For those new to plotting here's an idea on how to start plotting;

If you do not know the person: Hi, I am insert your user name here I own Insert character name(s) here I was wondering If we could plot.

note* they almost always say yes, if they say no they are usually still getting grips on the rp or want to get to know you better (hello, new people can seem a bit intimidating)

If yes then stat which of yours and their characters you want to plot with

ex: I was wondering if we could have Arista and Bob know each other from childhood because it would be fun to have a childhood friend and they seem to have a lot in common. (examples always sound cheesy sorry.)

If you know them: basically the same thing without interdiction but you need to remember just because even if your best of friends you cannot ty and control their characters

Ex:
Wrong: Hey Harriet, Alak'i and Arista are gonna be dating now lets discuss the date their having in the park.
Right: Hey Harriet, I was wondering if Alak'i and Arista could start dating because their super cute together, maybe they could go on a date in the park.

Yes it is. Now say I am the person who you sent it to and I asked
"Cool. I own Arista as you probably know, she is king, bubbly, loves to go on adventures but wants to respect her fathers wishes. What are your characters like?"
You don't want to overwhelm people right away so give key pints to each character like I did for Arista so they get a feel of them then they may ask for more or may start plotting. Remember they may have ideas too and just because you don't like the idea doesn't mean just no, try giving another suggestions like.
"I think it would be fun if they were family" You may not like t so instead suggest something else "hmm I am not sure if I want to but they could be best friends."

It sounds good but they may like to know more about their personalities. But you can't say Adam is strikingly handsome because that's telling people what to think of him, you can say he thinks he is strikingly handsome. For example I have a character in another guild who unless the person is fit there ugly to him.

Alright, I'm going to give this a try since I'm not quite sure a good place to start might be.

I recently made a family of 3 OC that were approved.
I was told I could start virtually anywhere, but I am unsure where to start.

Amelia Melusine is 15,
and she'll be going to a public school for the first time.
She is introverted and mostly carefree,
but when she does get stressed her powers can get a bit out of hand.
She inherited water-based magic from her mom.
(But it will freeze when she is stressed or frightened)
Based off her age, I think she'll be enrolling as a sophomore at Triton High School.

Emily Melusine is 35,
she is a witch that can use water magic to do her bidding if she needs to.
She has had years of practice and used to use magic for her work that sent her to France.
mily is very protective of her family and tries to be hospitable towards any guests that come to her family's secluded home.
I'm thinking since Amelia will be going to public school,
Emily could get a job at the school too.

James Melusine is 38, he is also a merman.
He was formerly a guard for royal mermaid nobility and was sent to scout the coast of France where he met Emily.
They fell in love and had Amelia.
Serving royals and nobility has left his family fairy well-off.
(but not millionaires or anything).
If Amelia and Emily are gone from the house a lot,
he might need a job or hobby to preoccupy him while they are at work/school.
