[PRP] Catching Fireflies (Autumn/Eyzaak)

Tonight was going to be great. Eyzaak was determined to make good use of his time, including tracking down one of his best pals. The winged yellowblood was someone he could always count to keep him on his toes. Autumn was an odd gal, but the blueblood child wouldn’t trade the girl in for another troll. Not that he’d ever tell her that, he could just imagine the gross smug smile she’d wear as he complimented her. The blueblood even rolled his eyes at the thought.

That aside the real reason for tracking her down was to replenish extra light sources. Fireflies made wonderful lamps when collected. Which meant finding new fireflies to take their place was in order when a batch would die off naturally. However, collecting them alone was not only painstaking, but it was boring.

That wouldn't be an issue, not tonight anyway with any luck. Carrying a bag with empty jars, and sandwiches he’d prepared for them the small boy bolted through the village on his way to his friend’s hive. Unlike his watchtower hive, Autumn lived near a bridge that lead into the main area. The shack was higher off the ground, connected by bridges that lead to her front door. Rushing to it, the boy panted slightly as he glanced back the way he had come. His lusus had been hot on his heels, rushing on all fours after Eyzaak as he sprinted. His fingers curled into the straps of his bag as if it would help him go faster.

Once Sundry had caught up, Eyzaak exhaled in a loud dramatic fashion. Banging on her front door Eyzaak shifted from one foot to the next. “Yo Flutters!! You inside?!” He demanded, banging his gloved hand on her door again to make sure he had her utmost attention.
