Even from this distance, he could see the landscape start to change, a white expanse leading out for miles. While pretty, he didn't delay in sleeping on the coat, hat and gloves his mother had gifted him not too long ago. The coat was incredibly poofy, and he felt like a green marshmallow; as big as it was, however, he knew how vital this would be during his search in the city with literal snow in its name.

Goldenrod got a few flurries during the winter months, but it was nothing compared to the winter blanket that greeted him once he, officially, arrived in Snowpoint.

Staraptor didn't seem to share the same wonderment and joy of the snow, taking to the nearest tree top once she'd let Huey off, and she wasn't the only one. Rags was less than pleased and he grumbled to himself, hiking up his 'pants' all the while, and kicked out against a random spot of snow. It was cold! And he much preferred staying inside his pokeball than being exposed to this weather. But, at the same time, he refused to be outdone by Cloud who, even when barely coming above the snow, still showed an excitement and exuberance of his surroundings.

Speaking of Cloud. While Huey was grateful for the Togepi's, perpetual, cheerfulness and excitement, he couldn't help but worry that this wasn't the right setting for the small pokemon. His size already made it difficult to keep an eye on him, and that wasn't even including his unique coloring; that pale blue would blend right on in with the natural landscape, and Cloud would potentially become lost. Fearing this, Huey opted to give Cloud the opportunity of being his 'watcher', and from the safety of his arms the two quickly moved about the city, trying to locate an egg.

After several minutes of searching, the team finally managed to snag an egg, and from there it was a quick dash--or as quickly as one could, while moving through inches of heavy snow--back to their ride. All were returned, Rags in particular rather grateful for this, and after stuffing his egg away, Huey gave Staraptor the chance to shake herself free of any clinging snowflakes before he climbed back on. Hopefully, the next place they went to would be a little warmer than this.

Snowpoint, in fact. Ajicka vaguely recalled being here before, but honestly, she was getting a little beyond thinking. Torchic wasn't really enough to stay warm. She ended up setting the little bird aside and grabbing a coat after all, then bundling the starter up in her jacket again to heat up. Alright, maybe that reaction was a little strong, but she wasn't especially happy at the moment. Her head was still kind of hurting and felt rather foggy, and she had a weird sort of mixed guilt in the pit of her stomach that she couldn't associate with anything. Having to freaking.... cuddle her own Pokémon only made her more uncomfortable. She was seriously considering just going into the pokecenter or something to get warm. For the moment, though, she shuffled along and looked around, squinting for signs of color amongst all the white snow.

Trying to remember the last time she'd even been in weather like this -- and finding she couldn't -- Ajicka forced herself to relax some. Fighting the cold did no good, just wasted energy and irked her. The cold seeped in more easily when she uncoiled from her hunched position, but it didn't bother her as much. Being relaxed -- or trying to be -- made it a lot easier to shrug it off. And it made her feel a little more successful at not letting things get under her skin.

Luckily, it didn't take much longer for Sableye to find another egg. Ajicka frowned a bit as she took the plastic object. She really needed to find more of these herself; she wasn't the sort to just let her Pokémon do all the work. Plus, she wanted to be responsible for most of them when she turned them in. She wasn't sure if that was possible at this point, but at the very least, she could put more effort into finding each one so that she was trying. Which she would do, starting with Veilstone.

The group begrudginly dispersed, bracing against the cold, while Zak moved off on his own, scanning each building, every street, for eggs, and for familiar faces. It wasn't like his family was the only group that would recognize him; he grew up here. There were old friends, though mostly parents, and elderly individuals who had been here a while, and would likely recognize him regardless of how long it had been. He looked enough like his dad that even people he had never met, tended to recognize him as one of the Yashin kids. When he was a teenager, he'd seriously considered tattooing his face and growing out his hair just to correct that.

Keeping an eye out, Zak subtly dodged a few familiar figures, before stopping and leaning against the corner of one of the buildings. Why was he not surprised.... Mable -- May, if you didn't want to get punched in the throught -- was outside, reading a book with an expression very much reminiscent of the one he often wore. Despite the cold, she was in shorts and a tank top, as was per usual. Given she was the oldest, and half-lived by herself elsewhere, when she was around, she was almost never in the house. It was why A] last time he was here, he didn't see her, and successfully avoided his family, and B] she was the only one he was likely to find (intentionally or not), consistently.

Ze ******** are you doing here?" He snapped his head around to see her striding towards him, a frown on her face. He grimaced a bit. Okay well, guess he didn't have much to say on the matter. "Just swinging through," he replied, eying her and moving off the building, "I'm just looking for an egg..." She made an annoyed sound. "You too? Zak looked her over, trying to gauge her annoyance levels. She -- like him -- was usually in a bad mood, but she tended to simmer at a level better than him, whereas he jumped the range. She might be annoyed, but she'd usually stay annoyed, whereas he coudl easily leap to furious with just the slightest provocation. Of course, that meant she could be angry, and would stay there, too.... She didn't seem that upset, though, despite her words. She also had the same dark blue hair he did, though it was longer, died up into a short, spiked bun/ponytail with her bangs down, longer one one side with a scar starting mid-forehead and disappearing under her hair as it slid off to the side. Bar fight, and even then, she'd punched the guy's lights out after he smashed a bottle over her face.
".... How is everyvone?" he asked, like he hadn't been totally avoiding them. She gave him a look, sneering just a bit, but he didn't falter under the look. "Same as always. Dad's working more than usual, think he and mom fought. The kids are helping mom out, and no one talks about you," she stated. He scowled some. "I love you sister," he drawled, rolling his eyes, "Your honesty is so refreshing..." She reached over, giving his head a hard palm to the forehead. "You need it to pop that ego," she sneered back. The looked over as a curious Sotnik approached, flanked by the other two, an egg in his mouth. May drew her arm back and folded her arms over her chest. She gave him a look, her lips curling unpleasantly when she found him already on his communicator. "I'll tell everyone you said hi," she offered dryly. He galnced up, staring at her a moment, then looking over as the Xatu appeared. "... Sanks," he muttered, before dropping his arm, and disappearing.
