Avikna was torn. The training would be nice, and Tay seemed really eager to obtain that ball. But what if it was all a swindle? The 'rare' Pokemon turning out to be nothing more than a Magikarp? Well, the deal seemed pretty one-sided, but even a Magikarp could potentially have... potential. "Fine." She voiced. "Alright! Welcome challenger, to this once-in-a-lifetime event! I have before me a ball, obtained from a Alolan research facility, a Pokemon of supreme potential! You'd do well not to underestimate it's power! All I ask challenger, is you choose; Left or Right?" Avikna narrowed her gaze. Left or right? So either the male fighter or the female one... both looked notably strong, though the female had 6 Pokeballs and the male had but one. Well, it was meant to be a challenge right? "Right." Avikna replied, going with the female. the woman stood up, holding an arm over her chest as if to salute. "Greetings! I am Rune, I am the master of Steel-type Pokemon!" The woman shouted. Avikna arched a brow. Master, hmm? But then, suddenly the woman appeared defeated. "Well, not quite master." She chuckled. Her posture loosened up as she dropped her arm down. "I fight with a full team of six. My Pokemon aren't entirely strong, but to make up for that, here is a challenge for you. You can only use one Pokemon. No higher than level 5o." Six verse one? That sounded pretty one-sided. Though knowing she was going up against Steel-types, Avikna made the choice to pull in Aislin to the team, setting Ookoth's ball to the side for the time being. The battles terms and conditions agreed upon, the crowd was urged to move back. Tay joined them on the sidelines, cheering Avikna and Aislin on with Freya and Cotee. The canine looked annoyed as well as a tad embarrassed to have so much attention on her. Avikna was just annoyed, but it was something Tay really wanted, so she'd tolerate it. The woman released her first Pokemon, and thus the battle began.

The battle ended, one-sided as ever. Despite a few of her Pokemon holding on to a short straw, giving them the opening to do a tad bit of damage, Aislin had won. "Woah! What a one-sided endeavor! Seems our young Rune just couldn't hold her own this round!" The man with the ball announced, stepping before Avikna. "As for our winner, I present this Pokeball here." His grin shifted, looking fairly mishevious for a moment. He then stepped back and held up a hand, as if waiting for Avikna to give him something. Avikna hesitation gained a chuckle from the male. "The ball costs 5 million Poke." Avikna narrowed her gaze. "You never said anything about paying. Do I look like I have 5 million bucks on me?" The man rose his hands up, lifting the ball up high. "I didn't? Ah, my mistake, but that doesn't change anything. Pay up the 5 million or you don't get the ball. A Pokemon as rare as this can't just be given to any old person." The crowd quickly grew upset, mirroring the inner rage within Avikna. "A ******** con. I knew it was to good to be true. What is that ball empty?" Avikna growled, stepping forward, ready to sock the man in his stupid face. She was quickly stopped by the other male, the counterpart to Rune. "Outta my way. I'm not letting you conning peaces of s**t get away with this!" An odd looking Golem then appeared at the man's side, with what appeared to be outlet teeth on it's back. 'Hehe.. Looks like you really need my help now.' Aislin boasted, as she munched on a Lava Cookie she'd swiped from Avikna's bag. Slamming a paw into the other, she leaped forward, finding the Golem's reflexes were a lot quicker than she'd anticipated. Summoning stones from the earth to slam into Aislin, the canine took one to her mid-section but still managed to maneuver a blast of energy into the Golem's facial region. Trained to blow-up after the first hit, the Golem initiated his Explosion despite his trainers orders to cease and desist. The explosion in question blew back everyone, even Avikna and half the crowd, subsequently knocking the other half down. Smoke rose over the plateau, leading to confusion.
Getting to her knees, Avikna spotted Aislin nearby. The Lucario was slowly sitting up, feeling rather angered about getting a blast like that to close for comfort. "Can you move?" Avikna asked. The Lucario bobbed her head, pushing up to her hind legs. She was wobbly, and despite how she hated it, she leaned into Avikna as they walked. "Tay!" Avikna called, now on the look out for the teen. She stopped though, when her foot kicked something. Looking down it was the head con artist, knocked smooth out. A paw then reached forward, more hand-like than anything, she recognized it right away. "Mave." The wolf beat her wings pushing away some of the smoke, just enough to make the area around them a bit more visible. Hugging her side was Tay, along with Freya and Cotee, they were unharmed. "Avikna! Look!" Tay spoke up, rushing forward, paying no mind to the fainted man at her feet. "I found these." Holding up to objects, one was the ball containing the 'rare' Pokemon, and the other... an egg. "Good work. Let's get the heck out of here before these idiots wake up or before the Officers get here." Avikna didn't feel like spending a decade in questioning. Both mounted Mave, while Aislin went back to her ball to rest.
