Instead, she gently reclaimed her hand, with a sweet smile at his words. "And you are a lad for whom butter will not melt in your mouth, are you not?" She teased him, in a light but sweet tone, one that made it clear she did not mean any offense, just light hearted flirtation.

The rusalka, however, was not as light hearted as she sounded, internally. She was testing him, to a degree. How far would he take it? If they encountered other ladies, would he turn on the charm for them too, and how would he come across? Yes, she had made a promise to her mothers not to drown anyone tonight, but that did not mean she would not consider it for the future, after all. It was what she existed for.

None of this showed on her face, and she gave nothing away about having internal thoughts on other subjects, though her intelligence glittered in her blue eyes. His question, on the other hand, earned him a pretty smile. "My mothers and I are hoping that I will have the chance to enroll here, at Amityville, in the near future, and this gave me a chance to scope out the grounds, so to speak. I am quite pleased to be here, to be honest. Having an idea of what I am to deal with later will help me." His comment about feeling under dressed made her smile a little. "Well, perhaps next time you will remember a suit more appropriate to the event, so you will not feel over shadowed by us ladies?"

"Eliza the Friendly Ghost"
Doyle really was a great guy - Eliza was perhaps a bit daft.
Finally accepting the second glass.
"Classes are nessasary and all.
But all work and no play have made this spirit fade."
Eliza gives Doyle what she hopes is an encouraging smile.
"Can you recommend some good extra curriculars that YOU have enjoyed that we may partake in...?'
Not meaning to dismiss or ignore the others.
Elizabeth's use of the royal we was meant to be polite yet personal to Doyle for his loyalty for her lack of understanding this whole time.
But was she too late..?
And what of the others??
Perhaps it was the memory of that last glass for suddenly her whole aura was lightly tinted the same color as the punch!

Kinti swished his tail idly and then he grinned. "Oh, I would always be overshadowed by the ladies!" He was quick to assure her. "No matter how I might wing my eyeliner, or pick the best shade of lipstick I can find, I just have not got the hips for a dress." Was he kidding? Only he knew for sure and he probably was not going to tell someone he had only just met. "Besides, I do not own anything fancy enough for an event like this." He gave a shrug. "I will just have to deal with being in the plain clothes in a sea of overly dressed people."

He looked around briefly for the reason he was at this event in the first place, but then focused right back on her. "So, are there any refreshments or something about here?" He asked. "I am a bit on the hungry side, and it would be nice to take care of that, especially if I'm going to be keeping a lovely lady like yourself company." He winked and smirked. For however long it lasted, at least she was easy on the eyes. "So," He continued. "you want to attend this school? Pretty nifty. Maybe I will see you around, then. Well, if I get in myself." That definitely was not going to be a sure fire thing with his track record, but if he got in he supposed it would be of long term benefit and if it did not get in, he could just carry on as he was doing. Either way, he was determined to be content with the outcome.

She arched a brow, highly amused as she listened to Kinti's comments on make up and dresses, her head at a flirtatious tilt. "Mmmm well not every man can pull off a dress, but then not every man needs to. I'm sure you'd look utterly fabulous in a tuxedo, though. You've got the right build for it, after all, and in the right colors you'd be gorgeous. You should give it a try, sometime." She rested her fingers gently on his arm, in the classic pose for being escorted.

"I believe there is a table right over there with both snacks, and beverages. Would you care to escort me to them?" She gave him a sweet smile, and added "I am perishing of thirst." Her brows rose at the comment about the school, and she looked pleased. "Oh I'd love the chance to spend more time with you, Mr. Smooth Talker." She teased lightly.

Visne The Zombie

Visne's mind was at once a vast ocean, one she could get lost in forever, flirting from one disconnected thought to the next. In fact, she had just spent the last almost ten minutes out at sea, her mind a small ship faring dangerous waters that were full of such deep, insightful questions. What was life? She was a zombie, was she actually alive? What was life before she became a zombie? Was there life before? She contemplated these, tho from her appearance you would never know it. Her mouth was agape, a spot of drool making its way to the floor, her eyes were not focused at all, giving her a cross-eyed look. But inside, she was having a deep, psychological journey.

Part of her was still aware or her surroundings, to a degree. She heard Eliza say something that struck what was left of her heart with warm fuzzy feelings, and if part of her was not lost at sea at the time she would have thrown her hands around the girl and cried mucus and other liquids in joy. She saw a new person come up and smile so sweetly she wanted to answer his question with loud gusto. She saw Doyle in his shadowy manor, and the other Elizabeth, the kelpie, say something odd. She wanted to be back in her brain, back in her body, and the girl swam desperately from the sea, madly to regain her other self. It took an effort, and enormous effort, to "come back" to the present, but she did it. Suddenly, as if on fast forward and without any sense of time she was able to do all the things she wanted to do.

The zombie threw her arms around the ghost, not quite realizing that ghosts were not physical, crying and sobbing, "WE WILL KEEP IN TOUCH!" She turned towards the shadow man, Doyle, "IM SO GLAD WE ARE BEST FRIENDS!" She said throwing arms around him as well, still catching up to the present. "YOU TALK WEIRD!" She continued as she threw her arms around the kelpie as well, oblivious to his dislike. "AND NOW YOUR A FRIEND TOO!" Visne continued, hugging the new person, still not exactly aware of their name, but happy to have a friend.

"Indeed, I need to study up more. I haven't been out of my family's home all that long, sadly, so my chances to study them have been limited." He leaned, very carefully, on the table of refreshments, watching the people as they talked and danced, a gently critical expression on his face.

His eyes went up and down, examining the dress a little more thoroughly, considering Lucida's words about the length and the way it flared on the young woman. His fingers tapped against his chin, a serious consideration on the issue they were talking about in his expression. "Mmmm it could still work if she wore different shoes, still." He shrugged a little "But since she didn't you are correct."

He leaned in again, to avoid Shiki overhearing, and murmured "I'll be honest. I had no idea he had issues with meat until now. He's INCREDIBLY protective of his pets, though, and when he found a very injured one, he was broken hearted over it, so it doesn't surprise me. Most canid types I know of, however, are meat eaters. I am, but knowing this, I wont eat it in front of him. I have no idea what all he can eat, though."

When Shiki found the candy, Ane was about to say something in concern, then realized it was a pouch with a Gold Dragon. He reached over to the table, and grabbed another tart in a different flavor to give to Shiki. "Here, Shiki, this might be better? You liked the last one."

"A tuxedo, huh?" Kinti commented, amused as he accepted his position as escort to the food. "I would probably blend right into a tuxedo." Of course, this human-like skin made him slightly less blending than he might otherwise have been. Of course, in his natural form, he wouldn't be wearing clothes either. In his natural form, a lot of things would be different, but instead, he was here with hands and fingers and everything, escorting a woman who was in many ways, reminding him of a cat herself. Obviously, she was not as he would surely know another nekomata, but she had the air of expectation, of knowing she was special and deserving. The fox folk were like that too, but he was sure she wasn't one of those either.

"If you were in this school, it certainly would give me more incentive to attend." He continued, purring in much the same way she had rather than with his natural ability to do so. Real purring was reserved for true pleasure or pain, not simple conversation. "Especially when the acquaintance that talked me into coming to this event entirely ditched me." Probably because they knew Kinti would try to take their face off, and yet here he was managing to get lucky and find someone not totally offensive, vapid or clingy. He could handle her hand on his arm, could handle playing the roguish gentleman. What was that saying? 'Women like a bad boy'? Well he was certainly that.

Gilly flustered with a cheesy grin, glad to have said the right thing...apparently. Do ghouls always respond to such flattery? Hm, he'd have to test that theory out sometime. What an easy charm that would be, just to break the ice when meeting others! "Well, the impression is working then! I mean...is the impression what counts when it comes to being Prom Ruler?" He glanced again at the empty thrones, curious about the school's ranking system for these festivities. He'd assume strength through battle would be appropriate, but that made no sense considering everyone was bedazzled in formal wear. Well, almost everyone.

"Aaaah, no not exactly." Chatting was hardly his cup of tea. Let alone flirting, and with an older ghoul. 'But it's nice to meet ya too." He offered a cheesy grin, before turning away and blowing a quiet breath from his lips. Phew, socializing was exhausting! At least the conversation was interesting to string him along. "Haha, well that makes two of us then! I'll admit I never bothered with research. Or study. Homework....." Sheesh, did he really want to attend an Academy after all?

The awkward silence was aaaaalmost unnoticed, simply due to the loud music and echoing voices. But the tension standing beside him could only be described as a.....magnetic void. Enough to make his tail twitch in warning. Gilly looked up and pounced back in surprise at the stern glare from his acquaintance. "Ah! That's very kind of you then!! If it matters at all, you can call me Guillian. Or Gilly! 8'D Eer....I'll grab that drink for ya right away, Katya!" And with that task in mind, he zipped off. One could easily hear his trek with how much he spouted 'oops' and 'sorry' as he awkwardly weaved between other students. A few seconds later, he returned with two, neon colored beverages in small cups.

"Well then, ghouls first? Pick your poison."

((IC'lly I'm going assume that Kinti showed up during the awkward silence, and so reply to Gilly as 'pre Kinti, then jump it to when Gilly runs off, so I can try to align the conversational timelines))
She blinked a little, then said honestly "I do not know how Prom rulers are chosen, but I would guess perhaps by vote? However, this is my first prom, so I can not say for certain." She gave the short man an elegant shrug, her eyes on him.

His reaction to being called a flatterer earned a small smile, as did his following comments. He was an odd little fellow, but it amused her. When the silence descended, however, she bit her lip in boredom.

She had been about to start moving with her new companion when Gilly came back to action. When he ran off, she gave Kinti an odd look. "I can't tell if he's feeling challenged or his brain just suddenly caught up to reality, but it seems he's going to get me a beverage after all. Did you wish to get yourself one and rejoin me?" Her blue eyes indicated she would prefer he not just disappear completely, in the end.

When Gilly return, she eyed the beverages in the cups, brows high. "Those are... quite colorful. She took one, and took a sip, hoping it would help her feel cooler... She didn't normally wear quite this much... And suddenly found herself giggling.

Her expression was HORRIFIED, and yet she couldn't stop herself. "Wha.. ahaha... Why am I suddenly gi...hehehe... giggling?" Her tone, despite the giggles, was equally horrified.

Quote:
Ekaterina is suffering from "Giggle water - Why is everything suddenly so funny? You can't. Stop. Giggling! At all. "

Shiki was about to pop another candy in his mouth, before he noticed the tart that was being offered to him. "Ohh.. Thanks Ane..." He munched on the tart, ears flicking as he settled himself down on the floor leaning on Ane's leg. He was so distracted by the tart and the candy that the rest of the world could have imploded around him and he would have hardly noticed it. It wasn't that he lost interest in anything but that he was rather.. limited in his ability to concentrate on things around him.

Like a Kitten if something better came along he would latch onto it and be lost to the world, then when he saw the previous thing his mind would close down again.

So he sat there leaning on Ane, munching the tart and playing with the gold dragon.

Entering at the prom nearing the end, Marosa tugged his scarf, adjusting it as he glanced behind him for the umpteenth time just to make sure that Sharra was following him.

It had taken the fey a while to clean up, but he'd kept the beard, and managed to find a decent set of clothes for Sharra in the meantime.

Much to the dismay of his father, of course.

Rolling his head back, he ran his fingers through his hair before realizing it was tied in a loose ponytail, and he made a face of discontent before glancing around to see if there was anyone on the dance floor that he knew.

Ekaterina was not the only one horrified, as Kinti actually recoiled physically. Why was she suddenly making that sound?! Why was she giggling like some vapid tart?!

But then he registered her horror and her comment wondering why she was giggling. His gaze dropped to the drink in her hand. "....Methinks someone thought it would be funny to taint the drinks." He remarked dryly and decided quite sensibly not to get himself a drink. In fact, it was probably safest not to eat anything either.

"Well, that is unfortunate." He reached out to take the drink from her and looked around for somewhere to discreetly dump it. "I am all for a good joke, but not at my expense." Of course, it was not at his, but his companion's. In the end, however, that likely amounted to the same thing, since he was still having to be subjected to that obnoxious sound. Then again, she had no choice in producing it, so it wasn't really her fault.

"Poor heart." He crooned, doing his very best not to twitch at every giggle escaping her. "I wonder how long this will last?" She had only taken a sip, right? Hopefully, it would wear itself out soon, because he definitely was going to be driven up a wall after not too long if it carried on like this for more than a few minutes. Already he was resisting the urge to just walk away, or figure out a way to curse her just to silence her. It was not even her fault, but here he was, grinding his teeth while trying not to be visibly perturbed. Something that was easier said than done with his ears listing back and his tail starting to twitch.
