Scooping it into her arms, something Bris wasn't to found off apparently. Holding onto the victorious pokemon Yukie applied a potion to its wounds until she could get to the pokemon center. she didn't waste time on congratulations or small talk with the gym leader. Collecting her rewards and returning to Sonoko's side waiting at the door. Briss waddling close behind. "And here I thought we took all your strong pokemon." Yukie scowled and bit her lips, hard. She could feel her teeth tearing into her flesh for a moment. A rage boiled up inside her. "Stop acting so ******** smug about it before you really piss me off." Sonoko didn't blink as she held her ground, as she always did against Yukie. Honestly, she respected that about her. A spoon lifted to her mouth made pause then returned its contents to the bowl. "Huh?' Yukie hadn't given voice to her thoughts so Sonoko hadn't any context to the question. It frustrated her but she allowed it to pass without focusing on why. "My pokemon~" Sonoko was quick to respond. "You mean the pokemon you stole? I'd hardly call them your's Havick." The frustration boiled up to the surface. She wasn't wrong but still. She had no counter-argument, the ground to stand on to support her claim, nor any right to make one. "Never mind." There was an awkward silence between the pair as Yukie returned to her meal and Sonoko was left mulling something over mentally.
"It all depends I suppose. Looker won't tell me anything until his investigation is complete but I suppose anyone who can't be contacted or Pokemon who refuse to be returned to their original trainers might be on the table." Dallas kept small talk to a minimum after his embarrassing little confession about Naomi, and before long, they had reached Eterna City by the afternoon. It was definitely a lot quicker going when you weren't drunk or walking off a hangover. Still, he had gotten a few good pictures on his way through, snapping one with Tamara to put up on his Chatot page. With the message sent, he turned his attention back on Tamara. "Well then, we've made good time, Ms. Stonewall," he said, speaking professionally now that there were people around. "Shall we dine? A nice meal would go well before get some rest for the night."
Susan was still walking with Din. She had taken up Din on her offer, and promised to not call Tamara 'Princess' anymore. She didn't quite understand why, but the promise of yummies was good enough for her. Susan get yummies, Susan get yummies, all just to not say one whole word! She swayed and skipped, reciting her little hackney tune. Beltigre found her annoying, and decided to wander off on her own. The torracat found a meditite meditating under a large tree. Beltigre slunk down and stalked the pokemon before striking. Her fire fang was so surprising that it couldn't react, allowing Beltigre to finish it off with a bite attack. Taking out the pokemon started to help calm her down, so she decided to start heading back to the rest of the group.

Of course she felt bad, if only a bit, about Dallas getting embarrassed. So when he mentioned taking a picture for Austin's followers she played along, though.. She imagined she was just a bit awkward looking. She'd never taken a picture with a friend before. Sure she'd had her picture taken before with Umbra or her father in it as well, but this sort of picture felt... different. It felt more personal and less abrasive. Still, she didn't want to make a habit of getting her image grandfathered in on the internet... it wasn't a good idea after all. Keeping to herself for the time while Dallas sent a text as Austin to someone. When Austin spoke up once more, the blonde turned her attention to him with a fairly daunted look on her face. "Oh, I guess we have." She replied, looking back to the city before them. Eterna City was still fresh in her mind, having only been there just a day before. Seemed they'd either had to head East into the mountain in the distance or South... which seemed to also have the large mountain in the distance. She recalled the center of Sinnoh was primarily occupied by the large mountain range that was simply named Mount Coronet, much like the mountain range that surrounded 80% of Amarantha from the ocean and other countries, Mount Coronet was a landmark if ever there was one. "Something to eat sounds grand." She replied, looking back to Austin, her eyes then caught sight of a cafe they were going to pass. "Why not there? It has outdoor seating. You know... I've never had the chance to dine outdoors before." She added. It was the truth too.
Din meanwhile, was happy to hear Susan would refrain from calling Temperance 'princess' The sprite could live without food for the most part, being more of a mythical creature than something like Susan... who appeared to be the type that needed a lot of sustenance. Looking back when she noticed the furball, Beltigre wasn't with them she spotted the feline taking care of a Meditite. Floating back to meet up with the feline, she spotted something in the treeline, a flash of blue appeared behind Beltigre, it's fists held into the air. For whatever reason, Din went into protection overdrive, flying her body, headfirst into the blue threat, which would later be discovered to be a Machop.

Another cafe was Tamara's request, and Austin agreed with her. They hadn't really gotten the chance to enjoy the last cafe they had gone to, and it was ever so amusing to hear that his companion hadn't dined outdoors, so he really couldn't say no. "Very well, Tamara, we'll eat out-of-doors today," he replied with a genuine smile. He stifled a Dallas-style snicker, having to hold back a particularly good jab about the fancy Lady Stonewall getting to eat outside and use her own utensils and chew her own food. Even though he actually liked Tamara, he still couldn't help but come up with great (at least, to him) ways to mock her.
They made their way to the Little Budew Cafe, which was a well kept establishment with nicely maintained outdoor dining patio. Each table had its own parasol over each table, providing ample shade and ambiance. Austin was able to get them a table, even during their busy afternoon rush. It appears after his last bout, he had become somewhat of a celebrity. It was kind of nice, being able to just show up places and get seated. And once orders were made from the menu (Austin had ordered a Caesar Salad, since Dallas didn't think a fancy lad should tear into a double cheeseburger, no matter how delicious it looked), he got ready to just kick it for awhile, and enjoy some conversation. Duchess had resided to sitting next to Austin's chair, a fresh bowl of the finest Pokemon Food for her to dine on. But, that was when the idea of sitting outside became a bit of an issue.
While not all at once, a stream of young ladies and a few gentlemen walked up to their table, all wanting to take pictures with Austin or get his autograph. "Oh! Well, of course you can have my autograph!" he dutifully signed any and all offers, glancing over to Tamara as if to apologize for all the unwanted attention. Luckily the management was able to clear them out. The last one, a rather plain-looking girl, had plenty of questions about Tamara, mostly asking if they were dating or where they were going. Austin merely waved off the inquiries and stated. "She's just a dear friend, my dear. You know my heart belongs to fans like you~" As expected, she swooned, and was finally ushered away. Once they were gone, Austin shuddered. "I almost gagged myself with that cheesy crap," He looked over at Tamara, and smirked. "I didn't think it'd be this much work. Sorry for all of that, by the way."
Beltigre didn't expect to have been sneaked up on, and she definitely didn't expect that stupid lake guardian Din to be the one to bail her out of trouble. She looked over at the knocked out Machop, and realized if her instinct was to be believed, it would have really messed her up. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Din really saved her. Beltigre wasn't sure what to do; with her time with her trainer, she had learned to be mean to everybody except your closest friends. Din certainly wasn't her friend, a rival at most. The torracat glared at Din as she advanced towards the lake guardian, and after a long stare, she provided Din a pat on the head with her paw, as if to say, "It's not like I asked for your help or anything!...but thanks." And, having found all the fighting to be lame all of a sudden, she started back to where Dallas might be, hoping to get in some cuddle time. Susan had finally caught up and saw the whole thing transpire. Oooooh! Beltigre showed Din much respects! Susan loves budding friendships!

Oreburgh City was just a route away, which meant that Jinx was one uninteresting gym battle away from finishing the first task requested of her by Kaeden. Which meant that, when she called him tonight she'd be able to give him actual news. But, before she could start making her way to Oreburgh, and as eager as she was, the young woman knew she needed to make a detour to the Pokemon Center, to have the newest addition of her team checked out. She could tell that the pokemon was sick when she caught it, and she hadn't gone through all that trouble just to have the pokemon die on her; she wasn't a doctor, or pokemon specialist, so it was best to see a professional about this.
After a bit of wandering (because it took too much work to ask for directions), Jinx stepped through the automatic doors and into the air-conditioned lobby of the Pokemon Center. She'd only been in one of these facilities a handful of times, but from what she could tell they all looked the same. Interesting. "I have a pokemon I caught, it needs to be looked over." Clipped words, and clear instructions. It was what she gave the residing Nurse Joy, who blinked in surprise at the lack of greeting, but simply nodded her head before taking the pokeball the trainer handed over to her. "Okay! If you'll just give us a few minutes, we'll have a preliminary assessment conducted on your pokemon." Lingering behind, just a few feet back, Opal watched the interaction before she walked over to a chair and pulled herself into a seat.
If they were going to be here for a while, might as well take a load off.

There wasn't much she could do, without any interest to explore or go sight-seeing, so Jinx was stuck waiting with Opal for Nurse Joy to return. She slumped downward into her seat, hands gripping the metal arms, and looked up at the ceiling with a bored look etched across her face. She was quick to settle into the position, for a millisecond, before she forced herself to sit up just long enough to unhook a pokeball and release the pokemon from inside, a small Larvitar who looked around the new area with wide eyes, before she slumped back down. Jinx said nothing, and kept her head tilted up, even as Agate stared expectantly at her, cautious and with her stubby arms pulled tightly over her body.
"I wouldn't expect too much out of her." Opal commented, earning her a jumpy glance from Agate before her body relaxed. She... recognized her, she was the one who'd given her her name. Opal, seeing the recognition in the young pokemon's eyes, offered a tired smile before waving from her metal chair lofty throne. "We're just making a pit stop, but we'll be taking on a gym leader -- and be 'we', I mean you." Agate stared at Opal, eyes still wide, as she did her best to comprehend all that had been told of her. "...Why me?" she asked carefully. Opal shrugged her shoulders, smile still visible. "I thought it was obvious. You're the strongest one on her team, besides me of course, and I'm not much of a fighter." The Slowking looked down at the other, considering something, before with a heavy, and exaggerated, sigh she pulled herself out of her chair.
Agate stepped back, eyes narrowing, but forced herself to relax and regard Opal with a look of curiosity, rather than one of fear and distrust. "You'll do fine, kid, it'll be a walk in the park," she reassured, and gave her shoulder a pat for good measure. It was not a second after her pep talk had ended that Jinx straightened up from her position once again, releasing another pokemon from its capsule; a team get-together? Both Opal and Agate stared at the shark pokemon that laid out on the tiled floor in front of them, completely listless for the whole ten seconds it'd been out. Even Jinx, who'd shown no interest before, kept herself straight up in her seat to observe the strange pokemon.

Narrowing her eyes ever so lightly to 'Austins' quip about her having stated she hadn't eaten outdoors before. What had to be going on in that head of his was something she'd rather not ask about. Instead she put on her best smile and followed him to the Cafe. They arrived and were seated rather quickly, seemingly thanks to Austin's spreading fame in the contest circuit. There was a brief moment where Temperance wondered how people of a foreign region would react if they knew she was a Princess. The people of Amarantha were often to gush, and offer her things for free. She'd accept them to be polite, later having someone from the castle go to that stall or shop to purchase more things under the guise of a patron. The be honest she hated getting things for free.
The menu for the little cafe was simple and organized. Salad, Soup, Sandwiches. Certainly not a burger and fries kind of place. Opting to getting a Caesar Salad like Austin, she also ordered a sandwich platter which they graciously cut in 4's and placed between Austin and Temperance to share. Azalev and Daphnes enjoyed some seafood flavored pokefood, while Epona grazed not to far off on a small patch of grass on an empty lot nearby where Din was still floating about. It wasn't long into their lunch that a group of people stepped up to ask for Austin's autograph. She didn't mind that, but when the camera's started flashing, Temperance did her best to keep her eyes on her salad without looked as if she was purposely trying to hide her face. She had to lift her head a few times to smile up at the people as they asked questions about her specifically. She couldn't risk speaking in case one of them was taking video to post on the internet. A disguise is one thing, but her voice... it was hard to hide her accent... that and Temperance had never been very good at impersonating other countries' accents.
Apparently she wasn't the only one waiting for them to leave. As soon as the last 'fan' took their leave a bit of Dallas came out from Austin's mouth. Temperance glanced up with a smile. "This is what you wanted, no?" She replied. "Fame and fortune come with it's problems as with everything else." Leaning back, she looked a bit thoughtful as if recalling a memory. "The more you gain the more you lose..." Taking one of the sandwich quarters she gingerly bit into it, leaving a smile on her face even if it did look out of place from the look in her eyes.
Din's devilish grin returned when the feline offered a thank you to her for saving her from that Machop. She hadn't really even thought of headbutting the meat head Pokemon, but something just came over her much like with the fire punch incident. Pondering how she suddenly got all this power the lake sprite followed after Beltigre, but stopped short of Susan. 'Right, We're all buddies around here!' The sprite stated, floating around Susan then down towards Beltigre, acting as if she was sitting on the feline, but not actually touching the fire-cat's fur. Hopefully before she became to annoying for the feline, Din noticed something nearby Epona and went to investigate. Not before turning back towards the two. 'Remember Susan, you get all my yummies.' With that Din continued over to Epona.

Austin rolled his eyes at Tamara's question. "Hardly," he chuckled. "I really just wanted to compete, no more, no less. But, you have to take the good with the bad...yes, 'the more you gain the more you lose' is a harsh truth, indeed. But that's not going to stop me from showing who's best in show." He started to dine on his salad, which was definitely not going to fill him up, but was still a pleasant meal. And luckily the good lady Tamara had order a platter of sandwiches. After eating some more, he elaborated further on his feelings on popularity. "I knew that I was going to be in a spot of bother as I worked harder, but, what's a little struggle to do what you enjoy?"
It was around that time that Beltigre arrived with Susan and Din. The torracat didn't swat at Din when she 'rode' her, though Beltigre let out a low growl. But, she soon spotted her trainer, and quickly took off to jump up in his lap. Her trainer let out a little 'oof', but didn't nudge her off. Instead, he gave her some pets and even a little smooch on the head. Beltigre mewed as cutely as her intimidating evolution had allowed. Susan made what she called 'a winky face' at Din as she got closer to the group. No worries, Din-Din, Susan be a good girl for yummies. HALLO, FANCY DALPHA AND PLAIN STONEYWALL! The new name caught Austin off guard, but he still greeted Susan. "Hello, Susan. You know, it's not nice to call people plain like that." Susan nodded, but offered no explanation. Susan hungry. What's for lunch? Austin sighed with a smile, and provided her with some pokefood with the rest of the teams. Susan ran over on all fours to go eat, but was also ready to get more from Din later.
With Beltigre in his lap, it was hard to eat, but any try to nudge her off was met with stark resistance. So, he managed. "So, as you mentioned on the topic of fame and fortune and the like, it makes me wonder, what do you think of life now? Rather, how does the way you're living now compare to life back...home as it were?"

With nothing but the ticking clock to echo throughout the lobby, three pairs of eyes stared down at Aklor, waiting for her to do something, anything, other than just laying there. Their patience was rewarded as, after several more seconds had passed, Aklor propelled herself forward, lunging for Agate and Opal. Agate squealed as she dived out of the way, the latter grunting as she joined her on the floor, but was quick to roll onto her back and raise her stubby arms up in defense, preparing for a second attack. Instead, she was given a front-row seat as Aklor mangled and destroyed a chair leg, her teeth making quick work of the metal. Slowly, she pulled herself to her feet, eyes never leaving the thrashing form of the shark before her, and took several, large, steps back. Had.. had her original target been the chair, and they'd just been in the way? Or, had she been aiming for them, but was just as fine with sinking her teeth into metal as she was with flesh? Neither option comforted her.
While her pokemon picked themselves off the ground, sharing concerned looks with each other and a strong desire to distance themselves, Jinx continued to watch Aklor in awe; it was impossible to take her eyes off such flawless destruction. And so she didn't, not even when Nurse Joy returned to the lobby, a report of her pokemon at the ready, and stopped abruptly when she took sight of the blatant destruction of Pokecenter property. She gasped. Jinx leaned in her chair to get a closer look at Aklor's teeth, they were even sharper looking up close. "E-excuse me, miss!" Voicing cracking in the process, Joy called out to Jinx. "You can't just let your pokemon wreck havoc on our furniture," she reprimanded, coming down from her shock.
Jinx raised herself up, the excitement she'd felt extinguished in seconds, and looked at the pink-haired woman, letting Aklor continue on. "...I'll pay for the damages," she assured, above the sound of metal being torn to shreds; the second leg was being worked on at this point. Kaeden had told her to keep a low profile, and that meant abiding the law and keeping, some, relative peace, for now at least. Joy nodded, firmly, still displeased but content with the promise of reimbursement. Jinx stood to her feet, "Do you have a report on my pokemon?" That was why she'd come back out, hadn't she? ...Unless the noise had brought her out. "Yes, I do. But, first let me ask you a question. When did you get your Sember?" So that was its species was called. "About twenty minutes ago, in the forest." Nurse Joy nodded slowly, shoulders involuntarily relaxing, "He was poisoned, most likely by a Weedle, several days ago and his immune system was greatly weakened. We've treated him for it, but he'll need to rest for several days. I can give you a bit of medicine that'll help strengthen his immune system -- it'll be pill based, so you'll just have to make sure to feed it to him every morning for a week."
With instructions given, Nurse Joy stepped back into the examination room (or whatever room one went perform pokemon check-ups), with one worried look at Aklor and its one-fourth remainder of a chair, and returned with both medicine and Sember's pokeball, both of which she gave to Jinx. She examined both, the former receiving a more scrutinized and curious look than the latter, before putting them away. In return, Jinx paid the nurse for the destroyed chair and left the building shortly after, returning the immobile Aklor beforehand.
Her only task had been completed, so they could continue forth. Finally.

Nodding in agreement, her male companion had it right. It was good to hear his main focus hadn't been to become famous, but more ended up being an occupational hazard. The world needed more people who wanted to achieve their dreams with little monetary gain. Aside from being a princess, and wanting to save her country... Temperance felt she really didn't have a dream of her own. Not like Dallas, with his contests. Being the princess wasn't something she had to work for... she was handed the position when born. "Isn't there another saying? Oh, No pain no gain." Temperance smiled, adding on to her previous saying. Temperances' smile was quickly replaced with one of confusion when Dallas' Pokemon returned, Susan being her usually loud self caught Temperance off guard with her use of 'Plain Stoneywall' She was used to Susan calling her Stoneywall, as if it was just another nickname being added to her growing pool, but "Plain?" She inquired, looking more hurt than angry. Austin was quick to defend her, sort of.
Setting aside the newest nickname, Temperance looked back towards the direction they'd come from. Din was just getting done dealing with a Meditite and was on her way to join the group with Epona in tow. Her ears caught Austin's question, returning her gaze to the male she pondered an answer. "Well... I don't mind it. To live like this for the rest of my days. Traveling with good company, or just traveling in general. But... I have obligations to my home, and once I'm done with... traveling, I'll have to return." When and if she was able to return, and if she was able to end her Uncles war... She'd be crowned Queen, and her freedom to travel willy-nilly would become less and less possible. As painful a thought as it was, it was her destiny.
Floating over Epona as if riding the pony, Din felt the constant shift of emotions coming from Temperance. The self-doubt the girl felt still present. 'Humans are pretty hard to read, aren't they?' The sprite asked rhetorically. Epona answered regardless with a simple shake of her muzzle. 'Yea, you get it. It's rare to find a non-psychic with as much insight as you, Epona.' Din added, floating forward to rest between the pony's ears. At a moments notice Epona could easily heighten the fahrenheit of her flames, burning Din, but she kept her flames calm. She didn't mind Din's invasion of her personal space. She really didn't mind anyone, even Temperance coming to close. Overhead, a rather loud screeching interrupted their quiet walk to join the group. Looking up it was a Zubat, one of the most annoying creatures Din had encountered in her years. Being stuck half-buried underground with the darn things for roughly 3 generations would do that to a person; or Pokemon. Flying up using Zen Headbutt like she'd done with the Machop she quickly ended the flying rat's noise.

Austin had almost forgotten about Tamara's true reason for traveling, and that strange guilty feeling came back. Oh ********. The whole coup thing with the dead father. He poked at his salad and took a bite to stall while came up with something to say. "You really do have a lot on your plate, Tamara," he said. "But, there's nothing saying that once you get things sorted that you can't go live your own life. Just because your father- Arceus rest his soul- was the...'chief of police', so to speak, doesn't mean you have to follow the same path. She prepared to try and look at Tamara's, but then the zubat showed up with its annoying call. Din took it out with ease, but soon another one showed up. Shaddup, zubat! Susan can't hear self think! Susan batted at the Zubat while she tried to concentrate, all while the Zubat blasted her with Ghost-type attacks. Susan tried to calm herself again, and again, but she finally had enough. WRAAHRRR! Susan pounced on low-flying zubat, and bit it angrily while blasting it with Psychic energy. This got the attention of her Dalpha, who stood to see the display. "Susan! spit out that zubat immediately!" Susan snapped out of it, and looked at her trainer as she spat out the fainted bat. ...Zubat started it.

If we want to save time, why not try camping again? We're heading towards Mount Coronet, correct?" Offering Austin a smile she motioned towards the mountain with a quick nod. Of course a soft, warm bed sounded just as nice. But a night under the stars would be certainly called for.
Din grinned deviously as Susan snatched a Zubat up and fainted it between her teeth. The odd Gardevoir was quick to be reprimanded for the way she'd dealt with the flying rat, but Din was very much appreciative, floating over to Susan to rest on her shoulder. 'Those things don't know when to quit.' Din stated sticking her tongue out at Susan's fainted Zubat. 'Vermin, the lot of'em. I say you did great.' The psychic added patting the side of Susan's head lightly.
