Continuing to chop up the remainder of the veggies, Temperance stood to bring them over, listening to Dallas with a grin on her lips. "Yes, well, There is a lot you still don't know about me." She replied. The part of her that hated being secretive was rearing it's head, but it was easily subdued when the veggies she'd chopped were needed. Sitting back down while Dallas finished up, Temperance listened to Dallas' explanation. "Where I'm from both scenario's are plausible." She replied. "Men who are overly jealous are worrisome, but do you know Isis' side of the story? Perhaps she's had some rough encounters with men before and Leon simply went protective? Albeit a bit rash, it might of very well been called for." Temperance hadn't been there at the start of the fight, she'd only come in at the end... and while her own scenario didn't seem true in her own head, she also didn't like siding with any one side until she knew the absolute whole truth. After they'd obtained their food, Temperance sat and ate, thinking over what Dallas had said about her offer to demonstrate with her blades. She was aware Dallas wasn't a straight-laced being, and to tell the truth her traveling with him could spell doom for her reputation if her identity was found out, but for whatever reason it didn't bother her all that much.
The male before her had his moments. And she had only observed the tip of the iceberg thus far. So long as she kept her secret about who she truly was, and what she truly was capable of... it was hard for her to judge Dallas on what was basically the same thing.
While Epona and Daruk hadn't been all that interested in the story at first, they quickly joined with Azalev and Daphnes. For a moment the Prinplup and Bagon shared a glance, as if both recalling something at the same time. While it wasn't a flute that had summoned Pokemon, it was instead an incense stick. It didn't sound as horrifying as what Meloetta was telling, though. Meanwhile Din floated off some more, keeping just within eyesight of the camp's fire. She came across a Machop that seemed eager to battle with her. The Psychic obliged, ramming into the fighting-type with her psychic-powered headbutt. Getting in a revenge blow, Din shook it off and once more hit the Machop with another Zen Headbutt.

Susan sniffed the floor and the air before darting out up the mountain range. To reward her hunting skills, a meditite came into view. It was mad that Susan was ruining its meditation. Meditate on this, dummy! Susan roared as she shot a moonblast out of her mouth, which took out the foe in one fell swoop. Susan ran up, and shook the meditite. Now tell Susan where the boss be!... Susan blinked a few times before dropping the fainted Meditite. Oh yeah. Susan can no ask questions to fainted pokemon. Beltigre hopped over, a cocky smirk on her face. Beltigre, be nice to Susan!...huh? Susan and Beltigre crept over to a side of a small cliff, and down in the valley, they spied a group of people, all huddled together in straight lines, nice and uniform. Speaking of uniforms, they all seemed to be wearing the same things. Hm! Susan just found some silly people! She turned to look at Beltigre, but found that she had passed clean out. Beltigre? Why sleep? She probed out to her other companions, and found that Meloetta was asleep, too. How could they all be sleepy already? Susan no sleepy! I haven't gotten my yummies yet!

He smiled as genuinely as he could, and nodded. "Oh, you mean Ms. Stonewall," he replied. "Yes, we're still traveling along together. I do hope you're not the jealous type, Ms..." She didn't offer her name, catching the coordinator off guard. "Oh, I'm not jealous. I'd never be jealous of her. Especially with what fate awaits her." Austin's smile wavered. "I...I don't quite follow your meaning, my dear-" The strange girl's smile turned to a scowl as she stepped away from Austin, and into the shadows. "I was thinking the same, Mr. Tucksworth: Don't follow. Don't get involved. You couldn't do anything, anyways." And as strangely as she had arrived, she was gone. Glancing up from her food occasionally, she smiled at Dallas. He seemed to be contemplating what she'd said. While it was good thing, she could tell it was hard to the male to simply change his mind on the matter, deciding to simply step away to quietly think about it on his own. "I'll clean up here, take your time." Temperance replied. Setting their dishes in a nearby hollow, Azalev aided her with cleaning off the plates. It was then Daphnes sounded an alarm, rather a rough coo that strangers were approaching. Temperance stood up, but even in the moonlight she could tell something about these people weren't to good. "Azalev, go find Din." Temperance stated under her breath. Azalev of course wanted to protest, but one sharp look from Temperance told him not to retaliate.

Once she was within a few feet, Temperance lowered the flame engulfed stick down as if she was holding a sword. They stopped not to far away, one of which grinned with malice in his eyes. "Good Evening, Ma'am. Seems we've gotten lost. See we're looking for someone, who previously we all thought was where she was suppose to be." Temperance swallowed at a lump that had formed in her throat. Her doppelganger had been found out? "Who would it be you are looking for?" Temperance asked. The grinning male looked back to his not-so-smiley companions and nodded his head a few times. "Why, we're looking for a princess of course. You see her Uncle is dreadfully worried she's in harms way." pushing a hand forward, the men from behind him began to approach. Temperance stepped back, swinging her stick, looking to the side towards the campfire to notice Daphnes and Epona weren't moving. "What did you do?!" Temperance demanded, swinging once more with her stick, not expecting one of the men to grab the burning side of the stick and yanking it from her grip. They didn't seem to be eager to answer. Stepping forward, one man tried to grab Temperance, but she quickly resorted to her training, swinging a leg up and pelting the side of the man's head. The one who grabbed her stick tossed the flame to the side, approaching Temperance. He managed to grab her arm after a faulty punch, but Temperance wasn't going to give in that easily, bringing her free hand down in a flat palm to his chest, writhing her arm free, she round-house kicked the male. It was then one came up behind her, grabbing her right arm and twisting it behind her back, she stepped back slamming his heel into the male's shin, Twisting around grabbing the male's arm and bringing it behind his back she wasn't so gentle and dislocated his shoulder. Pushing him forward she kicked him in his back. Stepping back all three of her would be abductors were trying to collect themselves, their leader however held a blade his hand. " To be expected, from a training soldier." He grinned. "But your not a soldier are you? Nor are you a simple trainer." Pulling out her dagger, the two rushed at one another, steel met steel. "A sword verse a dagger, who will win in the end?" He grinned. "How did you find me?" Temperance demanded, her eyes filled with fire. "You didn't make it hard. Your Doppelganger just couldn't hack the pressure of being a fake princess. Oh, the gold though made her feel much better." The male picked up on Temperance's gaze... the realization that greed had been her undoing. "Yes, once the King found out miss doppelganger was a fake he knew precisely where you went, and all we had to do was bind our time until you crossed paths with one of our sources." "So you've found me? What now, you figured you could just swoop in and I would roll over and let you simply take me?" Temperance replied, pushing harder with her dagger, the two broke giving some distance between them. "Did you source not tell you I wasn't traveling alone?" She added. "Oh yes, that... Male. The Coordinator? The King has no need for him, but if it comes down to it, we might need to use him." Did they not know who he truly was? Perhaps the source they spoke of had only just noticed her? She was sure she'd passed through Eterna when 'Dallas' was with her... So their source either was blind or stupid. Perhaps both. Temperance rose up her dagger once more, making the male chuckle. "So this in your answer? Very well, you've signed his death certificate." Temperance chuckled this time. "I'm sure he'll understand." She replied. Rushing forward their blades locked once more. If they only saw him has a coordinator they were sorely mistaken.
Meanwhile, Azalev had managed to slip away before the grip of slumber took him down. Finding Din not to far away, the Prinplup quickly alerted her. Din flew back towards Azalev with fire in her eyes. 'What did you say? Oh hell... Where is everyone?' The sprite demanded. Azalev explained what Temperance had told him to do. 'Umbra warned me about their tactics. Resorting to battling isn't in their style.. .they'd rather fight person to person.' Which meant disposing of the Pokemon in some other fashion... if not sleep, it was death. Gas was quick and odorless, but not very efficient. Meaning they were likely using a combination of the two... a Pokemon to put them to sleep and a gas to target those unaffected by the Pokemon. However, this wasn't to say both together could still stop someone from slipping through the cracks. 'Our trainer is in trouble, hurry.'

Austin found himself baffled by the woman's strange actions, and started back up toward camp. "Seriously, what the hell is her deal?" he asked himself. He rolled his sleeves back up as he made his way, dragging his feet more or less in his devil-may-care pace. That is, until a red blur came barreling down the pathway towards him. Huh? It was Susan, with Beltigre in her jaws? What? Austin squatted down as the dracovoir and torracat stopped in front of him. DALPHA! Much trouble! Such badness! Susan dropped Beltigre and looked up at her trainer with extreme worry. "Whoa, whoa! What're you getting on about? Why're you carrying Beltigre around like that?" Susan fidgeted as she started to go over what little she knew. Okay, so Susan and Beltigre go 'sploring for witches, and then Beltigre fell asleep for no reason! And Susan find all these guys with pointy sticks and the guys wore shiny clothes and had pointy sticks! And Susan think, 'Susan ask Meloetta, Meloetta more smarter, but Meloetta glowies say sleeping too! Everybody sleepy but me! Austin rubbed his eyes, and tried to piece everything together. "Okay, so everyone went to bed early? No big deal."
And then, there was the sound of fighting. Dallas knew the sound of a fight, but this was definitely some medieval stuff. "Oh s**t. What the hell's going on up there?" He returned the sleeping Beltigre, and started to sneak forward. As they got closer, it became clear that Tamara was in the middle of a FREAKING SWORD FIGHT with a bunch of weirdos that looked like they came from a renaissance fair. There were talks of doppelgangers and Kings, and eventually, him. What did they think he was going to do? And then he heard the sentence: "Very well, you've signed his death certificate." Dallas swallowed, and a shiver went down his spine. Well! Let's return our pals and get the hell outta here. Susan gasped, and glared at her trainer. What?! Dalpha needs to help Stoneywall! Stoneywall friend! Stoneywall would help Dalpha! Dallas averted his gaze for a moment. Look, I'm just trying to make sure we get outta this okay! This s**t's a little outta my wheelhouse, ya know? He rubbed his eyes, and shook his head before finally realizing what he needed to do. Yeah alright! We'll help. After all, she's the closest friend I got so far, and letting her get axed ain't gonna sit well on my...urk...on my conscious. He smiled at Susan, who shared his enthusiasm. Yeah yeah! And Susan know how to help beat 'em all up! Just follow Susan's super plan! After a quick deliberation, Susan darted off while her trainer provided the distraction.
"Stop right there, you vagabonds!" Austin stepped out from behind his hiding place, and addressed the fighters with as much dandy authority as he could. "I'll have you know that if you don't lay down your arms, I'll be forced to call the authorities and place you under citizen's arrest!" Some of the fighters continued to attack Tamara, but a few took a moment to address Austin with sneers and laughter. "Young man, you have no idea what you've gotten yourself into." One of them made an approach, and Austin held up his fists in a limp wrist fisticuffs position. "Stay back! I'll thrash you if you take another step further!" The man scoffed, and advanced. "You've saved us the trouble of tracking you down, coordinator! Now it's time to join the princess to her-"[ Austin slung an unexpected fist right into the man's uncovered face, and then another across his temple, laying him out on the ground. "I did warn you that I would thrash you, good man," he said simply. He smiled; These guys are kinda big pussies, for all that armor and s**t! But then, the rest started to form in on Austin. "Surrender, Mr. Tucksworth, and accept your fate!" Austin held his fists up as a female warrior charged him, and he hardly ducked out of being sliced. A slow sweeping kick brought the woman down, and quickly put her in a chokehold. "Now back off, or I'll kill her, I swear!" The woman dropped her sword and gasped for air...but the others didn't seem too worried. "I...I mean it! I'll snap her neck-"
"Do it," The words caught him off guard, but as soon as he saw the plain girl, now clad in armor and glaring menacingly at him, it all made sense. "She'd happily die for our cause. You protect a would-be usurper who dares stand against our King. I hope you realize that this little show of chivalry will only get you killed in the end." Austin glared right back, worry starting to set in. But then, a strange, loud noise filled the air. SUSAN HELPED! SUSAN HELPED! She had snuck all the way over to her trainer's bag, and had pulled out a strange old monocle. It was glowing, pulsing with power. Susan so smart! Susan call statue man to help! Everyone looked at her, confused. But then, the sound got louder, and louder, until finally, a giant statue that was all too familiar to Austin, Tamara and Susan, burst out of the tree line below, barreling up the path. It crashed into a large group of the would be attackers. It was the best distraction they could have wished for. "STEP AWAY FROM THIS UNIT'S OWNER! ASSAILANTS WILL BE ATTACKED ON SIGHT!" Austin dropped the woman he had been choking and got to his feet. "Susan, what the hell did you do?! You know what, screw it! Toss me that bat!" Susan flung over his dented old bat, which her trainer quickly caught and wrapped around the head of Tamara's main attacker. "Yo, Tamara! Let's show these assholes what happens when you ******** with the wrong people!"

Breaking away from the male, Temperance angled her dagger high, trying to figure out any better way to deal with this man other than just blade to blade every time. But then, from behind she heard a ruckus. "Hmm, so pretty boy has some fight in him after all?" Ten stated. "It wont do him any good though, you are both vastly out numbered." He continued. Temperance pulled out the second dagger from it's hidden pocket, holding both up. "You best keep you eyes on me." Temperance spoke. The male, grinned, raising his sword once more. "Certainly, Princess. You are after all the only one we came for." Rushing once more, the two met blades, but with a second blade in her hand, she was at a better advantage. Holding him off with one blade, she used the other to slice upward, catching his cheek. From behind Dallas emerged suddenly, a bat swiftly pelting Ten's head, sending the male flying off to the side.
Din and Azalev appeared themselves, joining Susan and the 'statue' in fending off a few more of the soldiers. "Glad to see you decided to join me." Temperance spoke, her back to Dallas as the remaining soldiers quickly closed in. "I promise to explain later." She added. "I haven't been entirely honest with you, but now is not the time for apologies" With a deep sigh, the blonde rushed forward. The soldiers weren't pushovers at all, their blades were sharp and their tactics even sharper, but Temperance was trained by the very best. Her training was fresh in her mind, times when her mentor made her fight as though the battles were real. This was all to prepare her for a situation such as this. Even still, she wasn't fighting to the death... she couldn't bring herself to kill. This of course left her vulnerable, and after getting sliced a second time, them being out numbered was rearing it's head.
For Temperance, a savoir appeared from a nearby body of water. The creature was angered about being disturbed when a soldier fell into it's water. The Kingdra as it were, appeared with fury in it's eyes, dispatching the last two soldiers that Temperance was tasked with defeating. It locked gazes with Temperance, and for a moment it appeared to be ready to attack her, but instead a Hydro pump passed right by Temperance and struck a rather burly male behind her. Nodding her thanks to the water dragon, Temperance quickly returned to Dallas' side. "We best use this moment to make our escape." Temperance stated. The small battalion Ten had brought with him was left to a small few soldiers, who for all intents and purposes were looking rather yellow at this point. "We can lose them in the cave." She added. Calling back Epona, Daphnes and Daruk, Temperance turned once more to Dallas, making sure he was going to follow after her.

Having to walk everywhere was growing stale, and not just because the inevitable pain in her feet that would come, if she kept this mode of transportation up. There just wasn't anything incredibly interesting to do while traveling from one city to the next. Oh sure, there was the occasional flower-torcher and fishing pole eating 'monster' to come across, but those few events were outweighed by the boredom that drilled its way into Jinx's skull, with a pressure that only increased as time went on.

Maybe she could get a motorcycle, those were always fun and she did have experience driving them. Getting a license wouldn't even be that hard, since she could ask Kaeden to make her one. It was a nice idea, not to mention plausible; hell, she'd even go as far as to call it a good idea. But, it was one that couldn't be immediately implemented, she had to concentrate on getting this next badge, and there was that mission that Kaeden had mentioned to her earlier. He hadn't brought it up last night, however, so there probably weren't any updates on it. The potential for it all excited Jinx, it'd been a few months since she'd been on her last mission, and she was usually only called out into the field--this time excluded--to do something fun, i.e. dangerous. So this mission, even with its 'mystery', was bound to be the same.

There was no use in getting ahead of herself, and getting riled up over something could, very well, take place weeks from now; it'd just leave her on edge, and that did no one any good. Instead, Jinx cast her attention to something close by, and tangible, that she could concentrate on to take her mind off of the mission. What that turned out to be was Sphene, who trudged only steadily with the rest of the group as they continued through Mt. Coronet. She'd decided to let the little sprout roam around with them, to make up for keeping him inside of his pokeball for the majority of the day yesterday. He took to the fresh air and open roaming he was allowed, and made it a priority to burn any and every flammable object they came across, which wasn't much during their time inside the mountain.
When he wasn't fueling up, however, he was eyeing the dragons that they ran into every few feet (at least that was what it felt like). Still drawn in by the candle, which had been extinguished in the night but re-lit once they'd started out this morning, Sphene watched stoically as Agate took them out, one after the other, taking Lazurite's place, since her heavy body meant she wasn't suitable for long distance traveling. He seemed... eager to battle, though it was hard to read a plant's face, but kept his distance, not out of respect for Agate, but because he knew that he still wasn't in fitting form. He'd wait, until he was strong enough to withstand attacks, then throw himself into the fray.

Skia placed all her Pokemon back in the Poke Balls she had so tiredly released them from. It was night, again, but she was excited to hit the road. This was an interesting City but there was just a few too many stones to turn. Next time she would come back and explore the area a little better. A light jog and she was back where the collapsed stones were. At least they had been there but it seemed someone had already taken care of them. After a brief pout from not being able to use her new HM, the girl made her way into the passage.
The cave was far darker than she expected. There was no way she was going to see in this. Skia sighed, being a Trainer was way harder than she had imagined. With no option left she returned back to the entrance. "Welp, I gotta have some kind of light" she said as she pulled out her bag and began digging through it. "Berries, Poke Balls, Sun Stone?" she lifted the stone up towards the cave but nothing happened. "Why's it called a Sun Stone if it doesn't produce light?" she returned to digging in her bag. "Potions, TM's, Paper Lantern." her eyes grew wide at the sight of the it. "That's right! That guy gave me this at the haunted house." she lit it and a chill came over her. "Right might be eerie, but a lights a light."
Upon returning to the inside of the cave she was surprised to see that whoever was here had left a long time ago. Empty cans, torn banners and crumpled score cards littered the cave floor. "Well I don't really know what Joe expects us to do now." over her shoulder she heard something whisper "JooOOooeeEEee" Skia freaked out and backed up "Who's there? Show yourself. Creeping around on little girls isn't cool you know." that's when she saw it. The lantern was releasing some kind of energy and behind her was a bunch of glowing eyes in the dark. Almost as quickly as she had turned a Shuppet jumped out. With little time to react she grabbed a Poke Ball and threw it out. Squirt came out of it. "Squirt use Shadow Claw at any Pokemon that jumps out ok?" the Sobble nodded and jumped towards the Shuppet unleashing a quick dark slice. The Shuppet stood no chance as it hit the ground.

Once Squirt landed on the wall another Shuppet had appeared. Except it wasn't just one the passage was full of them for as far as the Pokemon could see. So that's why Skia had told him to use Shadow Claw on any Pokemon that had appeared. No choice he thought and launched himself at the next one Claw landing center mass it collapsed as the last one had.

Once they had wrapped around the corner the passage opened up more. It looked as if someone had carved out a battle arena. As he slashed down the next Shuppet he wondered if these Pokemon were the Ghosts of Pokemon from this place. It was his job to think that way and Skia wouldn't ask him to do anything she didn't think him capable of. Plus it meant some solid Training so he wasn't going to complain.

Squirt could feel a strange power starting to activate. He had gained another level and his body started puff out a bit. These Shuppet were going down easier and easier. He looked over at Skia who was keeping her word staying within jumping distance of her. He lurched forward knocking out the next challenger, turned and Skia had already moved right there. Right, he thought, time to make her proud.

They made their way through the arena and into another passage. This one was going up and got colder as they continued. Great so now not only was it getting cold but these Ghost Pokemon wouldn't stop appearing. They had ditched most of them in the arena, but as Ghost tend to they floated out of the walls. The next Shuppet he knocked out hit the ground and slides towards Skia. It was out so he didn't bother looking back to see anymore. He was focused on finding the end of this daunting task.
