Ashley shook his head. This was not the time to get agitated. He took a breath and decided to focus on the tasks that he did have control of, like figuring out a name. He directed his eyes to brown pokemon who was skipping this way and that in her searching. She didn’t seem bothered at all that this required so much work. The French man mulled over these facts as he tried to figure out a name. Of course, being an Eevee, it was possibly worth waiting until she evolved to name her. Though, that hadn’t been the case with Theodor, who’s persona carried over from his first form to his Jolteon form. He was always…hyperactive. If anything, Ashley imagined he could expect the same with this Eevee as well. He paused as she hopped towards another patch of grass, digging about, and returning with an egg. Ashley took it from her and nodded. Hm… yes. It was best to find a name now. She deserved it.

Scarlett recalled when she had last come to Veilstone to get her third badge. Her fourth badge in Pastoria had been the one she needed to reap Zak's rewards, but this one allowed her to Fly. Going to the renaissance festival had been interesting and mostly fun, aside from the occasional falling out she'd have with Zak every now and again. If only things had stayed pleasant. She had no idea what happened after that basketball session, and it was irritating just to think about, so Scarlett quickly pushed the idea out of her mind. Well, except that she did need to get that book back from him eventually. She could tackle that when she was less annoyed with the Russian. Veilstone City had an interesting name to it, and just like its name suggested the city was carved from stone. Or at least, that was what it looked like to Huey, who was bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, eager to start up his hunt, after a good night's rest. The sound of their landing was swallowed up by the bustling city life, and when Huey looked around he spotted several buildings of interest, with the Game Corner in particular catching his interest.

Who to send out? It only seemed fair that he try and switch things up today, and give his other pokemon a chance to, not only help, but to stretch their legs. With some thought, he eventually decided on letting loose Cloud, Rags and Gem, though for Gem he was more of giving her the chance to explore and see the sights. Huey greeted all three pokemon with a grin, and to Cloud in particular he picked the Togepi up and into his arms when the pokemon requested it. Rather than get right into business, he spent a few minutes actively interacting with his pokemon and overall just enjoying their company. He really needed to train these three. Not that that would constitute as bonding, but it'd just been a while since any of them had any actual battling experience, and he did want to use them for battle. Or well, actually... now that he thought about it... maybe these three would be better used for when he took on Johto?

He actually hadn't thought too much about the team he'd use against the Johto league, only that he was going to take them on. He had quite a few other pokemon he hadn't used in a while that could also use, Dutch, Honey, those two Buneary he had, Klefki and the Emolga he had picked up. Oh, but wait, that was six pokemon already. Hmmmmm. Maybe he'd keep training Rags and have him help finish up the Unova league, the seventh gym was an ice type too...
Before Huey could get too far into his thoughts and plans, he remembered where he was and quickly reported to the pokemon he had out of what their task was. All three seemed eager to help, even little Gem, and much to his surprise it was she who found the egg underneath a carefully planted row of bushes, that acted as a divider for the street. She poked her head underneath, and after some determined wiggling managed to pull out an egg. Huey laughed in surprise, Gem wiggling her entire body with glee, then after providing her with some much deserved praise he returned her, gathered Rags and Cloud, and prepared to leave.

Scarlett wordlessly began moving in one direction after sending the zoroark out. There was no need to explain what they were doing, he knew already. If he didn't know by now, there would be a bigger problem. As she neared the edge of the city, Scarlett noticed large craters ahead, which seemed strange. She didn't really peg Veilstone as a mining or digsite kind of a city like Oreburgh. Curiosity piqued, Scarlett climbed down into one of the craters to inspect the meteorite there. It was quite large and stuck rather firmly into the ground, far too heavy to move for one person alone and perhaps just left where it was as a sort of monument. The shining metallic surface suggested that the space rock was composed mostly of iron, smooth, solid, sturdy, and cold to the touch. Were all of the meteorites here the same consistency? There was only one way to find out.

Scarlett took a quick picture of the meteorite before moving to the next one, and surprisingly, the meteorite there looked entirely different. It was still just as large and bulky, but jagged and with less dents in the surface than the first. It had the texture of sandpaper, colored a burnt red tint, and didn't feel nearly as cold. She wouldn't call it warm, probably more of a room temperature.... She took another picture, making notes for both images while they were still fresh in her mind before moving on to the next crater.

The third rock was much like the second, but rounded and smoother. Not quite a metallic smooth like the first rock, there was still a sort of roughness to this one, but it was subtle, as if the sides had been buffed through erosion or heat. The last rock was possibly the most interesting however, with large holes poking through from all sides. When the wind picked up, they whistled through the meteorite like a space flute, making Scarlett smile. Ajicka immediately set Torchic down once they reached Veilstone. She tugged off her coat and quickly stuffed it back into her bag, tossing her hair back as she straightened with a frown. She was glad to be out of the cold, despite her general appearance. It did spark a sort of fire in her, at the end, that made her silently decide to brace, or face, the cold next time. She'd figure out some sort of exercise or routine to do. She only had a few more regions, though, so... she wasn't sure she'd even need to worry about that any time soon.
