Snowpoint City is a snow-covered city located at the far north of Sinnoh, where snow blows down from the top of Mt. Coronet causing low temperatures. Snowpoint City and the routes that lead to it are also completely covered in snow.
To the west of the city, Lake Acuity can be found.
Given the snow which makes for hard travel on the routes leading to the city, as well as the fact that to get to the city from the rest of Sinnoh one must pass through Mt. Coronet, the most convenient way to get to the city is to Fly.
There is a port here in which the player can access the Northeastern Island.
Although Snowpoint City is not home to much, a noticeable landmark in the area is Snowpoint Temple. Although it is not normally open to travelers. The temple contains five floors, with odd bits of slippery ice, which prove hazardous to unwary explorers.

Arriving at Snowpoint City (after a bit of slipping and sliding, using Jas as support and, admittedly, letting him carry her over a few slippery patches via air travel), Ajicka headed for the pokecenter, returning her Charizard thankfully, and ducking inside. It was much warmer, and she gave her pokemon over to be healed up, even though none had really sustained much damage on the trip over. She spent her time waiting for them to be healed by going to buy some better winter clothes, as well as some training items-- she didn't plan to be in the area long, but they had a gym, and this wasn't the only region with some chilly locations. She needed to be prepared, and now seemed as good a time as any to stock up.

The shop had a few curious items, including and odd mushroom that Ajicka picked up and ended up buying. If it did what the salesman said it did... it could end up being insanely useful. But, she'd see. For now, she wanted to get her things together, and find out about the Ferry that would take her to the island she really wanted to get to, where she could train. Just a little longer, and she would be able to start battling like never before. And, of course... bonding with her pokemon. She really did intended to spend more time with them while they trained. She just got a little... side tracked at times.

Grabbing her things, she quickly collected her pokemon, attaching her main team to her belt and heading off. She had just found out the ferry would be leaving in five minutes, and though she coudl technically fly on Fearow, she wanted to save his strength, and keep him out of the cold. She was able to find the docs, bundled up in her jacket, and quickly boarded once she had paid the fee. She didn't really have any pokemon that would be especially fond of the climate-- at least, not with her-- but she let Swampert out to lunge on the deck with her, despite the cold, and Bagon released himself from his ball to keep her company.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Deoxys soaring along up above, but she yawned and closed her eyes, and soon lost track of him as she drifted off.

Cold, cold, cold those were the first thoughts as Noivern landed and Simon returned him. The snow was deep in some places as he could see the darker areas. On the plus side, along with his breath he could see where the Meteors had struck. Realizing that he had a fire power up item he sent out Pignite and gave him the piece of Charcoal before returning him again. Then he trudged through the snow to search for either a Pokemon or a shard.

Going into one area suddenly the snow started to whip around. Sending out Pignite to protect him from the ice and to warm him up the pair stood looking around at the crazy weather. Then an idea struck Simon, it was a Pokemon's ability and one he knew since he had one as well. Then he spotted the wild Snover coming towards them and Pignite got ready to fight. This area's Pokemon were a higher level than Pignite but he did have the type advantage.

The hailstorm ended the moment Snover was defeated which was a good thing. Brushing the ice crystals from his hair Simon healed Pignite up and asked the fire Pokemon to use half of flame charge. He surrounded himself in fire allowing Simon to get his temperature under control. Thanking him they continued their search.

Searching the snow drifts, Pignite making it faster since he melted the snow. After several minutes of not finding anything he called Pignite to return to the Pokecenter with him. They sat at one of the tables drinking hot chocolate. Pignite was amazed at the drink gulping it down since the hottness of it didn't bother him at all. Looking at Simon with big eyes Simon laughed and pushed his cup over to him as he drank it down quickly. Wiping his mouth he looked so happy as Simon returned him to search for some more shards.

After a few more minutes Simon walked pass a snow man but came back a few seconds later seeing that in his hand was a shard. Shaking his head Simon took it and put it away glad that he found one and was done with the snowy area. His gear told him that Nimbasa City in Unova was next and he couldn't get there soon enough as he sent out Noivern and away they went.

What a pain, that they had to come here... and to make matters worse, there were a lot more Imperium agents snooping around. In fact, at their arrival, quite a few turned, and began to approach. Zak reached for Meebus' pokeball, sneer growing as he tilted his head to talk to Lidia. "You go ahead and search... I vill handle battling off zese bozos," he drawled, releasing the electric pokemon. Reaching into his bag, he pulled out a plug and tossed it to the ghost. "Vhy don't you shift forms? Your heat vould be appreciated against ze cold..." he muttered, eying the rivals that looked ready for battle. Most of them seemed to have decided to keep a pokemon searching while they tried to weed out the competition; in fact, he could see a few other skirmishes taking place a little while over. Amazing that such a collected, level headed, and tactical team... would have so many childish and combative members. Then again, there was likely some prize at stake here...

Glancing around as Meebus began dispatching opponents, Zak folded his arms over his chest. After a bit of adjusting, and the occasional heat from his pokemon, he was getting used to the cold. It had been a while since he'd been here. Frowning, he looked to the opponent pokemon, and noticed, as it fell, that it was an ice type. Geez, what, did these people think having pokemon of the same type would help them somehow? Who came to a snow covered area without fire pokemon? Scoffing a bit, he turned his gaze away, sketchily glancing towards a particular area, but looking away. It seemed most of the inhabitants of the place were buckled up inside, annoyed at the intruders...

"Let Totodile handle zis," he drawled, releasing the manic gator, "Your attack vould be too veak at zis point." Overheat had a nasty drawback, after all, at least as far as longer lasting battles went. He let Totodile ice up his fangs and lash out at the grass pokemon, then turned, glancing again in a particular direction, before moving over towards Lidia, who was still searching. She glanced over as he approached, straightening up from the bench she was looking over. "You know, I'm a bit surprised at you," she remarked, going back to searching, "I would have expected you to have it out by now."

Zak quirked an eyebrow at that, narrowing his eyes slightly, with Meebus floating nearby. The ghost pokemon looked over as Totodile prepared to take on the next opponent, watching quietly to make sure he had the situation handled, despite a clear type disadvantage. "Vat ze hell do you mean by zat?" Zak replied, frowning, "Have vat out?" Lidia scoffed a bit. "That egg," she replied, shooting him a glance. Zak blinked, then straightened, folding his arms over his chest. "Et's varmer en my backpack," he replied flatly. She rolled her eyes some. "Mm, of course..." He shifted a bit. She was right, though... he did need to check on it. Start taking care of it more closely. It would hatch soon... he wanted to make sure he had it, with him, when it did, and giving it attention would likely help it reach that point.
