Eterna City is a city in the region of Sinnoh; it is an older city, showing the signs of history.
There is a rather large statue of the ancient Pokémon Dialga and Palkia on the east side of town. The statues were once the main center of festivals in the town, although signs of the town's culture and rituals have started to slip away.
Of late, both Team Galactic and Cynthia have become interested in the statues.

As usual when he first entered the city he would scout the place out, find out if there were any important places, and in this case he was growing curious about who the gym leader was. He wanted to know just what he would be up against when he battled this leader, thriving off of his last victory he was intrigued to see just who he would be facing in the next battle.

A very curious statue that contained the images of two legendary Pokemon, Dialga and Palika, two Pokemon who together could control time and space. Admiring the statue King realized that the legendary Pokemon in this region were heads above the others in terms of power they were capable of. Sinnoh held many secrets but perhaps the most intriguing to the masked trainer were that of Dialga and Palika, he definitely needed to look into that moreso. Although neither the time nor place to look into these legendaries he would be sure to make a note of them.

Chingling, a pokemon he wasn't familiar with, scanning it with the Pokedex he found that it was a psychic type, without anything super effective against it he would just be using his strongest comrade, Prinplup.

Training in the area was going well, he was progressing well with his Pokemon. Unable to find any information about the Gym leader he was distracted by the statue and his urge to train. With some time to kill he had a chance to look up information on the leader from the townsfolk, as well as giving him a chance for respite after his fairly vigorous training session. Taking into account the fact that he needed to put more work in as the gyms increased in difficulty. He was used to it from his first trek against the gym in the Kalos region, he hadn’t gotten too far into the league but he knew how the system worked.

King showed an interest in strong pokemon, especially those with dual types. Having travelled on a Pokemon journey beforehand he was aware of which types he liked to use on his journey. With a partial team in mind he was looking forward to seeing just how he would build up his team this time around. He didn’t follow his previous strategy, of using mostly steel types, but this time he was mostly interested in powerful Pokemon that would suit his aggressive and tactical style of battle. Aware of an area in Kalos that bore many powerful pokemon he determined that after defeating this gym leader he would make an effort to return to Kalos and capture a pokemon with great and powerful potential.

Knowing that he was heading to Kalos his first priority was defeating this gym leader, not wanting to allow himself to slack he wanted to ride out the wave of his last victory but doing as much as he could. Totally interested in completing the league at Sinnoh he was without question going to return. He was more than likely going to visit with Professor Sycamore once in Kalos and obtain one of the starter Pokemon he offered. While he was there he considered returning home, but would probably leave the homecoming for later.

Although his current plan was to travel to the Kalos region it was going to be subject to change based on how things were progressing in Sinnoh. The train station that led to Luminose city was in the city of Veilstone, the location of Sinnoh League’s third gym leader. Worried that he was rushing through the system he wanted to be prepared for the battles ahead of him, no matter how intense that they would be. He was interested in long term goals and successes, so his short term goals were subject to change as things came up. While his trip in Eterna was brief he felt as if he had accomplished much already and was enjoying his time in Sinnoh, if you could say anything about it that is.

Removing the TM from his bag that he had received from Roark he decided that the ability to use Stealth Rock would come in handy during close battles. Any amount of damage and strategic gains he could make he would have to, there was no way that he could allow himself to be defeated by something as simple as overlooking a type advantage, Larvesta for example, was weak to flying types, who took a fair amount of damage from the stealth rock move. It was a very technical move that would be something that could be effective in the future.

Gardenia, was the gym leader he was up against next. She was a grass type trainer, another favorable matchup with Larvesta at the helm. His bug/fire typing made him the prime candidate to take out Gardenia’s grass types. Unable to find out which Pokemon she would be using he would be going in blind, but inferring she was only the second gym leader in the league he didn’t expect much from her. Larvesta, along with Prinplup’s Oblivion Wing and even Snorunt’s favorable type, he didn’t think this gym would pose him too much of a challenge. The gym leaders were tough and unpredictable trainers however and they surely had more than a few tricks up their sleeve. He needed to be prepared for whatever awaited him in the Eterna city gym.
