Instead of flying away Simon decided to head back into the caves in order to locate more trainers to help level up and evolve the other Pokemon. Koffing remained out and next to him floating while looking for Pokemon to battle. Maybe not this time, but soon he would use Koffing without switching him out. Deep in thought Simon failed to notice the trainer who was resting from his walk. "Hey a Koffing, that means you're a trainer. Care to battle?" It was a nice change of pace to have people who asked instead of demanding. Nodding Simon introduced himself as Simon while the kid was Camper Todd. Todd nodded, "Yeah he's a unique evolution, needs to have at least one dark partner to learn from but Mandibuzz isn't the only dark Pokemon I have." Noivern flapped his wings hard to cause a sonic type Boomburst. Mandibuzz rebounded from the attack and pecked at Noivern with her beak.

Sighing Andrea returned her water duck before sending out, "Poliwrath the tadpole Pokemon. A swimmer adept at both the front crawl and breaststroke. Easily overtakes the best human swimmers." It was actually something new since Simon had only seen trainers use Politoed which required an item to evolve. Poliwrath needed a stone but Politoed needed a King Rock. Dusknoir used more shadow punches, Poliwrath came back from the attack as the spiral on his body spun as he fired back a bubble beam. Shaking the water off another Shadow Punch took out the powerhouse.

Her next Pokemon was an evolution of Eevee that Simon didn't have just yet. "Vaporeon the bubble jet Pokemon. It prefers beautiful shores. With cells similar to water molecules, it could melt in water." Eventually Simon would train three Eevee at a time, it would be nice to have a team of unique Eevee evolution especially if there was another type of move Vaporeon could use. Maybe an ice move or something like that. Dusknoir brought Simon back into the battle and he called out for another shadow punch.

The last Pokemon wasn't expected as Andrea sent out, "Wooper the water fish Pokemon. Wooper usually lives in water. However, it occasionally comes onto land in search of food. On land, it coasts its body with a gooey, toxic film." Normally Simon found evolved Pokemon with trainers around especially in a cave where you needed Fly or Surf to get to and those HMs were only given by later gym leaders. The water and rock type Pokemon attempted to raise special defense in order to survive Dusknoir's attacks however in the end Whooper fainted.

With every step, the petals shake out heavy clouds of toxic pollen." Koffing wanted to battle but poison was weak against itself. Instead Simon sent out Slowpoke returning Koffing.

Returning Vileplume the student, or aid, named Ian sent out a Tentacruel. The connection between Vileplume and Tentacruel was that they were both poison type. Slowpoke's confusion would be super effective but not Koffing's attack. Continuing on with Slowpoke he disliked that he was poisoned but moved on using another confusion as Tentacruel sprayed him with acid. Hitting it with another confusion Tentacruel made it so whoever Simon switches out would get poisoned however a lot of them were immune to it at least Koffing and Noivern were.

"One more Pokemon, I believe in your Koffing," Simon called out as Koffing bobbed up and down in the air. Ian's last Pokemon was "Scolipede the megapede Pokemon. With quick movements, it chases down its foes, attacking relentlessly with its horns until it prevails." Using another assurance this time with no defense buff he did a good amount of damage. Scolipede whipped his tail at Koffing but like how he cant be poisoned the move wasn't very effective which meant Koffing could very well survive this fight. As a bug, that typing wasn't effective against poison either
