A volcano that rests on the Northeastern Island. Despite being dormant, pools of lava can be found scattered around the landscape, and a scorching heat accompanies any visit to this place.
The road ascends in a huge contour up the mountain. A huge clearing opens up that contains a large patch of tall grass.
The exterior of Stark Mountain is complex and the path winds around pools of bubbling lava. It is darker and aesthetic features have been enhanced. By traveling to the northeastern corner, a path will open up. By following it the road will lead through two pools of smoking, bubbling lava around another bend to the entrance of the interior of the mountain.
Inside the volcano lies a maze of corridors, formed by long-ceased rivers of lava. The heat persists, and this has become a perfect home for fire type Pokemon.
-7 rp posts are required, then roll a 10-sided dice. This will determine the Pokemon that appears. In the next post, roll a 4-sided dice to determine level of the wild Pokemon.
Arriving on the mountain top Simon returned and thanked Noivern through his Pokeball. Walking to a wall Simon opened his pack and remove his long sleeved shirt for a navy blue short sleeved one. That was because this was less of a mountain and more of a volcano. It was safe to train on as he could see others wandering about so Simon put his shirt away and started towards the tall grass only to be asked by a young man if they could have a battle. Knowing it was a good way to train up one of the newer Pokemon Simon agreed sending out Spoink first before switching out for Dusknoir. The trainer's, Denis, first Pokemon was, "Furfrou the poodle Pokemon. Historically, in the Kalos region, these Pokemon were the designated guardians of the king."

Returning his first Pokemon Denis was a little downtrodden, all of his Pokemon were normal type. However Simon reminded him that the ghost moves wouldn't effect his team and some normal Pokemon knew dark moves like that bite. Looking happier Denis sent out his next Pokemon. "Bunnelby the digging Pokemon. It has ears like shovels. Digging holes strengthens its ears so much that they can sever thick roots effortlessly." Once again Dusknoir set off with a blizzard attack making the arena cold despite the pool of lava a short distance away. Using his shovel like ears Bunnelby hurled mud at Dusknoir. This went on another round before a powerful blizzard knocked Bunnelby out.

The next Pokemon that came out was one of those charging Pokemon, Bouffalant. Having battled his fair share of them Simon knew that its most powerful moves still probably wouldn't hurt Dusknoir as he continued to use blizzard as his other attacks wouldn't be as effective. Just as he thought after trying to slow Dusknoir down and failing to get faster than it Bouffalant tried to use head charge only to have the move go through Dusknoir again. Another freezing attack knocked this Pokemon down.

The next Pokemon took a moment for Simon as he considered switching Pokemon when Audino appeared. However he didn't remembering that it was a normal unless it Mega Evolved even though it looked like a fairy type. Denis looked nervous about this Pokemon and after the first attack Simon understood that Audino had no other attacks aside from normal. Telling Dusknoir to quickly take it out the Ghost Pokemon understood unleashing blizzard again and again until the Pokemon fainted. Even so Audino didn't give up as she attempted several times to land hits unsuccessfully.

It had been awhile since he battled a full team but the next Pokemon Denis sent out worried him. "Stoutland the big-hearted Pokemon. Being wrapped in its long fur is so comfortable that a person would be fine even overnight on a wintry mountain." It was all normal but Simon knew that dog Pokemon often knew a lot of dark moves. Starting things off after bracing the cold Stoutland bit at Dusknoir and even though it looked like a normal move its dark typing hit Dusknoir. Since Dusknoir still out sped Stoutland that one powerful bite was all it could do as it was encased in cold before fainting.

The last Pokemon Denis had was an evolved form, "Lickilicky the licking Pokemon. It wraps things with its extensible tongue. Getting too close to it will leave you soaked with drool." Continuing on with the trend of the powerful ice attacks since his ghost ones would be ineffective. Once the battle was won Simon healed Dusknoir up and returned him before walking over to Denis. "If I didn't have a ghost Pokemon your Pokemon would have had a better change," Simon explained as Denis nodded. "True, guess it was an unlucky break. Any way thanks for the battle." Simon nodded and thanked him back before they parted ways.

Walking around the edge of the volcanic pit that had lava in it pretty deep down. White smoke came up from it but there was probably a crack in the bottom which was why this pit was not as filled as the other one. Suddenly there was a burst of smoke that was black against the white, the form went from a blob to a trainer. Taking a few steps back Simon was surprised as the darkness stepped out and turned to face him. It was the darkness trainer from the Haunted House, who looked like Red from Kanto but all shadowy. Taking out a Pokeball Simon realized that they were going to battle and Simon was ready as well. Expecting the Pokemon from the house Simon was surprised as the first Pokemon out was Gengar, different from before.

Worried that after defeating Gengar the trainer would toss the Pokeball into the lava Simon shakily ordered Dusknoir to use his own Shadow Ball. Increased by the spell tag he wore it instantly defeated the Gengar but unlike before the trainer simply returned it. The next Pokemon that came out was Sableye, another ghost and it might just be a coincidence but another Pokemon that had the possibility to Mega Evolve with the right stone.

As the fainted Pokemon was returned the next Pokemon came out, yet another Pokemon with Mega Evolution potential. Banette looked ready to fight however because of the ghost typing and speed increase due to level Dusknoir would hit first. The drakness trainer's face didn't change, or as far as Simon could tell since it was next to impossible. Thinking the command to Dusknoir who formed the Shadow ball in his hands before hurling it at the puppet Pokemon.

With no more ghost Pokemon that could Mega Evolve Simon wondered who was coming out next. Even the red light that came out to return Banette was darker as was everything else even the Pokemon were different. They weren't shiny but probably the opposite. The next Pokemon was Golurk, instead of aqua of the normal form or navy blue of shiny it was dark, navy blue. The markings were orange instead of yellow and the bandage and bands on its body was a dark crimson. Impressed Simon had Dusknoir defeat it regardless.

It was odd not getting reactions from his opponent as he blew through another Pokemon. Aegislash came out next and the Pokemon with a shield floated there. Normally they came out with the shield protectively in front. This time though it was out in attack form almost shiny as the entire body was black however unlike the shiny there was no other color just different shades of black and grey. There was only one more Pokemon left after Dusknoir hurled another Shadow Ball taking the Pokemon out.

The final Pokemon in his arsenal was familiar as it was Gourgeist from the haunted house. It didn't get a chance to do anything as Dusknoir defeated it. The trainer returned his Pokemon and withdrew into the smoke. Shaking his head Simon sent out Pidove as he healed Dusknoir. There was a flash of white light as Pidove evolved. Once the light was gone and she flapped her wings Simon scanned it learning she was now, "Tranquill the wild pigeon Pokemon. No matter where in the world it goes, it knows where its nest is, so it never gets separated from its trainer." Smiling at her and thanking Dusknoir for his help Simon returned them both.

Checking out his Pokenav Simon saw that he could actually catch a Skarmory here, that was if he still needed one but since he already caught one it was a mote point. The Vs. Seeker's, from his pack, light had gone off and it was no longer emitting a pulse. Throwing it away he took a seat on the ground before opening his Pokenav and called home. His mom answered and they spoke for a while about random things from Pokemon to his sisters. Stating that he missed her and the rest of the family she mirrored the sentiment. Telling her to give everyone a hug from him he hung up and sent out Dusknoir to sit with him just so that Simon wouldn't feel too lonely.

Yawning Simon decided it was time to go somewhere else when he noticed a young woman watching him. "Sorry I didn't want to wake you if you were going to sleep," she said as Simon rose and shook his head. "Not at all did you need something?""I was just wondering if you'd like to battle me?" Simon looked up at Dusknoir who moved up and down, nodding so he agreed introducing himself as Simon, she did the same, Vicky. Going to appropriate distance away from each other she sent out Raticate first while Simon sent out Tranquill who still wasn't strong enough to battle on her own so he called her back while sending Dusknoir forward.
