They say if you take a walk just after midnight on a foggy night, you can walk into an alternate universe.

They say the hot park ranger's been seen talking to a dark lady.

They say there's strange things on the little side-streets near the beach. Better stay away.

They say that there's a big storm comin'.

It's now been one month since the first disappearance of three Ashdown Central High School students. The police department has declared them runaways, but some know differently...

Adoelle "Doe" Nashua disappeared first. She is eighteen and had previously been caught on public property after dusk with her two friends, who both later disappeared. A bright student, she had secured a native-peoples scholarship offer to Rider-Waite.
Michael Mitchell disappeared second. He was two weeks short of his eighteenth birthday. Known as a strange boy and a poor student who spent more time listening to music than doing his homework. Nevertheless, he often accompanied Doe to audit classes at Rider-Waite.
Heliodora Winters, called Lea, was the final disappearance. A voracious reader of British fantasy novels, she was known to overreact to things. She was last seen at Bibliophile, asking after local history books. She left with a book of Aquinnah Wampanoag mythology that was not found among her possessions during a cursory search.

The families have offered a reward for information leading to their safe return. They profess that they are sure their children are safe, secure, and together, and only want to know that the children are alright.

BREAKING NEWS!!

There is now a fourth missing person. Zac Bantock, a first-year student at Rider-Waite, was last seen two nights ago at the beach. He was in the company of a dark lady.

The police urge caution in these troubled times. Anyone with information as to the location of the missing teenagers should call the Ashdown anonymous tip line at 212-331-4421.

BREAKING NEWS!!

There is now a fifth missing person. Jeremiah Mercer, a detective with the Ashdown police force and long-time staple down at the station, has failed to report in for work for the past two days. As he was in charge of the missing teens' case, this disappearance is considered related.

The police urge caution in these troubled times. Anyone with information as to the location of the missing townspeople should call the Ashdown anonymous tip line at 212-331-4421.

A thick fog has rolled in on the nor'easter. Visibility is fifty feet in any given direction.

The fog, which was predicted to burn off before noon, has persisted. Visibility is fifty feet, and the police department urges all residents to remain calm and cautious.

The fog has not receded. In fact, it's grown thicker. Visibility is thirty feet, and the speed limit throughout the town has been lowered to 30 miles per hour. The police department, again, urges all residents to remain calm and to use caution while traveling. Residents in need of assistance should call the department at 212-331-4322.

The police department has issued a driving ban to all residents within the Ashdown area, as the fog has thickened further and street lights and signage are no longer visible from vehicles.

MISSING PERSONS UPDATE!

In the aftermath of the thick fog that blanketed Ashdown for several days two of the missing people have been found! Zac Bantock and Jeremiah Mercer were found late in the evening! An official statement reveals that Mister Bantock went to Waite State Park and became lost. Detective Lieutenant Jeremiah Mercer received information about Bantock's location and proceeded to follow up right as the heavy fog descended ultimately finding Bantock and getting lost as well.

The two finally managed to make their way out of the forest once the fog cleared and are now back home safe and sound! They are no longer considered part of the previous missing persons case.

MISSING PERSONS UPDATE!

The apartment of Autumn Smith has been found empty, with the owner having assumedly been kidnapped. A butcher's knife was driven into the wall, and acrylic nails- assumedly Autumn's- popped around with wood and other materials attached. Police are presently suspecting a kidnapping, with Autumn having gone unwillingly.

TOWN BULLETIN
FIRST FRIDAY ASHDOWN


The First Friday of June Ashdown will be a hosting a First Friday event!! Flyers are appearing in businesses, ads in the paper, posters on telephone poles and college bulletin boards.

The town's city center, in cooperation with Rider-Waite's art department, will host the open form Art Event. Galleries, Salons and shops will open their doors to the public for perusal of their art, as well as wine and cheese.

Shops and restaurants will offer free samples, street performers will be out in force, and amateur artists, artisans, and crafters are welcome to reserve a patch of sidewalk to set up a blanket or table and sell their own works unmolested.

Stay tuned for more information. Activity will be rewarded! Event starts June 4th!

have you heard?...

The police have released a statement in regards to the sudden violence at the Rider-Waite Job Fair in the Blackfriars Library. Most of the violence came from a drug fueled assailant who may have been in the company of accomplices and were part of a college club. Mentions of animal people and a contagion on site were dismissed as nothing more than panic and rumor, as a number of injuries were caused in the ensuing chaos at the well attended event. The main assailant, Edward Grey, was killed at the scene. His group, of unknown number, have not all been identified or found.

All fishing and boating expeditions are suspended until a complete trawling of the bay has been completed.
