Profile: Tantoe Kimmie is a lively child. He is, for the most part, a child that is always on. He's curious and active, constantly climbing, running, or exploring. He wants to see the world, and nothing anyone says is going to stop him. If someone tells him to not go somewhere, even if they warn him that the end could be death, he's going to back his bags and go there. He might even be more motivated due to the warning itself.
He also has an interest in knowing about other trolls, making him, at times, rather annoying should someone not want to tell him something. He wants to know who they are, where they come from, and what they're all about. It doesn't really matter if you're grumpy or shy, either. He just wants to know. Should he eventually get on a trolls nerves (which he has frequently done), Tantoe will grow quiet for a few minutes in an honest attempt to stop harassing the other, only to be overcome with another question that just needs be answered. The good thing is once you befriend him, he's a loyal boy to an extent. He won't do anything he perceives as morally wrong if you ask him.
Tantoe is not easily offended or hurt emotionally, as he has a rather loud personality and he's used to other trolls finding him irritating to be around. However, this doesn't mean he's immune, either. He loves his friends dearly, and if someone he is close to betrays him or purposefully maliciously tricks him you'll find that Tantoe will grow abnormally quiet and lethargic for a few days as he tries to process what happened. He is naive at times and quick to forgive, making him an easy target to continuously trick. He likes to believe that people are inherently good, and will usually forgive those around him in a belief that they wouldn't hurt him again. Luckily, his Lusus speaks sense and will carefully look out for him, letting him know when others are using him. He, for the most part, listens to his Lusus.
He's not careful with his words usually. He's a kind troll, for the most part, but he also doesn't always think before speaking. This means thoughts better kept in his head can be blurted out at a speed faster than he can comprehend completely. For instance, he might, accidentally, blurt out that the shirt someone is wearing is not visually appealing to himself, causing hurt feelings.
Should he hurt someone (which is almost always unintentional), Tantoe will do everything in his power to try and make up for what he has done. This means plenty of random presents (not all of them are particularly useful, he just gives things HE likes in hopes they'll also like it), many apologies, and a general clinginess that can make the situation worse. Luckily, again, his Lusus does a good job of warning him when he's too much and he'll eventually give a troll the space they might need.
Unfortunately, Tantoe is a follower. He does what others want, and doesn't often think for himself or take the leading position. He's easily manipulated as long as you pretend to be his friend. He wants to please others, and while he wouldn't purposefully do anything to hurt others, anything not obviously bad to him he'll generally do if asked. For example, while he knows killing a trolls favorite plant would be wrong, what he might not know is placing a plant into direct sunlight could kill it, nor would he question why he's being asked to do such a thing. Should he ever discover he is being used, though, he'll quickly call the person out. Sadly, he'll most likely forgive them if the act wasn't too severe, and history may repeat itself until his Lusus intervenes.
He loves flowers and finds himself obsessed with the meaning behind them and how to care for them. Currently, due to his age he's still struggling with mastering the care for most flowers, but his future goal is to open a large garden for the mass public to visit and enjoy. He also enjoys other hobbies to a smaller degree, including knitting and origami. Unfortunately, he isn't too talented with origami, but he's working on it.
Tantoe is a bit hot-headed when it comes to how people treat others. He generally is under the belief that one should always be kind to another whenever possible. He knows that when people are rude or awful to him that it doesn't feel so great, and so when he sees others doing it to another troll he can become visibly infuriated. Tantoe loses himself in his need for everyone to 'play nice', and as a result tends to contradict himself by how aggressive he can get to those who don't believe in his way of life. He's prone to name calling, throwing smaller things around, and being generally rather disagreeable when he meets those who set him off in such a way.
He does not care about the hemospectrum, believing everyone is worthy of the same amount of rights and affection as others. He completely disregards general cultural beliefs related to blood color and approaches everyone the same. However, he tends to grow very frustrated with people that think differently from him. While he tends to understand that not everyone is going to see things the way he does, those who treat others negatively due to blood color generally infuriates him. That is one of the only things that actually anger him (alongside anyone mistreating his Lusus). He tends to completely avoid anyone who negatively treats people based on blood color. He also doesn't care much for his perceived position on society due to his own blood color, but he does know the perks he gets can help others and tries to use said perks positively.
He is a hard troll to find, generally because he's traveling everywhere he can. Most likely, if you've heard any rumors about a specific location, for example a ghost haunting a building or talk of thugs around a certain location, he's there. Stay tuned to your local gossip, as most likely he's around it in some way. Tantoe is drawn to danger, so he seeks it out if he hears wind of it. He's not too sure why, it's just fun. Despite what his Lusus says.
His Lusus, named SlimeMama, is a four story tall slime cat beast (who can shrink in size at will). She is transparent, lacking any internal organs to speak of. She drips wherever she goes, and while her slime tends to dissipate within a few minutes of leaving her it can still be rather messy. As a result, she tends to stay put when around him and tries to only move when she needs to. She cares deeply for Tantoe but shows a general disregard for his friends and anyone he brings around her. She will do anything she can to protect and nourish him, but will turn a blind eye to anything not related to Tantoe. She speaks in very basic and clipped responses, and often in a whisper. She tends to warn Tantoe when his behavior has crossed a line or when he has endangered others around him. She's given up on warning him about his own safety, as she's learned he happily will risk himself no matter what she says. He, for the most part, respects and listens to her except for when his own safety is brought up.
Strengths:
- Helpful: He wants to assist everyone at all times! While this can be aggravating to certain personalities, typically he can be very useful. Need help with something right away? Ask him, he'll most likely drop everything he's doing to assist, or quickly finish his current activity to run over. This can serve to hurt him if he's stuck between doing something for himself and something for another troll. He'll always pick the other persons task, even if what he was doing for himself was incredibly important.
Loyal: Once you befriend him (which is pretty easy to do) he'll do what he can to stay loyal to you. He won't speak poorly of you and he'll be good backup if something bad was about to happen. He has your back, even if the friendship is one-sided. He's good support when you need it, and generally someone you want on your side due to his helpfulness and faith in you.
Optimistic: When things get rough and all seems forever lost, Tantoe will find a way to view it optimistically. Whether by sheer will or natural, Tantoe perceives the world as positively as he can, and he's very willing to share his opinions with others. If you need a ray of sunshine or something positive to look on, go to him.
Flaws:
- Easily Manipulated: Unfortunately, his loyal trait also comes with a flat. While he sticks to his morals, a friend can trick him into doing something he normally wouldn't with the right words. He is the type to blindly believe in his friends and not question what they ask him as long as it isn't obviously in the wrong. Masking intentions is very easy with him. Worst, he also will forgive easily, often leading him into more chances to be manipulated.
Careless: Tantoe does not care much for his own body or self, causing him to end up in bad situations. His own safety is something he completely disregards, although he isn't sure why. It isn't as if he thinks he isn't worth safety or directly wants to get hurt, he just completely disregards if he might. As a result, he's prone to many injuries and negative outcomes. To a lesser degree, he also can not think before doing something, resulting in him unintentionally causing problems.
Forgetful: While he wants nothing more than to be as useful as possible, he is a forgetful troll and tends to forget things told to him if a significant period of time has passed. This is most likely due to how fast he thinks and much he does. There's just too much to remember! He forgets names, dates, and requests easily if it's been at least a day before he intentionally learned the information. While he does try and take precautions to eventually memorize something (such as repeat the information or write it down somewhere), sometimes nothing he can do will help. Everything is not all lost, though! Remind him enough times and he'll eventually hold onto the information.
Weapon: Shrub sheers. They may not be practical, but they're sharp enough to do the job.
Appearance: Tantoe is on the smaller side of trolls. He's a slim boy. A good reference of his entire appearance is below (the colorist can decide clothing colors, but he likes florals and pastels!):

He has three horns on each side of his head, like flower petals!
Home: He lives in Four Fronds, in a hive shaped like a flower bud. He wants it to be known, he does not approve of this big game hunting nonsense. The inside of his hive lacks any windows, but the top of the hive is open. On the outside is a garden in the shape of spirals, each level has different flowers that need different amounts of care and light. Right now, his Lusus does most of the caring for the flowers outside, as he's still small and learning. The inside too has a spiral staircase, with numerous plants scattered on said staircase, which is very dangerous. He does not care.
He tends to litter his home with plants, toys, yarn, and paper. He does not know what cleaning is, and unfortunately the space is not quite big enough for SlimeMama to do anything but lay still in horror as her child destroys his home. It's safe to say she sleeps outside. While she could shrink down, SlimeMama prefers to stay in her maximum size around the hive to protect him as he rests.
Lusus: His Lusus is a slime cat beast who is four stories tall named SlimeMama. However, to keep up with her charge, SlimeCat is able to shrink herself to any size she wishes, although the process requires her to expel a lot of slime! Gross! Due to her tendency to drip everywhere (the slime dissipates within a minute of leaving her body), she tends to stay completely still near Tantoe when she can. The two get along very well, however she tends to irritate him by her disapproval of his messy hive and attempts to get him to eat properly. She, for the most part, tries to keep him on the right track. While she's learned to stop trying to stop him from endangering himself, she cleans up the messes he makes and will actively try and warn him when he's crossed lines or needs to apologize for something.
She defends him by literally consuming anything that will actively maim him. This means stuffing them in her slime, which is a disgusting event. She is not above grabbing trolls harassing him, or consuming monsters. Eventually, she'll spit out trolls, but anything else will slowly melt inside her.
