Today is Monday, September 26. The rain began early this morning and has continued to fall steadily since then, despite the utter lack of clouds. Multiple reports of strange, gelatinous material on the beaches has led to theorizing about a jellyfish die-off in Ashdown Bay. There has been no conclusive results to the testing upon the material.

Today is Friday, September 30. The rain has continued to fall, despite repeated insistence by known meteorologists that there is no reason for it to be raining. Flash flood warnings have gone up around the area.

No explanation has yet been found for the gelatinous material on the beaches. The jellyfish population seems stable. The material has begun to spread to sidewalks.

Today at noon, there was a severe earthquake which lasted for several minutes. Seismologists are confused, as nothing registered on the Richter scale and Ashdown is far from any fault line. In addition, no structural damage was caused, leading many outside Ashdown to doubt that the earthquake occurred.

Today is Monday, October 3rd.

The sun continues to shine as the rain continues to fall. Gardeners in the area mourn their fall roses as plant rot begins to set in.

Further speculation on the source of the gelatinous material has been suspended in order to investigate why the ocean seems to have turned a deep blue rather than the emerald green we all know and love.

There have been several tremors since the earthquake on Friday.

The Shore House, known for its long history with the town, has completely disappeared. Theories range from a sinkhole to extraterrestrial abduction. The Shore Estate has not issued a statement on the topic.

Today is Friday, October 7th.

The rain has stopped, save for a few furious storm showers. Damages resulting from liquefaction and flooding are currently estimated to be in the hundred thousands.

The ocean's color has darkened further to a strange blue-violet. Night fishermen and the coast guard report seeing strange lights on the water.

Today is Friday, October 14th.

Marine biologists have flocked to the area to investigate the waters of the bay, which are now pitch-black. The usually gray-green waters are opaque even to high-powered lenses.

The torrential downpour of late September has not returned. However, the storm drains themselves appear to be flooding with black water.

A strange chasm seems to have opened in Waite State Forest. Rangers urge caution and request civilians to remain far away from the site.
