Well, since we don't have missions for you, you can try and occupy yourself by earning a few badges. Who knows, you might even enjoy it," he suggested. NPC: 08/15 || WPE: 08/03 || Town: 02/03 || OOB: "Hold on for me," Kaeden spoke, and then went quiet, with only the sound of typing to fill the air. Jinx waited patiently, as asked, and counted the seconds until the typing petered out. "Thanks for waiting," Kaeden remarked, announcing his return. "The first gym is in Oreburgh City, and specializes in rock types." Jinx hummed at the information, and tried to remember just what types were effective against rock. Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, and Steel; quite a few. "Okay! Thank you~" She'd have to check how far Oreburgh City was, and if was close by (which she imagined it would be) she'd go ahead and take her first badge before the end of the day.
"J." Jinx perked up and turned her attention back to the phone. "Opal's your only water type, right? Try not to use her for this gym battle, alright? She's stronger than the pokemon most starting trainers have," he pointed out. "Mm, alright. I won't use her," Jinx hummed. "If you want, you could head to Eterna Forest, there are a few grass type pokemon there, and they'll be stronger than any you'd find near any of the cities." Alright, so... she'd head to Eterna Forest and then go to Oreburgh to get her badge; that could still be done in a day.

NPC: 09/15 || WPE: 09/03 || Town: 03/03 || OOB: A map would be useful, Jinx came to the conclusion. Maybe her pokedex would have one? It was a device capable of much more than data collection, at least that was what she hoped it did. Speaking of pokedexes... "Hey Kae, do you want my pokedex?" Jinx asked suddenly, already reaching in her bag to begin searching for it, almost as if she could hand the device to him right then. "Huh?" From the tone of his voice, it was obvious that he'd been taken by surprise, but after a few seconds he burst into laughter. "Thanks for the offer, J, but I think you'll need it more than me. I wouldn't mind borrowing it though. I'll send someone to retrieve it tonight, and I'll have it back to you by the end of the day tomorrow," he counter-argued. "Sound good?" With her hand still in her bag, and fingers clamped around the very edges of her pokedex, Jinx allowed the device to slip from her grip before she pulled her hand back. "Yup! That works for me!" With her so occupied with her conversation, it shouldn't have been much of a surprise that, in no time, she was wading through the tall grass that sat between Sandgem and Jubilife, the next city over.

It took a little ducking and weaving; Esben was semi-grateful in this moment that he was small at that Duncan was a towering idiot who would’ve tripped over his own boots if there was snow on the ground. Still though, getting caught was not on his to-do list and he and his team managed to slip to the town from before. Of course, so many stubby little legs quickly led to tiredness. And as much as a rest would have been appreciated, it wouldn’t be long before Duncan found them again because of it.

Tucking Flef under his arm like a ball (which earned him some curious cooing, but the fluff ball didn’t seem to mind), balling his freed hand into a fist and hovering it over his mouth. He needed to quickly about the best course of action in getting away from Duncan. Obviously, the appropriate way was to challenge the older man to combat and strike him down in the fields so that he could no longer follow him in any way. Unfortunately, even if Duncan wasn’t the ‘warrior’ type (he was a down right stick by the standards of Esben’s clan) he was still bigger than Esben. By quite a bit. It would take much more muscle and struggle for him to successfully dispose of him in a combat situation, assuming he didn’t go down first. No… Esben needed the time to train up to such a venture.

So the next option, as cowardly as it was, was to relocate somewhere else. Surely Duncan would continue trouncing around these lands like the barbarian that he was searching for him and in doing so, fail to take into account Esben going somewhere else! Or at least, that was how the nine year old perceived it. But in his mind, it was flawless logic and so he ushered everyone along to continue following him back in the direction that they had only a week or so before travelled. The teen thing wouldn’t think to double back until it became clear that Esben hadn’t gotten very far at all. And by then, he could be long gone! Yes, this was a plan in action.

Terrence was actually surprised how short the travel was the the next town. He honestly thought that he would be feeling more worn out, but he actually still felt fine. He didn't really see a reason to stop and take a short break, perhaps he should wait until he got to the next city? That was going to be a long trip for sure, but Terrence really did feel fine. Still, maybe he should be more cautious? What if something happened and he passed out in the middle of the road? His team would have a heart attack! To rest, or to keep going. Terrence was going to have to make a choice here.
His eyes moved over to look between Az and Ivy, Terrence should ask them what they wanted to do. Though Terrence was pretty sure that they were both going to tell him to rest. It wasn't like they were in a rush or anything, so they could take as many breaks as they wanted. It was just that Terrence still felt pretty good, and he sort of just wanted to get this first gym out of the way if he was being honest.

Terrence hummed before looking at his companions "er... I think we should just head over to the next city. I'm feeling pretty good, and I'm not all that tired soo..." he trailed off, timidly peaking over to see Ivy's reaction first. Ivy seemed to pause, her head tilted slightly to the side as she seemed to think about what he had just said. Her eyes landed on his before she spoke up"I believe you should rest. We are in no rush to get to our destination, and while you are not yet ready to use my powers... that does not mean that as your guardian I can allow harm to come to you. I advise you to stop here for a moment and gather your strength" she said. Terrence pursed his lips, he really honestly felt great. Why did he have to stop? He took Ivy's words seriously, but at the same time Terrence didn't want to stay in this town for long.
Az lightly tapped his cheeks, Terrence blinking before he moved his eyes over to his other partner. Az seemed to agree with Ivy, and that sort of made Terrence annoyed. Terrence puffed his cheeks, arms crossed "oh come on, not you too!" Terrence pouted. Az seemed to just give the 'I'm totally serious right now' look. Shaking his head, Terrence moved forwards "we're still going to the next town. I appreciate the concern, but I can do this. I feel really good and I'd rather get to the next city and take a break there instead" Terrence decided.

Terrence decided that he was just going to press on. He didn't really want to stop now, not when he had no reason too. Perhaps he was just being stubborn, but he knew his pokemon weren't tired. He didn't want to be a burden to them, and even though he knew they didn't think of him like that... Terrence still couldn't shake the thought that perhaps he was just baggage. Shaking his head Terrence continued forwards towards the city exit. Ivy and Az looked at one another, worried glances directed towards Terrence. Even though they wanted to object, Terrence was still their trainer and family. They would stay with him, to ensure that if he did feel weak at all he would have support.
It was times like these that Az wanted the strength to protect Terrence. He wanted to be able to ease the burden on his trainer, and so he needed to be aware of any sudden changes Terrence was showing. As they left the town, Az focused in on Terrence trying to find any little thing that could be wrong.

She followed the noise of the Pokemon till she arrived on to the scene. It was Pokemon out of place. Turns out it was a Goomy trying to set up its own little territory. She jumped behind it trying to use the stealth of a Emolga, but she failed. The Goomy turned around and jumped at her in an aggressive manner. "Somebody wants a hug!" she yelled as she caught the Pokemon in her arms.
The Goomy did not appreciate this and struggled to try to get away. It roared desperately for the female to let her go."I don't understand a word you say but are you trying to tell me you wanna be friends?" she gave a toothy smile down towards the yelling Pokemon. Upon seeing this the territorial tyrant gasped at the far to friendly face of Skia, and passed out scared of it's future. "Your asleep, awwwwh! Your safe in my arms bud." she pulled out a Pokeballs from a side pouch and popped it on the Goomy's head. The sleeping Pokemon unreluctantly disappeared inside with a bright red flash. Not did it fight to leave. "I think I'll call you Goomdrops you you drop of goo friendship." she placed the ball on her belt next to her other Pokemon.
She had spent quite a while searching for her new companion. Never once realizing just how far she had travelled. Apparently she was less than a hundred feet from Sandgem, her next destination. Her stomach growled at her heavily, and food she thought.

Just outside Sandgem, Skia realized she forgot to get the Professor's Poke Number. Drat, she thought, she didn't want to turn around. She looked at the town and wonder if someone there might have it? Surely someone did. Like at the Pokemon Center most likely. She flexed her arm, "And a Trainer to battle?"
She smirked and started running towards the entrance of the town. She was excited to see if any Trainers wanted to battle or if there were any friends to be made.
Skia arrived at the Pokemon Center and walked through the door. She tried playing it cool like she hadn't been running the whole way here. "Hey Nurse lady can you heal up my Pokemon."she only paused to pull the two Poke Balls off her belt. See I just started my Pokemon journey today." she pulled out her Trainer ID and showed it it to the Nurse. "Then there was this Goomy outside of town that was raising all sorts of ruckus. Till I swooped in behind it all sneaky like and wrestled it into submission." she chuckled as the Nurse gave her the Two Pokeballs back. "Well more like I got submitted actually, dang thing just wanted a hug. So I hugged it and she fell asleep in my arms. One Poke Later and vola" she kissed the edges of her fingers she pressed on her thumb and popped them outward "The Pokemon was mine"
Nurse Joy unsure how to respond just answered in the most standard of answers "Thank you, we hope to see you again soon" Skia smiled "Awh thanks, you to Nurse Lady" she ran out the door and made her way towards Jubilife City.
She got half way there and realized that the Nurse never answered her questions. It was probably just a misunderstanding or maybe she just didn't hear her. To late now she thought and rushed forward towards her next destination.
