Evidently, she had at least one more friend that was more than happy to 'entertain' them. Why these giggling women found the group of independent pokemon so adorable, he didn't know-- and from the looks of it, neither did Deys, or Daeva-- but it was certainly to their benefit. They were at least getting that training done, though he was unsure whether it would be enough or not. Zakhav hadn't exactly been specific on how strong he wanted them to get... Luckily, Totodile was clearly rearing to go, and eagerly rushed forward to obliterate their opponent's first pokemon.

If the first battle was made for Sotnik, this one seemed to be made for Totodile. Deys had closed his eyes and folded his wings over his chest, and the servine was watching warily in case the gator tried something. For the most part, though, he just seemed to be gleefully celebrating the fact that he was now facing off with another fire type. There was something just a little wrong in the degree to which he was enjoying this, and Sotnik wasn't really sure if there was a 'proper' way to handle that, or if it was even his job to. What did it even mean to be the leader of this group? He frowned, watching as the Monferno collapsed after another Aqua Tail attack from Totodile. Hopefully Zakhav would be satisfied with whatever they managed to get done...

Meanwhile, Lillipup was still struggling to find what he'd been smelling. He had, however, located something else, and after finding that it would take a bit more work to find the source of that smell, he decided to go give this to Zak, first. He trotted his way over to his trainer, giving another yip to inform him of his arrival. Zak looked up from his computer to look lazily over at him. The trainer hit 'send' to finish what he was doing, and set the laptop aside, Meebus appearing to peek out over the screen. Zakhav reached a hand out to receive the object frowning, and scowling a bit. "Vhat ees zees?" he muttered, looking at it. Meebus suddenly perked up, flying out of the computer, and snatching up the object. He soared up, the object glowing and morphing, growing larger and expanding. Meebus disappeared into it as it did-- and suddenly, there was something entirely different than his usual form looking back at him. "... Vhat." Zak looked with a flat expression, caught between the initial annoyance, and dumbfounded confusion. Lillipup, meanwhile, just stared with awe.

Zakhav blinked, then narrowed his eyes. "Vhat... ze hell..." he muttered. Meebus seemed to straighten up a little in his Heat form, then turned to Zak, and gave a wave-- before crashing towards the computer. Reflexively, Zak jerked to stop him, but relaxed when the large oven-form came to a stop beside the computer. It reached out a pan-like, hand, connecting with the device, and 'plugging in', so to speak. 'I can change forms with these plugs, Zak-hav.' Dammit, he found the audio program. Zak frowned. 'If you let me use a heart scale to relearn thundershock, I will also be able to learn several different moves, depending on what form I'm in,' he elaborated, 'In this form, it would be Heat Wave.' Oh well okay that had his attention. Zak narrowed his gaze, eying the ghost warily. He glanced back at Lillipup, then lifted a hand to wave him off. "Go see vhat else you cahn find," he instructed. Lillipup blinked, shifting his focus from the curious sight of Meebus' new form, to his trainer, then nodded and bounded off again. Zakhav turned his focus back to the pokemon.
"So... vhat, you are un oven now. Does et change your typing?" he questioned, frowning. 'I am fire electric, now,' Meebus replied. "Hm." This was actually looking to be something worth looking into. Zakhav started to reach for a pokeball to return Meebus, but in a second, the pokemon had left the plug and was back hiding in his computer. Zak stopped, staring. "... Fine, I von't return you," he muttered, watching as Rotom darted back out of the computer, and into the plug. He was actually surprised he believed him, but he stuck to his word, and let go of the pokeball.

Shaking his head a bit, Zak began packing up. He had caught on that, unlike some ghosts, Meebus couldn't just communicate telepathically, so he took the initiative. "Ve should go find ze uzzers," he explained, the rotom floating nearby, "Perhaps battle ze gym leader." Meebus' reaction, if he had any, was unreadable. He merely blinked, and began floating along along with Zak, following him on the search for the pokemon. Lillipup, meanwhile, was struggling away to find the object he'd been searching for, climbing over several crates to sniff around near a building. He knew it was around here somewhere...

Back with the other pokemon, they hit a bit of a hurdle. Sorta small, and yet sort of... legendary. 'What is that thing...' Sotnik muttered. Deys shook his head, but pulled Totodile back, stepping forward, and using Blizzard to quickly wipe it out. He had been on the sidelines enough-- Totodile could have undoubtedly finished it off, and easily, but he needed to do some training as well. Loyal as he was to Zakhav, the trainer would not hesitate to get mad at him if he didn't get stronger as well.

Zakhav found the pokemon apparently battling a group of girls. Totodile was now facing off with a stunky. Zak smirked as he watched, folding his arms over his chest. With one bite, Totodile had frozen it, and with the next, finished it off. For a crazy pokemon, the gator was actually pretty smart sometimes, and he had a lot of spunk. A reason he had snitched him when he got the chance. Speaking of... he needed to get back to tracking. Shaking his head, he dropped his arms, walking over to approach the group. He needed to start herding his pokemon up so they could challenge the gym leader.

Zak arrived as the opponent's final pokemon was sent out. A fighting type... interesting. His pokemon still hadn't noticed him approaching, so he stood back a bit, watching what they'd do. As soon as Deys and Sotnik exchanged a glance, and nodded to one another, he approached, while Deys moved forward to take on the opponent. "Eenteresting choice," he remarked, startling his starter, who looked up in surprise, "But zen again, Deys does have ze strongeest move... He ees also veak to fighting, you know." Sotnik stared up at him, then looked grimly to the battle, watching as Deys began the battle.

Zakhav smirked as Deys endured the attack and finished off his opponent with a massive overkill. The woman gave a trilling cry and hurried forward to her frost bitten pokemon, while Deys kept his place. The woman's friends frowned sympathetically, but glanced up, noticing Zak. The first woman that had battled the group gave a smile, toddling on over. "Hello dear! These your pokemon?" she asked kindly. Zakhav's smirk died and he looked at her out of the corner of his eye, before turning, gesturing absently. "Da," he replied unenthusiastically. "Well, they're all very cute. And strong! I was very impressed by how well they handled themselves, especially without a trainer. You were busy, I take it?" Zak narrowed his eyes at her polite tone. Was she just a kindly lady or was she being smart with that question? "Da, I had several sings I vas takeeng caire uv..." he muttered. She nodded a little. "I see! Well, they didn't sustain a lot of damage, but a few did take a couple of hits. I assume you'll be challenging the gym leader," she added, starting to make her way back towards her friends, "So good luck!"
Zakhav stared after them, frowning slightly as he watched them disappear into the pokecenter. He wasn't sure how to take all that... so, ultimately, he disregarded it, and turned back to appraise his pokemon. "Gud job," he remarked, "Most uv you look stronger. Sotnik... Ve vill be going to ze gym vonce ze uzzers are healed at ze pokemon center... but I vant you to go find sum vild pokemon to battle vhile I take caire of zat." The servine lifted his head, but then nodded. Zak returned the gesture and turned. "Gud. I vant you to eevolve az soon az possible," he stated, turning to head towards the pokecenter with the other pokemon.
Sotnik watched after them, then turned, hurrying off. He was able to find two wild pokemon, but the second battle did a lot of damage, and he hurried to the pokecenter, hoping to get healed.

Sotnik arrived in the pokecenter to find that Lillipup had returned to give Zak another item he found. Everyone else was finishing up being healed as he made his way over, shuffling up and rubbing his arm, which still hurt a bit from the Zubat's wing attack. Zakhav glanced down, first dismissively, but then a second time with a narrowed stare. "You're turn," he muttered, and just as the servine looked up, surprised, he returned him, tossing the pokeball to Nurse Joy, who squeaked a bit in surprise, and grappled with the ball before catching it. She gave him a questioning, uncertain glance, then placed the pokeball with the others. Once everyone was healed-- yes, even Meebus-- he let Sotnik, Deys, Meebus, and Lillipup out, sending the pup off to continue hunting items down.
"Ve vill be going to ze gym... but vhile ve go, I vant to vork on everyvone's movesets. Meebus... you said thundershock vould turn to uzzer moves, yes?" he questioned, pulling some items from his bag. The rotom nodded, unable to communicate without an electric device. He glanced at it, quirking an eye from the silence, then looked thoughtfully down, before resuming. "Right, zen..."
A few minutes later, he arrived at the gym, no one but Sotnik out, the servine standing tall by his side. "Gardenia, I vould like to challenge you," he drawled. She poked her head out, then emerged, walking to the battle field with a smile. "Hi there! I see you've come knowing my name. Oh! And you have a grass type!" she observed, grabbing her first pokeball, "You have good tastes!" Zak smirked a little, a lazy grin crossing his face. "Right... shall we?" he remarked, forcing the accent (mostly) from his voice, for the time being. "You asked for it~!"

Yours and your pokemon's combined efforts have won you the Forest badge and the TM Grass Knot." each item was handed off at each reveal. "I assume you'll be challenging the third gym leader soon. Good luck against Maylene; she really packs a punch."

Zak smirked, returning Meebus, who blinked before disappearing into the pokeball. "Deys haz a habeet uv surprising people," he admitted, tucking the pokeball away, and stepping forward to receive the spoils of his victory. He gave a nod. "I vould assume so," he replied, his accent heavily slipping through, his mind already elsewhere. The battle had gone by fast, but by the time the second match was ending, he was already planning what to do next. His pokemon weren't that strong, yet, but he knew an easy way to train them up and make some progress-- go battle other gyms. He figured he might as well return to Unova and challenge the gyms there. It was, technically, his 'starting' region, after all.
And on the way, he could work on his communication device... and maybe start devicing another, smaller device for Meebus. Maybe. The pokemon... was looking to be rather useful, after all.

Scarlett moved into Eterna City without much pleasure, feeling bored, and ultimately like she wasn't getting anywhere. She had caught new pokemon, but she was picking up slack, not getting ahead. Maybe not even then... She needed to get stronger, faster, if she even had a chance of surpassing Zak. He had said she would likely not be called in a long time, but time was a vague and fickle perception. For all she knew, he could contact her tomorrow, and if that was the case, she wanted to be ready for him. Stronger faster, that meant challenging gym leaders, but to challenge gym leaders, she needed to train first, and wild pokemon just weren't doing the trick.
That meant she needed to find some... Social interaction. Ugh. Scarlett grumbled and moved up to the first person she laid eyes on, or at least the first person who had pokemon with them. Wouldn't be much good if she challenged someone who didn't have any pokemon after all. Though upon approaching girl, Scarlett began to second guess her action. This girl looked like a total creep, messy hair, tattered clothes, and ghost pokemon floating around her. Scarlett had heard of these types of trainers... Hex Maniacs they were called. Even Scarlett was a little perturbed as the girl locked eyes with her and gave a creepy smile. "Ssssoo.... You want to battle....?" Scarlett grimaced. "Yea, but how'd ya know that...?" Scarlett wasn't sure if she should ask. "The voiiices told mee....." Oh, of course. The voices. Why hadn't she thought of that. Scarlett's eye twitched slightly as she readied her pokemon. "DON'T MOCK THEM." The Hex Maniac hissed. Oh boy, what was with all these cuckoo trainers...? So far Zak was the most normal person she'd met, and that.... Was saying something honestly.

The Hex Maniac first sent out a Gastly, which made things rather easy in Scarlett's eyes. "Bite Mako." Scarlett nodded towards the poison gas pokemon. Most pokemon probably would have hesitated at the idea of biting something that was made of poison, but not Mako. He was steel type, but even that didn't have any effect on the shark's willingness to bite a Gastly, it was the sheer fact that he always wanted to clamp down hard on anything he could get his little jaws on. Thankfully, that rash nature worked in Scarlett's favor as the steel type rushed at the gastly and chomped ferociously, shaking his head from side to side as he did so before spitting the ghost back out, completely knocked out.
