The last attack from her opponent certainly caught her off-guard. She hadn't expected running into a Pokemon with a move that could totally annihilate Uth like that. In the end, luckily, it knocked itself out. She'd actually heard of the attack Final Gambit awhile back, but from where she couldn't remember. Whatever the case, she'd won, and after using a revive on Uth, she began administering potions to his wounds. The snake-like dragon rested the length of his body along the ground, coiling around Ko as she healed him up. Thankfully none of the other neighbor's wanted to battle, so after Uth got some rest, she'd take off for the gym. Or so she thought.
It wasn't a neighbor who approached her next, in fact she wasn't even sure this person was a resident of Sunyshore. A man, astride a large Aerodactyl flew down with a stern look on his eyes. Uth rose his head, turning towards the man, a deep growl came from the snake dragon's throat. Ko directed her eyes up towards the man. They locked gazes. This man... sent a shiver down her spine. She'd never seen him before, that was for sure. But then Vana, out of nowhere rushes over towards the old man, cupping her mouth to extend her voice. "Father, what are you doing here?!" Ko's eyes widened. Wait what? She'd never seen this man before, but now she's to believe she has a grandfather? Where the heck had he been this entire time? The man turned his gaze to Vana, no sign of enthusiasm to see his daughter on his face. He landed instead, sliding off the Aerodactyl's back. The rock-bird screeched before taking flight once more. Ko stood still, clutching one of Uth's frill's. A hushed exchange of words were spit-fired between Vana and the old man before he finally turned towards Ko and began approaching her.
"You. Kotensa, correct? My... granddaughter?" The word granddaughter was strained... of course he knew she was adopted, but until now this was the first time he'd seen her. Ko nodded, to afraid to reply. "So I've heard you've been traveling again, and now this tme you've returned home with more than just a broken spirit, a man and legendary at your side." His words sounded more like statements then questions, but Ko nodded regardless. "Do you even know what legend that is? What stories and powers it resembles?" This time she shook her head. The Old man stared down at her, disappointment in his eyes. Vana quickly rushed to her father's side, tugging at his arm like Ko did with Kezia. "Father, don't be hard on her. She's my daughter after all." The man glanced over towards Vana. Ko could see a flash of something human in them, finally. Though once his cold stare returned to her all she saw was anger. "It's strange how you look just like my wife did, yet you're not even blo--" "Father." Vana tugged his arm again, cutting off her father from finishing his sentence. It was true though, Ko knew it too, she'd seen pictures of Vana's Late mother, her grandmother. "Whatever the case, I've come a long way to discuss something your mother and father. You will not be involved, not yet at least." Ko shifted her gaze. What was that suppose to mean? Was it about her? "My husband isn't home, actually.. Ko-dear was actually on her way to meet her father at the gym. It's her final badge by the way." Vana chuckled, boasting about her daughter, even if her father wasn't really showing to much excitement for her. "Your eight badge huh? Just like before, except this time you're actually going to make it? Well, than, if Rufus isn't here, I suppose my business can wait. Why don't I test you than, Kotensa." Ko arched a brow in disbelief. Another freaking battle... ugg, well Uth seemed roaring to go, again.
She could hardly even believe it.... His first Pokemon was another Fossil, a Bastiodon this time. She grinned at his choice, calling for Uth to use Focus Blast, x4 effective; but she forgot about one detail. It's ability; sturdy. The older man then called for Metal Burst, an attack that, like Final Gambit annihilated Uth. The dragon's body fell limp, it's head twisted back towards Ko's feet. The blond fell to her knee's to gather Uth up, but his head was twice the size of her lap, so all she could do was lay over him. "Is that all? You have a legendary on your team, and it can only last one turn?" Kezia leaped forward, her paws up. "Hey! Lay off her already! You've been staring daggers at Ko ever since you got here! What the hell is your issue, old man!?" Ko fetched her only Max revive out of her bag and quickly brought Uth back, full power. Vana's father narrowed his eyes. "Call back your Pokemon, Kotensa. This is not it's battle." She didn't respond. " Grr.... Don't ignore me!" Breathing in the fox spewed forth burning flames that burst against the steel platting of the Bastiodon, knocking it out. "Kezia." Ko called, standing back up, Uth coiled around her. "It's alright.... Thanks for the help, but Uth's got it from here."

Broken arm recovery time: 7/60 Days ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Ohmarow was already back on his feet and about to make his way over to Ko having set the now burned out pipe on the patio table, Qungra returned to her spot on his shoulder with the smoke gone, when he heard the sound of the large bat like pokemon coming in for a landing. He couldn't make out features of it due to his depth perception problems but it become quite clear a human was riding it. As it landed in the yard Ohmarow instantly knew something wasn't right when Vana of all people was the first to confront the man. He couldn't hear everything said between them but he distinctively heard the word father. So he made the assumption he was her grand father. The Arons at his feet barking and growling angrily at the man as he addressed Kotensa and Vana. The twins were making such a fuse he ended up having to return them simply to hear what the old man had to say correctly. Beellgra had fallen dead listening as well Qungra too. Shortly upon returning the twins he learn he was in fact correct though the old man seemed about to say something else when Vana broke him off mid sentience. He was a little curios as to what Blo was. Wait Blood ? Was he about to say Kotensa wasn't blood ? He couldn't make such an assumption but it was the only word he could think of that fit with Blo and into the sentence the old man was seemingly going to use. He guest it was something she didn't want widely known or didn't care to talk about or just didn't care about. He could relate none the less and It didn't change anything. Just another topic he wouldn't bring up, like Jonathon.
Stepping up behind Ko now holding the poke'balls to both Brimja and Dust watching as the battle unfolded before him with Kezia unleashing the first real strike against the old man in a wave of flames. He couldn't believe his eyes. He even stepped back in shock watching as the inferno engulfed the Bastiodon avenging Uth after its failed attempt. Looking back to Uth who Ko had just healed and was now looming over them,. He had never considered the pokemon could be a legendary. another secret, then again he could have found out if he'd ever been bothered to scan it himself. So really she hadn't made much effort to hide it from anyone. Uth quickly replaces Kezia on the front line. As she stepped back letting Uth take the lead he felt now a little apprehensive towards the pokemon, he'd never known she could be so powerful herslf, he even thought she along was strong enough to beat all of his pokemon in turn. Turning back to the battle ohmarow clinched his hands tightly around the poke'ball's.
Kotensa was winning but the mans icy cold eyes made Ohmarow want to do something besides be a bystander. Watching as the battle came to a close he came to the realization of just how weak he was compared to Kotensa and by extension her family. A feeling of helplessness and a complete inability to actually protect her started to cloud his thought. If anything she would be the one protecting him. In fact considering the difference in Ozzalu to Uth he had no doubt that he could never match her in a battle. She'd been holding back he assumed not to outshine, embarrass or simply to protect his pride. Ether way he felt hurt to some degree, not by her hiding anything but in his inability to grow. Something was clearly holding him back but he couldn't put a finger to what. Once the battle was over and Ko had another victory though this one seemed a little harder then the last few, he wanted to step in between her and the old man but this was a family affair and he had no experience in such matters. He felt compelled to do something but all he could do was return the man cold icy stair back in turn though he was sure he was about as threatening as a caterpie bucking up to a charizard.
Placing a hand on ko's shoulder wanting to get her attention. "You ok ?' He had stepped up to her side only now braking eye contact with the old man. He wasn't sure if Ko was upset or not. Looking back to Kezia he often times forgot she was an a pokemon because she so rarely looked like one. This wasn't his place to act if anything it was her's. If anyone was to protect Ko it was Kezia. No questions asked. He was simply support in the here and now and he understood that more so then he wanted to. "Good job Uth, you to Kezia." He nodding up to the worm unsure what to say considering everything.

She returned her gaze to her grandfather and mother, the man's cold stare. Kezia was still steaming, but the praise from Ohm pulled her back. "Anyway, Mother, I think I'll be going. Looks like I've outstayed my welcome at my own home anyway." Stepping forward Ko joined her mother in a hug while Kezia followed suit. She stood across from the old man, only about chest high to the man, she sized him up as if she was standing taller then him. The man's eye twitched and for a moment Kezia noticed a hint of satisfaction in his eyes. "Don't be gone long, dear." Vana muttered. "Good luck." Quickly sneaking another hug. Ko stepped away, turning one last time towards her grandfather and with a quick grin and a curtsy, she headed back towards Ohm. Kezia turned with huff, phasing back into her human-self. "Let's go, Ohm." Ko quickly stated, stopping for a moment to show him her smile. He seemed so focused... had he heard all that that man had said? Ohm, ever her white knight stuck in traffic... Some old fart comes busting in your home showing no respect, borderline insulting people and acting like some big shot bad a**. It would be enough to piss any body off. With Ko and Kezia ready to leave, and not just because the battles were over he duckedback to snap his backpack and pipe before stopping to look the old man over one last time. He wasn't sure how they intended to deal with this family matter and he considered it really known of his business but he couldn't help but want to say something. His temper was flared but unlike back at the temple at Ecruteak he felt he had no right to say anything, at least not to anyone aside from Ko herself. So he would grit and bare his temper for now. Once on the road nd out of ear shot as he attempted to sling his bag over his good shoulder he finally spoke while finding it was simply easier to let the bag hang off his arm like a purse regardless the weight. "I get the feeling that was the first time you've ever seen your grandfather?" He had wanted to ask pretty much sense the old man has said her name the first time, as if it had been a question rather then a statement, at least to him. "He seems nice." He said being obviously sarcastic in the remark. "Like a Syther giving a foot message." He was attempting to make a joke to the effect how the pokemon had blades rather then fingers while he motioned with his bad hand making an odd slashing motion. "and you could have told me Uth was a legendary by the way." He shrugged his last comment off coming along side Ko having stuck behind her and Kezia so far. "But that wasn't much of a secret, just me being to lazy to scan him." He was atempting small talk to help calm her down or at least get her to vent. Ether way he just wanted her to relax back down. He wasn't use to seeing Ko of all people upset, well at least not mad. He did however have a slight bit of concern he might be pushing the wrong button's and would only make her worse.

It'llbe good for him in the long run. He'll ether need to come to terms with the fact he's weaker and admit to it or work harder, but with his mentality he'll work harder which wont end well for his pokemon who he'll probably over work a little. Grunted Ohmarow as he rolled over releasing the twin Arons who wasted no time in chasing after the pokemon. Through gritted teeth and a little blood marked his shoulder where the stitching has been pulled. Ohmarow pushed off the ground to find his feet before stumbling back to all fours. "Little ********, Damn it that hurts." he barked. Ohmarow had been mostly oblivious to how Ko was reacting to his temper or the attack. Returning to his feet using the tree as a support not having a staff-can anymore to act as his third leg. Turning now to Ko and Kezia realizing his temper and how he had to look considering. "Sorry, I hide it well but i have my moments." He still looked like he might explode for even the slightest reason but his voice remained calm. The twins returned about then dragging a kicking and screaming Pawniard held by the arms by jaws clamped down like a vice preventing its escape. Turning back to the pokemon slumping back down to the ground as his shoulder stopped bleeding leaving a mark of about 4 to 5 inch's worth of now blood soaked cloth as his reward on the otherwise white shirt. "So you've been the little monster pestering me i assume?" He didn't need or want an answer. Pulling a silver and white pokeball from his pocket, leaning forward to press the button into its face. A flash of light and the pokemon was sealed inside the sphere. Crumbling backwards a little stopping only to prevent his shoulder hitting the hard ground, he looked up to Ko from his new spot on the roads hot pavement. "Today's going to be a lovely day, i can just tell. Its already off to such a great start, it couldn't possible get any worse right ?" He spoke closing his eyes and attempting to calm back down having lost his temper more so just then then he had in a good few months. Not sense he had met Ko anyway. "Sorry i blow up like that."

But still, what was Uth's purpose for joining her? Surely it couldn't have been just because he was 'curious about humans'? It had to be more than that, but before Ko could linger on the thought any longer, she felt the whoosh of something pass by her, rather above her. She found herself staring face to head with Ohm, who was now dangling from a tree by his leg. "Ohm!" She called in exasperation. The culprit of this cruel prank was quickly found out and apprehended before Ko could do much of anything to help, she was there at least to act as a support of Ohm. Wasn't something missing? Oh, his cane. Come to think of it she hadn't seen him with it at all.... had he lost it at the festival? Her gaze lingered away... then an idea popped into her head. Turning away from Ohm she quickly beckoned Kezia over.

A shift unseen happened then, as Kezia set up an illusion, what seemed like a blink in time, Kezia approached Ohm, now disguised as Ko. Ko, disguised as Kezia quickly ran off into a busy street in the distance. Ko had an idea, and she wanted the result to be a surprise to Ohm. "Are you still okay to walk? We can rest for a minute." The fake-Ko asked. Kezia had Ko's smile down pat, she didn't even need to mirror Ko with an illusion. Ko was actually quite easy to mimic.

Broken arm recovery time: 7/60 Days ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Unable to do much else for the time being Ohmarow thought now might be as good a time as any to retire his weaker pokemon in exchange for his stronger ones. He could return to training them when the time was right but for now he was considering his lack of power compared to Ko and his need to collect more gym badge. He had to do something to catch up to her other wise he'd always be left behind.
Next on his list was the dreaded Knuckle badge. Earned from a fighting type gym. A gym nether his dark nor steel types would win easily. If he was going to win a battle with that gym at all he would need to train a select few pokemon to just for that purpose. Shinge and Grim for sure, Plaation and Grindda were close seconds and Beellgra and Qungra, as much as he didn't want to put her on the battle field, would round out the team he thought he'd need to win. He'd need to challenge some trainers soonish too.
Pulling out his PokeDex, which he needed disparately to update, he began switching his pokemon around leaving the new Pawnaird in the PC being much to annoyed to want to train it just yet. He talked as he worked. "Maybe not but nether am i really, Kazie, you and Uth-" He was still unaware the Kezia was Ko and the Kazie before him was a fake. "-make Ozzlua look like a pet Treecko. Don't tell him i said that ether. Im pretty sure he'd eat me if you did." He was tucking the PokeDex back into his pants pocked having finished what he was doing, only now releasing his Skarmory, Shinge, and ducking into his backpack. "Iv gotten lax, i need to get back to training and actually get my a** in gear if im ever going to come any were close to you two. Im tired of watching from the side lines every time trouble comes up. Im weak and i can't stand weakness in myself." He was showing a little more temper but directed at himself and he wasn't just directing the comment to his skills as a trainer but his body as well. Sense his become hindered he had begun hating his body more and more for the weakness and inability to do what he once could. It was a weakness he would need to live with though. "Iv never allowed myself the luxury of a weakness so i can't start now." He was using a TM on Shinge, Roost, at this point. He'd been saving it for a while. Next was a heartscale stuffed into the very bottom of his bag. It was chipped and old. "Here Qungra, Think you can learn something good for me ? I'll need you if we're to beat chuck." The tiny pokemon drifted down to pick up the scale and quickly absorbed it. "All done. I wished for a power that would help us in bad times." Ohmarow smiled softly. "Good girl."
With not much else he could do now he began restuffing his bag. "I think i can stand now." Forcing himself back up into his legs without the help of the tree for support this time he made his way gingerly up to the fake Ko. The blood from his short had run down his shoulder a little. He didn't seem bothered by it, or even to have noticed it yet."So badge number eight huh. Better not lose." He shrugged shifting his shoulder back and forth as he spoke. "Lose after all that drama and ill im going to require compensation." He teased lightly limping slowly attempting to leave Kezia and the fake Ko. "First one there does the dish's !"

Kezia quirked a brow at Ohm's selection of words. "Compensation?" She mused, arched a brow. Folding her arms she tried to mime Ko's often mischievous grin. "What If I win?" She asked. If he required something for her losing, then he would in turn owe her something for winning, right? Whatever the case the fox set forth, trailing behind Ohm keeping her gaze on him. The air seemed to lighten now, as if the dark clouds that had been frozen over them had finally started to be blown away... perhaps for now they could actually enjoy themselves? Though, that brought to mind that Ko should actually be the one here enjoying this light-hearted Ohm, not her.... Where was that woman anyway?
Ko was stuck between two different canes... one held a secret compartment near it's base, while the other held a ornate head. She was growing increasingly frustrated between the two choices, until the store's attendant approached her. "For you father? Or Grandfather perhaps?" The woman asked. Ko shook her head. "Neither... Boyfriend." Meeting gazes with the woman Ko caught a dirty look. "He has a bum leg, and... he lost his cane because of me." Ko added, a bit of spite in her own tone. The woman's eyes widened. "Oh, sorry... I mean, I 'm sorry to hear that. Well, if you're having troubles choosing between those two, I have a book over by the register with more selections, we might have what you're looking for in the back." The woman's tone was apologetic. Her smile returning Ko joined the woman over the book. There were many she'd thought were actually pretty nice, but one stuck out to her above the rest. A Steelix-head can. It's body was lumpy, giving the look of an actual Steelix. The price on the custom cane was of no issue, once Ko heard they only had one in stock. "Put it on this." Ko stated as she fished out a small rectangular golden card. She was meant to only use that in emergencies, and well... with Ohm, it was an emergency.

Kezia was unsure if she should have let Ohm win or not, so she simply made the competition end in a tie, walking at his pace the entire way to the gym. Ko, who'd taken a short cut had managed to get there just before them, the cane hidden behind her back. Spotting Ko, Kezia slowed down her pace and quickly broke the illusion. No doubt Ohm would be startled by Ko's sudden leap into first place. Kezia put herself back into her human illusioned self as she joined Ko at her side. "Ohm...~" Ko called, her tone suggesting she was also in high spirits.

His limp was a little more prominent due to the noose trap, it had jerked his hip much to hard. Fo-Ko's question of what she'd get if she won made him pause mentally a second to consider a possible prize. Turning back in his shock his leg again gave in and he only just caught himself from becoming a lump on the side walk a second time today. "Oh come on, what gives now!" Qungra burst into laughter as she floated to be just out of reach and little above head level to him. "That was perfect !" "Wait you knew ?" "Ahhh yeah im psychic" She giggled. "Why didn't you say something!" "And miss that scowl turn to shock, not happening !" He ended before floating to be with the girls.
Ohmarow sat holding his bad leg lightly. He wasn't mad but shocked to find he's been tricked, again. This was just like when they'd all first met and Kezia had done something similar. He should have expected this really. An unpredictable pokemon with a equally unpredictable trainer, nothing good could even come of that mixture, well not when it came to being mischievous. "Im going to put a bell around you neck Ko and you Kezia, im going to figure out how your illusions work so you better enjoy this while you can." He barked from his new found spot on the ground. He might as well not have a leg for all the trouble it caused. He slumped over a little unwilling to get back up just yet. No pain to speak of, just a heart racing like he'd been attack by a Haunter.

Broken arm recovery time: 7/60 Days ╔═══════════════════════════════════════════════╗ Ohmarow was in the processes of standing back up, using his knee as support for his arm to push up off of. Listening as Ko and Kazie exchanged banter back and forth. He stopped short though as Ko began to approach. She was hiding something, he could tell by the way she walked. A playful stride. He knelt like prince looking up to Ko who stopped just short of actually helping him up. He waited in silence for her to be finished expecting more jokes and teasing but was greeted with something more, something physical. His face lost any sign of discomfort or displeasure as the cane was presented to him. Held like a sword to be taken by the knight. He froze just staring at the object before him as if it might lung forth to strike him down. Eventually his head dropped and his good arm reached for his face to wipe something away. He remained silence for a time as tears rolled forth hidden just out of sight behind his now shoulder length hair. As the tears slowed to a stop he reached up and pulled the cane away from her fingers. In silence he turned the Steelix to catch every hint of light. It felt strong, heavy at the handle but with a light and easy to move shaft. It was well made, the dark wood complimenting the polished metal head. His finger found natural groves in the Steelix's form to lace his fingers into as he pushed off the ground. His face was still hidden behind his long hair as he tucked the cane into his broken arms half bent elbow. Before Ko could retreat he would again grip her wrist. Pulling Ko towards him until her face was akin to his own. His lips would find ground on her forehead as he now embarrassed her in a half hug unable to use both arms. His hand holding her head rather then try and stand taller or force her down. His face red with blush as he kissed her. He pulled away slowly. Fresh tears returning to his eyes. "Thank you. Ko." His voice, soft, and sad. Not his own in many ways. Finally letting go to wipe the tears away once more and give a wide smile. "But it wasn't anyone's fault, lest of all yours." He continued. He Looking away for a moment now so very unsure of his actions. He'd never kissed anyone that he could remember, well not of his own accord. He had acted without thinking for how she might feel about it. In truth he had been acting upon the impulse to show an affection to great to put to words and it was only now occurring to him that a kiss might be over board. At least it was on the forehead. The awkwardness between them was growing thick. Kezia finally just rolled her eyes and decided to intervene, even if she was feeling a bit jealous.. visions of ZK were the last thing she wanted to be thinking on. "Alright, alright, break it up." Kezia stated, stepping up to rest a hand on both Ohm and Ko, pushing the two apart. She didn't really try to usher Ohm to move before she got Ko to step back, turning with the blonde to continue pushing her towards the gym. "We've got a gym battle to win. Or lose terribly." Glancing back the fox gave Ohm a grin, all the while turning Ko around so the blonde wasn't walking backwards into the gym.
Inside, Ko was instantly met with a familiar face. Viska had sensed Ko was on her way, picking up on the dark-type energy from Kezia even sooner then Ko's more subtle presence. The psychic floated over to Ko, offering a confused expression. "V-viska, I've come to get my father... do you know where he is?" "Right here, dear." Rufus rounded a corner, heading into the lobby of the gym. "I see Ohm's with you, 'bout time he got out of the house." The old man joked, but his face suggested he was slightly serious at the same time, not mad mind. "Yep, I just got home." She replied. "Uhh... Father... my g-- Mom's dad showed up at the house." Rufus stopped cold, blocking Volkner's path, the gym leader having followed Rufus, given the way to the arena was in the same direction. "Your mother's father you say? Hmm.. this is auspicious... He couldn't make out features of it due to his depth perception problems but it become quite clear a human was riding it.
