Opposite ends of the spectrum, but they sure do have a lot in common!

Catching up with a friend always put a special pep to Elidae's usual perky self, and this night was no exception, perhaps even a more special occasion. It was only a casual shopping trip with lunch afterwards, but the company the yellowblood had with her at the moment was someone she hadn't seen in a while- and were practically royalty. Lorata Gorgos, a seadweller she met during the wild ride that was Awassi's mansion and proceeded to develop a quick kinship. The last time she saw the purpleblood, she put a bobblehead of her best friend in her possession, seeing the girl light up. It was adorable.

Flitting between dresses on a rack in the middle of a boutique in Civisect, Elidae spent quite a bit of time glancing between the pretty dresses and the pretty seadweller, making small talk here and there. The shop was a little... expensive for Elidae... but that didn't mean she couldn't look, right? Pulling a little black dress apart from the others, she admired the beautiful work gone into it and fantasied briefly about wearing it to that new dayclub she heard about. Flicking up the price tag, however, reminded her of where she was. Yikes was the only thing that could be read off her face as she gently put the dress back on the rack. She opted to find Lorata a dress instead.

It was confusing for the girl, however, as she really liked Lorata and wanted to impress and serve her, but there were a few... curiosities on Elidae's thinkpan that seemed to never leave, and thus needed to be addressed, and soon. But somehow, Elidae would need to bring it up.. casually. Didn't want to come off a little strong with her intentions. After all, this was simply just an outing between two friends, two friends with another common friend, two friends with another common friend they both liked very much. Casual, Elidae thought.

"Sssssooooooooooo... I've been meaning to ask! How'd you meet Kursha?"

Or not. As if doing the opposite, the yellowblood got down to business. Casual, curious business. Her tone rang positively, and her intentions were sincere... for the most part. Lorata's admiration for Kursha didn't bother Elidae much, but she did notice they seemed to have a close friendship. And, if she could recall, at Awassi's mansion, the purpleblood seemed pleased to see him in the main block as well. While she could see anyone could want the companionship of the greenblooded gunman, Lorata was nearly perfect in every way. Jealousy? No... no...
    maybe a little.

Without skipping a beat, Elidae tried to soften up the sudden topic. "What do you think of this one? For you?" She chirped, pulling a fluffy casual dress from the rack to show in a hurry. Classy with a little bit of sparkle, the hints of purple in the seams seemed to be right up the purpleblood's alley.

Although she'd seen Elidae at least twice since that horrible night in Awassi'a mansion, somehow they'd never really been able to spend time together for one reason or another, usually because the yellowblood had been at work on something. To say Lorata was glad to fix that was an understatement, because she had been honestly beside herself with happiness ever since they'd planned the shopping trip. Especially now that, after her growth spurt, they were back on more level grounds again.

The boutique they were in was one of her favorites and their chatting while they looked through the racks was delightful, although Lorata wasn't quite sure why Elidae kept making those little faces and putting dresses back. As the yellowblood turned to look at more further down, the seadweller picked up the tag of one she had left behind and tried to see what the deal was. When nothing in particular stood out as the least bit problematic, she shrugged and handed the dress off to her lusus. MeduMa, trailing behind them, loomed above the clothes racks, but something about one of her tentacles being used to hold dresses made it a little less intimidating.

"Hm?" Lorata blinked, and then lifted a hand to her mouth to cover a little giggle. "That's what I've been meaning to ask you!" The sudden skip back to a dress gave her pause again. "Ohhh, that's gorgeous!" She reached out to touch it with a pleased hum, but not even pretty dresses could distract her from the topic of her favorite hero for long.

"Do you remember when the Captain lead that raid against those awful rebels and mutants and things?" Belatedly, she tagged on a "Kursha, I mean." Even if calling him by name just felt weird, she couldn't remember if Elidae knew she called him Captain. "Well, after they got into the swamp, I was on his team to chase them down! And oh my glub, you should have seen him! He saved my life three times!" She wasn't terribly fond of remembering what all had happened in that terrible swamp, but there was no denying the Captain had been the best.

"He nearly died after a rebel swamp monster came, but luckily I was there to help out." Now that she was trying to be more heroic herself, it only felt right to point out she'd done her part to save her hero too. "Ahh, but what about you?"
