There was a palpable sensation of infuriated disbelief radiating from Zakhav, enough so that all of his pokemon took at least two steps back as they watched him stare at the pokeball, twitching in repressed anger. "Cho... za HUI!?!" he snarled, taking two long, angry steps over to snatch the ball up. There was a beep from his backpack, and he spun, storming over. Another sound, and he wrenched the bag over, making it more audible."Zak-hav? Zak hav?" flinching when he recognized a rather chopped version of his name, Zak shot his hand in, grabbed the speaking device, and jerked it out, glowering at it. There was an odd, light-blue electrical energy around it, shimmering and flickering the same way the odd Rotom had when it first appeared.
"Geet. OUT," he snarled, his eyes wide with anger, his expression dangerous. The electric glow shimmered, and the top of the yellow Rotom's head appeared above the personalized communication device, eyes just visible, peering from above it at the trainer. "Don't. Be mad. Zak hav," it spoke, using the electronic's voice compatibility system, the voice choppy and robotic. It then disappeared back inside, and Zak lowered his gaze as a text message started typing itself. My name is Meebus, it read. Zakhav twitched, again, looking on the verge of popping a blood vessel. "I don't cair vat your nyame ees! Vat kind of nyame is MEEBUS anyvay! Geet OUT uv my devICE!" he shouted angrily. He moved as if to throw the equipment, but forced himself not to, breathing heavily but snapping his mouth shut as he glowered down at it.
The piece of licorice he'd been chewing on before was now lost on the floor several feet away.

Raging really wasn't going to get him anywhere, but if there was one rule Zakhav lived by, it was that no one touched his stuff. If he could throttle the pokemon without damaging his belongings, he probably would have. He glowered down at the communications device, the electric glow still shuddering and wavering around it, before another text message began. I'm sorry, Zak, I'm afraid I can't do that. The Russian's eyes narrowed into violent slits. Only for him to finally get a reign on his anger, and lean back slightly, straightening.
"How do you know my name?" he asked, his accent down to a more manageable, less enraged tone. The Rotom's head popped up, only halfway, to peek out at him. "I'm in your device," the semi-electronic voice replied, "I can read your personal information. Your name is in here." Zakhav narrowed his eyes again, but seemed to keep his anger from flaring out. "Geet. Out," he repeated, voice low, but more controlled.
The bespecled eyes stared at him a moment, before disappearing. "No."

That was it. Zakhav's grip on the device tightened, and he lifted his hand up. His pokemon watched in shock as he smashed it down onto the ground, and the odd Rotom was ejected out, shaking its head, and quickly diving for his bag. "Nyet! Not zees time!" In a flash, Zakhav grabbed the corresponding pokeball, ripping it from his belt and snapping it open, returning the pokemon just before it reached his bag. He clamped his hands down hard on the top and bottom of the pokeball as it tried to snap open, striding over to his bag, and, pinning the ball under his leg, grabbing some duck tape. Moving quickly, he sealed it, staring at the ball, now with a silver stripe around it fron the tame, with a deadly glare. "Stay een zere vhile I feegure vat to do vis you..." he muttered, climbing back to his feet. In all the commotion, he seemed to have practically forgot about the other one... and training.

Luckily him forgetting about one of those was a good thing, and as for the training, that essentially took care of itself when another Gastly appeared. Zakhav scowled a bit, but turned to face it, folding his arms over his chest. "Use Bite, Totodile," he instructed, while Daeva chittered on his shoulder. He turned, reaching up to gently pet the side of her head. She leaned into his hand, nuzzling, but then focused her attention on the battle. She wanted to fight now. She felt like she was strong enough, and there were plenty of vulnerable pokemon around. For now, though... it seemed it was that water gator pokemon's turn. She'd get her chance, though....

After the battle, Zakhav moved forward, healing Totodile up. He got him to full health, but that was just about the last of his potions, so he would have to head back soon, and make sure his pokemon didn't wear themselves out too much. Meanwhile, Daeva was bidding her time, bit her feet started kneading Zakhav's shoulder in anticipation. He reached back, moving his hand to lightly tap the side of her face with the back of his fingers, to get her to knock it off. He was focusing, because another of those annoying Rotoms had appeared, and he wanted to make sure it didn't get anywhere near his stuff. Luckily, Totodile got to it immediately, and though the Uproar did a good amount of damage, he finished it off shortly after.

This was it! As another Rotom appeared, Daeva leaped forward, baring her teeth and biting down on the ghost pokemon. Zakhav, surprised, lurched back, eyes wide with a frown on his face, only for it to quickly turn to a smirk. He watched as she dropped to the ground, wiggling in anticipation. She took the Uproar attack, shook, and leaped forward, biting down hard again, and finishing the pokemon off. Her very own victory! Zakhav smirked, stepping forward and kneeling down to gently pet her head. "Good job, Daeva," he congratulated, then picked her up, letting her get back onto his neck. "Come on, ve should at least start heading back," he added towards everyone, moving to leave the room.

Another Gastly appeared on the way back towards the entrance of the house. Daeva immediately leaped forward, biting down on it again, but was knocked back by the Night Shade attack. Daeva shook herself, then finished the pokemon off, but she was looking pretty tired. She'd grown a lot since hatching, but hadn't really been healed at the pokecenter yet, so her health was probably still fairly low. Zakhav picked her up, and returned her, letting his other pokemon lead the way.

Coming to a stop, Zakhav looked back over his shoulder. He lifted a hand to point at Deys and Sotnik, turning back to look at them. "You too, stay here," he instructed, "I need to go back and geet some uv ze material from my communications device." Sotnik and Deys both lifted their heads up, but then nodded. He could tell they were perplexed why he would have both of them stay while he doubled back, but clearly neither wanted to try and argue with their still-fuming trainer. Zakhav turned on his heel, and the other pokemon, after a moment of uncertainty, hurried after, Totodile running with his arms flapping by his sides, as if trying to take off, eager for more battling, while Lillipup worried ran on behind, looking anxiously from side to side as he ran.

Zakhav made his way back into the room, sneering and moving over to the shattered remains of his communications device. Dammit.... He would have to work on this for a while to get it back to working condition. He had some back up devices he could use, but this was the best. At least all the information was backed up... He picked up the key components, while Totodile jumped around on the available furniture, eagerly looking for any more opponents. Lillipup, meanwhile, nervously watched his trainer, but blinked as something caught his attention. He lowered his gaze down slightly, to his belt-- was that pokeball... moving?

Lillipup quizzically tipped his head to the side as he looked at the pokeball. It seemed to be bound with tape-- was that what Zakhav had been doing? So was that the pokeball that held that... that other pokemon? The one that had scared off the Gastly that were trying to gang up on him. Lillipup made a curious sound, and Zakhav turned, looking at him, and narrowing his eyes. The pup pokemon jumped a bit-- had he done something wrong? "Geev me zat," his trainer demanded, leaning down and holding out his hand. Lillipup blinked, looking down. He'd almost forgot about the item he'd found. He leaned over, placing the plate in Zakhav's hand, and sitting down as his trainer looked it over, frowning. "Very good, Lillipup. Do you vant to take a break?" he offered, putting the time away, and holding up his pokeball. Lillipup shifted, glancing around, but then shook his head. He was okay... he was fine. Totodile, meanwhile, was making a commotion, and Zakhav glanced over with a frown, returning the water pokemon, and going to meet back up with his other two pokemon.

Reaching Deys and Sotnik, Zakhav gave a jerk of his head, indicating for them to lead the way. The two pokemon exchanged looks, but turned, heading for the exit, Sotnik just a bit behind Deys, while Zakhav brought up the rear with Lillipup. They made their way out of the mansion, and Zakhav sneered, throwing a hand up against the glaring, lowering sunlight. It was that perfect time of day before the sun properly set when it was positively blinding. He supposed that meant they would likely be spending the night in Eterna City's pokecenter. Fine. They just needed to make it through the forest, anyway. Once they got there, they could see how far back they had to loop to get to the first pokecenter, so they could finally challenge it, and start getting badges.

Dumuzi had thought about it, she had thought about things very, very carefully after she had escaped that damned haunted nightmare that still infested itself into her head. She had thought about where she had been, what she had been doing up until now and also where she wanted to go in the future. There was little to no doubt in her mind at this point. She needed to do something about her situation and she was going to do it very soon. There were a few ends that needed to be tied off, and there were a few things that she needed to do in order to actually get to where she wanted to go. First thing was first, she wanted to get her Dress for her contests, then she was going to find someone to start her on her hormones that she wanted. Then, she was going to make her debut in the world of Pokemon contests. She knew that she was going to be a little fish in some big waters, but right now she really didn’t care all that much. She was going to get things rolling and she had spent a little too much time idle for her liking. In the end the idling was needed for her to get some of her thinking straight, and it gave her some quality time with her pokemon so she could understand them a lot better. They took the extended time to practice as much as Dumuzi’s limited knowledge would allow for. And even though some of her pokemon took to it better than others, she was confident that she was going to be able to at least dip her toes into the contests and see how she did. She started off fairly simply, and pulled out her Xtransciever and found a name that she wanted to spend some time with and sent a message:

Dumuzi didn’t know if her friend was going to be available or not, but she would at least check. Du took a deep breath and stepped off the property of the Old Chateau with Niamh cuddled up in her arms. Taking one last look back, she was happy to leave this place once and for all, hopefully she would be able to get through the forest with little difficulty as her pokemon were getting fairly strong. Worryingly, almost a little bit too strong for her to take on. At least she was able to get a few new pokemon just in case things turned out for the worse and she was forced to get a few ribbons under her belt before her pokemon totally rebelled on her. Dumuzi looked down at the big, pink eyes of her oddly colored Sylveon and brought her up to kiss the top of her head, much to the enjoyment of her favorite pokmeon and best friend. With one last look back at the haunted house that changed her life, Dumuzi set off for the closest city, where she planned to at least try and find some basics for her first contest. There was going to be a long road ahead of her, and she was going to have to get a move on!
