The Solaceon Ruins are a set of ruins east of Solaceon Town where Unown can be found in Sinnoh. The first room has an inscription in the Unown alphabet that indicates which exits to take to get to the last room. The last room holds an inscription written in Unown script. The writing reads "Friendship. All lives touch other lives to create something anew and alive."

Walking into the Soleceon Ruins was like returning home for Scarlett. Though she had never been to these particular ruins before, the ancient smell, the carvings on the wall, the mysteries waiting to be unraveled, this was what she lived for. This had been the life she'd loved when traveling with her father. It all felt so familiar and nostalgic... Scarlett removed the Spear Key from her bag, giving it a glance over. It didn't really seem to be reacting to anything sadly, but then again she had just entered the ruins, it was likely that if she wanted any reaction at all, she would need to go a lot deeper. To go deeper though, she would need some light... Glancing around the cave, Scarlett noticed a wooden torch with a singe cloth laid over it, probably for the tourists. A lot of new explorers made the mistake of using flashlights or electronic equipment to light the way, but generally that vivid light was liable to damage paintings and other kinds of art in the cave, as well as attract angry wild pokemon. It was best to use natural light in these situations. Scarlett took up the torch and dug out her lighter to set fire to the cloth before pushing forward, though she soon felt a buzz at her wrist and paused with a sneer. "About damn time...." Frankly it was probably for the best that he caught her now before she got in too deep, lest she risk losing signal. Opening the message, Scarlett read it over.
Alright, Mishka, I suppose I can share one of my own, then. I’ve had a few, but I’d say one of the less pleasant ones was when I had the misfortune of going out with an airheaded girl who spent the majority of the date talking about her hair stylist, what she planned to do with her hair, getting her nails done, and whether I thought she could use a little ‘work done’ to ‘accentuate her figure’. The worst part was that by the end she seemed to have assumed we were then boyfriend and girlfriend, and wanted me to meet her parents.
There was no second date.
At first it had been amusing and eye-roll worthy, but as Scarlett kept reading, she slowly started to snicker, and eventually cover her mouth to quiet the hysterical laughter that was threatening to spill out. She could barely contain herself, but she managed to stay relatively quiet so she didn't disturb the ruins and whatever might be hiding within.
Oh my Arceus, are you serious?!? Ahahahahha!! Meet her parents. That's ******** rich. As if the date itself weren't bad enough. Ahhhh.... Thanks, I needed a good laugh.
That's pretty bad, I have to admit, but I think I have a story to top that. I was hitting it off with pretty well with this one guy, he was funny, fairly charming in his own way, really handsome too. Had your sort of build. But then that night when I finally got him in bed, he was dressed up in a charizard suit. Turns out he was a pokemaniac. I don't think I've ever run away from a bedroom so fast in my life.
Scarlett typed frantically, eager to respond and share her amusement. She debated warning him that she was going underground, but she figured that would only give him an excuse not to respond, so she left it at that before sending it.

With her message sent, Scarlett set back to walking through the passageway she had started down, passing by one staircase in the interest of seeing what was at the end of the hall. It seemed to go on for quite some time until she finally reached the end, which led to two more staircases, though there were some carvings on the wall. Intrigued, Scarlett took a look. "Unown runes.... Heh. Haven't seen these here beauties in ages...." She grinned, holding the torch closer and tracing the etchings lightly with her other hand. "Would you like me to scan and translate captain?" Scarlett shook her head. "Come on neu Cy, let me have a little fun yeah...? Ancient languages do happen t' be my specialty after all." She insisted, reading the runes over as she spoke to Cypher. "...Top right, lower left, top right, top left, top left, lower left." She mused. "Looks to me like whoever built these here ruins needed directions to remember how ta navigate.... The other corridors that don't follow the directions are dead ends, er traps if I be guessin'." Scarlett observed, and turned right to start descending the staircase in that direction, actually following directions given to her for once.

As she suspected, she was led into another corridor, this one slightly smaller and with even more staircases. "They say that the more confusing the ruins are, the more valuable the treasure. These people seem to be quite invested keepin' their secrets kept." Scarlett chuckled, starting to turn to her right, keeping to the "left" side of the hallway. Another right would be the "bottom left" staircase she was looking for. As she approached and turned to descend however, a man was rushing back up them, practically bowling Scarlett over in his mad dash. They hit the floor, and Scarlett growled angrily, quickly kicking the dazed man off of her, rolling to her feet and whipping Loraine out in his direction. He cowered there on the ground, holding his hands up in surrender. "I-I'm so sorry! I heard voices and I was just trying to get out of here!""If that be the case, why don't you watch where the hell yer going." Scarlett scowled. He seemed harmless at least, so Scarlett withdrew her pistol, sliding it back into it's holster and turning to head down the stairs again. "You aren't seriously planning to go down there are you?! It's a total maze! I got completely lost.... Everything just looks the same. I thought this was supposed to be a tourist spot, not a death maze! Don't they have signs anywhere or something...?" He complained, and Scarlett huffed and rolled her eyes. Amateur. "Yeah, I'm going down there." She was about to give him directions to the exit too, but then she got a much better idea, which showed clearly in the devilish grin that grew on her face. "Say, do you have pokemon on you...?" The traveler took a moment to answer, clearly unsettled. "O-oh uh... Y-yes...?" He answered hesitantly. "Battle me, and I'll tell you how to get out of here." She offered. Was it cruel that he was so close to finding the exit himself and yet she was using his cluelessness to her advantage? Probably, but that was pretty much typical Scarlett. "W-what?! But if all my pokemon faint before I get out, what if I--""Then that's your problem. Either battle me, and win or lose, I'll tell you how to get out of here, or you can keep trying to navigate this maze on your own." She shrugged, turning to make her way down the stairway again. Tanjoubi floated right to the ruin's entrance and opened his arms. Arezu tumbled out, legs immediately giving way to the ground. "Oh Arrrceus that hurts." Sitting for a nonstop trip from Kalos was not fun on the legs. "Come on, slowpoke!" Hakuren called impatiently, dashing a few feet into the ruins.
Arezu rolled around, massaging her legs. "Ugh, just give me a sec." She pulled herself to her legs, taking shaky steps until they were stretched out. "Thanks Tanjoubi," she said before returning her Drifblim to his pokeball.
Hakuren started down the long hallway of the ruins, running from wall to wall as he looked for any hints of anything. Arezu followed more slowly, pulling out her small flashlight and flicking it on. The beam of light fell over stone walls cracked with age and a dusty floor. With no other idea of what to do, the two followed the path until they reached a staircase that led down into darkness. The path continued on past the staircase.
"Well...what do you think we should do?" Hakuren stepped to the top of the stairs and sniffed. "It's ruins, right? The good stuff has to be at the bottom." With that, he started down. Arezu had no choice but to follow.
"You know," Hakuren said, voice echoing in the small space, "Something about this place feels familiar." Arezu had been getting that same nudging feeling. "I know what you mean. You think Celebi ever took us to ruins?" It was definitely possible. "Maybe." Hakuren picked up the pace, excited by the thought that maybe he could even find Celebi here!
"Wait, Hakuren, there's a-!" The stairs stopped abruptly at a smooth stone wall. Hakuren ran right into it. "What the-! Who put a wall there?!" Arezu placed a hand on the smooth stone. "I don't think there's anything there. Dead end?"
The two stubbornly searched for a hidden mechanism, a crack with air flowing through it, anything. Finally, they had to admit defeat and trudged back to the original passageway. This time they walked all the way down, and found themselves at a wall filled with some kind of ancient writing. Which neither of them could read. "s**t."

The ruin maniac was right, the meditite had been his weakest pokemon. The rest of his team had taken a lot more to be brought down, but they were still no match for Nala. A pidgeot, grumpig, lunatone, golett, and lapras all went down by Nala's power much to the ruin maniac's dismay. As he returned his last pokemon he sighed and looked pleadingly to Scarlett."Okay, you promised, win or lose--" Scarlett clicked her tongue irritably. "Yeah yeah. Take those stairs up and follow the hall down, it'll take ya right out." She dismissed him lazily. "Ah! Thank you!" He brightened, following her directions up the stairs and ended up running right into Arezu. "G-goodness, I'm terribly sorry. I just can't seem to stop running into people today..." He apologized, his voice echoing down back to Scarlett. So someone else was in the ruins now? Ugh. Scarlett bit back a groan of distain and attempted to move quickly towards the next correct set of stairs to avoid contact with this next potential explorer. The way she figured it, odds were this new explorer had about as much of an idea of what they were doing as the man she'd just battled, so the farther down she went into the ruins, the less likely it was that other people would be around. Lower left, that was the next set of instructions. Scarlett turned to move down the hall towards the lower section. From where she was facing, left would actually be her right.

Hakuren sneezed and walked away from the strange writing on the wall that he and Arezu had been staring at for way too long. He walked to the edge of some steps. "Hey, Arezu, there's some voices down there. Sounds like a battle." His voice was incredulous. A battle, here? Really? Who came out to some ruins in the middle of nowhere to have a battle?
"Mmm," Hakuren heard Arezu mumble from behind him. "So what do you think, you seen this before?" Confused, because it didn't sound like Arezu was talking to him, he turned to find the great shape of Suicune rainbow-butt before him. "Hey! What's this all about?" Hakuren rounded on Arezu, upset because he'd thought of this as his and Arezu's thing- this stupid ranbow-butt was barely even part of the team!
"Huh? I just figured he might know something, being like celebi and all," Arezu stated, confused at Hakuren's outburst. They had both heard stories of the guardians of their Crown City, Suicune, Raikou, and Entei, and had heard tales of brothers and sisters of the three in other places. More than a couple placed Suicune and Celebi in the same place. "We don't need him, we were just fine on our own," Hakuren huffed. With that, he took off down the stairs opposite those he'd been looking down earlier.
"Hakuren, wai- oof!" Something slammed into Arezu's side, causing her to fall into Suicune. She felt his muzzle nudging her back to stand as a human voice babbled apologies. "It's fine," she said bluntly, irritated by the same feeling Hakuren had experienced earlier, of her private party being invaded by a stranger. The man hurried a few steps back. "Ohh, I really am quite sorry, I just... ohh. Oh my." Arezu sucked in a breath. Crap. "Why, this creature, this beauty, this truly magnificent specimen, I do believe that this istrue fate that I might seesuch a...."
Arezu backed away and squinted as she watched the man ramble over Suicune, who stood staring at him with bland eyes. She shouldn't be able to tell by his posture, but she was sure the legendary loved it. She let Raphael out. "Hey. Raphael. Knock him out. Please." Her whimsicott took in the situation. [ Of course my dear! ] He waggled a hand. [ Far be it from me to judge how you humans go about your courting! ] He plucked a leaf from his cotton and blew a calming melody that bounced around the confined space. Arezu was nearly ready to pass out by the time the man finally slumped over. Suicune padded over to give the girl something to lean against. "Oh shut up. You could've stopped him any time." Suicune snorted. Cold air blew from his nostrils, waking her up.
"Pfft. Thanks." Arezu stared down at the unconscious man and sighed. She just didn't want to deal with someone oogling all over Suicune right now. She released Hikaru. "Could you take him to the entrance?" The Lucario raised her eyebrow. "Please?" To Arezu's great relieve, Hikaru bent down, slinging the man over her shoulder, and set off without question for the entrance. She could find her way back by sensing the group's auras.
"Now I should probably go find Ren. I- hey!" Suicune was nudging Arezu's belt with his mouth. Before she could stop him, he had released Shamrock Shake and McFlurry (Aka Sham and Flurry). He immediately tossed Sham onto his pack and padded off with Flurry by his side, down the opposite staircase.
"What." Arezu wondered sometimes who was the master here- her or Suicune. She sighed and let out Shiisa. "Go. Keep an eye on them?" Shiisa barked once and bounded off. Thankfully the corridors here were large enough to fit all these pokemon. Arezu shook her head at how everything had gone to heck and back so fast and headed down the opposite stairs after Hakuren. Raphael followed, jumping after her in slow leaps that left him drifting slowly forward in an arc reminiscent of a human on the moon.
Lol at first I was just gonna have Hikaru karate chop the poor guy out but this seemed better. Anyways, if it wasn't clear, Suicune and co. and headed in Scarlett's general direction. They're going straight for the ruin's bottom

As Scarlett attempted to escape the unexpected encroaching visitors, she managed to get a text from Zak. She supposed she wasn't very deep yet so reception was understandably clear. She felt she should probably ignore it for now to focus on escaping deeper into the ruins, but glancing behind her, there didn't seem to be anyone there quite yet, so Scarlett opened the message, keeping up her quick pace.
So judgmental, Mishka. What, you don’t have any special fun things for the bedroom?
Oh like you wouldn't have done the same, and I do, don't worry. I would tell you all about it, but I'd prefer to show you, perhaps after that reward you promised? Did you run out of stories to tell me, or are you buying time to think of another one? I'm surprised a stór, I thought you would have more, given the reputation you've been flaunting.
She got an amused smirk out of that, but as soon as the text had sent, Luna suddenly popped out of her pokeball, and Scarlett gave the gekkit an inquisitive look. "Hey there lass, what'cha doin' out here?" asked curiously. Luna gave a happy bark and circled around Scarlett's feet, so the pirate looked to Cypher for some answers. "It appears she's just looking to stretch her legs and join our little venture. She seems to like this dark and ancient environment, though I can't say I know why." Cypher explained. "Huh... Well I suppose that's probably a positive thing, since these aren't the first ruins we'll be exploring." Scarlett suggested with a shrug, planning to continue on. At first, Luna followed close by, right at Scarlett's heels as they walked, however her ears perked up suddenly as she gave a little yip and turned tail to run in the other direction. "Oi Luna, we're headin' this way ya stupid--" She paused mid sentence as she turned, a bit slack jawed as her eyes caught the rainbow brilliance of a suicune walking towards her.
"Neu aren't you a sight...." She eyed him up and down, admiring the stunning colors as Luna bounded over towards the legendary, though she tripped on her collar halfway and face planted into the dirt. "Heh. Hang on Luna..." Scarlett chuckled, moving closer to help the poor gekkit back up and setting her upright on the ground so she could approach and sniff the legendary to satisfy her curiosity. Straightening back up, Scarlett finally saw the other pokemon in the suicune's midst, two of which she'd never seen before, and then an arcanine, but no trainer to be found. It seemed like a rather odd assortment of wild pokemon though, particularly for a scouting of these ruins, so either they were owned and the trainer was just off somewhere else currently, or these ruins held something more valuable than Scarlett had originally thought.
Scarlett's attention went back to the suicune before her. There was an easy way to test her theory after all. In one fluid movement Scarlett had a pokeball in hand, and it was tossed at the suicune before her. As she expected though, when the pokeball drew near, a shimmering barrier warded the pokeball away and back into Scarlett's hand. "Hmph... S'what I thought. Already owned... A pity really, I would have loved to make you mine..." She smiled wryly, putting the pokeball back in her bag. "So then gorgeous, where's your trainer?" She asked curiously.

Sham stiffened on Suicune's back. [ What is it, little brother? ] Shiisa asked, padding closing. Sham stared into the darkness in front of them. [ I smell it. Another one of those...things. ] Shiisa's tail wagged. [ Another Arezu? Oh boy! I knew it smelled good! ] Sham kneaded his paws restlessly into Suicune's back. [ You shouldn't like it, any of them! You know what, now's our chance! Let's just run away! ]
[ You should know they aren't going to leave the human by now, Sham. ] Flurry's voice drifted up from the dark edges of the passage. His white fur stood out, though the shadows still hid him as he slinked beside them. Sham was a bit taken aback by the bite to his brother's words. [ Flurr, you're one to talk! You fought for her like a trained...um... well you just followed orders and it was lame! ] Flurry growled, tail lashing. [ At least I was able to do some good, and grow stronger. Look at you, still riding Suicune's back. ]
Suicune finally swung his great head around, staring at Flurry while he felt the shivering of Sham on his back. Flurry snorted and looked away, going back to silent stalking. Sham growled and hunkered down, his growing frustration with no one listening to him growing. [ No one understands... ] he grumbled bitterly to himself.
And so it was that Suicune stopped within view of the human, staring at her while his entourage stopped around him. Shiisa was all bristling energy. She jumped to the ground, tail wagging, and sniffed at the small fox pokemon by her feet. Suicune blinked at the small creature and looked up at Scarlett. He snorted and blinked again as she tossed a pokeball at him. A moment later he bent down, picked up the gekkit in his mouth, and tossed it on his back. He turned back and stared at Scarlett, his face saying "its mine now."
"Wiiiiaaard." [ You can't do that, Suicune. It already belongs to the human, ] Flurry drawled, eyes glinting in the dark. "Lu lu!" [ No we totally can! You're with us now! ] Sham said happily, sniffing the newcomer with excitement. [ You don't have to go back to that...thing, ] he told the fox, squinting at the human he could barely see over the flowing mane of Suicune.
Meanwhile, Arezu had finally caught up with Hakuren. "Hey, Ren, I'm sorry about-""Inviting loser Rainbow BUTT out?""-um. Sure. But look, if we're gonna make any progress we have to use everything we've got." Hakuren huffed. "Fine." Suddenly, Raphael bounced right into him. "Whim whim!" [ Haku, my man! ] Hakuren's eyes suddenly lit up. "Zorua!" [ Raph! ] He leaped up and they circled each other, grinning. "What was that about inviting others?" Arezu joked. "Well, Raph is cool though." Raphael grinned. "Cott cot!" [ You know it! ] he proclaimed. Arezu rolled her eyes. "Okay, okay. Come on, you two."
By the time they made it back to the first split, where they had first run into the strange writing on the walls, Hikaru was padding up to them. "Ho!" Hikaru closed in. "Arezu, Hakuren. Raphael." She nodded at each in turn. "I did as you asked. The man should be fine. You did quite a number on him." Raphael beamed. "Uh, yeah. Thanks, Hikaru. Would you mind helping us find Suicune? And...others?" Half her freaking team had run off with the darned legendary. Hikaru nodded. "Yes. They are not too far away. I will try to judge the correct path," she answered.

Luna was more than happy to sniff and greet the new pokemon that she encountered. As Shiisa jumped over to her though, Luna popped into her collar in surprise and fear. The playful arcanine was quite large and intimidating, however seeing that she was just excited, Luna managed to slowly peek back out of her collar, tail wagging timidly but with curiosity. Eventually, she gave Shiisa's nose a light lick as Scarlett tested to see whether or not the suicune was owned yet. Unfortunately it was, though considering the entourage, it was to be expected. Scarlett quirked a brow however as the legendary picked Luna up like one of his own and put her on his back. He even gave Scarlett a somewhat territorial look, as if claiming that the gekkit was his now.
Scarlett couldn't be sure, not until Cypher spoke up. "It seems these pokemon are trying to erm... Adopt Luna, captain." The porygon z suggested, though it was clear he was rather puzzled by this turn of events. Scarlett on the other hand scoffed at the idea. "Don't be gettin' any ideas neu. I'm fine with ya givin' her a ride 'cause that's sweet an' all, but she's mine." Scarlett insisted. Luna was going to make her a fortune. She was good at sneaking into little nooks and crannies, and on top of that she was exceedingly rare from what Scarlett had found out, so if all else failed she could sell the gekkit for a lot of money, but.... Luna's ears flicked as she heard Scarlett and the new pokemon talking about her and who she was staying with, particularly Sham's comments. "Gek? Gekk. Gekk. Gekket! Gek ekk ekk, gekket~" ('Huh? Captain is not a thing. Captain is a human. She's nice too! She gives me lots of yummy food and lets me snuggle up with her in a big soft bed~') Luna yipped, though she happily burrowed herself into the suicune's soft rainbow mane. Their first encounter hadn't been quite as friendly as Luna regarded it, but she still thought quite fondly of Scarlett, and wasn't about to leave her. She would take the fluffy ride on the suicune's mane though. It was much more comfortable then padding along on the ground.

Shiisa straightened and shook herself, snorting from her nose at the wet feeling from being licked. Oh, she liked this little one very much! Now she took a hesitant step forward, sticking her head out to sniff the human. She would, of course, jump her if: a) she liked hugs or b) she wanted to hurt Shiisa's family.
Sham rolled his eyes at the gekkit. "Lu lupup lupup pup." [ Oh geez, another of these ones. You sound just like Shi!" After all, it was Shiisa's fault they'd all ended up trailing along with this human of theirs! "Lu lu." [ I don't get why everyone's so in love with those things, ] he grumbled, referring to humans as "those things".
Suicune, meanwhile, stared steadily back at Scarlette. It rather stubbornly seemed he was saying, "That's nice but I've elected to ignore your decision. And your offer. Because it's stupid." A growl rumbled up from the wall's shadow. Flurry's cat eyes glinted in the flickering torchlight (and the ambient light of Suicune's fabulous mane). "Parrr par." [ If she were a ghost she'd be gone in a flash. No more trainer. ]
Sham wasn't sure if he liked that idea. On the one hand, no excuse for the gekkit to not stay with them. On the other hand, it sounded like murder. Even if Sham didn't like humans, Suicune had raised him to be all "groovy with the universe" and s**t so he wasn't gung-ho about actually killing anything. More than that, it just seemed...wrong. Ugh, now I'm defending a human to myself.
Shiisa's ears twitched and swiveled. Voices echoed from the way they'd come.
"I'm telling you, this is the right way! I can feel it! Besides, Hikky-kinz already got it wrong once so it's my turn!" There was a pause, as if someone was responding to the statement. "It's fine Hikaru. This place has stairs. It happens. Let's just- hey, there's a light up there."
Not long after, Arezu walked around the corner, flashlight pointed at the ground. Hakuren, Raphael and Hikaru were by her side. Hikaru twisted her head to Arezu. [ Oh, and there is a stranger with them. ]"Wow, so helpful." Hikaru's mouth tilted into a smile. Stupid aura dog.
"Hey, what'd you guys find? Don't tell me we have to knock out another dude," Arezu called, walking forward. Suicune swung his head around, as if to say "Who, me?" and also a little, "Good you're here. Now clean up my mess". Stupid aurora dog.
Good news was, it looked like this stranger wasn't gushing all over Suicune. Bad news was, she was eyeing him like a big slab of gold and jewels and fancy tuna. "Hi." She took in how Scarlett was using a torch instead of a flashlight. "Hope they didn't bother-" her eyes had trailed over Suicune's back and noticed the small fox there. "SUICUNE I SWEAR TO ARCEUS I LEFT FOR FIVE MINUTES!"
Arezu reached out. Suicune leaned his body to the side, just out of reach. Arezu jumped, Suicune jumped back. "I told you you can't just pick up anything you want!" If the strange woman wasn't there, Arezu would have chased him around. But she'd already shown enough of how Suicune didn't exactly...listen to her. She didn't need to embarrass herself anymore. Stupid Mommy-complex rainbow-butt. Arezu sighed. "I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that fox thing's yours." It was an interesting pokemon, one Arezu had never seen before. No wonder Suicune wanted it. Creepy old man kidnapper.
On Suicune's back, Sham had enjoyed the brief moment of Suicune making the Arezu look stupid. "Lupup lu." [ And that's the human everybody likes so much, ] he said to Luna with an edge to his voice.

Scarlett found it rather adorable how the large arcanine was playing like a big puppy with her gekkit. She wanted to take a picture with her xtransceiver, but as she was trying to fiddle with the settings to turn of the flash, she got another text from Zak.
"You’d be surprised how little you know of me, Mishka. But, I don’t doubt it. We’ll have to wait and see if you get to show me…
Or, perhaps I don’t have more stories because I’m just a good judge of character, hm? I don’t get myself into very many situations.

As Scarlett wrote up her text, it was apparently her turn to get an inspection from the large dog. She wasn't really a dog person, not unless it was a legendary dog with a rainbow mane, but she allowed the fire type to inspect her as long as she didn't make any aggressive movements. Other than that though, she didn't really give much indication that she was going interact with the arcanine, far more focused on finishing her text and sending it. Luna's ears twitched curiously as Sham continued to berate humans. "Gek... Gekkit?" ('Well.... What don't you like about them?') It was a fair question. For all the negative talk Sham was doing concerning humans, he had to have a reason, right? Luna wasn't opposed to hearing him out. Meanwhile Scarlett was amused by the suicune's denial that the gekkit wasn't his. So feisty. If only this pokemon were a human. She liked that flair in guys. It was part of what she found so attractive about Zak. "Deny it all you want. I caught her, I keep her." Scarlett insisted, her amused gaze turning to the wispard growling at her from the suicune's side. She didn't need a translation to know that it was threatening her, but it was clear she remained unfazed.
Suddenly voices began to echo farther down. Scarlett could only assume that the group's trainer was finally catching up to their pokemon. Scarlett was somewhat interested in meeting the trainer who had managed to catch this suicune, so she supposed she could stick around instead of grabbing Luna and making a run for it. As soon as Arezu arrived though, Scarlett squinted, raising a hand to keep herself from being blinded by the flashlight's invasive beams. If that wasn't annoying enough, the girl talked about needing to potentially knock her out. Scarlett was almost offended she had the gall. Once the flashlight was pulled away, Scarlett dropped her hand, giving the girl a bit of an annoyed glare. Not that Arezu saw, she was too focused on yelling at her suicune and trying to snatch Luna off of the legendary's back. Arceus above, this girl had no idea what she was doing. Flashlights? Yelling at the top of her lungs? Was she insane? Apparently this wasn't the first time something like this had happened, and given how adamant the suicune was about keeping Luna, if Scarlett had to guess, she would bet money that he had succeeded, much to his trainer's apparent distain. Not that it mattered, because once again the suicune was determined to keep Luna. Scarlett was only glad that it was his trainer that had to make a fool of herself trying to grab Luna off his back.
That, and the fact that Luna was clearly enjoying the ride. She hopped a bit in the suicune's mane, gekkering gleefully to goad her new guardian into jumping around again. She paused though as Sham pointed out that Arezu was the human their little group loved so much. "Gek?" ('Oh?') Luna glanced Arezu's way curiously, though at last, Arezu's attention went to Scarlett, asking if the newly adopted pokemon was hers. "First of all, that thing is a gekkit, her name is Luna, and yes, she's mine." Scarlett frowned. "Secondly, far Arceus' sake would ya turn off that flashlight before you bleach a painting or my eyesight, an' third, friggin' keep yer voice down, lest you want to disturb and broadcast yer location to the wild pokemon that call these ruins home." Scarlett growled. The only reason this girl was alive right now was because if her yelling hadn't disturbed any pokemon, a gunshot would. Luna yipped in affirmation, jumping off of the suicune's back and scrambling after her trainer excitedly while Scarlett started storming down the rest of the hallway, planning to hang a right as soon as she reached the staircase.

Suicune, who had simply snorted softly by blowing air through his nostrils as a human might when amused, made no move to give the small pokemon nestled in his mane back. He thought about handing Sham over as a joke. In fact, he could try tying some planks around the Lupup's head to make the little one feel more comfortable. Yes, that might be funny effective.
Atop Suicune, Sham snorted at Luna's innocent question, mostly to cover up his feelings. "Lupup lupup lu." ("That they exist," ) he replied flatly. "Lou lou pup. Lu? Lupup?" ( "They're different. You think some lame head rubs changes that? Some of their food?" ) No, there was something fundamentally wrong about humans. Sham knew it. Although, there was one human...one that he had met that almost seemed... Not human? No, that wasn't it, but... Sham shook his head angrily to get the alien thoughts away. "Lupup lup." ( "Just watch out for yourself." ) He had to shift a little bit to keep his balance as Suicune swung his head around to look at Arezu's approach.
After the ensuing scramble, Arezu sighed and forced herself to let it go, to Sham's vast amusement. The two pokemon had been enjoying the ride atop his mane, and Arezu had a feeling their enjoyment was most of the reason Suicune kept it up. It was good to see Sham with something other than his perpetual scowl...even if it was at her expense. At least somebody's enjoying themselves. That was a plus, since it seemed this stranger wasn't enjoying herself at all.
"Gesundheit," Arezu said in response to point number one, still unbothered. After the next point Arezu narrowed her eyes, having half a mind to waggle her flashlight in the woman's face while going, 'what, this flashlight?'. She got a bit more ticked off the more this woman mouthed off. She felt an icy cool wash over her. "Oh? You think I should be worried about what lives here?" Suicune swung his head sharply to stare at her. "You think they wouldn't know the second we stepped foot in their domain, no matter the sound we made?" Hikaru stood by her side, posture eerily similar to the human's. "Do your work chasing the tail of the past, archaeologist." The last word was spat out with disdain.
All of Arezu's pokemon stared at her save Hikaru, whose gaze matched Arezu's. The only movement was Luna hopping off Suicune's back, then the slow retreat of the stranger further into the cave. Suicune snorted. Girl and Lucario's heads swung as one to stare. "Man! What was her problem!?" Arezu blinked, and everyone relaxed, the tension gone. "Oooh, I'm so smart with my fire stick and my professional rock examiner job. Pah. She wouldn't know sense if it nipped her in the butt. Actually...""Hakuren, no.""Aw c'mon, not even a little bit?" Arezu looked thoughtfully down the corridor. "...Maybe a little bit." Their laughter was cut short when Hikaru put a hand on Arezu's shoulder. [ "She was correct; you should be wary. There is a power here. I can sense it the further we delve." ] Arezu sobered. "I know. I can't explain it but...I can feel it too." Hakuren nodded agreement.
Suddenly, Shiisa stuck her face to Arezu, sniffing every inch of her, then sniffing every inch of Hikaru. For good measure, she sniffed Hakuren and Raphael too. Whining, she backed off, as if confused about something. Of course, it only lasted a moment before she was headbutting Arezu, demanding a good head rub.
"Lupup lou," ( "Ugh sis is being such a suck up." ) After she made Luna leave, too. Flurry snorted. "Wisss parr? Rrraaa." ( "What do you expect? And they're shaking in their skins for nothing." ) Sham shifted on Suicune's back. "Lou?" ( "Whaddya mean?" ) Flurry swung his gaze to the dark of the hall. "Wisparr." ( "There's no ghosts here." ) Sham scowled. As if that explained anything. "Lupup lup?" ( "What do you think, Suicune? Huh?" ) He prodded the big rainbow lump when it took a moment to get a response. As an answer, Suicune started forward, the same direction Scarlette had gone. Were they going after Luna?
"Surprise, surprise, Suicune's off again," Arezu said, watching as he padded off along with his family. "Blech. That jerk is that direction. I swear I'm gonna scare her silly. Or maybe....hmm..." Hakuren lost himself in schemes, leaving Arezu no need to remind him that they didn't exactly have a choice which way they went. "Well, let's go then." To make it a little better she returned Raphael so it was just her, Hakuren and Hikaru following after Suicune's party.
When they reached the dead end of the hallway, Suicune turned right. While Arezu was looking after them, Hikaru spoke up. "The human we met is that way." Arezu frowned. "Great." Should she worry about them? It hadn't seemed like miss sunshine and rainbows was going to try anything, and Suicune could handle himself. "Let's check out the left side first. I don't want to miss anything."
As Arezu turned to go the opposite way, Suicune soon found himself padding along not too far from the flickering light of Scarlette's torch. In the shadows behind him and his family, a pair of eyes glinted, following close in the shadows.
I'll have to have Shiisa be extra cute then ;D Haha, it's okay, Arezu can handle salt. She'll probably get a kick out of running into Scarlette again since scar obviously doesn't like having her around xD

Jeez this girl was really getting on her nerves. Not only did she have no respect for the history here, but she didn't care much about disturbing the pokemon within. "Fine. If you wanna make yerself a homing beacon far tha pokemon here, be my guest, but if ya ruin any of the artifacts here with your carelessness, I'll hunt yer a** down and make you pay for it." She snapped. If this girl didn't care about historical sites, then why the hell was she even here...? Ugh. Scarlett already couldn't stand her, and moved to quickly get away and make her way farther down into the ruins. She hung a right and moved down the staircase there. The next room felt colder, which made sense; by now she'd gone what, three levels down? The sound of padding feet close behind distracted Scarlett though, and she grit her teeth, casting a glare behind her at the rainbow colored suicune. "I'm flattered handsome, but unless you plan on joining my crew, kindly stick to yer own." She sneered, knowing he was probably just after Luna again. She made her way farther down the hallway to get away from the annoying legendary.
As she did though, the walls began to change. No longer were they empty rock, but they slowly became covered with small tiles as the hall went on. Scarlett moved closer to one wall, holding up her torch to get a closer look. After a quick inspection, it seemed they were unown glyphs, but they didn't spell anything in particular though, just decoration, or perhaps a tribute.... Scarlett hummed thoughtfully, though she suddenly felt something in her bag shift. "What in the....?" She jerked, thinking the stupid suicune was getting in her bag, but he was still a little distance away; nothing was there. She felt her bag shift again, a golden glow emitting from the creases. Scarlett's eyes shimmered. Could it be? She dug into her bag to pull out the spear key, grinning widely as she saw that it was glowing and shifting. Something in the area was reacting to it! But what...? She held it up to allow it to direct her, hurrying off down the hall towards the artifact's call. Before she could make it all the way down the hall though, the spear key went nuts, shifting and pointing in all directions. "Captain....! The walls!" Cypher warned fearfully. Scarlett tore her gaze away from the artifact in her hands to figure out what Cypher was talking about. Sure enough, the unown tiles covering the walls were starting to glow a mystical blue. "Cy, please tell me you're recordin' this...." Scarlett breathed. "I haven't stopped since we entered the ruins Captain." Cypher affirmed, and Scarlett nodded gratefully. She shouldn't have expected anything less from her partner, but it was good to make sure.

This was what she was hoping for when she had entered the ruins. The unown cried out, staring with it's single eye at Scarlett's spear key and began to float towards her, looking rather upset. "Heh. Nala, use thunder." Scarlett commanded, and the little lioness stepped forward, fur crackling with energy as she gave the psychic pokemon a good jolt. Some static seemed to linger afterwards, but the unown still managed to attack with a mysterious energy. Another jolt of electricity finished it off though, and Scarlett quickly tossed a pokeball to capture it. "Cypher, transport it to my PC." Scarlett ordered. "Yes Captain." The pokeball dematerialized and Scarlett sprayed Nala with a potion to heal up the damage that the unown had done. "If this one came out of hiding to attack me, there's sure to be more to come. Keep an eye out. I need one of each. In the meantime, let's dig a bit deeper to see just what they're trying so hard to guard, hm?" Scarlett shot Cypher a smirk.
