Ajicka had to admit, she wasn't exactly impressed by the city around her. It was... small. Was this really even a city? She gazed around in clear reserve, her focus finally shifting to land on Deoxys as he drifted down beside her. "How is it you know where to go when you teleport, anyway?" she questioned, placing a hand on her hip as she looked at him. 'When you are busy with things, I am often exploring the area and investigating both local and distant geography. Any time I pick up any indication in your thoughts of somewhere in particular, I investigate its location,' he replied, eyes glowing a bit as he turned his head to give her that same piercing, blank stare.
Instantly her eyes narrowed at him and she stiffened a bit. She could see Edge's gaze slide over from perusing the scenery to look at her, but she ignored him. Obviously, she wasn't exactly happy to be reminded that Deoxys was easily sifting through her thoughts like someone browsing a magazine, but it wasn't like she could stop him, and... he'd done some good. She hadn't had any of those thoughts lately, she wasn't as angry... he was keeping her from being too rude to anyone unfortunate enough to interact with her...
But still, it was rightfully unnerving to be reminded there was an alien with its psychic tendrils imbedded in her mind.

Ajicka brushed the thought off and gave herself a bit of a physical dusting off, looking around again, this time more to distract herself. "Hmm..." After a moment she pulled her bag around and started sifting through her things, drawing out a book, and her pokedex, skimming through her pokemon's information, and the info she had in text. She started walking as she read, making her way over towards the gym, appraising it and reading the sign. Jolteon was definitely going to be her main weapon here... but she wanted to see if she could get Venusaur and Elle into shape, too.
Releasing her pokemon, she straightened up, still looking at her book even as she addressed them. "Jolteon, you don't need much more training, but I'm going to be relying on you a lot for this gym, so go ahead and stay warmed up. Elle, Venusaur, you guys search out the pokemon here and get some more training in," she instructed, finally glancing up, "I'll join you in a bit." The two pokemon exchanged looks, but Elle sighed, elegantly gliding off with Venusaur lumbering along obediently behind to search out an opponent.

Ajicka rolled her shoulder back and cracked her neck as she watched her pokemon head off. She really needed to take a look at Venusaur's moveset... from what she remembered, it kind of sucked. Or at least, it sucked as far as her strategy went. She tended to move towards an offensive, fast, hard hitting strategy to try and quickly take down, and/or immobilize, her opponent. He had, well... the immobilizing part, but there wasn't a whole lot of variation. If he put them to sleep, he couldn't poison them-- if he poisoned them, he couldn't put them to sleep. He had grass moves, and poison moves, and that ground move, and that... that was about it. And Earthquake was his primary move. With his new ability, it was pretty useful, it certainly let him take on fire types, a surprise for any grass pokemon, but it didn't effect a whole lot of other types. Electric... rock, if she remembered right. And steel. He had petal dance, and solar beam, but they both had their drawbacks and they were both grass types. It was probably time to look into replacing one...
Speaking of 'probably time', she needed to check on torchic, too. The exp share should have been helping her grow stronger exponentially, and it would probably break soon. She needed to see if the pokemon was strong enough to go out on its own... or, if it chose to, start taking on battles of its own.
She needed to check on ZK, too.
And... it had probably been long enough that checking in to make sure that houndour she'd given... what's-his-name was doing well. Hell, she'd start with that. Then maybe she'd check with torchic, and look into her options with Venusaur while she dealt with ZK. Pulling out her device, she refreshed her memory on the guy's name (Sebastian) and sent him a quick text-- Hey, how's the houndour I traded you? you battled with it yet? and then put the device away. There... that was one thing off her list, at least.

Ajicka snapped her messager closed and looked around, eying the area. Alright, well... next thing on her list, she supposed, was probably... Check on Torchic. Nodding to herself, she reached around for the pokemon's ball, kneeling down as she released her. "Whoa!" She reached out to catch the falling remains of the exp share, frowning a bit, but then raising her eyebrows and pulling her hands back. "Tooor? Torchic! Chic!" the pokemon cooed worriedly, fluffing her feathers a bit and leaning forward. Evidently, she was rather concerned that she might have broken it... "Don't worry, this was supposed to happen," Ajicka reassured her as she put the broken pieces in her pocket, "It means you've gotten a lot stronger." She placed her hands on her knees and pushed herself up to stand. "Which means you should be able to take care of yourself."
The pokemon blinked. "T-tor?" she stuttered uncertainly, ruffling her own feathers again. Ajicka folded her arms over her chest. "That means you're free to go, if you want. If you decide to stay, I'll train with you, help you get stronger, but I don't keep pokemon that aren't going to be battling, un... unless there's good reason. You're strong enough to easily survive in a lot of areas now. Unless you want to stay and get stronger, you're free to go." Of course, she would have liked to have said she just straight didn't keep pokemon that weren't ready to battle, but.... Well, ZK and Deoxys contradicted that a bit.
Torchic shifted, fluffing herself anxiously and glancing around. Finally she looked back up to Ajicka, an uncertain attempt at a determined expression on her face as she stepped closer. "Tor!" she decided, giving a nod. Ajicka raised her eyebrows. "So, you want to stay and train?" she confirmed. The pokemon gave another little nod. Well... She didn't exactly need any more pokemon, but... at least the little fluffball seemed to have gained some confidence. "Alright. Next region is yours. For now I need to focus on trying to get my current pokemon stronger, but you can stay out and start learning," she decided, turning to look for her other pokemon.

Jumping a bit at the alert to a message. Seriously? Either ZK was being annoying, or Sebastian had already replied. Frowning, she pulled out her messager, raising her eyebrows when she noticed it was, in fact, Sebastian. Time warp much? Or maybe it has been a bit more time than she thought. Sighing, she reached back to scratch the back of her hair, then opened up the message, quirking an eyebrow, and then dropping her expression and her head as she read he'd mega evolved it. Ugh, that ability though... She shook her head. She supposed, for an offensive approach, it wasn't that bad, but... man that was a draw back. Were a few powerful attacks really worth dying a lot sooner? Maybe he hadn't noticed it yet, though... It did seem pretty noobish...
While Torchic shifted beside her, she opened up a reply, quickly typing it out with a wary, unamused expression.
To Sebastian: Megas usually do. Watch out for that ability, though. It doesn't matter if you or your opponent don't use Sunny Day or anything, but it could knock out your houndour pretty fast if they did, and your opponent might see the attack boost as worth risking to bring it's HP down fast.
Hopefully that would help him keep that draw back in mind. Tucking the device away, she gestured for Torchic to follow. It was time to find Elle and Venusaur... and maybe get started on that gym battle.

After a bit of searching, Ajicka was able to locate Elle, Venusaur, and Jolteon. "Alright you guys, we're gonna go ahead and challenge the gym leader," she announced, absently rubbing her hands together as she thought through her strategy. Elle blinked in surprise. 'A-are you sure? I don't know if we've trained enough...' she murmured telepathically. "Yeah, we'll be fine. You and Venusuar will head things but Jolteon will be there as back up. It shouldn't be too bad," Ajicka replied simply, adjusting some things on her belt. 'So we'll be using type advantages, then...?' the gardevoir confirmed, more than a little surprised. Ajicka nodded, looking up and dropping her arms to her side. "Mm, yeah, this time. I'm getting impatient and I still don't know what exactly I'm going to do for the next one. Honestly I'd rather get this region done with and start on another," she admitted, rubbing her hands together and glancing around, "Restart fresh. Even if that means using type advantages for the time being. I'll figure out a better, more fair strategy for the next region."
Elle still seemed a little surprised, but nodded. Venusaur shifted to lay down, listening curiously. He was still getting used to being so big... and heavy. Suddenly, Elle perked up, looking worred as she tapped her fingers together. 'Oh, ah, Ajicka... You should know... Venusaur ate a... a strange mushroom while we were out... I think it was a Balm Mushroom,' she informed, tapping her hands together a bit. Ajicka blinked, giving her pokemon a very blunt stare. She looked to Venusaur. "Seriously?" she muttered. Venusaur blinked. Was... was that bad....? He glanced at Elle nervously, then looked apologetically back to his trainer.
Ajicka sighed, gesturing. "Use all your moves, Venusaur, one after the other, starting with Solar Beam" she instructed. The large pokemon climbed to his feet, turning and preparing to use Solar Beam. Instead, however, a sudden weight seemed to crash down on the area, and even Ajicka dropped to her knees, as Elle yelped and fell, and Torchic flailed before bellyflopping in the ground. Jolteon growled, resisting the movement, but her legs shook under the force. Surprised, Venusaur scuttled away, and the weight alleviated. "Agh, well... I guess that answer's it. You know Gravity," Ajicka muttered, climbing back to her feet. That could be... useful in the future, honestly, but it didn't do much at the present. Still, it didn't really hurt. And at least it replaced solar beam...
Venusaur forgot Solar Beam and learned Gravity through Balm Mushroom! ( rolled for here )

Sighing a bit, Ajicka dusted herself off, then pulled out her pokeballs to recall her pokemon. "I'm going to get you all healed, then we'll go challenge the gym leader, alright?" she clarified, and once they'd all given a nod of confirmation, she recalled them, tucking the pokeballas away and heading for the pokecenter. She strode through the entrance and up to the counter, torchic doing her best to keep up, scurrying along at her heel. While she waited for her pokemon to be healed, Ajicka went ahead and assessed the gym leader again. There were a few potential challenges, but, honestly... it shouldn't be too difficult. She would lead with Venusaur, if she had to go first. Hopefully not though... She wanted to make this battle fast.
Once her pokemon were set, she tucked their pokeballs away and made her way for the gym. She walked in with as much purpose and determination as she always did, but there was less fierceness to her gaze; she didn't consider this gym as much of a challenge as normal. Mostly because she knew she wasn't setting herself up for one. "Crasher Wake! I challenge you to a gym battle!" she called. As he strode out, shoulders back and a grin on his face, she had to hold back a reaction. He looked like quite a... character. "Huah! Nice to see a competitor around here! Let's see what you've got!" he laughed. She held back a response, took a moment, and then exhaled, releasing Venusaur onto the stage.

Gym Leader Crasher Wake
Wake looked on in awe as his last pokemon was taken down in a single shot, a silence following Gyarados' fall. "Uhahaha!" the gym leader burst out into laughter, his stomach shaking with the booming merriment. "Now that's what I call a battle! I can't remember the last time I had this much fun!" Wake wiped a tear from his eye, his entire expression transforming into one of joy. He recalled his fainted pokemon, collected Ajicka's items, and then approached the young girl, humming a tune underneath his breath. "That display of yours, little miss, is exactly why I created that last little line to my theme song, you wanna hear it?" He didn't wait for her answer before he launched into his song, "Put out the fire Crasher Wake! Run from electricity, Crasher Wake!" He burst into another boisterous laugh before he could finish and only once he was finished did he hand Ajicka her badge and a disc. "Here you are! The Fen badge and Brine! You've certainly earned them."

Ajicka quirked an eyebrow at the man's reaction. He... he laughed. Laughed? He laughed?! Honestly she felt like punching him in the face! Not so much for the laughing but for those CHEAP tactics! Not cheap... They were... Well, she really hated to admit it, but they were valid. They were actually really good... Worth considering, in fact. It made her wish she had more ice than fire pokemon,a ctually. BUT. BUT. Still, that was a horrible match. If she didn't have Jolteon, and if Jolteon wasn't so outrageously trained, that might have been an absolute disaster. Not to mention the items she'd had to use. Oi. Still, though, she'd won. That was the important part.
She twitched when the man approached and offered a... song, though. Before she could even start her very adamant refusal, the gym leader burst into chorus, and she took a deep breath, and held it, to keep from lashing out at the man. Honestly he could probably block her punch and take her down if she tried, looking at him. At the very least, even if she di do something, it probably wouldn't really even hurt him. She cracked her knuckles a bit in irritation as she waited, but nodded as she was finally handed her rewards, reaching out to take them. "Thank you..." she muttered in a very restrained voice.
Taking her winnings, she quickly left the gym, heading to heal her pokemon. With that done, she would have to take a look at what to do next. She had quite a few options before her...

Rubbing her face as she waited for her pokemon to get healed, Ajicka mulled over her options. She wanted to train torchic. Honestly she wanted to train all her pokemon. She wasn't sure Jolteon could get much stronger, though. Bayron could get stronger, so could Elle... Venusaur for sure, she would need him for the last gym leader in this region, if nothing else. She was still debating between starting in a new region, or continuing here. Maybe both? She could split her team... Train some lower level pokemon and start going through the lower level gyms in another region, while also training her stronger pokemon so she could come back and defeat this region as she went? That sounded possible... But she would have to figure out who to bring.

At least now that she knew about the Day Care, she had that option, too. Maybe she would send Monny-- Monferno, that is -- there. He'd probably enjoy the opportunity to run around. She wanted to keep Houndoom with her, train him up for the next gym, since he was already a good level. He, Elle, Venusaur, and probably Bayron would all be good pokemon to have for the remaining four gyms. Honestly, she wanted to continue training Fritz, too, but he was fire and psychic, and she already had both of those. Maybe she could... But Bayron had already spent so much time on the sidelines..... Okay... Okay so maybe she could send Fritz to the Day Care with Monferno, let him train and... keep an eye on the chimp, while she trained Elle, Venusaur, Bayron, and Houndoom. Ruffling a hand through her hair, Ajicka gave a heavy sigh. She really had way too many pokemon. Way, way, way too many pokemon. But at least she was halfway through this region.... And she had a decent potential team to try and take out the rest. It was just a lot of training that she had a head of her. For a lot of pokemon. To prepare for a lot fo gyms. But that was the challenge of it. That was why she was doing this. To get to her potential, to get her pokemon to her potential, to get all the badges and train the best team she could. She still had a lot of pokemon that she would add to that team, there was no doubt, but for now, she would focus on the pokemon she had before her. She would send Fritz and Monny to the Day Care. She would train Bayron, Elle, Houndoom, and Venusaur. She would get rid of Edge. But first, she needed to see whether Jolteon wanted to keep training just a little longer... to reach her final strength.

Elle glanced nervously between the two, before speaking up, holding her hands up together in a bit of a pleading gesture. 'Y-you were just figuring out who to send to the Day Care, weren't you Ajicka? Maybe you could send Gyarados? I bet he'd enjoy it,' she commented with nervous optimism. Ajicka swiveled her gaze over to give her gardevoir a blunt stare, clearly not impressed by the attempt at change in atmosphere. After a moment, though, she rolled her shoulders and cracked her head from side to side, intentionally ruffling Edge up a bit in the process. The bird glared at back at her. If PIdgeys could growl, he probably would be.

Moving towards the PC, Ajicka pulled out Fritz and Monfern's pokeballs. She looked down at them a moment, then finally let them both out, tucking the balls away to fold her arms over her chest. "I'm going to be sending you two to the Daycare," she informed them, looking specifically to Fritz as she concluded this statement, "Fritz, you probably won't stay as long as Monferno, but while you're there, keep an eye on him. Try and find Gyarados at some point, so he can help and watch him after you leave. Try and train up, but don't worry about ti too much; I'll come get you so that we can get back to training after a bit. I just have to focus on some other things first, alright?" she asked, bowing her head a bit to look at him. The little Fennekin shifted a bit, glancing sideways at Monferno, then looking back towards his trainer and giving a nod. Ajicka smiled - briefly - in an appreciative manner, then looked more seriously towards Monferno.
"You behave. Don't get into trouble," she demanded. He smiled back at her, then lifted a hand in a wave, and she rolled her eyes. She looked back to Fritz. "Just do your best," she requested, before recalling them both. She sighed, but moved to the PC and sent them both to the Day Care -- after a bit of fiddling around and some assistance from Elle -- as well as Gyarados, then stepped back, pausing thoughtfully. Maybe now would be a good time to pull out a pokemon or two, too...
