Avvisi had listened to her parental units gossip, squabble, and preform petty tricks on each-other her entire life. She has learned to use this to her advantage, sometimes pitting bad feelings against each other, playing her parents for her own whims; *Sniff* "Mii! Ray said i couldn't go!" *sniff* -Avvisi said knowing that Mii had recently been burned by her sister, Ray- -In a desire to get back at her sister, Mii then let the troll go and do whatever Ray had said she could not- "Take that sister! I am such a better parent!- Living like this, Avvisi treats trolls in a similar manner. She will play at being being friends in order to learn secrets, get what she wants, or simply make another troll think highly of her.
Avvisi likes to toe the line between truth and lies, sometimes stretching a truth to its limits. Mainly this is to attract readers. She has been known to rely on "click-bate" esk titles at times to get more readers. She knows to stay on the side of power tho. Saying something stupid about the queen would not be a good idea. Avvisi loves making her interviewee feel like she is their friend, and lulling them into a false sense of security. There is power in truth tho, and althought she may not publish the truth, she will go to quite lengths to get those truths.
Its knowing the truth that lets one lie exceptionally well, all good lies are truths just tweaked a bit. Avvisi believes in hard facts and evidence. She keeps a camera, voice recorder, and a notebook on her at all times, just so she can capture those elusive facts, and uses these facts as bargaining chips when pushed to her last resort.
Avvisi knows when she is telling the truth, but she also believes that the truth is different for each and every troll. Thus its all the more important to keep a record of each person's view on the matter. Events can be quite different according to one troll as apposed to another, and part of the challenge is collecting all the facts to make a clear picture.
Avvisi loves riling up others, especially since it often gets her a good seat in the stands. Being pretty smack in the middle between highbloods and lowbloods, Avvisi has an excellent spot to get a good look at all the juicy stuff, and boy does she collect it. She loves manipulating others into thinking she is better than she is, weather that be by manipulating a fact or showing only half the story. The hemospectrum plays a big part in this. No one really cares if a lowblood did something scandalous, but the highbloods? Oh that could destroy their reputation, and she makes sure they know it. She knows she will never be as powerful as a purpleblood or a seadweller, which is why she is so determined to collect dirt on them. Avvisi respects the highbloods, but she also knows that they dont always tell the truth. Lowbloods get ignored so much, and thus they have all the good info. Avvisi is keen to butter up both highbloods and lowbloods, you never know what kind of secrets you can get out of them.
Strengths:
Opportunistic:
- Avvisi loves exploiting chances offered by immediate circumstances, and will do so without reference to a general plan or moral principle. If a good opportunity comes, this tealblood will jump at the chance, no matter what or who is put at risk for it. She has managed to climb to great heights because of this, the envy of all the other trolls (so she hopes)
Attention to Detail:
- Avvisi knows that its the details that really make a story realistic. She loves tracking down details, taking pictures, and getting evidence. Also, details do help when Avvisi wants to make an informed observation.
Hard-Worker:
- You know what gets a troll far? Hard work! Want a promotion? Make friends with that one troll? Become the best glob dam journalist on Alternia? Hard Work!! Avvisi digs in, and once she gets going, there is no stopping her. Avvisi sets a goal and strives to accomplish it. She hates being derailed or distracted.
Flaws:
Corrupt:
- Avvisi likes a good story, even if that story is not exactly 100% true. If she needs to stretch the truth a little to give her work that extra pzazz, she will, whole heartily. Details don't always lead to the truth, they can be used to make the story more interesting, all depends on what your going for.
Invasive:
- Avvisi knows that you know something, you just need help getting it out, right? She loves asking questions, and believes that no question is off limits. For her quest of the truth, or at least something flashy, she knows no bounds, personal, physical or otherwise.
Vain:
- Avvisi is very invested in her appearance and public image. If an action would put the tealblood in a better light, she will jump at the chance. If something or someone taints her image she will lash out at them, try to distance herself from such taint. Her image is everything to her, and she hates it when something gets in the way.
Weapon: Javelin
Appearance: Pens often get caught and lost in Avvisi's thick jungle of hair. But on the bright side if she needed a pen, there was usually one hiding up there for her. Being a fairly small child, Avvisi gets cold easily, and wears her fur boots and warm parka on almost all occasions. She carries around a pair aviator sunglasses, just in case she needs to look super cool.
Home: What is the most interesting and happening place? Well New Hemisect City of course! Cvisect has more turmoil, but bigger is better. Its a great place, full of political intrigue, hemospectrum class wars, and all sorts of juicy stuff. Avvisi owns a fairly nice apartment, with a seaside view, conveniently located right by her place of employment; the "New Hemisect City Chronicles". This journalistic headquarters is more of Avvisi's home than her own hive. As she is just a child, she had taken an internship at the place. She spends more time than she would like getting coffee and running errands, but its all okay. This is how she is gonna get somewhere!
Lusus: Avvisi is taken care of by 3 geese. The three are "triplets" and share a collective conscious, more or less. They share knowledge, but personality wise, are 3 very different individuals. They all share the white plumage, parental need to protect, and ability to communicate with Avvisi. The first, Soh, is an upstanding citizen lusus, preferring fancy glasses of fermented beverage, watching scandalous dramas on the television, and arguing with her siblings. Second, we have Ray, an artist of sorts. She thrives in the pompous, dramatic world that is the "art" community. Art in Alternia is thought of as rather supercilious, making it an excellent excuse to pretend to be doing something while really just acting superior and better than others. Finally, the last of the trio, Mii, values knowledge and facts above all else, if not mainly so she can correct anyone, anywhere, on the spot. Oh you just said this feels like the hottest night of the sweep? Well excuse me but about 43 days ago it was at least 3 degrees warmer than today, tch.
These three bird brains take Avvisi with them on their outings, but rarely will you see more than one of these birds at a time. Their gaggle of gripes mean they prefer to keep as far away from each other as possible, only bothering to live in the save hive for their dear sweet Avvisi. Its gotten to the point where they have a scheduled regarding the tealblood troll. Each bird gets two days of the week, leaving one for Avvisi to have to herself.
