Tyanna does. She believes in a lot of things, prone to flights of fancy, over-imaginative streaks, and ritualistic dedication to superstition. She likes to imagine her wings are proof she's special, that in her blood is the magic of pixies -- fantastical beings from stories known to help others fly with just a touch of magic dust. Tya believes in the power of True Names almost obsessively, that if she knows a troll's name she has some power over them, and has a sense when people are lying to her about their identity. She is incredibly superstitious, and believes that bad luck and impurity will come to those who step in rings of mushrooms, move stones in fields or enter the haunted copses of trees in Four Fronds where she lives, among other things.
In reality, her sense for liars is just her perceptive nature. She has a knack for reading non-verbal cues, and likes to use that "second-sense" to determine what a troll really wants from her, and what she could get out of them. She is not fond of liars, not being one to lie herself, though she is known to omit information, twist words, or keep her meaning vague. She can't bring herself to outwardly deceive another troll, feeling that her word is her bond. Tya likes to make deals, considering herself a helpful sort. She is a meddlesome girl, wanting to insert herself into other troll's stories, her curiosity always prodding her to seek others. Her ambiguous sense of morality means she won't oppose to helping a criminal, and then turning around to help the hunter chasing them the next moment so long as it doesn't break her deal or personal rules she sets for herself.
She's a dramatic sort of troll, who purposefully tries to cultivate an air of mystery around herself. Tya wants to be the mysterious troll in the woods, a story lusii tell wrigglers to keep them in their 'coon, the person wayward trolls go to when they're desperate. Of course, as a child, it's just fantasy, but she thinks if she works hard she can be the in the faerie tale of her dreams. In her spare time, Tya weaves tapestries and cloth, making much of her own clothing. She likes to tell stories, especially faerie tales (of course), and often uses them as the basis of her tapestries. Tyanna also tries her hand at potions, always having something strange boiling in her nutritionblock to help cure her lusus' illness. She's very rough at it now, and finds she often brews nothing more potent than a soup, but thinks there might be magic within it! She also makes her own charms, wards and runes to keep the bad luck and curses away from her hive, knowing that corruption is everywhere and easy to fall prey to.
Tya doesn't have very strong opinions on the hemospectrum, as she's fairly middle of the road and was raised deep in the woods where she does not encounter much. She believes all trolls, regardless of their blood color, have strengths and weaknesses that can be manipulated and exploited if you know where to look. She's indifferent to the different factions, and has no loyalties to either royalists, rebels or lightseekers.
Strengths: Observant - Tyanna has learned to be on the look out for danger her whole life, and her lusus says there is beauty in quiet observance. Tya uses her perceptive nature and skills to tell when someone is lying to her, and what they really want.
Persuasive - Tya is a charming sort of troll, fairly eloquent even as a child, and tries to use it to her advantage. If words don't get what she wants, she'll definitely try whatever tactics are necessary to get her desired outcome! Especially if it can benefit her long-term.
Opportunistic - She knows when it is worth making an enemy and when it is worth making an ally, what fights are easy to win and what deals will pay strong dividends in her favor. Using her "helpful" nature, Tya tries to take the path that will most benefit her.
Flaws: Meddlesome - Tya cannot mind her own business. Having a somewhat sheltered upbringing in Four Fronds, she's intrigued by novelty and wants to be a part of everything. She will insert herself into other people's arguments and fights without a thought, and has no qualms about asking very personal questions.
Superstitious - Tyanna's adherence to her superstitions and rituals makes her have difficulties in being flexible. She has an obsessive desire to perform all of her curse-breaking and purity-protecting charms and spells to protect herself, and gets very uncomfortable when she sees other doing things that will bring them what she sees as "bad luck".
Dramatic - She can come off as incredibly dramatic in her love of flourishes, and her commitment to her "brand" of mysterious faerie tale creature, even when it would be perhaps a bit more prudent to be more down to earth. Everything is a story, and she wants drama, romance and action in it!
Weapon: She uses swords when in battle. Tya's also known for throwing special stardust at her enemies. Her ideal sword is one not made of metal, but as a child her options are limited when her lusus avoids iron! She does have a wooden fencing sword too, for non-lethal sparring.
Appearance: This sure is a ref!. Tya has long hair worn in a "half up" style. She wears a long, simple medieval style dress with her blood color in the sleeve and underskirt. She has horns like her symbol with a sharp crook, and a pair of teal dragonfly wings (with whatever pattern you think looks nice). She has thick lips and long, vampire like fangs. She wears a circlet with a diamond-shaped gemstone.
Home: She lives deep in the forest of Four Fronds, in a quaint little hive. It looks idyllic and wildflowers grow all around it. Her hive is full of rustic and homemade equipment because Mamalthea cannot handle most metals, and keeps her charge far from technology.
Lusus: A unicorn. More like a classic unicorn, in that she has a goat beard and cloven hooves, a lion's tail, and of course, the long, spiraling horn. She has a lithe figure, is rather large (taller than a normal horse, easily over 25 hands) and has an imposing stance. She goes by Mamalthea, but Tya knows that is not her True name. Her True name is a secret between them, never to be revealed.
Mamalthea is weak to iron, like an allergy that makes her very ill and weak. Because of this, she has refused her charge to come anywhere near it, and making their home deep in the woods, far from metal and technology. She has a strong investment in the Purity of things, from her child to their world around them, and pushes Tya to cleanse herself regularly, both physically and spiritually. She believes that Purity is a trait that has to do with one's spirit and energy, and being Cursed will make one impure and lead them to ruin.
Tyanna is trying to cure her lusus' weakness to iron so they could live more freely, so she doesn't have to carefully avoid certain areas and fear that her lusus will get sick and die if she came in contact with it. She loves and adores her lusus, and gets many of her rituals from Mamalthea's wisdom and spells against curses and things that will make her Impure.
Power: Agility Style B - Using her swift wings, Tya is able to attack twice on her turn, either two different targets once, or one target twice, with improved accuracy.
