It is a forest enveloped in chilly air. Thick stands of trees turn the forest into a natural maze. Eterna Forest is home to many Bug- and Grass-type Pokémon. A mossy rock can be found on the far west side. It facilitates the evolution of Eevee into Leafeon. It emits a kind of radiation, which extends to cover the entire forest. This causes Eevee to evolve into Leafeon when leveled up within the forest's boundaries.
Eterna Forest has a reputation for being a mysterious place, from the abandoned Old Chateau to the strange Moss Rock. Eterna Forest is a long and complex structure of trees that make it a natural maze, of where a lot of people get lost. Eterna Forest has apparently been the location to numerous sighting of Team Galactic, for many unknown reasons.

The air was noticeably much cooler than in Eterna. Along with that there was an abandoned Chateau near the northern edge of the forest that he had been warned against going into. The Misdreavus he had battled when he entered the forest was the first hint that the forest was a potential haunt for many mischievous Pokemon.

As King continued through the woods with little hesitation he found that the cold air slightly reminded him of his home in Snowbelle. The chill in the air made him feel alive, he had a strange attraction to the discomfort of the cold. It meant that he had to keep his wits about him and keep moving, it was a constant reminder that he needed to continue moving forward or he would freeze, both literally and metaphorically.

He came upon a strange mossy stone, that seemed to radiate a peculiar type of energy. Something he had never before, but from what he could tell it had something to do with the same type of energy that caused Pokemon to evolve. Whatever it was he was curious as to just how it worked. Adding Murkrow to his team would give him some much needed coverage. The effective use of a Pokemon like Murkrow could aid in turning the tide of many battles. He was eager to see what type of bond the crow like Pokemon would bring to the table. The forest held a fair deal of secrets, and pokemon that with a little helping hand, could turn out to be great assets for any team, especially a tactical one like King’s .

As he slowed for a moment of respite, he realized that he almost held a full team with him. He only needed one more Pokemon before he had to start sending them back to their boxes and building up a stock of Pokemon to use in other situations. He knew that the daycare system that the Pokemon world generally used was very effective for training Pokemon not being used in an active party. He would definitely consider taking advantage of that, but for now he wanted to focus on his training for Gardenia.

The chill air reminded him just how real this journey was. He enjoyed training in the Eterna Forest so far, he had seen rare Pokemon that didn’t appear in many other places. Hoping he would find some trainers in this forest he looked forward to what types of Pokemon the trainers in this forest would use. As he rounded one of the shaded bends he noticed a group of trainers that he recognized, not them personally, but their outfit. Team Galatic, the local thugs of the Sinnoh region, they had been stopped once before by a great trainer and were now back with a vengeance. Whatever they were up to in this forest was bad news.

“Ha, is that all?” King dusted his hand off on his thigh, he had no problem doing away with the Galatic grunt. As the grunt stomped on the ground he returned his knocked out Pokemon to its ball. This time he had to deal with more than one however.
“Come on!” Turning his back to the King he looked at the other Galactic members were shocked by the easy victory. They snickered as they watch their comrade be handily beaten. “Don’t just stand there you fools! Take this masked freak down!”
“Well that seems a little unrealistic don’t you think, you can come at me all you’d like,” Froslass still out of her ball, awaiting the next opponent he taunted the opponents by wagging his finger at the Galatic members, “so who’s next.”
“Alright my turn! You’re going down freak!” one of the grunts jumped ahead of his loser teammate and tossed out a ball containing a Glameow, “I’m not going to be a pushover like the last one, prepare to lose!”

Defeating the next Grunt King returned Prinplup to his ball as he chuckled. He had been easily dispatching the opponents, leaving not much more than a scratch on the penguin Pokemon. The life draining ability of the Oblivion Wing technique proved to be a seriously effective strategy for keeping Prinplup alive throughout longer battles, keeping him in pristine condition as the battle wore on.
“Forget this! We gotta go to tell the commander about this guy! No point wasting our time!” The grunt who attacked first tapped on of the others on the shoulder as the four then scattered off towards the Old Chateau, in more of a hurry than a Squirtle at a surf competition. It was a shame that the battles couldn’t last longer but he would always be able to pursue them into the Chateau, but he wasn’t really interested in wasting his time with clowns like Galatic.

Teams like Galatic were hardly a threat anymore, they weren’t at all nearly the force they were once upon a time. It could be cause for alarm if they possessed their former strength or personnel it would be a much different story. But unfortunately groups like Galatic popped up all over the place, they were more of a nuisance than anything else at this point. Stopping them whenever they popped up was much simpler than chasing after their usually vain plots and efforts.

Capturing a rare Mime Jr. he realized that the baby Pokemon would have great potential as a tactical partner in his team. The Fairy/Psychic pairing made for a strong set of defenses, King was going to have to find a niche for this Pokemon to battle in but he would be able to keep up a solid strategy with the Pokemon as a front in competitive battle. He would be able to set up and effectively use the typing to get the most out of the mimic Pokemon.
