Iiiiit was getting worse. The man giving Adder a ride to the egg locations looked back as they landed and saw the kid's eyes squeezed tight, and a look of pained terror on his face. He was pretty sure there were tears at the corner of his eye. Not to mention he couldn't breath. His ribs were going to be sore for a week after this. Seriously, the kid had a death grip on him. "Hey, little one. Mind trying to stir him?" he asked, not bothering to try himself. Hadn't worked before, and if he could avoid trying to get a crowbar to the kids arms, he would. The pichu that had been on his own shoulder (thoroughly enjoying the ride) blinked, then looked down at its trainer, and seemed to realize something was wrong. It hopped down, chirping and gently prodding Adder's cheek with both hands. Sniffling, the boy eventually opened his eyes, looking at the pokemon. At the slightest sign of him relaxing his grip, the man quickly freed himself, taking in another deep breath, before getting off his pokemon. Arceus...

The kid was able to get off on his own, but he seemed much more subdued this time. He pulled his pichu in close, almost hugging it, but not quite. "Sorry..." he muttered. "Chyaaaa...." The pichu looked up at him, seeming at least a little concerned, or at least uncertain. The man got the impression the kid didn't apologize much, and probably only did so from the trauma of flying as much as he had. "It's fine. Go work on finding that egg, I'll see if I can find someone to teleport you," the older trainer muttered, rubbing his side. No way he could go through that again... maybe he could get Alicia to help...

Adder slinked off, feeling remarkably nauseous and unsteady on his feet. He suddenly really wish he had a large pokemon he could balance himself against, but the closest he had was Toucannon, and.... huh. He actually hadn't spent a lot of time with the bird pokemon, despite it's rapid evolution, and remarkable usefulness in the previous battle. He paused a moment, before releasing the bird, eying it and receiving a cool gaze in return. "I need help finding an egg," he informed him, before reaching back to pull out one of the ones from a previous location, The bird lifted its head, then nodded, before expanding its wings and taking off. Ugh... he'd actually hoped for a bit more help getting around, but.... at least he didn't have to worry about moving so much....

Deciding to distract himself some, while still looking for the egg, Adder started going through his pokemon. He took away each item to put back in his bag, figuring that, for the time being, it was probably better to just keep things clear. He absently set Pichu down to do so, telling him to assist in looking as well, and didn't say much to his pokemon as he went through them. Some were barely recovered from the battle. He would really need to heal them, and soon....

With the three of them (or more like 2.5) searching, it didn't take too long to find an egg. It was actually Pichu that found it, though Adder let Toucannon stay out of his pokeball as well. It was about then that he realized that the electric type's exp share had broken, and he made a mental note to buy another one before he started training again. He would also probably want to really look into evolving the small pokemon as soon as he could, so he could use him adequately.... but first, there was the matter of getting to the location. Lucky for him, that had been solved. "Found you an 'alternative means of transportation'," the guy announced, tucking away his communicator as Adder came back over, "She should be here soon. Her name's Alicia." Adder looked at the guy, but nodded, not.... feeling especially talkative. Hopefully whatever she had in mind would be a little easier on him...

As expected, Snowpoint city lived up to it's name. Year-round covered in deep snow, the city was near impossible to get around unless you had a Pokemon build for snow travel, or a sled. Landing outside the Pokemon center, Arietty and Mave quickly sunk deep into the snow, giving their natural body heat was enough to melt the snow, it only made sense. Both fire-types made a small patch in the snow, allowing Tay and Avikna to get off their backs without being ankle deep in the freezing white powder. "Nurse Joy might have some coats we could borrow for the time being." Avikna mentioned, thinking only of this fact now. As far as days go, it seemed the weather was rather mild as of now. They hadn't had a need to fly over or threw any snow clouds, and the sun was high in the sky, giving off a warmth to counter the chill of the snow. Still, a jacket was in order.

Fully equip to deal with the chilly weather, Avikna and Tay rejoined the outside world. Having Mave lead the way, to create a dent in the snow, the group slowly made their way to a small area where the egg hunt was taking place. Rather, where a large amount of trainers had taken up their search. Tay and Avikna were no strangers to snow, neither were Mave or Arietty, Nepherit, Cotee Elias and even Freya were however. Elias for the most part didn't know where to land without having his talons covered in the wet, cold, substance, eventually settling for a branch after attacking it to knock the snow free. Nepherit hopped around the snow, following Arietty's foot steps. Cotee and Freya in the meantime tagged along under Tay's coat. Cotee didn't seem to care for the chill, but Freya was a bit bolder, going so far as to hop down to the ground, only to retreat to Tay's coat once she found out just how cold the white stuff was. Tay couldn't help but chuckle at the little mouses curiosity. Kneeling down she offered both the mice a Sweet Heart, telling them munch on their treat as Tay moved forward to begin her search.

Tay quickly gained some attention, seemingly by the local sinnoh trainers taking part in the egg hunt. Traveling with many not-of-this-region Pokemon, anyone would have been. Regardless, the center of attention seemed to be Freya. Her unique colouring was something to behold. As she looked almost like a walking cranberry. Freya wasn't a fan to much of the attention she was getting, but with Tay and Cotee there with her, she managed to stay revealed for people to see her. Though not all the attention she was getting turned out good. "So what if she has a funny looking Pichu!" An older trainer called from the gathered group. "My Pokemon would easily crush it." He sneered. Tay furrowed her brow, stepping forward with stern look on her face. "Yea!? Wanna bet?" She voiced, using a line she'd heard the boys at her school use when a disagreement started. "Yea, I do! How 'bout your funky lookin' Pichu verse my Pumpkaboo?" Tay bobbed her head in agreement, though it wasn't Tay who was going to fighting this battle in the end.

Watching the entire altercation, Avikna grew increasingly concerned with the male's disposition. Something about him didn't set right with her. When he released his seemingly harmless little Pumpkaboo, she quirked a brow. What was so special about that? Of course, he had type advantage on his side, which warranted Avikna to move forward, arms folded. It became evident this was going to be far more than a unfair fight. Unleashing a Shadow ball attack, Freya flew back, before even Cotee could step in to defend her companion. Tay quickly collected her fallen friend, eyes narrowed at the boy. "What was that?" Tay frowned. Avikna stepped forward, saving Cotee from doing it instead. "Tell me, you're no newbie are you?" Avikna inquired. "Never said it was. I just said my Pokemon was better." The boy retorted smugly. "Really now?" Looking up into the sky, Avikna narrowed her gaze. Traveling through the thick snow-filled clouds Ookoth could just barely be seen. "Ookoth, come down here." Avikna spoke, using a sharp and demanding tone. The lizard in the sky seemingly ignored her for a moment, before spiraling backwards, and coming down to the earth, sending up a gust into the air, sending loose powdered snow floating outward. A chorus of ooh's and ahh's erupted from the crowd, including the male with his Pumpkaboo. "Y-you don't scare me!" The boy voiced. "Premera, use Shadow Ball again!" The male shouted. Thus it was Ookoth's turn to finally get in some battling after his long rest.

Suddenly it was Avikna's turn to become the center of attention, even after Ookoth returned to the skies to recover from what little damage he'd taken. Though one good thing came from the battle. It unearthed a couple eggs, that were quickly snatched up, including by Tay. With the egg in hand, the two quickly mounted Arietty and Mave, leaving the trainers to watch in awe, until finally the two of them were beyond the horizon, heading for the next location.

It became very clear very quickly that the fabric was designed for protection, rather than warmth, as cool air crept in from below, and the warm air that was trapped within it slowly grew cold as well.
