MD couldn’t help the grin that ultimately bloomed across his face at Scarlett’s witty retort. Even he had to give credit where it was due and that was a quality play on words if he’d ever heard one. He chuckled and returned her compliment with a wink and a pistol point. "You are much too kind, madam," he teased in return, grin simmering down as he chuckled at the thought.
MD was caught off guard by the change in her tone, expression contorting a bit in response. He ran a hand back through his hair, silently mulling over her words with a sort of stern expression. He wasn’t bothered by her sudden expression of belief in what up until that moment, had sounded like a clever story, but the remarks concerning a ‘bottle’. The memory of the whole situation resurfaced, and he looked immediately uncertain at the demand. "Not sure that’s safe," he commented, dropping his hand back down to his side, gaze serious in that remark. He noted the demand in her tone too, seeming to consider for a moment. Honestly, he looked firm in his stance; the last thing he wanted was to pull that thing out and then have that Hoopa break free too. It’d be just his luck after all.
"Maybe…. Later. Once we’re out of this place," if anything he did not want to be in a confined space. He scoffed at her accusation, eyes rolling in a sort of faux hurt way. "I’d never do such a thing! I assure you, there’s a healthy layer of cloth wrapped up and keeping it safe." Which was the true for the most part; it was wrapped up in his clothes from before, but less for the bottle’s protection and more to secure that nothing caused the cork to come free. He wasn’t risking it.
MD brightened in a heart beat at the suggestion, setting Chromie down before puffing his chest out a bit. "Did someone say ‘Nimbasa’? Now that’s my stomping grounds," he grinned, clearly pleased with the selection. He even feigned shock, free hand slapping against his chest. "What? You can’t visit Nimbasa and not ride the Ferris wheel! What kind of shenanigans could distract from that?" He tsked and wagged a finger in jest. "I say we have to change that. Nimbasa it is! Just the kind of place to relax and you haven’t lived if you ain’t been to the amusement park." He gave a flourished bow, offering her to lead the way out. "After you master spelunker." He commented with a smile; because with all the nonsense with the Unown, he wouldn’t be surprised if straight back the way they came wasn’t actually the way out. Best to leave it to a professional.

Scarlett quietly mulled MD's suggestion over. While she had the utmost confidence that she could handle the bottle without having issues with the hoopa it was bound to, she could on some level understand his hesitance, given what he'd been through. Besides, if for some reason the hoopa did get out, an unown swarmed ruins was certainly not the terrain of choice. "....Alright, fair enough." She relented hesitantly, laughing a little as he insisted that he'd stored the bottle away with care. "Okay. Good." She was trying to relax again, seeming to recognize that she had come on a little strong in her demands, and not even thinking the situation completely through. She would hold him to letting her see it later though. That she refused to let pass. She had to see it for herself. Her search... No, her obsession with these sorts of artifacts, had driven her to that point, unfortunately. Arceus, she was practically devolving into one of those ruin maniacs, and finding the sapphire orb hidden deep inside the ruins with the blue orb didn't help her condition as she snapped at the unown to protect her newest prize.
Scarlett only began to regain some normalcy when MD suggested they leave and go somewhere more fun. Taking her thoughts off of the unown and the artifacts, she was able to relax and joke around again. "Why yes. Is that the magic word for you, mister magician?" Scarlett suggested with a grin. Apparently it was, of a sort, given that she'd managed to guess his hometown. "Well neu, that makes a lot of sense." She nodded in approval. Nimbassa was certainly a fitting place to raise a magician, full of wonder, games, amusement, and magic. Scarlett laughed more as MD took her lack of ferris wheel riding as a horrible offense. "I'm so sorry. I suppose we'll just have to correct my grave error, hm?" She insisted.
Actually, why didn't she ride the ferris wheel...? She had to think about it. Some of her memory of that night was a bit hazy. She'd gone to Nimbassa to buy the spear key from Cyrus, and got dragged into having drinks with Zak and Cyrus. Afterwards...... Right, she'd crashed at a center for the night and had Skye give her a lift to Straiton so she could train and get more badges. She hadn't even thought about the entire amusement park there. "I was motivated to get badges, didn't even think about the ferris wheel...." Scarlett chuckled, shaking her head. But hey, now they could fix that, as MD happily pointed out. It did sound like a great deal of fun, and Scarlett needed a break before she went to Kalos to do more training. Though if Ashe was available to show her around, that would make the gym grind far more enjoyable.
Scarlett grinned as MD bowed, allowing her to lead on since she was the "master spelunker" here. It did have a nice ring to it, she had to admit. She navigated through the ruins fairly easy. Somehow, even though things had certainly shifted, they did appear to be progressing towards the exit. Scarlett could tell by the shift in temperature, and the smell of fresh air slowly wafting in. Unfortunately, when they finally reached the exit, Scarlett found a tyrunt guarding it, but Aegis was quick to take it out as he had all the others. Scarlett would probably have to swap him out for another pokemon soon before he grew too powerful.... Not now though. She turned to MD with a smile as they stepped free of the ruins. "There we are." Pulling out her ride pager, she got a charizard prepared for her. "I'll see ya in Nimbassa then? Where'd ya wanna meet? By the Ferris Wheel?" She suggested, and once they had the meetup point decided, Scarlett hopped atop her taxi and flew off.

MD looked semi-relieved as Scarlett turned her attention away from viewing the bottle. Maybe he’d entertain the idea of letting her view it later, when they were in a much more open place where escape wasn’t nightmarishly impossible. Once again, he returned the response with a grin and a wink. "You caught me. It just has that ‘essence’ to it that a good magic word has," he joked with a flick of a wrist, placing his hand to his chest as she explained herself. He supposed collecting badges was a reasonable excuse to avoid the finer pleasures of Nimbasa; in fact, that was probably something he himself should focus on at some point later down the line. Maybe; it wasn’t exactly like he needed them but it was something to do between his own personal investigations.
MD gave an approving nod and followed Scarlett as she successfully led the way out from the ruins, noting that things didn’t quite feel the same as when they’d first traversed through the halls. Boy, they really did change things around when they could. He was surprised there weren’t more terrible disappearance reports for individuals heading into these kinds of places. He took a solid breath of fresh air once they were finally free, glancing back as Sissil whizzed past, Chromie in his arms. He glanced over at Scarlett curiously as she produced a pager, head tilting as he recognized the little device. He’d used a similar thing recently and gave her an affirmative nod. "Absolutely! Don’t go hoping around without me now," he remarked, stepping aside as the Charizard appeared, Chromie staring at her fully evolved cousin. MD watched as she took off, considering his own course of action a moment before pulling out his communicator. He typed out a quick message and a request for a ride of himself, turning and returning his pokemon for the time to make the ride easier. Soon he had a Pidgeot touching down on his behalf, giving a smile and climbing up to head off to Nimbasa as well.

Sebastian couldn’t remember what had called him to travel to the Solaceon Ruins in the first place. He’d thought he’d find some answers to his situation, but after a bit of mulling around, he couldn’t help but feel it would hurt more than help.
Which he didn’t need more of, given his current situation. So with a sigh, the young man plopped down under a nearby tree to consider his options. Sebastian just honestly wanted to return to his proper age, to feel a bit better about himself and find the heart to keep going. At some point, he’d forgotten what he was out here doing.
Mew hovered close to its would-be trainer, watching as the poor boy shoved his face in his hands and just sat in silence. Was he okay? He hadn’t seemed all that okay since they’d run into one another all things considered. The pokemon gave a gentle coo before dive-bombing down to nest in Sebastian’s lap. The trainer jumped in surprise, scowling a bit at the pokemon’s antics before relaxing again. He still wasn’t sure how he felt about all this; wasn’t Mew’s supposed to be these mythical creatures only known in legend? And yet here was one, snuggling up in his lap and cooing at him as any other creature might.
"What?" He finally asked, poking the pokemon in its stomach and earning a squirm as though he tickled the thing. Sebastian poked again and earned another enthused wiggle, though he had to dodge the wayward tail that tried to slap him in the face. Yup, it seemed about as normal a pokemon as any others he’d had.
"You're weird, you know that?" The Mew stilled and stared at him curiously and for a moment, the hairs on the back of Sebastian’s neck bristled. He was fairly certain that the pokemon was a psychic type of some sort. While he certainly hadn’t meant for the comment to be an insult, there was no telling how the creature would respond.
The last thing he needed was his mind melted or to be slammed into a tree via psychic energy. That was not the death wish he wanted.
Fortunately, the pokemon didn’t take offense (or as far as he could tell, it did) and instead tossed its arms in the air, wiggling and cooing as though enjoying a good laugh. Sebastian let out a sigh of relief; he hadn’t even realized he’d been holding his breath right then. He was entirely too intense. Then again, giving everything that was happening, who could blame him?
"I should give you a nickname but... I don't know what would work," he mulled over the idea, absently scratching the pokemon’s belly and earning some odd-sounding purrs in the process. He had a bit of a theme with his nicknames, but he hadn’t expected to stumble across another cute and pink little creature. Bluff had earned the only name he found suitable for a distractingly cute creature; anything else he had in mind was just a little to… harsh? Maybe not harsh, but just didn’t quite work. Sebastian would have to break the mold here or just leave the thing unnamed.
The Mew chirped excitedly at the prospect, paws clapping together excitedly as he stared at Sebastian expectantly. Well, so much for leaving it without a name. He really would get tossed into a tree if he failed to provide. Sebastian took a moment to think long and hard about it, sighing and poking the creature once more.
"Ehhh... it goes against the theme but... what about... I don't know, Creampuff? You make me think of a creampuff." Save the pink part. He’d never seen pink cream puffs before … well, maybe pokepuffs could fill the color void. The mythic stared back at him for a long minute, resulting in nervous tension.
This thing was going to kill him at some point for a mistake. He could feel it in his bones.
Fortunately, he would live another day. Mew, or Creampuff, cheered and excitedly clapped it’s paws again, eve going to far as to float back up in the air and give a spin of delight. It was a sweet moment; this was probably the most relaxed he’d been lately.
"Great! Well, that’s settled." Something about this minor victory had bolstered his mood some. Even if his intent to go to the ruins had been a flop, he’d accomplished something. Maybe that was all he needed to focus on; accomplishing minor things.
Hauling himself back to his feet and slapping the dirt from the seat of his pants, he took a moment to consider his options. Maybe his next goal should be some training? As much as he wanted his age back, it was pretty clear this was some sort of magic that was beyond his control. And given that he had no real leads, trying to change back was basically a fool’s errand. He’d be better off trying to catch Cottonee in a hurricane.

The odd metaphor reminded him of his team and what they needed to accomplish. There wasn’t just training to do, but other improvements to be made. He hadn’t worked all that much with Gin and getting her used to her legs (if she wasn’t already by now), there was Spade and his therapy (he’d been neglecting that), trying to get Dice under control, building Bluff’s skills… trying to get Dues to be less murderous.
And Rummy…
Wow, he’d really let things slipped, hadn’t he? The poor cabbage just wanted to be … well, Sebastian still wasn’t sure what he wanted. But there was still the contest scene to do and Rummy was excited about that. Sebastian could do to have an attitude like the Leafeon; even when he lost he found a way to bounce back. Eventually. Rummy was a bit...dense after all.
But there was a lot to do. A lot to accomplish. Hell, there was even the league to consider. That was a big-time goal, but he had all the badges to get there. He just needed his team to be up to the task. And that wasn’t going to happen by magic.
So… training it was then. Sebastian pulled out his communicator, flipping over to the digital resources in the device for more information. His team was fairly tough at this point, but they’d need a challenge if they were going to grow stronger.
