With a full team of Pokemon at his disposal he was ready to begin refining it. With a good base as well some already solid contenders for Pokemon he would use in the long term of his journey he was feeling good about it so far. Although he only had one of the Sinnoh badges at his disposal he wasn’t too worried about Gardenia the grass leader. While he had the type advantages over the gym leaders he wanted to make sure that he was training enough in these easy to access areas before moving forward and getting overwhelmed by a certain leader. He was definitely looking forward to the next gym battle he would take part in.

The forest had a very haunting vibe to it. The chill air and Pokemon that inhabited it definitely added to the ghostly atmosphere of the Eterna forest. As he continued on he felt right at home here, although he wasn’t a ghost type trainer he did enjoy the tactical advantage the ghost type posed. Having a ghost type on your team added an extra facet of strategy to any skilled trainers arsenal.

He did enjoy beating down mindless Galatic grunts but there was nothing like the rush of facing off against a powerful trainer. It was so far and away different from battle grunts and losers who inhabited these areas. Gym leaders were one thing but what he wanted to find was a rival.

All of the stories of great trainers in the past were all pushed onward by some sort of rival. A trainer of equal skill who grew along side them from when the journey began until its end. King never had someone like that to share his journey with, he was simply crushing all who came before him. To be challenged, that's what he wanted.

Gliding through the forest, contemplating what it would be like to be constantly at arms with another trainer made him somewhat nostalgic. He had always been one for travelling alone, for writing his own tale. Sighing as he returned Froslass to her ball he shook his head. He was growing wearing of battling weak Pokemon who couldn't last any more than a few moves. He really wasn't interesting in wasting his time, but there was nothing he could do about battling wild Pokemon, he just hoped he would be able to find one worth putting on his team.

Pokemon were a strange species, they ran the gambit from birds to keys and they all had unique personalities. Anyone lucky enough to have the chance to go on a journey such as this was in for a treat. But King didn't really see it that way, he saw Pokemon as more of a means to an end, that made things alot less black and white for him.

Approaching the edge of the forest he looked onward to the Old Château on the opposite edge of the forest as Eterna City. It looked much more ominous than the forest was, that, coupled with the fact that the Galatic Members headed towards the building were enough for King to decide to remain in the forest a while longer.
