Arriving in the City Simon returned Noivern and went into the Pokemon Center to heal his team up. Once that was done he went over to the PC putting Greninja aside for now so that he could take out Weed. Setting her down on the ground he removed the Leaf Stone and held it out to Weed. She happily took it and started to glow until she evolved into Vileplume. Scanning it Simon and Weed learned that she was now the "flower Pokemon. Vileplume has the world's largest petals. They are used to attract prey that are then doused with toxic spores. Once the prey are immobilized, this Pokemon catches and devours them.""Pllluu,"she said hugging him when he knelt and hugged her back and returned her. Another Pokemon that wanted to evolve with a leaf stone was his Exeggcute, the non-colored ones. Taking them out he handed them a stone which the five eggs bounced the stone between them before they evolved. When the six foot tall Exeggutor appeared Nurse Joy didn't look too happy so Simon returned them sending them back home. Retrieving Greninja Simon looked through the list of Pokemon at home who wanted to evolve.

Coming back in front outside Simon quickly revived his team, hoping the three weaker ones weren't mad at him. The Pokemon in this area were a lot stronger than anywhere else so the only training he could do was switch training. That was fine with him, he's go ahead and use the last Black Flute to catch Magnemite then go somewhere with more water to train Flaaffy completely. Heading outside he played the Black Flute since the next Pokemon he was going to train would be grass or water so that he could locate more Black Flutes in cave systems. Oh good there were two left, that was fine. As it crumbled the small electric Pokemon he was after arrived, "Magnemite the magnet Pokemon. Magnemite attaches itself to power lines to feed on electricity. If your house has a power outage, check your circuit breakers. You may find a large number of this Pokemon clinging to the beaker box." Sending out Flaaffy to start out Simon returned him for Dusknoir.

There were three grass Pokemon he wanted to train up next but with Aron's long journey to fully evolve it would only be two at a time. Cottonee and Seedot, though he had neither one. Then there was Shroomish as he still wanted Breloom for the Elite Four. Maybe he'd even switch out Dusknoir for Shroomish for now since he wanted his Elite Four Pokemon to all be at max before taking them on. Thanking Dusknoir for his help at the moment he returned him to let the Pokecenter heal them all up. Once it was over he thanked Nurse Joy and settled in to one of the chairs. Opening the Pokenav he did a quick search for Cottonee locations and he discovered they were mostly seen in Unova in Lostlorn Forest. First he'd grab a quick drink before heading out.

Sipping on the drink Simon started to look over the Unova message boards. Apparently the Lostlorn Forest was located just outside Nimbasa City. Hopefully Noivern could just take them directly to the forest. Finishing his drink Simon rose and threw it away before heading outside. Sending out Noivern and Dusknoir Simon asked the first one if he could take them directly to the forest. Noivern bobbed his head but spoke as well, "Vern noi oi""He says he will be able to take you straight there." Dusknoir said translating his friend's words. Maybe Greninja would go home to relax while Shroomish remained with them. Regardless Simon thanked Dusknoir and returned him before climbing upon Noivern and telling him where to go, with that they were off.

Ajicka got ready for her gym battle, taking a deep breath, before striding over. She was fairly certain that this wouldn't be too difficult. Challenging, but not a close call. She'd done this before, and she hadn't even really used type advantages then. She was now, though. She didn't like it, but she wanted to get done. She was so close. And then... then she could head to Unova. She could begin clearing out her team, figuring out what to do. She wasn't happy to think that she would have to put pokemon in storage, but... it was likely inevitable. Hopefully she could circulate them through the Day Care, at the very least, and after she had accomplished her goal, she could train them again.... But for now, her mind was set. She was going to focus.
But first, she was going to defeat this gym.

Volkner hummed thoughtfully as Ajicka finished off his last pokemon. "It's funny.... I've been looking for a challenge. Most trainers who come to battle me are beaten too easily. For the longest time, I gave up trying." He tapped his chin thoughtfully, his apathetic gaze to the ground. "Then here you come along, and I've gotten my challenge, but.... I'm left remarkably unsatisfied." He glanced at Ajicka analytically. "You're like me, aren't you? Winning comes easily. Too easily. I thought about going to challenge the elite four once, but it's clear from battles like these that I'm not strong enough yet, and while I could get stronger, I don't really see the point anymore." He made his way towards Ajicka and handed over her victory spoils. "Well whatever. It's not my business what you do I suppose. You beat me, so here you go. You've earned the Beacon Badge and the TM Charge Beam. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for." He dismissed with a wave, turning to go work more on his electric puzzles.

Ajicka stared dully at the gym leader as he did his musings. She wasn't so rude that she was going to interrupt, but she wasn't exactly engaged by them, either. Honestly, she didn't blame him. It wasn't much of a challenge, after all. It was just her, almost literally, bulldozing through his pokemon with cheap tactics and type advantages. She held out her hand, taking her prizes, and tilting her head up. "Next time, I'll give you a real challenge. No cheap type advantages or endless earthquakes," she replied off-handedly, "If I have time to get back here." She tucked her prizes away, looking over Volkner once, before turning to leave. It was... weird. The conversation. She was good at being dismissive-- he was almost somehow better. Was that what it was like to be a good gym leader? Nothing mattered?
... Was it like that to be the Champion of a region? She frowned. That wasn't the future she was hoping to look forward to... And it wasn't the one she was going to get. She was determined on that.
