Burning Icewolf HomacXross7 Burning Icewolf *Aidar stops suddenly as the sound of chittering and flapping approaches him. Aidar catches the intruders scent and recognizes it as Terrance, his little black bat companion. In the heat of battle earlier, he had completely forgot that he was even with him. The little bat hanging back in the trees, all this time. Now that he was certain that there would not be any fighting for some time, he had decided it was once again safe around Aidar and flew close to him. Aidar sits on all fours and gives a pleased whine, wagging his tail as the little bat then lands on his right shoulder and chitters into his ear.at Aidar's non verbal instructions, the bat then crawls to the top of his head just in front of his ears, which Aider lays flat. Still on all fours, Aidar the sets off again, this time at a faster pace and using Terrance and his acute sense of sonar, the way a blind man uses a seeing-eye dog; quickly finds his way to Shinryu.* *Shinryu has spent the majority of the time tendig and operationg on the fatal and other seriously wounded. After wat seemed like hours he stops for a break drinking some teanand spots Burning Icewolf approaching* *Aidar follows his nose right to Shiruy's feet, where he stop and raises his head, showing his to be shut.* "Hi, there." *He says.* "Ah mus look ridiculous..." |

*Aidar groans, not quite understanding what Shinryu meant by "lustful urges" or his metion of frustrated Zurg males. From what he can tell about the Zurg, most of them seem to be genderless drones and follow a hive structure with only a queen and her daughters being the only females in the whole population; much like bees or ants... Thinking back on this, Aidar begins to suspect that perhaps Flarn actually doesn't intend to kill the Princess... After all if she is the last female Zurg alive, then if he killed her, he would be dooming his own race to extinction... Thinking on this, Aidar quickly also come to the conclusion that there must be be at least one male among the Zurg population... After all... Even the queen bee needs to be fertilized in order to produce more drones...
Drones... Aidar suddenly remembers that among bees "drone" is for some odd reason used to refer to an actual male bee, while the real drones are simply called "workers"... Like bees, If the Zurg have females, then they must have males as well. Since there is always distinguishable differences between the two genders, as well as the genderless, among ants and bees, Aidar reasons that it must be the same with the Zurg... With the females being thin and tall, like Nili, instead of short and pot-bellied like the Drones... The male of the species must also be different...*

*Aidar thinks to himself, the realization going off in his head like an atomic explosion, causing his eyes to open so wide that for a instant, they seem to almost bulge out of their sockets, before he quickly shuts them one again. making a mental note that he'll have to share this new theory with Kai, he returns his attention to the task at hand.*

*And with those words, Aidar trots into the tent, pushing the flaps aside with his nose. As soon as he enters, a deep musky smell that he did not expect hits nose.
"This could be a problem..."
*Aidar thinks to himself. He then plugs his nose with solid ice and resorts to breathing through his mouth, panting heavily and drooling with his sharp fangs exposed to where he now looks like a starved predator... a truly frightening sight. having dealt with the small, Aidar now looks a round with shut eyes as he uses Terrance to scan the inside of the tent, taking in the entire scene.*
"I should have stripped naked, first... I would have been fun to pretend to be just some animal that wandered in... They probably wouldn't have even known the difference.... naaa, my red scalp would just give me away... Oh well." |
