Vicky's smile became a thin line as she nodded. "But they have moves that aren't just normal so you watch out." Chuckling Simon nodded as Dusknoir used the icy attack again. Persian attempted to scratch at the ghost but it went through Dusknoir so he attacked again knocking Persian out.

The next Pokemon out was Tauros and as the Pokemon charged at Dusknoir Tranquil nuzzled her head against Simon's. Looking at her he asked if she was okay, she cooed and continue to nuzzle him. Simon understood that this was a way for her to show affection which caused Simon to smile and scratch her head as they watched Dusknoir blast through another foe. It was a good thing he had taught Dusknoir that TM. The only other move he knew that could hit the trainer's Pokemon would have been Future Sight and that took a few turns until it even struck home.

Vicky's next Pokemon was Eevee which was a pleasant surprise as most people evolved their Eevee instead of training them up. In its own right Eevee could become a tough fighter if someone let it. Of course battling a Ghost wasn't a way to train up the normal Pokemon as it charge, lowering its head and using take down except once again it flew through Dusknoir. Such a handy feature on the Ghost type, to have when facing normal and fighting Pokemon. Fighting Pokemon weren't as easy since they often had elemental attacks which meant no easy fights which was fine with Simon. To be honest he was disappointed that there were so many normal type trainers around here, but that was just his luck. At least the trainers around here seemed to have a full team.

The next Pokemon that Vicky sent out make the ground shake as he landed on the ground. The Snorlax seemed to be more awake than normal Snorlax since they were known as the lazy Pokemon. Of course after taking the blizzard attack the large Pokemon stretched yawning so big that Vicky, Simon and Dusknoir all yawned as well as the Pokemon rolled back with a thud. Shaking the yawn off Simon was fine with it as well as Tranquill and Vicky however that wasn't just a yawn but an attack so even after Snorlax was defeated the attack lived on and with one more Pokemon to go Dusknoir fell asleep.

Okay starting the round with Dusknoir asleep wasn't a good thing however since he couldn't be hurt by normal attacks Simon decided to wait it out. It seemed to work as, try as it might, her Furret couldn't land a hit as if Dusknoir was actively dodging the moves. On the forth turn Dusknoir finally snapped awake looking around in a daze before seeing that he was still in a battle. Lifting his hands he summoned another freezing blast knocking the Pokemon out. "Thanks for the battle," Vicky said as Simon nodded. "You too, it feel like all the trainers around here are at a disadvantage against me." Vicky laughed after calling him lucky before heading off.

After Vicky and Denis Simon decided to stick around a bit longer to train some more. It might be a bit on the easy side with all the normal Pokemon fighting Dusknoir but he wasn't just training Tranquil but Dusknoir as well. That's when he noticed another trainer wandering the tall grass however he looked more like a bug catcher instead of a normal trainer and he was correct. Bug Catcher Billy was training as well and was happy to battle Simon, since Tranquill was still out after Simon healed up Dusknoir he whispered for her to take the stage and try to win. Dusknoir was there for her so if she finds herself in trouble he can take over and help her out. Tranquill cooed, nuzzled Simon and flew into battle as Billy sent out "Butterfree the butterfly Pokemon. The wings are protected by rain-repellent dust. As a result, this Pokemon can fly about even in rain."

Cheering Tranquill on Simon was worried about the level difference between the bugs and Tranquill was too much. She was showing a lot of strength in the battle using the flying move air cutter over and over again. After Butterfree had been defeated Simon decided to keep her out a bit longer. The poison Pokemon Venomoth hovered there, if it only knew bug type moves Tranquill would be fine but the psychic moves were wearing her down. This time again she managed to defeat the Pokemon but was looking tired.

Calling her back as Billy returned Venomoth Simon sent out Dusknoir as she landed on his shoulder to catch her breath. Billy's next Pokemon was "Beautifly the butterfly Pokemon. It has an aggressive nature. It stabs prey with its long, narrow mouth to drain the prey's fluids." Cracking his knuckles Dusknoir had the type advantage now, not against the bug but against the flying type. One blast of the frozen air knocked the flying Pokemon from the air.

Another flying bug Pokemon came back out, "Dustox the poison moth Pokemon. When Dustox flaps its wings, a fine dust is scattered all over. This dust is actually a powerful poison that will even make a pro wrestler sick. This Pokemon searches for food using its antennae like radar." However this guy was once again not considered flying even though it was flying right now. Bug and poison so Blizzard did good damage but then Dustox threw up a light screen then healed itself. Once he was buffed he started to attack but eventually blizzard broke through and Dustox fainted.

Just as Billy predicted Mothim fainted along with his next Pokemon, "Vivillon the scale Pokemon. Vivillon with many different patterns are found all over the world. These patterns are affected by the climate of their habitat." Once the battle was over they shook hands and parted ways while Simon healed both Dusknoir and Tranquill up. "Hey I want to give you some rare candy so you can evolve and then you can help the others train up as well when we get to an area with Pokemon around your level." Tranquill cooed happily as she took the two rare candies from Simon before she started to evolve into "Unfezant the proud Pokemon. Males swing their head plumage to threaten opponents. The females' flying abilities surpass those of males." Stroking her head Simon returned her and then Dusknoir as well.

Simon could see why the girl had trouble as the kid's first Pokemon was Shedinja, the nearly impossible to hit Pokemon thanks to that ability of its. Simon sent Spoink out to his side before sending out Dusknoir to show him whose boss.

The girl from before came back over tears still in her eyes as she wiped them away with her sleeve. Eugene frowned returning Shedinja and sending out another one and it clicked, even if the girl could get a hit in he had five more Shedinja waiting in the wings. "Shedinja is an amazing Pokemon but what you're doing gives your opponent no hope unless they have a way to counter you. Dusknoir, show no mercy, Shadow Punch!"

What kind of person not only used a sly tactic like this but then lorded his victory over the girl enough to make her run away crying? "I'll show him how to be a grateful victor," he said to her and she mouthed a small, thank you. Then to Dusknoir, in his mind, "Are his Pokemon happy?" Dusknoir made a fist and threw another Shadow Punch at the Pokemon, since it's super effective the Pokemon fainted. "There's no such thing as bad Pokemon, just bad people who use them. They don't agree with what he had done but they are still loyal to him." Simon nodded as the fourth Shedinja came out.

These battles were worse than when Dusknoir faced the normal Pokemon because at least they had a chance, Shedinja didn't stand one. With the Ghost type and the single point of health Shedinja came with Simon could use Unfezant if he wanted to and he could defeat Eugene just as fast because of the bug and flying typing. Regardless Dusknoir kept it up, heck even with the spell tag that he was carrying the move was even more powerful. Defeating the fourth Shedinja Simon hoped for something new at least until Shedinja number five came out.
